An Unforgettable Luxury Experience – Easily One of My Absolute Favorites WorldwideI only wish I had known just how incredible this hotel truly is before booking. It completely exceeded all of my expectations across location, service, ambiance, and wellness. I have had the pleasure of staying at many beautiful luxury properties around the world, but without a second thought, this has become one of my favorites.The quality here is exceptional, right down to the finest details like the premium skincare products and high-end tea bags. The breakfast buffet is genuinely one of the best I have ever experienced globally. While the pool is absolutely beautiful, the spa and wellness facilities are the true highlights. In addition to a gorgeous jacuzzi with hydromassage, a cold plunge, a sauna, and a steam room, they feature a comprehensive wellness facility offering every treatment imaginable—complete with an on-site doctor. The fitness center is massive and spotless, and they even provide a calendar of complimentary daily activities. Everything throughout the property is meticulously maintained and cared for.The service is, without question, the best I have ever received. The staff is polite, highly attentive, and incredibly skilled at anticipating guest needs. Their vocabulary and English are excellent, and everyone genuinely seems happy to be working there. The room itself was beautiful, comfortable, and featured a huge balcony perfect for sitting and enjoying the ocean view. While my room did not have a private pool, they do offer options that include one. My only regret is not staying longer than two nights—next time, I will book at least a week to fully enjoy everything, including the on-site zipline!I wish I could remember the names of every professional who made my stay so special, but a few standout team members deserve recognition:Fern (Front Desk/Check-in): Absolutely amazing. She gave a highly detailed explanation of the hotel, rooms, and daily activities.

The staff is outstanding , property is really well kept , very good options for kids too to spend time …not the best beach in front - but they make it up with their attention to details - which you can’t neglect when you start exploring the resort and inside the room too Very kind and generous staff around , I’d like to take two names that were stand out for us 1. Elisa from front desk / Manager - who is such a kind soul and made sure our kid got all the attention - he still misses her - her effortless bonding with him and us - left a lasting impact - my kid gave her a greeting card (4 year old scribbles ) as a memory - she specifically made sure our kid got rides to room in the door less cars which he was crazy about 🙃- thanks for going extra mile and making sure our kid was super happy - we don’t have their selfie unfortunately which is with Elisa 😂 2.Baifern was always kind enough to provide recommendations , made sure she took time out to explain the in and arounds of phuket - very courteous and kind - great talking to her and bonding - while she was also new to phuket and not her native town - she called up friends and wrote stuff Down for us 🙃 3. Can’t remember who the Physio was in wellness Center - she was incredible with her work on my shoulder pain - she also detailed our where the pain points where - how to take care of them for future - extremely good Physiotherapy session - i think it was Zara If you are reading this - many thanks Zara (hope I got the name right) Many thanks for hosting us and we will be back again

It's excluded from the main city's busy areas, which might be quite a drive back and forth. But the purpose of a wellness getaway is the exact place to stay in

Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations, and the level of service was simply not commensurate with the price paid or the standard expected from a hotel of this category. From the very first day, the front desk experience was extremely poor. The room was handed over late, and worse, when I finally received it, it was not fully ready and several essential items were missing—issues that should have been checked and resolved before allowing a guest to enter the room. The front desk experience on our final day was also extremely disappointing. This confirmed that what happened on the first day was not merely an isolated incident, but rather appears to reflect a broader issue with the quality of front desk service, organization, and guest handling. Another major issue was the large number of mosquitoes and bees around and inside the room. This significantly affected our sleep, as we were repeatedly bitten at night and struggled to sleep comfortably. We reported the issue to the hotel as early as the second day of our stay, yet no effective solution was provided until our final day. For a hotel of this category and price level, it is extremely disappointing that a problem directly affecting guests’ comfort and sleep was left unresolved for most of the stay despite being reported early. In addition, the way some of the golf carts were driven around the resort felt unsafe at times, which is particularly concerning for families with children. The coordination between Layan Active Zone and the hotel was also extremely poor and disorganized, resulting in a frustrating experience. A much higher standard of communication and coordination between the two should be expected. Overall, the service provided does not reflect the price paid, nor does it meet the standard expected from a hotel of this category. While the property itself may have positive aspects, the repeated service failures, poor coordination, delayed response to reported issues, and lack of attention to basic guest comfort made the overall experience disappointing.

