White Heather Farmhouse

Sheila is a wonderful hostess. Very attentive and personable. I was the last guest of the season and had the place to myself. Well managed and very well located. Highly recommend.

The owner is very accommodating. Breakfast was quite good. Room was comfortable.

Sheila was very helpful and made a fantastic breakfast in the morning. They have a lovely farm you can walk around. Any information you would need they would be more than helpful to provide you.

We had a great stay at the White Heather Farmhouse. The room was fine with a comfortable bed. Best of all, Sheila was a wonderful host and she provided us was a solid breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended!

This was one of the top highlights of my trip to Ireland. The farm is lovely (enjoy petting the cows and baby lambs!) and the owner/hostess (Sheila) is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She also makes an excellent Irish breakfast. Seriously, don’t miss this place.

We broke a cardinal sin of B&Bs, arrived later than expected, at 7:30 pm due to many factors... however, we were greeted with several pronouncements, we were late(yes we were), we interrupted her dinner, she didn't think we were coming, she missed Mass because of us ( it was Saturday), she doesn't take credit cards (told us several times "it was in the contract", and since we booked last year the rate went up and it's 10 more euros per night. Well hello to you too. Rooms were adequate, the sheep on the farm were very entertaining, and breakfast was wonderful. She was super friendly the rest of our stay, but beware CASH ONLY

Staying here was the most wonderful experience of our trip to Ireland!

It was generally a good stay. Older facility but in nice shape. The shower was so so, although good hot water. They didn’t take credit cards for payment, it had to be in cash. Be sure to get the eire code, or your gps will take you to the wrong place. Good breakfast.

The innkeeper is a delight!

Beautiful country home with charming hosts. I highly recommend this experience

Host and grandson were so lovely and welcoming. Cozy and quiet stay and delicious breakfast had us on our way. Recommend!

The owner of the property was very nice and friendly, the property itself was a bit dated but clean

Fabulous hosts and location nice.

This was one of our stops as we toured the wild Atlantic Way. The hosts were very communicative, and accommodating around our arrival time. Fantastic experience to stay on a local farm who served a traditional Irish breakfast. While we are not a fan of white and black pudding, we loved the experience. The views were stunning, and we loved the resident cows.

The room was pretty dirty with cobwebs all over. The owner was very nice.

Beautiful farm stay, Sheila is lovely, the breakfast is great, and the surroundings are lovely.

White Heather Farmhouse is a few minutes drive from Kenmare - in the country but convenient to everything. There is farmland all around, so it’s peaceful and quiet - we had a heifer outside our window! The hostess, Sheila, was so knowledgeable about the area - she had lots of great recommendations of where to visit. And the breakfast was great as well - the perfect way to start the day! Highly recommended!

Quaint and quiet location in the countryside. We were able to accomplish The Ring of Kerry and the City of Killarney by car from here.

The best part was Sheila, the hostess and her warmth and helpfulness. Wonderful area.

Wonderful farm stay with a lovely host. She made us feel right at home.

Quiet and peaceful. Great hosts.

Owner was wonderful and made sure we felt comfortable and welcomed!

Very welcoming and accomodating hostess

We tried to stay at all different bnb's on our trip ...this was our farmhouse one. It's a nice place.very clean ... wonderful owner very nice lady. It's not your usual bnb ...more like your own room and bathroom in your aunt's house ... living room to match. Very authentic and enjoyable. Very near ring of Kerry and a short drive from town.

Wonderful owner.

Location was incredible for enjoying Kerry, Killarney and Kenmore. Quiet sleeps at night and a gracious hostess!

Sheila greeted us at the door with a big hello and made sure we had what we needed the two days of ourwe enjoyed the peaceful seyting greatly. Best night's sleep! Convenient to kenmare and ring of kerry. Yes somstay

Cute place

Very peaceful place to stay beside mountains. Lovely to wake up in the morning listening to the lambs. Beautiful breakfast and Sheila is very helpful and friendly. My daughter, 9 years old, enjoyed the stay very much.

Quiet away from the town, great nights sleep

The view from our window was so gorgeous that we didn’t want to close the curtains to get some sleep (sunlight until about 10:00 pm in Ireland at this time of year)!! Our stay here was a highlight of our driving trip around this magical country.

