Het verloop van het ontbijt!! Je mag niet zelf kiezen waar je wilt zitten. Een onvriendelijke dame geeft je een plaats in een veel te drukke ontbijtzaal! Het ontbijt zelf vind ik heel pover inclusief het verloop van het ontbijtgebeuren: chaotisch, ongeregeld, niet professioneel in een ongezellige ruimte! Buiten eten is ook niet toegelaten terwijl ik dit hotel koos vanwege de prachtige tuin.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Having stayed in St Helier previously the location of the hotel was much nicer. Buses every 15 mins into St Helier. Close to the beach and Gorey. Staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great at breakfast and dinner. Nice relaxed hotel, and whilst it was nearly full it didn't give that impression. Indoor pool and gym very quiet, and nice garden with sunloungers. Would definately stay again.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Pool was lovely and our 3 year old grandson loved the paddling pool. Hotel in general was comfortable with good seating area and bar area, lovely gardens and pleasant staff.
Air conditioning in the bedrooms would have been a lovely as the fan provided didn't do much to cool the room and the window only opened a little. A lift would have been a benefit too but at least we only had one set of stairs.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und höflich, das Frühstück ist sehr gut und für jeden Frühstückstyp ist alles dabei. Von full Englisch Breakfast mit Baked Beans, Ei, Würstchen bis zum Yoghurt mit Früchten. Es lohnt sich, Abends auch im Restaurant zu essen, da besonders köstlich die traditionelle Fish Pie und der Homemade Jersey Burger. Die Lage des Hotels ist super, fußläufig zum Strand, Bushaltestelle vor der Tür. Unser Zimmer war schön eingerichtet, mit bequemen Matratzen und gutem W-Lan. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Die Zimmer sind schön, ausreichend groß und gut ausgestattet. Ebenso das Bad. Es gibt ein sehr gutes, englisches Frühstück und nettes Servicepersonal. Das Hotel ist günstig gelegen, ruhig, aber nur wenige Schritte zur Bushaltestelle. Im EG gibt es Zimmer mit Terrasse.
Wir hatten am ersten Abend einen Wasserschaden im Bad. Der ganze Boden war nass und das Bad konnte zeitweise nicht genutzt werden. Der Schaden wurde zwar am nächsten Tag abgestellt, eine Entschuldigung/Entschädigung von Seiten des Hotels erfolgte aber leider nicht.

An improvement would have been a hook on bathroom door to hang items on and a second chair in the bedroom.

We are a younger couple, hotel caters primarily to retired and elderly people. Die Ausstattung ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Teppich im Zimmer absolut unhygienisch. Frühstück Buffet in Angebot und Qualität klar unter dem europäischen Durchschnitt.

Windows only open a crack and no air con so rooms are insufferably hot. And bedside clocks are primed to go off at 6am. Why can’t the management get rid of them or fix this insane issue? If the clocks are switched off at the mains - say for a vacuum cleaner - when they restart, the 6am alarm is turned on as a default. So guests have to notice the tiny bell symbol on an unfamiliar clock, then have to work out how to switch it off. Needless to say I didn’t so an already restless night in the heat was further ruined.

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026Standout feature was the staff; friendly, efficient and happy to go the extra mile. The restaurant was excellent, breakfast was varied and dinner was also very good. We used the pool every day and it's large enough for a proper swim which is unusual for a smaller hotel. There is also a well equipped small gym and a suana. The hotel location is also very good as the area is quiet and close to some great coastal walks. Everything considered, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again.
The car park can be a bit of an issue as parts are rather narrow and some spaces are small. Also, care needs to be taken to avoid low concrete beams in some parts of the car park when walking around We hired a car which meant travel around the island was easy but I believe the local bus service is reliable and fairly priced.

No air conditioning and the windows were locked to only open a couple of inches tilting outwards so no way to get air circulation. Floor standing fans just move hot air around. In 35 degree heat room was uninhabitable and there seemed no concern by staff for guest welfare - no jugs of water in common areas for example. Signs saying no own food and drink allowed in hotel because of health and safety and licensing laws - no such laws exist to stop this. I would prefer an honest sign saying it was to protect their bar and restaurant income. On check in no local information, offer of a map etc. staff seemed indifferent and only smile I saw was from housekeeping staff.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Naja Jersey sollte eine Mischung aus Frankreich und England sein- ausser den Strassennamen ist da nichts von Frankreich. Touristendurchschittsalter 80, ansonsten ist da nicht viel los. Der Pembrok Pub 50 m weiter ist sehr nett, Essen o.k. , Wandern an den Klippen ist spektakulär- aber alles in allem reichen 3 Tage für Jersey. Hotel ist halt klassisch britisch- ein wenig mehr " France" wäre angebracht. Personal aber extrem freundlich. In Summe - wir waren jetzt mal in Jersey - abgehakt!

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026The ambience of the hotel was very welcoming. Everything was clean and in great condition - nothing was tired like you can get in some hotels. The staff were very helpful, welcoming and thoughtful. You could see that guests who had stayed longer had really strong relationships with the staff. We were only there two nights but were impressed how they had remembered previous breakfast orders and the thoughtfulness of the reception staff.
We really appreciated our stay. It may not be the hotel for people who like lie-ins as everyone seemed to be up early and busy (house-keeping) and guests opening and closing their room doors - most did so considerately.

Very run down. The pool was freezing, the sauna was out of order, reception staff were not always available and only said hello when we did, it smelt foisty, staff walked into our bedroom at 8am on the day of check out, we were not dressed!
