Abbey Court

We were very pleased with our stay starting with a comfortable bed and the quietness was great surrounded by spacious grounds and the river. The breakfast was superb with plenty of everything and the hosts were friendly and informative about nearby amnenities and attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property for value for money to anyone. John & Chris Higginson

I enjoyed my stay here, really friendly and helpful hosts, excellent breakfast, lovely view and a few mins walk into the centre of Kenmare for restaurants, bars & shops.

Great owners, nice place.

Beautiful grounds, friendly hosts, easy walk to Kenmare city center, good breakfast. Recommended!

We had a lovely stay and the owners were very accommodating to meet our needs. Highly recommend.

Great hospitality and fantastic property

The property hosts were delightful. The breakfast was yummy. The surroundings and recommendations were spot on.

Brendan is a wonderful host.

Room was very nice and quiet, easy access to what we wanted to see. Breakfast was wonderful.

Beautiful location with nice hosts. Great breakfasts too!

Nice room with a substantial breakfast.

The property was located in a beautiful and quiet setting, excellent breakfast.

Excellent stay with good staff and breakfast.

We had a beautiful second floor room that led to spacious living room with a great view of the sheep pasture and the water. The hosts were warm and made us feel welcome

Great location and friendly owners that made sure your stay was comfortable. They gave as great information on the sites... breakfast was wonderful. Their B & B was beautiful with car parking. Hated to leave. We should have stayed longer in Kenmare.

Nice and clean

Beautiful property and facilities.

The b&b was wonderful with the nicest and most accommodating hosts. Geraldine and Brendan couldn’t have done anything better. Breakfast was very good and filling. Bed comfortable. We would stay there again if in the area. Kenmare is a cute village.

This property and the owners, Geraldine and Brendon, are charming, helpful and do everyone ensure that you have a wonderful stay. The rooms are clean, quiet, comfy and breakfast is top-notch. Highly recommend this place.

The property is very well maintained and is in a beautiful location. Hosts - extremely friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.

This B&B was so cute. We had a nice chat with one of the owners before leaving for dinner then had ample privacy. The property is so beautiful. in the morning the free breakfast did not dissapoint and when we told the other owner that our tour got cancelled she went out of her way to draw on maps telling us other places to visit. We took her advice and had a great time seeing things we would not have readily seen online.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at Abbey Court. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the location was quiet and beautiful, with a great view of an ocean inlet and beautiful grounds. The full Irish breakfast was fantastic. Our room was clean, and while the bed was a tad more firm than we'd prefer, it is well maintained and spacious. The only downside is that if you're not really looking for it as you come in, you'll have a hard time finding the entrance, and it doesn't come up well on GPS.

Geraldine and Brendon were quite helpful. The BB was very clean, lots of parking and full Irish breakfast. Light breakfast options available also. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

It's a beautiful inn in a beautiful location, a perfect place to relax but also very convenient to town.

One of the best B&Bs in Kenmare, without question. The hosts were very pleasant. My room was cozy and had a spectacular view of the river. I would highly recommend it.

The view is spectacular, and the owners are very knowledgeable about the area, the world in general and know well the border between friendly and intrusive. the food in Kenmare is simply amazing.

A little hard to find

We arrived early but were warmly greeted by Brendan who showed us to our room, then offered us tea and coffee which he served with some biscuits. He chatted with us including telling us places to see and showing them to us on the maps which he loaned to us. The room was quiet and comfortable with everything we needed. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast with cold and hot options and another delightful chat. The last morning his wife was there and we had another lovely breakfast and visit with both of them. They are very welcoming and accommodating. It is clear they enjoy meeting new people and are true B&B hosts. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

Beautifully decorated property and superb host. Great view of the harbor.

The host was excellent and made us feel like guest in their home. Located in a quite location close to town and with a nice view of the sea.

Loved our stay at Abbey Court. The staff were wonderful, from early check-in, to tips on what to do, to the fantastic breakfast each morning. On top of that they are just friendly and lovely people who provided us with the perfect space to enjoy Kenmare, and tour the Ring of Kerry. 5/5 and would highly recommend.

The place was very clean and the host was very kind and caring. The breakfast was very nice. I would go back there again

Excellent

Great location to explore the area. Easy walk to the town centre for dining / drinking / live Irish music. Nice people to stay with.

Absolutely fabulous B&B. House and rooms were really nice, everything so tastefully decorated and layed out. Beautiful views of the Kenmare river out the back of his house. The host was so nice, he took the time to make us tea for us and visit with us when we arrived. He gave us some great information about the areas we would be visiting. My wife travels with a service dog and sometimes we aren't always greated with open arms but our host welcomed us and our little companion with open arms and made us feel right at home we do very much appreciated his kind and warm reception.

Super helpful staff and wonderful views!

Excellent host and breakfast. Pleasant residential area close to town centre.

Really friendly, very helpful suggestions where to visit, provided maps, spotlessly clean, breakfast excellent

Nice staff and breakfast. Quiet. Close to town

Brendan was the perfect host. His caring, patience and attention to detail was suburb. He was very accommodating to our needs nothing was too much trouble. Great location, close to Kenmare town and stunning surroundings. Will return again and highly recommend. Such a fantastic place to stay.