We had a great stay. Such an ideal setting for us to begin our journey!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was relaxing and the breakfast was generous. Hearing the sheep outside made it special. The location was gorgeous and the host was very helpful and welcoming!

Lovely stay, very clean room

Loved the farmhouse. So unique and green and just beautiful in a very peaceful setting. Sheila was a wonderful hostess. Loved talking with her. Bed was comfortable and I loved the homemade breakfast. Also loved walking around the farmhouse up to the top of the hill for spectacular views of the village. Saw sheep and was impressed this was a working farm! Wished we could have stayed longer.

Sheila and her husband were really kind and very pleasant. It was really neat to be in a farm setting.

Miss Sheila was a lovely hostess and the views were spectacular

It felt like we were being welcomed back home upon arrival. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, sheets were a bit shy though. Less than 5 minute drive to town (Kenmare). Fresh breakfast both full Irish and half in addition to a small sideboard. Pillows a tad flat but that isn't unique; comfortable mattress with blackout curtains and we were able to sleep just fine. Be forewarned if you haven't read the fine-print: bring cash. Your CC is only used to book the place. Oh, and the wi-fi pretty much won't work if you're at the end of the hall like we were, so you'll have to take yourself to the lounge they have.

Comfy stay, very homelike a quick taxi ride into town.

All very nice... no complaints.... close to town and Shelia was very helpful... no credit cards, which is very normal... would happily stay there again!

We stayed here for 1 night during our travels in Ireland and found it to be comfortable and quiet, but we wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. The B&B is in a great location with respect to exploring Kenmare and the surrounding areas. Although it sits on a busy road the traffic noise wasn't an issue whatsoever for us as our room was on the backside of the house, away from the road. Sheila the hostess was welcoming, very friendly, pleasant and lovely to talk with. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and fully functional but the furnishings were quite tired and dated. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The unacceptable issue we had with this B&B was in relation to the bath towels provided.....they smelled so badly of sheep manure that it was repulsive to both of us and we couldn't use them.....and consequently it made us question the overall cleanliness of the B&B as a whole.

The host was friendly and engaging, full of local history and recommendations of things to see and do. We did 3 weeks of b&b in Ireland and all were good, but this was outstanding.

It was a great stay. Glad we had cash though as credit cards not accepted.

Sheila is a delightful hostess: it's a bit like staying with your favourite (great) aunt - depending on your age! The house is a 4 km drive from the nearest town, but beautifully peaceful and quiet. Our room was and our bed was comfortable; the breakfast abundant and very well presented and cooked. A real taste of rural Ireland, in every sense, and very handy for the beautiful Brera peninsula: the Brera Ring is just as beautiful as the Ring of Kerry - but has no coaches!

Great location, cozy farmhouse, owner is very nice and amenable, amazing cooked breakfast.

Very pleasant experience. Our only inconvenience was the shower was very small and difficult to maneuver within; other than that it was a great stay!

After having difficulty finding the farm, we were warmly greeted and found everything to our liking. The cows in the nearby field added to the ambiance!

Wecoming lovely hostess, farmhouse B and B in beautiful countryside. Value for money, good breakfast.

lovely place to stay. Sheila, the owner, was delightful

Windows in the room did not close / lock properly. Shower small and shower head nonexistent. Room was cold at night. Light curtains. Blankets rather than duvets. You need to drive into town, too far to walk. Paid the same price in other b&bs for better room quality.

Nice but maybe less than expected from the reviews of others. Not the least expensive option. Good but not great breakfast.

I loved this place. The surrounding farm was tranquil and beautiful. Wifi not great that day. The owner was as upset as we were.

The area of this B&B was fabulous. For us having a farming stay made it all more interesting. Walked up to the area to the cows and goats and even watched the owners grandsons feeding the animals. You are not far for driving back into Kenmare for food, shopping and even a glass of beer or wine. Great location to get onto the Ring of Kerry. Just a good location from the hustle and craziness of a larger city. Would return.

Sheila the owner was bubbly and no nonsense. Her breakfast in the morning offered many great choices in a farmhouse setting. We enjoyed watching her husband and their border collie on the hill behind the Inn.

We received a really nice welcome by Host with tea and lots of useful information about the Area while taking a rest in the guest sitting room! The house is in a great location less than 10 mins drive to town and is facing picturesque mountains!

Host was excellent, very welcoming and a great character
