I loved all the beautiful insects that allowed me to visit their room, if it wasn’t for the crazy lady with the crazy dog I do believe it would have been a boring stay. At night I communicated with the league of frogs surrounding my abode, they seemed to have a plan for world domination, I wished them the best with their endeavours. All in all, its basic and metres from the beach

The owner was incredible, and very responsive when you need anything. A kind and gentle spirit with a wonderful personality. The location was right on the ocean with a gorgeous view (30 second walk to the beach). The place was quiet and quaint with a tropical atmosphere. The goal was a getaway and this location far exceeded my goals. In terms of pay vs quality this location easily beats a private beach/resort accommodation - every resort with a beach was crowded with the typical tourist atmosphere, whereas, this accommodation was personal and a true getaway. Right around the corner are restaurants, convenience and grocery stores, a pharmacy, and a filtered water refill station. Other than location, WIFI was good, AC worked great, no bugs inside.

Very nit picky of me, but the bathroom has window ventilation for steam from the shower, in which you could not close (they did have wire mesh for bug protection though, so all good there). Thus, if you ran the AC you needed to keep the bathroom door shut. Very very small critique in comparison to what you get.

Zéro sur 20 les bungalow sont très vétustes une odeur de vieux meuble poussiéreux , salle de bain insalubre . J'ai pris un douche a mon arrivée j ai chopé des champignons 🍄 Quand je me suis allongé sur le lit je sentais les ressors du matelas, je n'ai pas pu rester quand j ai lever les draps et vu la couleur du matelas, je vous passe les détails. Les serviettes de toilette ressemblait a des moustiquaires tellement elle était usé. Donc je suis resté 1h . Puis la patronne vous que je paye 3 nuits et que je parte immédiatement. J'ai donné 50 euros en espèces et je suis parti

Die Lage war super. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Und trotzdem ruhige Lage. Die Inhaberin war sehr freundlich.

È situato alla fine di una spiaggia molto tranquilla e rilassante.. gli alloggi sono ok per gli standard della Thailandia, ci sono ristoranti carini e il mare quando è calmo è molto bello. Abbiamo visto quasi ogni giorno il sole sorgere... E le rocce granitiche fanno da cornice stupenda. Un luogo dove potersi rilassare lontano dal caos del resto dell' isola.

Potrebbe costare meno e avere letti più comodi.

La dueña era muy intrusiva y maleducada, vino a exigir el pago el día antes del check-out, aún teniéndolo reservado por tarjeta de crédito me pidió que pagara en efectivo bajo amenaza de cobrarme un 5% de comisión. No había ningún tipo de gel de ducha, una vez ya había hecho el check in vino a importunarme a mi habitación pidiendome que me limpiara los pies antes de entrar en el Bungalow. Varios detalles de este tipo que no me gustaron.

Leider absolut heruntergekommen. Bett so hart, dass ich es nicht ausgehalten habe. Wand bröselte ab, Laken waren fleckig, schwarzer Schimmel unter kaputtem Schreibtisch, Kühlschrank unbenutzbar und unschöner Geruch.

I loved my stay at Sunrise Bungalow. You’re right on the beach for such a low price, which makes it great value. Even though it’s affordable, the bungalow still has everything you need: air conditioning, a refrigerator, a private bathroom, and more. Besides the facilities, I especially enjoyed talking with the owner and experiencing a bit of Thai culture. She was incredibly kind and even helped me when I had a sun allergy. Another big plus is waking up to the sound of the waves. The location is also very convenient, with shops and breakfast places nearby. I would definitely stay here again!

The bungalows are a bit outdated, but I did not mind this at all. They still have everything you need, and it adds to the authentic atmosphere. I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The accommodation met our requirements for a clean, quiet accommodation in a great location for access to the beach. I really liked the garden setting. We stayed in a twin room which was basic but clean, had plenty of space and decent air con. We were happy with the standard of accommodation for the price we paid and I would happily stay there again.

We didn’t have any problems with the accommodation - but I would emphasise that if you are looking for some of the ‘extras’ you get in hotels, this is not the place for you. The accommodation was basic with no frills (e.g. no hairdryer, no daily cleaning or replacement towels, no bottled water provided in room etc.). This was not a problem for us, as we knew that it was offering basic, budget accommodation and we weren’t expecting hotel standards. The quality of the accommodation on site varies according to price i.e. some of the very budget options are even more basic. Our room was mid range in terms of pricing on the site and we paid more for a room with twin beds and air con. This also meant we had more room and a sitting area. The furniture is worn, but functional. Read the descriptions carefully and look at the photos so that there are no surprises. The only thing that was slightly disturbing was quite an aggressive dog who lived on site. He got a little territorial one day as we were returning to our bungalow. However, although he roamed freely he was muzzled so no harm done and the owner was quick to reprimand him, but it might be a little off putting if you’re afraid of dogs.

The location of the property was amazing and it was tucked away on the quiet part of the beach. The dogs were super cute and the massage on site was very good. She did allow me to change my reservation from 3 nights to 2 nights and only charged for 2, which I appreciate! Small family run with snorkeling and floats avail.