Lovely b&b in a good spot. Easy walk to town. Nice bed tho pillows a bit big for me. Nice shower. Super service from Brendan the owner and generous breakfast to set you up for a day or activity.

Would highly recommend

Spotless stay, a warm Irish welcome, quiet and close to town

Nice, friendly and informative staff. Great breakfast and cozy accommodations.

We really enjoyed our stay at Abbey Court. We were traveling with our 11 month old and they provided us with a roomy cot and high chair for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean and comfortable. There is a large communal sitting area with a beautiful view to wind down in after sightseeing. Brendan and Geraldine were happy to make us tea at the end of the day. They are so friendly and kind to us. The b&b is less than a 10 minute walk from the town which was exactly what we wanted. Home away from home for 3 nights. We would definitely stay there again when we're back in the area.

The accommodation was very comfortable, the hosts were excellent and very friendly. Lovely breakfast and would stay again. Lovely people.

Very clean, very comfortable and very welcoming. This was a lovely place to stay. Everything was perfect from the welcome cuppa to the view from the window to the huge breakfast to the map and advice from our host. It was just a little too far to walk into town but it is only a couple of minutes drive. This is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Ireland.

Would highly recommend to anyone. Friendly service great breakfast

Locations and helpful owners.. good breakfast! Great pubs and restaurants in town, walking distance.

Brendan was an excellent host. His home/BB is locat3d close to town and has all of the amenities you need for a visit to Kenmare. The breakgast served was excellent and our overall experience was great.

Convenient and comfortable overnight stay while travelling in Kerry County. Hosts are friendly and helpful with necessary information on dining and sightseeing options.

Property was in excellent condition and staff was very helpful.

It's in off the road out of the way, parking is no problem, freshly made breakfast, choice of 3, reception on arrival was A1, Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Brendan and Jer are wonderful hosts. Full of knowledge and tips about the surrounding areas that made our days very interesting. The location and Abbey Court itself was ideal.

Beautiful property and excellent breakfast

Friendly, helpful and convenient. Welcome tea on arrival

Our hosts were very accommodating making wonderful recommendations. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very delicious.

It was spacious and comfortable and the owners were welcoming and friendly

The owner and his wife were super nice and helpful...we just thought the shower was very small but I think that's probably a European standard...great location to town and the ring of Kerry...breakfast was really good also

Enjoyed our stay in B&B Our hosts Brendan & Geraldine were so helpful suggestion places to visit and giving directions. Excellent breakfast. 15 minute stroll to town. Room with a view so nice to wake up to.

Great B&B walkable to city and many restaurants and pubs. Great host and hostess. I would stay here again.

Did not feel the B&B was value for money.

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Our hosts couldn’t have been more attentive and acted as expert tourist guides. Great sleeps followed by fine breakfasts. Nice strolling distance to Kenmare town.

This B&B was perfect for our needs. The room was clean and comfortable. Towels changed every day. Full Irish breakfast was excellent, with additional choices of cereal, fruit, bread and toast to set you up for the day. The hosts were most helpful and offered advice on places to see as well as attending to us throughout our visit. It’s also situated in a great location, close to the Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara, and within 2 hours of Cork and Dingle. Would recommend this as a great place to stay and would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Iontach.Gaeilge á labhairt an t-am ar fad.

Great place to stay, really nice people and very clean and comfortable, would definitely stay here again if I went back to Ireland

Had fantastic time. Place was spotless and breakfast was to die for.Brendon was so courteous and helpful. He advised us where to go on Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara. and where to eat in Kenmare so we didn’t waste any time. The weather was lovely so our visit was perfect. Would definitely recommend Abbey Court to anybody visiting Kenmare. Chris &Dermot Dunne

We loved our stay and Brenden is the perfect host. Walking distance to Kenmare and all it has to offer We had a fantastic nights sleep as the bed and pillows were perfect Breakfast was fabulous cooked by Brenden We would definitely recommend Abbey court

Beautiful place in a wonderful location. Town is close, great care by Brendan. He made us an excellent breakfast and was pleasant host.

What a great place for a stay. Hospitality was top notch. close to the village and a great place to start the drive for the Ring of Kerry. I would definitely stay here again.

Great b&b friendly staff and comfortable bed , breakfast could not ask for more

Peaceful, comfortable with nice gardens. 10 mins walking distance outside town. Nice full breakfast as well.

Amazing property in great location near town center with stunning “ocean” view behind building. Attentive n helpful wife n husband hosts team.

Very friendly b&b owners, accommodating late check in. Wonderful breakfast options. Room is a little dated but clean.

The hosts were very nice, and the breakfast was excellent, but the room was very small and the bathroom extremely small. In addition, the property was a good walk from the center of the village where it was necessary to go for dinner, entertainment, etc. (but the host very graciously drove us there so that we only had to walk back). My husband and I are not B&B people and this experience solidified our view; we prefer hotels centrally located, so consider this review with that perspective in mind.