This is the very first time I have stayed at a resort where I truly felt loved by the team every single day, every single moment of my stay. I honestly didn’t want to leave, and I will definitely be back. Next time, I’ll bring my mom, the person I love the most, to the place that made me feel the most cared for. Before I even arrived, Kana/Khana.. took wonderful care of arranging my motorbike rental, I love exploring town with motorbike. She made getting around the island incredibly easy, and I truly appreciated all of her assistance before my trip even began. A heartfelt thank you to the Housekeeping team for keeping my room so comfortable and perfectly equipped with thoughtful amenities. I was especially impressed by your attention to detail and how beautifully everything was organised even my charging cables, which I had left in a complete mess! Ingfah, the breakfast hostess, made every morning effortless. Ingfah’s breakfast orientation was clear, well-sequenced, and incredibly helpful. Ingfah recommended the perfect table, which quickly became my favourite spot. I was rushing to check out, I’m convinced Ingfah could read my mind. Ingfah offered me a Pure Matcha Coconut for my long journey from Phuket back to Koh Samui. Thoughtful moments like this made me feel truly loved by the team. Nice anticipated my needs before I even had to ask. Every dish she recommended turned out to be exactly what I loved. She has an amazing ability to understand her guests. Mina, Yayah, and Joe!! You three are simply incredible. You absolutely spoiled me throughout my stay. Every recommendation you gave and every thoughtful gesture made my holiday even more memorable and truly completed my experience. Pooh, my destiny buggy driver! Somehow, he always seemed to be the one driving me wherever I needed to go throughout my stay. He was always polite, drove carefully, and knew exactly how to make friendly conversation without ever being intrusive. Game gave me an unforgettable resort tour across the resort’s 160+ rai (I cannot remember the exact number, so sorry it’s so bigggggg). Everywhere I wanted to explore, he happily took me. Even when certain areas weren’t accessible to guests, he always found an alternative so I could still enjoy the experience. He waited patiently without a single complaint, even when I spent quite a while admiring some of the locations. Ran (staff) and Panwa (the adorable blue-and-yellow bird mascot), completely made my day at The Active Zone. And yes, I really do mean an actual bird! Panwa first flew over to the restaurant while my friends and I were having breakfast. Later, when we moved to the boxing ring on the other side of the resort, Panwa somehow flew all the way over to find us again. As we were leaving The Active Zone, Panwa even flew alongside us and escorted us all the way to the padel courts near the exit. It felt like Panwa was following us throughout the day, making every encounter feel magical. Together, Ran and Panwa created one of the most unexpected and memorable moments of my stay. Thank you everyone at this resort for filling my stay with so much joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

We had an amazing stay here and it truly showed what genuine luxury and personalized service should feel like. Every team member made us feel warmly welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. This is a gorgeous hotel in every way. Beautiful rooms. We had a 2 bedroom with a pool. It felt like a little piece of heaven. Great service. The best breakfast I’ve ever had and I travel a lot. Zuma at night was great. Great beach area and spa and wellness center. I would definitely come back. You don’t need to leave the property, everything else pales in comparison. But know that it is far from town if you plan to go.

