Grove Farm House B&B

Breakfast was great, host was incredible!

Grove Farm House B & B is lovely. Our host was really friendly, she made us a cup of tea when we arrived. Made sure we we're comfortable.

The lovely lady owner was absolutely fantastic , kind , helpful I felt like I was hone from home . Beautiful location peaceful will be coming again

Fantastic location with beautiful rural views. Good signage so it was easy to find. Our room was modern, comfortable and very clean. Nellie is a wonderful host and her breakfasts truly tasty (especially the rashers!). This was a return visit after a gap of a few years and it remains our favourite choice to stay when visiting Thomastown.

A very enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting. Nellie was very welcoming and helpful. Absolutely recommend.

Wonderful. Mary and Pat were so helpful and delightful hosts. Very warm and comfortable accommodations.

Beautiful gardens. Wonderful hostess

This is a lovely farmhouse, with amazing sunsets from a sunroom. The hostess is very nice and the breakfast was delicious.

Very clean, quiet and welcoming farm experience. Nellie is a great host

A warm and welcoming home. Nellie is a joy to talk with and makes you feel at home. We are sad we were not staying longer.

Nellie and Richard were great hosts. Nice breakfast. Farm setting in the country ... beautiful location. We would stay there again.

A beautiful place to stay in the countryside, hosted by Nellie. She was very hospitable, warm and friendly and made a lovely breakfast. Very peaceful, would definitely stay here again.

Quiet location of the beaten path. The hostess was friendly and hospitable. A very good breakfast elegantly presented. A wonderful welcome to Ireland.

A beautiful place to stay in the countryside, hosted by Nellie. She was very hospitable, warm and friendly and made a lovely breakfast. Very peaceful, would definitely stay here again.

This was a lovely place to stay! The conservatory was a great to sit and visit with other travelers. The view was wonderful, and the breakfast devine!

Lovely stay with a very kind host

Nice place, great breakfast. Comfortable beds.

Beautiful property and a wonderful owner

The host was amazing. She prepared breakfast as well as tea and treats. She even rescued us when we got lost.

Everything we expected and a great way to end our trip to Ireland. Beautiful property and cute accommodations. Slept like a rock!

The host so welcoming with hot tea after a late arrival. The place was beautiful however the second night our cell wasn’t working so we got lost on the country roads. Our host and her husband came to rescue us. If you like the country setting with cows roaming in pasture you will enjoy the quiet at her farm.

This was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet and secluded, but friendly and very homey.

Like the location, close to Cashel and Cahair. Gracious host.

The property has the most amazing views. Nellie, the host, is a delight and made us feel more than welcome. If ever we’re back in Ireland we’ll stay again. Thanks for having us Nellie

Great stay at the is B&B, We wanted to experience a farm stay , the host were very hospitable and friendly , warmly welcomed us, the room was clean and comfortable and we had a great breakfast before departure.

Nellie was a wonderful hostess and made us welcome with tea and cake. The house is located in a very rural area so be prepared to drive in order to find an evening meal. Breakfast was lovely, especially the bacon! Look for the signs near the property as our satnav took us to a slightly different place. The signs are clear and easy to find.

The host was fantastic and the setting was beautiful!

Beautiful location and the owners were so warm and welcoming!

Excellent! and booked at short notice.

Great country-side, B&B very cosy and Nellie our host is terrific

We LOVED this property! Nellie and Pat were absolutely delightful, helpful, and so friendly. And Nellie is a fabulous cook! The farm was beautiful, from the cows to the barley fields, to the views. It was quiet and so serene to sit on the patio and watch the sun set, then have a fabulous night's sleep. I wish we could have stayed longer! I can't recommend this enough!

The scenery was breath taking and the hostess was lovely. Nice big room and a delicious breakfast the next day.

Despite the proprietor having indicated to Hotels.com that she had closed for the season, Hotels.com were still booking stays there. She was very welcoming and we spend a really nice night there. There are no facilities for eating out on site or even nearby; the nearest village is Thomastown some 12km away on tiny, unlit, lanes.

Good B&B.

The Grove Farm House exceeded my expectations! Lovely, spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast. Breathtaking views of the emerald countryside. Charming and kind host - Nellie! I couldn't ask for more!

Absolutely blown away by this B & B. In one of the quietest and most beautiful places. Pat and Nelly both really friendly. It was like all the comforts of home. If you want to get off the beaten track and enjoy the beautiful country side would definitely recommend a stay. Well worth it

Friendly & welcoming

The owner was very accommodating and offered tea and 'cakes' as we came in late. Very kind to sit and talk with us a bit about the farm house and the barley harvest there. Very nice visit and allowed us to sleep later and choose breakfast time

I was offered tea and homemade buns on arrival. It was much appreciated after a long journey in the heat.

Nice B&B in the country with lovely service.

This house has a lovely history of being in the family for several generations. The garden surrounding the house is lovely.

Beautiful country location surrounded by outfields and grazing cattle. Our hostess couldn't have been more kind and hospitable. We had a most comfortable and enjoyable 2-night stay.

The property was rural, beautiful scenery. It was comfortable and clean with lovely traditional features.

Excellent isn’t really a good enough review for this place. It far exceeds that rating. Nellie and Pat couldn’t be more welcoming or obliging. Their hospitality knows no bounds and it was an absolute joy staying with them. So good in fact we stayed an extra day. If we ever go back to Ireland, we will be staying here again.

