White Sand Samui Resort

Me gustó mucho la localización, justo frente a la playa, así como la zona de la piscina, con vistas al mar, que tenía bastantes hamacas y estaba bastante limpia. Los camareros son muy amables. La habitación era muy amplia (cogimos la que está justo con el balcón hacia el mar), la cama era muy cómoda y el acceso a la playa y piscina muy cómodos.

El olor de la habitación a alcantarilla era bastante desagradable. El aire acondicionado no se podía regular bien y te daba el aire en la cara mientras dormías, lo cual nos impidió el descanso, dado que, si lo apagas, el calor es sofocante. El servicio de lavandería, alquiler de motos... es decir, los extras que dependen del hotel son más caros de lo habitual. La recepción del hotel y la entrada dejan mucho que desear para lo que nos costó la habitación, deberían cuidar ese detalle de presentación, ya que es importante. La ducha no es nada cómoda, cuesta regular la temperatura y no se puede modificar hacia dónde da el chorro. La habitación tiene unas escaleras que dan a una terraza que está totalmente vacía, es muy bonita, pero sin ninguna funcionalidad. Para el dinero que cuesta pasar la noche ahí, le faltan muchos detalles y servicios bajo nuestro punto de vista, pero como la zona, los accesos, la playa y la piscina nos encantó, pudimos disfrutar de la estancia. Es un hotel correcto, pero necesita arreglos.

Quiet end of Lamia Beach clean water.Rooms were clean and comfortable.Easy walk to a 7,11 and laundry service next to 7,11 was good also.Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great place to stay if want to chill out.

L’emplacement, la plage est magnifique, la piscine est sympa. Les chambres sont jolies, plancher en bois, salles de bain agréables.

Le personnel a l’accueil est assez stressé et stressant. Ils insistent lourdement pour récupérer les serviettes de piscine , ils demandent si on a rien cassé ni volé en partant… tout ça en faisant semblant d’être aimable.

Just spent 1 week at White Sand Samui with our two teenagers. The staff were very helpful and accommodating in ensuring that we had rooms next door to each other. The pool area is so pretty and we always found a bed, right on the edge of the quiet end of Lamai Beach, which was perfect for us as we enjoyed our walks into town during the day and again in the evenings to have a meal (a nice 10-15 min stroll along the beach or from the road). We found it a bit too dark to walk back along the beach at night as part of the beach is narrow and the tide comes in. We enjoyed eating at the nearby beach bars and restaurants, there are 3 or 4 right next door. The food at the hotel restaurant (can eat around the pool and get room service also) was fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. All in all a great place to stay, would come back.

Het ligt prachtig aan zee! Je kunt er heerlijk wandelen. Mooi zwembad. Vriendelijk personeel. Wij hadden een kamer met het zwembad voor de deur. Heel fijn. Ontbijt is prima. Goede koffie.

Nous avons été surclassé dans une villa avec piscine, c’était merveilleux! La piscine est magnifique, la plage est belle, les massages sont très bien, le personnel est aux petits soins, une navette aller-retour permet d’aller en ville, quelques restaurants aux alentours.

Impossible d’avoir un transat de libre car les gens réservent avec leurs serviettes tôt le matin et ne viennent pas de la journée. Le restaurant de l’hôtel n’est pas aussi bon que ce que nous avons goûté ailleurs.

Czystość w łazienkach, klimatyzacja naprzeciwko łóżka, słabe oświetlenie, pokój duży ale brak półek na przechowywanie rzeczy, walizki musiały leżeć na podłodze. Ostatni shuttle bus do centrum odjeżdżał z hotelu o 17.

Les petits déjeuné sont qualitatifs et variés. Personnel très professionnel. hôtel très calme. et bien situé sur la plage de lamai. Le service de navette gratuite permet de se rendre rapidement au centre ville.

l'environement proche de l’hôtel est moche. L’hôtel aurait besoin de travaux de rafraichissement peinture, mobilier...

Beautiful location right on the beach. Having pool right near the beach was amazing.