Every now and then you stay somewhere so special that it ruins other hotels for you. This was one of those places. If you’re considering this property, stop overthinking it. Pack your bags and go. I genuinely struggled to find a single thing wrong with our stay. We stayed in a suite that felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. There was a dedicated work area, a separate luggage space, a huge bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the sea where I spent sitting listening to birdsong while staring at the ocean. The resort is spread across beautiful grounds with varying elevations, so complimentary buggy services are available throughout. What amazed me was their efficiency. The buggy drivers operate with military precision—you call for one and it seems to arrive before you’ve even left your room. Every member of staff seemed to know our names and greeted us warmly throughout our stay. Breakfast deserves its own section because it is simply outstanding. The variety is staggering. Fresh coconuts, premium tropical fruits, perfectly ripe mangoes, freshly baked breads, a dedicated healthy living corner preparing fresh wellness shots, and even a cheese room. Every morning felt like a special event. The beachfront restaurant, Breeze, has one of the most spectacular dining settings I’ve experienced. Imagine dining with panoramic sea views, mountains in the distance, hammocks swaying in the breeze, and swings inviting you to slow down and relax. The food and drinks were excellent, but honestly, the view alone is worth the visit. Nearby you’ll find the resort’s main infinity pool, perfectly positioned to make the most of the stunning scenery, as well as a charming gift and souvenir shop. They have Dara, the Thai restaurant, Above the restaurant, guests can participate in a stargazing paid for session using a telescope. I highly recommend this activity. Our host, Ms. Bunny, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. The spa facility is beautiful. However, my absolute favourite part of the property was the wellness centre, Layan Life. This is not your average hotel gym. The state-of-the-art fitness centre overlooks a tranquil pond, allowing you to exercise while watching birds and nature around you. The wellness facilities are exceptional. There are warm and cold plunge pools, excellent steam rooms and saunas, infused water station, and beautifully maintained changing rooms equipped with Dyson hair dryers and Dyson straighteners—a thoughtful touch that many guests will appreciate. The reception ladies at Layan Life were wonderful.It became my favourite place in the resort and is one of the biggest reasons I plan to return. Another hidden gem is the resort’s farm area. Watching the ducks and birds in such peaceful surroundings was surprisingly therapeutic and added another layer to the property’s connection with nature. Although the resort feels secluded, we never felt trapped. In fact, we rarely wanted to leave. Food and beverages were reasonably priced compared with many luxury five-star resorts. For those with a car, complimentary parking is available. We drove to nearby Laguna Boat Avenue, which has excellent restaurants, spas, and a lively Friday night market that is well worth visiting. The resort also offers a variety of activities. During our stay I participated in Global Wellness Day and had the pleasure of meeting holistic practitioner Dr. Kedar Joshi. He spent time explaining crystal healing and alternative wellness practices without any pressure or sales pitch. His passion, knowledge, and generosity with his time made a lasting impression. I would strongly recommend staying at least three to four nights here. There is simply too much to experience in a shorter stay. One aspect that matters enormously to me when travelling is cleanliness, and this resort excelled in that department. This hotel manages to achieve something rare. It offers luxury without feeling pretentious, wellness without feeling preachy, and relaxation without ever becoming boring. Most importantly, I left feeling genuinely refreshed, rejuvenated, and already planning my return. If you appreciate luxury, cleanliness, thoughtful service, wellness, and memorable experiences, this resort is not just a hotel—it’s a destination in itself.

Plenty of interesting people to meet around the resort but really not crowded at all. Possibly the best buffet breakfast we’ve ever had, and we also tried all restaurants on offer - amazing food! Definitely give the hibiscus margarita a try by the pool… We stayed in a Deluxe Layan Suite - a stunning room with the most amazing view, huge comfy bed and every amenity we could possibly need. Gym facilities and complementary activities (fitness classes etc) were an added benefit we enjoyed throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Difficult to decide between 4 or 5. The place itself is gorgeous and staff is great as always in these sort of higher end spots in Thailand. However, we did have a few inconveniences that ended up making our stay a bit less relaxing than we would have initially hoped. However, still quite good.

El único inconveniente es que por la mañana es difícil meterte al mar porque la marea es muy baja pero en la tarde, sube y además hay una piscina temperada que también es buena alternativa.

Location was as expected quiet and away from the main hustle and bustle. Atmosphere was relaxed and chilled. As a GHA Discovery member we received a room upgrade, which was excellent. I'd give Anantara top marks for hotel amenities, while the service was top notch! As with most hotels it is the staff that make it great! By Day 2 all the staff knew us by name. A special mention to Kamill and Ing who both made the service we received and our stay outstanding and memorable... Many thanks Team!!