There was no shampoo, soap, coffee, tea or water in the room nor did they have it available at all for purchase. There was no water kettle to make coffee or tea if I wanted to purchase myself and make it in the room. The off the beaten path location made this a bit of a challenge! The room could have been cleaner, turning on the lights made me notice dirty walls, and stained sheets. The sheets were clean, just old and stained. I saw the biggest cockroach of my life when I opened the curtains over my bed.. it was on the window directly over the bed! The grout in the bathroom was dirty and the water pressure was very low and no hot water. Being a less expensive option on the beach, I would have expected some of this, however the combination of it all made me want to give a detailed review. I checked out and stayed a while for a massage and as I was leaving asked if I could use the bathroom on site and was told it would be 20 bhat for cleaning as where it was is ‘private’ and they have to pay the cleaning person.

Es una trampa para turistas, la señora no tenia su mejor dia, es bastante arisca, y una maleducada

Vi tyckte om att det var väldigt lugn atmosfär, då det inte låg mitt i smeten. Väldigt enkelt med enkla ödmjuka människor som tror mer på naturen än lyx och flärd. Om man vill ha en naturlig upplevelse av Koh Samui nära naturen & enkelheten så är detta för dig!

Kanske inte den skönaste av sängar, men det funkade för oss.

Ägaren var super trevlig och hjälpsam och det ligger precis vid stranden där man kan se vackra soluppgångar. Sängen var bekväm.

Dåligt tryck med vatten från duschen och det ligger lite avskilt så det är ganska långt att gå till marknader osv, fanns några restauranger i närheten

Honestly very humble rooms but has everything you need and the host is such a beautiful lady along with her husband, could not have been more helpful and Poom the main host made me and my son so welcome, my son 16 loved poom and loved the area and room for a teenager you would have though wouldn’t be his thing but it had internet and a good bed so he was pleased as punch

Lovely quiet beach, no noisy drunk guests, friendly host and simple, clean room. Just what I needed for a peaceful, relaxing few days, watching the sunrise over the ocean, being close to nice places to eat, get a massage and chill out in the sun, reading a book.

L’établissement ressemble au photo je recommande votre petite maisonnette et juste au bord de la plage ou à 2 pas à pied vous avez une magnifique vue et des petits commerces il y a un super bon kbab halal juste à coter et plein d’autre chose salon de massage resto ect

В данном отеле останавливаюсь второй раз. Домики удачно расположены на тихой улице вблизи от достопримечательности скал "Бабушки и Дедушки". Отличный пляж. Зелёная территория. Доброжелательные хозяева.

Как и везде некоторые туристы шумят по ночам, так что выспаться не всегда получалось.

Also ich reise schon seit über 20 Jahren durch Thailand. Das man ein einstmal gutes Resort so herunterkommen lässt ist unverständlich. Die Fotos dürften 10 - 15 Jahre alt sein. Ich war da leider 14 Tage für diesen Preis weit überteuert. Hab noch extra mehr gezahlt für schönen Gartenblick und dann sehe ich die Müllhalde. Ein sehr muffige Zimmer ich musste eine Duftkerze anzünden damit ich den Geruch nicht hatte, hätte sonst nicht schlafen können. Die Bettwäsche hatte Flecken. Zimmerservice kein einziges mal. Handtuch wechsel nie. Papierkorb der vor der Tür steht wurden die ersten zweit Tage gelert und dann nie wieder. Das Bad wurde mir sehr schutzig übergeben. Es gab keine Seife oder bzw. sonst irgendwas. Die Sitzauflagen waren sehr fleckig und schmutzig. Sauberkeit fehlt in der ganzen Anlage. Natürlich gehe ich nicht davon aus das es so ist wie in Europa aber dann sollte der Preis nicht teurer sein als bei uns. Restaurant wie angeboten hat es nicht gegeben. Strandliegen gabe es 3 Stk. nach 5 Tagen.

Das Personal war sehr nett, der Bungalow war trotz alter sehr guterhalten und gepflegt.

The bed was extremely tough to sleep on. Adding a topper mattress could make things more comfortable. Also would be nice to have a blanket available. no no no no no la

Die Lage war super, wenn man abseits des Trubel sein will. Direkter Zugang zum Strand war super und genügend Infrastruktur um die Ecke auch vorhanden. Bungalow war sauber auch wenn alles schon sehr alt daher kommt.

Ausstattung spartanisch, kein Wasserkocher vorhanden. Nicht aufgeräumte Ecken nehmen der eigentlich schönen Anlage den Flair. Ein paar Tage war okay, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt zu wenig, vorallem für den Preis den wir bezahlt haben.

If looking for a back to basics stay to experience the simple life in a great beachside location then this is for you. The provision of hot water would improve the stay overall.

Die Lage war klasse! Es war so entspannt und eine tolle Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Die Anlage ist top gepflegt und wird jeden Tag weiterbearbeitet. Man merkt, dass die Besitzer dort leben. Es ist eine ganz andere Zuwendung da. Es gibt sogar ein Fitnessstudio. Die Handtücher werden regelmäßig getauscht. Ich kann diese Bungalow Anlage nur empfehlen.