The location of the hotel is excellent, on a lovely stretch of Lamai beach. There are plenty of sun loungers both around the picturesque pool and on the sand as well as beach towels in your room for you to use. The staff are all delightful - super friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast is served in the restaurant which is open to the outside with pool and beach views - very pleasant. Eggs in a variety of forms were freshly made for you by cheerful staff members Bedrooms are very spacious. Good amenities in the room such as a fridge, umbrellas for showers and daily bottled water. There is a massage centre attached to the hotel for open air treatments at a reasonable price. On Thursdays, there is a barbeque on the beach and a brilliant fire show. However, the hotel overall could do with some maintenance, for example rusting railings that need painting and some of the wooden bedroom and balcony furniture was scratched and chipped. Breakfast was pleasant enough for a couple of days but then became rather monotonous as it was l much exactly the same every day. In addition, breakfast staff were great at clearing plates away, but not so good at topping up the breakfast dishes so there was always something that had run out or had gone cold. There is a fitness room but the multi gym was broken, the a/c did not work well and there were no free weights so it wasn't really functional. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but with a few tweaks this hotel could be even better.ll

T plekje aan zee

Airco maakt veel te veel lawaai. Paar keer over geklaagd maar werd niet veel mee gedaan helaas. Zelf een andere kamer aangevraagd wat een andere gast wel heeft gekregen. Helaas bot gevangen. Werd beloofd een kamer met uitzicht. Mwahhhh niet echt dus. Echt jammer Personeel daarentegen super! Alleraardigst. We hadden ontbijt vergeten erbij te boeken dus per keer afgerekend. Maar wat je ervoor krijgt mag wel wat aan gedaan worden.

Sand Samui Resort was disappointing. The room had a persistent septic/plumbing smell that made it unpleasant to be in. We understand that plumbing can sometimes be an issue, but this should be managed better for guests. We reported the smell several times and were told to communicate via WhatsApp. While the staff were polite, responses were often slow, sometimes taking hours, and we repeatedly had to ask for a room fragrance burner to be lit to help mask the odour. The location is good and the facilities are decent, but the ongoing smell and lack of timely communication significantly affected our stay. We hope the resort addresses these issues, as it has the potential to provide a much better guest experience.

Malgré la demande d avoir 2 chambres côte à côte ( enfants de 11 et 13 ans dans l autre chambre), nous avons eu 2 chambres pas cote a cote pour la première nuit et avons pu changer le lendemain. beaucoup de bruit provenant de la chambre d à côté (chambre communicante). Petit déjeuner peu varié

Our mattress smelt damp from the atmosphere. Whilst the staff where very kind and friendly they did little to help with rectifying the smell….the mattress needs aired, not just burning an oil burner in the room!!

Unser Zimmer war extrem veraltet (so wie die gesamte Anlage), alle Wasserhähne extrem verkalkt und in die Jahre gekommen 😬. Das Zimmer, welches entgegen unserer Reservierung zum Nachbarn und nicht zum Garten gerichtet war, bestand aus ganz Dünen Wänden. Die Eingangstüre hatte einen Spalt unten und es war sowas von laut und man hörte alles durch Wand und Decke. Grauenvoller Aufenthalt, wir haben nach der ersten Nacht abgebrochen und sind ins nächste hotel nach Boputh weitergezogen. Zimmer war für das gebotene viel, viel zu teuer, ich kann jeden nur abraten!

The property was perfectly located for us at the quiet end of Lamai Beach. The in house massages were great. The pool lively and staff amazing! Min and all his team went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. The beds were super comfortable!!

It would be nice to have somewhere to relax in the evening other than the restaurant, a small lounge area or similar to have a drink or play cards as a family. We used other businesses nearby due to this but would probably have come back to the hotel after dinner out to do this if an area had been available. Also a gym would be a nice addition, there are a few areas that would be suitable to set up even a simple area.

Le lieu est vraiment magnifique. Calme et au même temps il y a pleins de petits restaurant à côté. La chambre était silencieuse et le lit vraiment confortable. Le personnel était très agréable.

Le seul petit bémol , mais à mon avis cela doit être un problème général sur l’île, c’est l’odeur qui dégage de la salle de bain.

Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, groß, geräumig und sauber ! Das Frühstücksbuffet ist großartig, die Auswahl ist sehr vielfältig! Auch die Feuershow mit BBQ hat uns sehr gefallen.