We celebrated our anniversary here and are truly grateful for all of the staff for making our stay so memorable. From the warm welcome at Reception by Fern, to the excellent service at Dara Restaurant by Boombim, Fern, and Thida, as well as the wonderful team at Breeze Restaurant Anne, Jinny, Bruno, and Mam everyone made us feel genuinely cared for. A special shoutout also goes to Nuchie and Kamille at breakfast for their outstanding hospitality. A great stay which exceeded expectations. It was my second time in this hotel and I remember the first stay several years ago was OK, but not really "wow"! This time it felt like many things improved significantly: quality of breakfast was amazing, the fitness and wellness centre was a highlight, the service and efficiency were impeccable. I will be back.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the airport—only about 20 minutes away! Although the restaurant choices are limited, each one offers excellent quality. There's a private beach in front of the hotel, a small farm at the back, and a lotus pond in between. You could easily spend a few days here without ever needing to leave. And of course, Spa Layan is not to be missed.

Superlative resort. Modern, beautiful, exceptional service, attention to details. Amazing dining, spa, wellness and tennis. Lovely pools and wonderful private beach. We will be back for sure.

The people who work here are what really makes this hotel stand out . They were always friendly and made such an effort to speak to you. They have a can do attitude and so nothing is too much trouble. A big thank you to Mina for looking after us she was so helpful with our travel disruptions. The location is beautiful and the villas are set in lush gardens, which are all dotted around so you get a good level of privacy and quiet. The breakfast had everything you needed and more with lots of exotic fruits and international dishes and along with a view of the sea, it was perfect. We visited several restaurants on site. The Italian Breeze was lovely, along with the Thai place. At lunch, the wood fired pizza's were some of the best ive ever tasted and the sushi was good as well all served on the beach. The Villa's had Diptyque amenities which we loved and we bought two Kimono dressing gowns as we loved the design and they were so comfortable. We loved our stay here and would not hesitate to come back as this place is a amazing.

First experience at Anantara and what a shock of how pleasant it was. First and foremost, the location was huge and having golf carts take us around was such an ease to see the different sections they had with front door pick up. The restaurants on site were super accommodating and delicious. It’s truly a resort that you don’t need to leave if that’s what you wish for. Dara (restaurant) has an observatory at the top which only a few locations have this. Despite the cloudy and monsoon season, we were still granted a tour and this alone would make you want to star gaze all night. The staff was friendly and even upgraded our room on arrival. The aromatic and elegant smells of the lobby welcomed you as soon as you walked in bringing you to what true luxury should be.

I have visited Anantara several times previously and each visit keeps getting better and better. We truly appreciated and very much enjoyed our stay at one of the Residences this time. The butler, Khun Pom, was extremely attentive and took great care of us. At Breeze, all the wait staff were extremely friendly, especially Khun Jean with her lovely and welcoming smile. Finally, the Guest Experience Manager, Khun Mina, made sure her team welcomed us from the moment we stepped off the plane until we checked in for our flight home. I have and continue to recommend Anantara Layan to all my friends! It is truly a gem not to be missed. And for those of you who may not know - award winning White Lotus TV show was filmed at Anantara Layan.

Was just a very short family 'staycation', the hotel is truly stunning, staff are all excellent, big thanks to the very lovely Khun Diamond from Front Office who checked us in and paid lovely attention to our 4 year old. The rooms are beautiful, very high end with awesome amenities, the bed was huge and super comfortable which made for a very dreamy sleep. The food was excellent, we most ate snacks and light bites, breakfast was wonderful, tons of choice with some really cool stations. All in all it was a great stay, will book for longer next time!!!!

The Resort Manager and his wonderful team make our stay so very special, comfortable and fabulous. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and we could not fault anything.