Unsere Matratze war extrem hart. Aber das war auch das einzige was mich gestört hat.

Tako kot sem že prej prebrala v komentarjih, je lokacija res naravnost čudovita. Poleg tega pa je bila lastnica neverjetno prijazna, ustrežljiva in z odličnim znanjem angleščine. Vsekakor bi ponovno prišli sem še enkrat.

Wer höchsten Komfort und sterile Sauberkeit sucht ist woanders besser aufgehoben. Hier zählen der Charme der Anlage und die Nähe zur Natur!

We stayed in the Bungalow right on the beach, it had the most fantastic view from the window and balcony. The room is large and has separate lounge area. The location is good right next to Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks. There are shops and restaurants within a short walking distance. It is on the outskirts of Lamai so you will need a scooter if you want to explore. Staff were great cleaned room every 3 days and run an excellent massage place right in the garden. Owner helpful and kind.

The property is dated, that normally doesn't bother us however the AC was old so it did not work as well as it could have and there was no Kettle. Other than those minor niggles we really enjoyed our stay.

Parfect bungalow, just in the beach with big rocks on the side and a lot of beautiful fishes around the rocks. we had a wonderful sea view from terrace. hotel is so sharming and so stylish, real Thailand and so cozy! people in hotel are very friendly and ready to answer all questions. we are very happy to have choose this bungalow. I wish to come back.

Being right on the beach was wonderful. It was not crowded because the owner does not rent all available rooms. The ease of interacting with staff was great. Great restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

The rooms are a little outdated but, they are still fine. It was an extra $500 baht a night for air conditioning which was a little steep.

Very cheap and great value for money, the staff were exceptionally friendly alongside the owner which really made the experience. It’s located right on the beach with a lovely walk only 10 meters away. Theres a string of local shops and bars within a short walking distance. The rooms are quite warm with just a fan no air-con which would be the only downside. Besides that, I’d highly recommend this location to others :)

You may have read some negative comments about this accommodation. I’d like to reassure you that this is a great place to stay, if you understand the owner. The owner loves her bungalows and has her way of running her business. Because of humidity, it is difficult to dry towels etc. So they are changed every three days, no exceptions. It is a hot tropical place and there are insects about. The owner, an ex hippie will not use pesticides. If you find an occasional bug, just get a glass and remove it to the outside. We had one cockroach in nine days. Easily removed. No stress. Also she is strict about sand in the shower and seemed a bit bossy when we were checking in. So you just need to wash your feet before entering your room. This withstanding, the bungalows are in a fabulous location on the beach and it has its own small village/ community for the evenings away from the noise of Lamai centre which if you want the noise is 200m up the beach. We would only stay here if we revisited Koh Samui. It’s a relaxed place in a beautiful location and is non imposing. But if you expect 5 star pandering, this is not the place for you. We loved it.

The bed was exceptionally uncomfortable. I knew the property was “rustic” but sleeping was tough with such a hard bed. I went and purchased an extra pillow as I can’t sleep with just one.

The location is super nice and the owner was really friendly. Also the place was clean.

I think the property was great 30 years ago but since then there has been zero investment. My fridge, bed, bathroom etc were all really old. Also there were a bunch or roosters on the property which means sleep after 6am was impossible

It's a 1* place, so not posh. However, it was clean and comfortable and as I only booked with 2 days notice great value for money. The owners are lovely (for example gave me bananas from the tree outside my room), and a couple of minor issues with the room were literally, dealt with immediately. I guess I'd describe it as slightly old world but welcoming and homely. I really liked my stay. The location is superb. At the end of Lamai beach (and right on it) so away from the hub but with a nice walk along the beach (with plenty of places to stop off) into town. Also some really nice places to eat and drink within 200yds, for a variety of tastes and budgets: Walk on the Rock and Beluga were both great. The weather was not great during my stay so it was particularly important that I felt comfortable in the resort and locally. If I go to Samui again I'd very happily stay here.

The location was incredible, at the end of Lamai beach, which is really nice for swimming, a 5 minute walk to the grandma and grandpa rocks. The 3 hotel staff were very friendly.

The property was as expected for the price. It was old and maintenance is not there strong suit.

Moody owner, can be very aggressive. Very poor service and rooms infested with ants. For the price, you can find much better service. Avoid this place!

We had a small and cute bungalow close to the beach. The place was kind of old therefore it was really hot inside thankfully we had AC working properly. Staff is friendly kind and available any time. Except the WiFi that isn’t stable we had a great stay at sunrise bungalow. A lot of bars, restaurants and massage around, very close to the place. They propose to rent bike for 250 baht/day, which is helpful according the price of taxis on this island. Thank you

D'autre part le Restaurant est fermé et la salle de sport impraticable. Ne vous fiez pas aux Photos et Commentaires sur le Site. Si possible allez voir sur place avant de réserver.