The property is located close to town. An easy walk. Hosts were exceptionally friendly. The mattress dipped quite badly in the middle and was noisy. There was a laminated sign in the room saying they didn’t accept credit cards so we needed to pay cash.

A lovely clean B&B!

One night stay. Very comfortable. Nice rooms. Breakfast ok. Great power showers.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. That made up for the discomfort of carting our luggage one floor up.

The hosts are what really make this place stand out. They are so helpful and accommodating. Their words of wisdom about where to go and what to do we’re spot on.

Owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Facilities were up to date and suffer no signs of neglect. And the town is lovely as well.

Beautiful large, quiet house and views. Very nice owners who made us very welcome with tea and biscuits on arrival and then sat down with us with maps to help with the next days travel plans. Our room was clean with a comfy bed and a great shower with nice thick towels. Good internet. Great breakfast with loads of choices for both hot and cold foods in a lovely dining area. Easy walk to thriving town for shops, food, pubs etc. Great choice!

owners very pleasant and helpful; however they should mention on check in that it is cash only for payment; close to town; highly recommend eating @ Lily's

Lovely b&b but would only accept cash payment despite advertising otherwise

I was in Ireland for two weeks and this was my favorite B&B of the entire trip. The owners are amazingly helpful and friendly and seem to truly care about their guests. They are a wealth of knowledge about where to visit, and the best way of getting there (lots of tips for driving around the ROK, for example). The home itself is beautiful, with a lovely view of the lake. The breakfast was also great, with several choices. The B&B is in a very good location, just a 10 minute easy walk to the town center. I absolutely loved this place and would go back in a heartbeat.

Loved our stay! Beautiful home and warm welcoming, helpful host

A great B&B. Good sized, well appointed in a sublime location. A short distance out of town, but whisper quiet. Would happily come back.

Absolutely loved it

Loved staying here. It was a beautiful estate with clean and comfortable room with private bathroom. There was plenty of onsite parking. Hosts were kind with lots of great advice on the area. There is an Aldi grocery 5 minute walk and town center is only about 15 min walk. Very convenient location. Room was cleaned each day while I was out. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abbey Court. Brendan and his wife made us welcome and they were very knowledgeable about the local attractions and what we could see on our subsequent trip. The pub which they recommended for an evening meal had excellent food and beer and the band played Irish music acoustically without overloading our eardrums. The Abbey Court breakfast is a feast, so much so, we skipped lunch. The house layout is such that it gives residents a level of privacy which you do not normally find in B&Bs. We definitely recommend staying here if you are in the vicinity of Kenmare.

Thos B&B is lovely. The grounds and view are amazing. It was a great place to start and end the Ring of Kerry drive. Much more quiet than Killarney. The rooms on the bottom floor are a little noisy with people above you but not the fault of the B&B. Breakfast was wonderful with a lot of fresh fruit and grains in addition to the Irish breakfast. The host was so friendly and hospitable. He helped us figure out the best way to Blarney Castle and Cork. These B&Bs prefer cash.

Nice house and grounds, very helpful hostess, good breakfast, BUT the beds in our room (a triple) were the worst we have experienced in two trips to Ireland: mattresses sagged, could feel springs, and mine creaked loudly when I got in or out.

Great place!!!!

Disappointed credit card not working Weather not kind but great location

Another wonderful place to stay and we have several during our visit to Ireland. Our host is very helpful. She helped us with things to do, provided maps and suggestions. Her daughter helped with made to order breakfast. Her place is amazing, lots of character, like living in an old castle of sorts, with plenty of living room to hang out and beautiful backyard. Short walk to town center which I also find very lovely. I wish I stayed a few days in Kenmare. It is a good place to base oneself if visiting Kerry and Kilarney National Park.

Checked in early to a welcome of coffee and tea and as many biscuits as you could eat to the friendliest owners you will meet anywhere. A 12 minute walk outside town, at a slow pace, means the location is quite with a view. Breakfast was fabulous and the owners made sure you knew how to get the best of the time with them and following day. Anyone wanting a lesson in what customer care is about should stop here. Abbey Court is motorcycle friendly with some stunning roads nearby and a garage to put your bike in should you feel the need.

Nice host/family at Abbey Court, let us choose our room upon arrival (as a few were available). They gave us information with restaurant recommendations and the route to take to visit the Ring of Kerry. Full breakfast freshly cooked for us in the morning as well! It's a nice and well-maintained house.

The B&B was very nice as was the staff, good location to the town centre. The breakfast was excellent. The only complaint, if you could call it that, was the bed was a little firm for my liking. My wife had no problems with it, but I tosssed and turned all night. Consequently I was tired the next day.

The staff is very nice and very helpful. Told us all those tourists' attractions.

The room was comfortable, though the beds were pretty hard. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. The host gave great restaurant recommendations. Abbey Court is a 10 minute walk from the super cute village of Kenmare, which has several restaurants, bars, and shops. I would stay here again.