This was our third visit to Anantara Layan - in the same Pool Villa. We return because we have such fond memories - of the exceptionally well designed pool villas , the options for delicious food ( we dined at Age, Dara and Breeze ). The Wellness Centre is a welcome new addition and the spa provided an invigorating massage. The Resort is beautifully laid out with palms , ponds and lillies in all the right places . Above all the staff - under Tomo’s and Mina’s guidance are so welcoming and helpful - without being intrusive - near the best we have experienced over four decades of travel in the East .

I can't believe I got the amazing experience I saw on a TV show in real life! The staff was helpful especially when I had an unexpected injury and tended with quick care.

he “beach” is artificial and the water disappears with the tide (still very shallow even at high tide), the food is overpriced with small portions, the pool is tiny, and it’s inconvenient to get around because you must rely on electric carts due to the steep terrain.

Great resort with beautiful views for sunset. In the morning when the tide is low you can walk out and explore the local island. The on site restaurants Dara and Age are excellent. Breakfast is really good as well with fresh juices etc.

We had a wonderful time in Anantara Layan Phuket for the second consecutive new year holidays. Because we are loyal customers hotel management provided us with the same perfect villa. New year dinner and especially orthodox Christmas dinner were perfect thanks to the Italian Chef! We would like to thank Nahed for constant support of every our request that made our stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

Outstanding resort at a beautiful location on a private beach. We ate at all 3 of the restaurants where the food was lovely and the restaurants were all nicely located. The wellness centre and gym are outstanding, brand new Technogym equipment. I would like to make a specific mention of Kana at the concierge who was very helpful. The overall vibe was luxurious and the rooms were well appointed. I’ve stayed at many resorts in Phuket is this is by far the best and worth the extra price.

The location of the hotel is good. Although the beach is not ideal, it has a beautiful sea view. Our beach villa is very big. Quiet and private. The beach outside the house feels like our private beach. The hotel staff are all professional and enthusiastic.Especially Ms Nessa who takes special care of us every morning.She is so friendly, attentive.And Mr.Emmy.He is such a gem.He not only greets every guest warmly, but also remembers everyone's room number and even their preference for drinks. And all the club car drivers. They are all enthusiastic and efficient. Always respond to our needs in the first time. But AGE restaurant dropped the balll in a hard way.It's not the fault of any employee, but the design of this restaurant itself.There are so many high steps to walk and there is no elevator, haven't you considered the guests with mobility difficulties? And there is no reminder that there are many steps to take during the reservation process.Please install an elevator or at least remind guests on the page introducing AGE that this place is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.

When we have choosed this hotel we were expecting something WOW but honestly it's not. We have paid more than 600euros per night to have a bad experience First the location is very far from everything, there is nothing arround the hotel and you feel isolated. Second, we have booked the suite with private pool and it was near a jungle so many mosquitos, flees and big gekkoos were coming to the terrace. We were not able to enjoy the pool by night Third, the sound of Tokay gekko in the night was too loud because the room is close to the forest and we couldn't sleep good The beach is not nice at all. The only good points of this hotel are the nice design, the breakfast and the kind staff Hopefully we have booked for 1 night, we will never go back again there Forgot to mention that you have to take a lot of stairs to reach your room, there is no elevator which it was never mentioned on their website There are many nicer hotels in Phuket that they offer better services and amenities

A flawless resort experience. They strive for excellence in every way and achieve it. Simply amazing in every way, from location to facilities to customer service.