Es sind für die Größe des Hotels zu wenig Liegen vorhanden . Sowohl am Pool, als auch am Strand.

This is NOT 4*!! White Sands could and should be 4*. The location is beach facing, the pool areas are pleasant and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The issue seems to be that it is managed dreadfully and seems to focus on penny pinching rather than good customer service (not 4*). The reception staff are rude and unhelpful (the way they have been trained I guess). I have attached photos to demonstrate the state of the place etc. When we arrived (Friday evening) we were told that our room would not be available until the next day so they were 'upgrading' us. We had booked the room 8 months ago and did not want to move rooms after unpacking. There was no management on site as 'it is the weekend'! Eventually after 30 minutes of phone calls we eventually sorted out a solution. This whole experience is not 4*. We were told they regularly overbook and then try and sort it out. There are two sets of steps to the beach. One is completely dilapidated and blocked off and one is a mess and pretty dangerous (not 4*). The sunbeds on the beach are very old and uncomfortable and no sunbeds have any cushions (not 4*). There are not enough sunbeds and yet the resort invites passing tourists to use the sunbed you have already paid for, for THB500 a day (not 4*). The towels in our room were old, frayed and dirty (not 4*). The quilt (duvet) was old and lumpy and took two changes to find one that wasn't (not 4*). The restaurant furniture is very basic and uncomfortable flat hard wood (not 4*). Housekeeping had to ask permission to give us more tea and coffee as there was only one coffee each and one tea each in our room (not 4*). There is a list of fines on the wall for damage/loss of everything, including even the mattress (I have never seen this in a 4* hotel). There was a power outage by the power company for a whole day (these things happen), which meant breakfast ended an hour early, but apart from a small notice in reception, it was not communicated at all to the rooms (not 4*). The general attitude of the reception staff, the junior managers and even the general manager was the most unprofessional and non hospitality I have ever experienced. We have travelled for 2 months across Malaysia, Borneo and Thailand and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in. It needs some money spending and a complete management overhaul. The staff at the bar/restaurant were great and very customer focused (especially MrA).

Pas de lampe de chevet dans les chambres, juste un spot haut perché ne permettant pas de lire le soir Les balcons des chambres standard donnent sur l’arrière du jardin de l’hôtel voisin (vue pas terrible) Très excentré par rapport au centre de Lamai. Il faut compter 30 mn à pieds le long d’une route fréquentée pour rejoindre le marché de nuit. Ou alors commander une moto sur Grab. Le matin les transats le long de la piscine sont vite occupés.

Les beach front bungalow sont parfaits avec une vue magnifique sur la mer ou vous pouvez bénéficier le matin du lever de soleil. Restaurants de plages aux alentours et personnel aux petits soins. Les installations et services ( bar, restaurants, plage) sont de très haute qualité. On reviendra avec plaisir

We booked on short term and were really happy with the place. No need to look for better beaches, our own was really nice. Staff from restaurant and room service was very sweet, we want to mention Mr. MIN, who pampered every guest, a real host! Reception team was partly unpleasant to deal with, just the lady with the covered head was always friendly. The hotel looks a bit „used“ but it is still nice as accommodation.

המלון חדרים שיוצאים מהחדר ישירות החוצה. מכיוון שהיה קריר וגשם זה היה מוזר. כמו כן כדי להגיע למסעדות צריך ללכת בכביש ראשי די סוען או דרך החוף שלא תמיד נחמד אם מזג האוויר פחות נחמד. המלונות האחרים שהיינו היו ממש על רחוב המסעדות כאן פחות.. חוף הים נהדר.

Wir hatten einen rundum großartigen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel-Resort. Die Lage ist einfach perfekt – ideal zum Entspannen und Genießen. Die Zimmer waren sehr ruhig, äußerst komfortabel und boten alles, was man für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Ein großes Lob geht vor allem an den Restaurant- bzw. Barmanager, der mit seiner offenen, herzlichen Art maßgeblich dazu beigetragen hat, dass wir uns jederzeit willkommen und bestens betreut gefühlt haben. Insgesamt ein wunderbares Erlebnis – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

It is a great resort with friendly and helpful staff, especially the pool guy which was our favorite during our stay. The rooms are clean and nice with good ac and new towels and water every day. Most of the negative parts are out of the hotels control. The reception could be better at English and the sea was not that nice during our stay, but the restaurant and bar staff was very friendly and genuin. Usually you can get a couple of sunbeds if you are up and about a couple hours in the morning. If you are late to the pool and can’t get one, the pool guy will do his best to find a solution. We were there during new years and they put up at great show for us with live music, although you had to pay for the new years buffé and such. The breakfast was great, not that many things to choose from, but the things available were delicious. Overall we had a great experience and especially propps to the amazing restaurant and drinks staff!