Amazing place with fantastic hosts Pat and Nellie. Lovely fresh air on a remote farm.

Very Basic. Very noisy when other guesses were going into their rooms. Could hear them walking arpound the rooms. Light left on in the corridor all night, which shone throught the bedroom door. From once the other guesses settled it was very quiet and peaceful.

Amazing place. Got real lucky with weather but it would have been amazing either way. Can not say enough about Nellie. Perfect hostess and could not have been any nicer. Will definitely make a return trip one day

Lovely host, very clean, decor from the 70”s so a bit weird

The farm was beautiful and it was very restful being there. Nellie was delightful. She made us tea when we arrived, a bit frazzled from trying to find it. The room was perfect and there was a delicious breakfast. It's amazing that it was only about 20 minutes from bustling, fascinating Kilkenny.

Our host was wonderful. She was so sweet and made sure we were comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay with very generous friendly people who took on board a late booking for our horse!

Nellie was so warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.

What a beautiful old farm home near Inistioge and Thomastown. Nellie was the most gracious of hosts and we were very comfortable in our room. Thank you!!

Beautiful out of the way spot with a farm attached. Very clean and comfortable with a great breakfast. Easy trip into Kilkenny.

We had a lovely stay in Grove Farm B&B. The landlady was very warm and welcoming and made us feel very at home. The room was clean, comfy and perfect for our needs. When we arrived she showed us to our room and offered us a tea or coffee which we drank in the sunny conservatory, relaxing after a busy day before heading out again.

Nellie was very sweet and accommodating- even with our very late arrival. Beautiful countryside and property.

Fabulous place to stay

We were greeted by the lady of the house with a very warm welcome, our stay was very comfortable and she and her husband made us feel totally at home. A very warm and homely feeling and when we return we will definitely head direct to Grove Farm hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights. If you like rural this is a lovely place to stay - yet within easy distance of Inistioge and Thomas Town. Nellie is wonderful - she makes you feel so welcome. Cups of tea whenever you come 'home'! It's easy to meet the other guests when Nellie is there - we all sat in the conservatory in the lovely light evenings and chatted. If you don't like company that's fine too - the bedrooms are very very comfy.

This place is wonderful! Host is so lovely and friendly. Area is absolutely beautiful, so much nicer than staying in a town.

This farm (beef cattle) has been in this family for several generations. The care lovingly shows in many ways. It is remote, but just a few minutes drive into Thomastown. Personally, I enjoyed the remoteness of it coupled with the warmth of the hosts.

We arrived later than expected but were greeted with a hot cup of tea and delicious brown bread. Our room was quaint and very clean and cozy. We had a full Irish breakfast to get us started and on our way the next morning. The property itself was well kept and picturesque. Nellie our hostess was lovely.

Wonderful B&B, Nellie was a great hostess. Charming farm and great feel. Fantastic breakfast. Thank you

Lovely hosts who couldn't do enough for us. Gave us lots of ideas where to go. Would definitely return if we are in Ireland again.

Good bed,. great breakfast and a magnificent view. Nellie is kind and thoughtful and made us very welcome on our arrival, a great hostess. Thank you Nellie.

Greeted warmly by Nellie and offered a cup of tea! After settling in we sat in the sun room and enjoyed a beautiful view that was just breathtaking.

Nice place but a little far from town. Very clean and friendly couple. The breakfast was very good. Room is small and bathroom is smalll

Bit hard to find, very quiet country location with great views, welcoming host. Room small and outdated, very, very small bathroom with no toiletries other than soap, no tea facilities in room, but a cup was made on returning to the b & b. Breakfast was basic.

Very welcoming and extremely warm, helpful hosts. I was allowed to check in long before check-in time. I was very kindly given a lift by their son to Mount Juliet where I was going to a wedding. The place is clean and the beds are v comfortable. Typical Irish rural house decor. V pleasant hot and cold breakfast available. Not a criticism of the B&B, but if you are staying there to attend an event in Mount Juliet, be aware that it is too far to walk and taxis are exceptionally scarce (only one taxi serves Mount Juliet and there aren't others available) so it is difficult to get back to unless you are driving yourself.

One of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have ever stayed at, wonderful friendly people

Lovely place out of chaotic Killarney. Very clean, modern facility. Great breakfast, helpful and pleasant owners.

Wonderful and welcoming proprietor with lovely property! We loved our stay.. beware, the carpets roll up pretty early out there, so grab dinner before you check in. Wifi didn't seem to work very well (i.e. at all), perhaps it was due to the iffy weather we experienced and the countryside location.

This place probably had the best view of anything we have stayed in; although it seemed very far out of town on our initial drive in, it's location turned out to be ideal---GPS is really needed though. Lovely hostess.

It was okay! It appeared clean but bathroom floor felt like you may fall through. No heat on at night but she did have a heated blanket on the bed (thank goodness) or I wouldn't have made it and would have left. Good breakfast but it was served at 8:30am and when I asked for later she did not seem impressed. So we got up and we're gone by 9am. Glad we were not there more than one night.

I had a very nice time at this B&B. The hostess was warm and welcoming and the scenery was gorgeous. I was greeted with a fresh slice of rhubarb pie and a pot of tea in the conservatory where I was able to relax and enjoy the view. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the full breakfast was tasty. I stayed here towards the end of my trip when I was feeling a bit worn out from going full force each day. This B&B was the perfect spot to relax and be refreshed for the rest of my vacation.