Just a lot of little issues. I received an email before we arrived. I responded with the time and said if it was possible to get into our room earlier than 3:00 pm that would be appreciated. I got a response that I’d have to pay a full room rate for an additional night. I said that wasn’t a welcoming response. They apologized and said they would make every effort. When we arrived we did get in earlier so that was good. When we got into our room (I paid for an upgrade from our initial booking) we went out to enjoy the pool in our villa. It immediately wasn’t great as there was construction happening close to our room. So we went back into our room as it wasn’t relaxing. Then, shortly thereafter some of the hotel staff started drilling into the wall of our villa. I had to go out and ask them to please stop. After this I called the front desk and complained. They agreed to move us the next day but couldn’t immediately as the resort was fully booked. We then decided to go for dinner at one of the resort hotels. We ordered two appetizers and two small pasta dishes. The quality was average at best and portions incredibly small. This cost is $3,750 Baht or $150 Canadian. That is excessive by any standard for small portions and average food. When we returned to our room after dinner, we could hear the blasting music from the main building with the restaurants. It was like staying next to a night club and we had to use ear plugs to sleep. Our travel agent shared all our concerns and we did change rooms the next day. We specifically asked for a quiet room away from the main building. It was better but couldn’t immediately still clearly hear the music in the room. Our travel agent suggested it be turned down for the benefit of all guests. They did not do that. Beyond all this, this resort was a massive disappointment and definitely not a 5-star, relaxing resort experience we expected. Especially given the high prices.

Our return to the Anantara Layan did not disappoint. A beautiful hotel set in a fantastic secluded position and boasts great facilites, including the gym, restaurants and rooms; the latter being one of the best we have ever stayed in. Whilst the facilities are a huge lever in attracting clients it’s staff and their attitude is its biggest weapon. They are a credit to the hotel. Special mention to; - The site duty managers Camille and Mina. - Noon, Dao, Bella, Noi, Mod and Ammie in the Spa. - Dao, Luke, Milk and Pim from Villa Operation. - Wood and all the team members on the beach including Tony and his team. - And all the other team members from Housekeeping to the Buggy team. Thanks for a wonderful stay and hope to return.

Exceptional service. The staff are very attentive to help with caring. They go out of their way to help. One of a kind experience that I had a peaceful and memorable experience. The view of the room is stunning.

Anantara Layan Hotel Review – Short & Sharp • Location: Beautiful Layan setting—peaceful, private, and comfortably away from the busy Patong crowds. • Hotel: Excellent setup with spacious rooms, elegant design, and genuinely warm service. • Exceptional Facilities: The wellness centre and active zone are standout features—outdoor gym, boxing ring, and a great energy for staying active. • Restaurants: Overall very good, but Darra is on a whole different level. The dishes are refined, creative, and executed with true culinary artistry. Every plate felt like a masterpiece—flavours balanced perfectly, ingredients treated with real respect. The chef’s passion is clear in every bite. We loved it so much that we ended up dining there three nights in a row. We were surprised how come its not michelin start yet!

We have just arrived home from a week long vacation. The hotel is simply the most beautiful hotel we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The rooms are magnificent, superbly appointed and fabulously well maintained. Breakfast every morning was a veritable feast with the widest range of food on offer. I am on a gluten free diet and was extremely well catered for. The facilities are wonderful too as you would expect from a 5 star resort. Every member of staff was so professional, so friendly and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We would love to mention everyone by name so apologies to those we don't single out. Huge thanks to Kamille the Beach House Restaurant Manager - an amazing professional worth her weight in gold to the hotel. Thanks too to Nana the assistant manager, Belle the chef and Nuchie all who made breakfast so special. Every day before we could reach our sun beds Prince, Gene, Nook or Porsche were there ahead of us with fresh towels and cold drinks. They provided us with all our needs and warm friendly banter all day. Thanks also to Num and all the friendly golf cart drivers. And at the end of the day thanks to Vipa for the warm friendly turn down service. If there was any downside to our trip it was that the construction work impacted our enjoyment to a degree and Zuma restaurant-as an outside franchise- just wasn't to the amazing standard of Anantaras own restaurants.