Traumhaft schöne Lage direkt am Strand mit wunderschönen Sonnenaufgängen. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr gute Massagen direkt am Strand mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Das Foyer/Empfang sind wirklich sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig und vermitteln einem beim Ankommen ein falsches Bild von der Anlage.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Pool Zugang. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Die Lage, schöner Strand, nette Bars in der Nähe. Massagen in der Nähe. Gepflegte und schöne Atmosphäre. Nicht weit zur aussichtsplattform

Wir buchten über Booking, inkl Transfer vom Flughafen. An der Rezeption wollte man dann 800 Baht. Dafür hatten wir extra mehr bezahlt im Vorfeld, sowie bei Booking im Angebot war, aber das wollte man nicht akzeptieren. Unser Zimmer war seeehr hellhörig. Jedes Gespräch, TV, Alles hörte man.

Die Lage ist hervorragend. 2 Pools mit Blick auf das Meer. Zum Strand 1 Minute wunderschön Liegen und Schirm. Sehr sauber, nettes Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Lo que más me gustó fue la amabilidad del personal. Todos muy amables y serviciales, siempre con una buena actitud. En especial Nim muy muy amable!!!!

Booked 2 x Double rooms at first then upgraded and extended our stay at White Sands Samui Resort We relocated from an adjacent accommodation and were very happy at White Sands Resort, staff and all expectations were met well regarding the resort. Pool area was super, and dinks was on hand, staff were very friendly at all times. massage facilities on premises is professional and reasonable priced. Negative: We decided to stay longer and also upgrade to 2 x Pool side rooms, we had a family member with a mobility constraint and management would not offer a ground floor room to us in the same accommodation block, so elder family member did struggle with the stairs - poor management.

Negative: With resort been so quite the restaurant mostly empty resort management should have offered lighter and more affordable meals, for guests. Most of guest had the same concern and would use adjoining resorts for more affordable and smaller meals. Lighter Alla cart breakfast menu was not available Buffet was far to much and not something to be positive on Food was not 100% at times. We decided to stay longer and also upgrade to 2 x Pool side rooms, we had a family member with a mobility constraint and management would not offer a ground floor room to us in the same accommodation block, so elder family member did struggle with the stairs - poor management. Airport transfer should be offered as an included item in these types of resorts, and we did not have a good experience when we left with the resort shuttle, reception gave preference to another guest who was leaving 15minutes before we did, which left us unhappy having to urgently arrange a personal taxi to the airport. Also manager wanted to charge full fare for a shared shuttle which is not acceptable, as we had stayed in 6 different resorts throughout locations in Thailand, and this was not the normal practice

El tamaño de la villa y la playa del resort. La atención fue genial, nos alquilaron la moto en el mismo resort y nos agenciaron el taxi de vuelta al aeropuerto.

Op het strand! Strand is prachtig. Wij waren er in oktober en het was heel erg rustig. Hadden mooi weer. Personeel was super vriendelijk. Heeft een scooter voor ons geregeld. Ontbijt was goed. Lekkere koffie en heel veel heerlijk fruit.

La proximité de la plage

Definitivamente o melhor destino da nossa lua-de-mel, a localização é soberba. A praia está a 2 metros do restaurante tal como da piscina. Ideal para quem quiser aproveitar o melhor dos três. O pequeno-almoço é magnífico, tem variedade e o serviço é super simpático e prestável. O pessoal todo do hotel foi incrível e fez a nossa estadia memorável.

O preço do restaurante é um pouco exagerado, principalmente em relação aos preços em redor. Também falta um pouco mais de oferta vegetariana, num país tão rico em comida vegetariana, gostaríamos de um pouco mais de variedade.