If you are looking for a fabulous vacation, this resort would be your best option. There are diversified facilities like the gym with the most advanced technogym equipment, the semi-private steam, szuna, hot & cold bath at wellness centre, Thai boxing & rock climbing at active zone with professional instructors, lounging by the poolside or at the beach and the SPA with service ranged from massage to beauty. Plenty of local excursions options are also available. You must be able to find activities you would love to participate in. The food is amazing at Dara (the Thai restaurant) and Age (the steak house). Even for the breakfast buffet, some of the choices vary everyday. The Gin and wine collection at different restaurants are comprehensive. You will have a full stomach all the time. And of course the stunning view by the poolside and at the beach. The most impressive part of the stay is the staff. Everyone is so attentive, genuine and cheerful. Just relax and you would be in good hands. Would definitely be back again <3

A truly fantastic resort, perhaps a bit out of the way, but all the more beautiful for it, with extremely friendly service that, for example, made sure we never got wet in the rain. Great restaurant dara and one of the best breakfast selections we've ever had in Thailand

We stayed 2 nights as a Sala Pool Villa. The room was amazing, beautiful and had a breathtaking view. The food was excellent. The kids club had a lot of fun! as a 3 staff was kind with my kid. Khun Meena and Khun Fern greeted us upon arrival and was incredibly attentive during our stay. We would love to come back.

Overall a great hotel. Accessibility is limited for those with baby strollers or wheelchairs as there are many stairs going to the rooms, restaurants and even the kids club! Swimming in the sea is limited to high tide only as low tide takes the water way out into the ocean. Seatings by pool is very limited and seats by the beach is too hot on a sunny day because there’s no shade at all, except for the beach umbrellas that are quite small compared to other hotels. Breakfast is amazing with a special room just for cheese! Other restaurants are just so so and expensive compared to good restaurants outside the hotel. A 15 minute drive will take you to Porto mall. It’s an outdoor shopping area. There you can find many shops, restaurants and massage centers.

This is by far one of the best properties in Phuket. It has everything you could ask for stunning views, a private beach, and all the amenities you need. The gym is exceptional, equipped with brandnew machines for fitness enthusiasts. If you want to relax, run, or rest, this place has it all. Plus, having Zuma right inside the property is a huge bonus, bit outskirts but worth it. A true slice of paradise every moment here was worth it, and the staff made sure I felt genuinely cared for.

My husband and I have visited Anantara Layan several times and always enjoy our stays here. We decided to return for a short break in October 2025 and, as usual, booked directly through the hotel’s website, which offered a great daily room rate. We love staying in the Deluxe Layan Suite, although we’ve tried several different room categories over the years — all have been immaculate, spacious, and beautifully maintained. During this visit, the resort was in the process of upgrading the beach, which we were told would be completed within a couple of weeks. This improvement will make a huge difference, as we’ve always loved the resort but felt that parts of the beach were affected by the winter monsoons. Even though the work wasn’t yet complete, we could already see a big improvement — it’s going to look fabulous once finished! As always, we were greeted with the warmest welcome upon arrival, and that warmth continued throughout our stay. The entire team at Layan is genuinely friendly — everyone smiles and says hello, from the gardeners and housekeeping staff to the bar and beach attendants. A special mention goes to Mina, who always takes such great care of us and was incredibly accommodating this visit, especially when we almost had to cancel last minute. Also to Yayah, one of the breakfast waitresses, who greeted us each morning with a big smile, remembered our coffee order, and always made sure my husband’s marmalade was ready at the table. And to Nahed, who welcomes everyone so warmly in the lower lobby — she’s always smiling, full of positive energy, and genuinely interested in how your day is going. I wish I could take her home with me! Honestly, I could mention so many more members of staff — every single person goes above and beyond to make your stay special. Anantara Layan truly is a wonderful resort with exceptional people. Whether you’re staying overnight or just visiting for dinner at Age or Dara, or lunch at Breeze, you won’t be disappointed. We’re already looking forward to returning in February 2026!

We had an outstanding experience thanks to a staff member named Fang. From a distance, she noticed I was limping and immediately offered help with an ice pack and even arranged for a medical staff member to check on us in our room. Later that day, she assisted with our checkout, making sure we were comfortable and personally speaking with our taxi driver to ensure he arrived quickly and at the correct location. Her attentiveness, protectiveness, and professionalism were truly above and beyond. Fang turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless and reassuring experience, and she represents the very best of the hotel’s service. She’s an asset to the resort establishment.
