The room was large and comfortable, great view, they had thought of everything including a coat rack which I find is missed in most accommodation in south NZ as you are regularly wearing a jacket

Breakfast was a little disappointing but it was complimentary

Wonderful property just out of town. Late check in was so easy and communication top notch. Very comfortable bed and huge room. The breakfast was to die for.

This property should be listed as 5 star we could not fault it, breakfast was included and was great. The property manager was so nice and helpful . The open fire made this fabulous units comfortable and warm

Location and size of room

We loved our stay at the oasis. The apartment is very spacious, clean and with a beautiful view of the green surrounding. The host Angela gave us such a detailed overview of the area and helped with all asks. The breakfast is included in the booking and plentiful.

Breakfast was great. Lovely dining room & staff member quietly replenishing when needed. Staff so welcoming & obliging with any help.

Lounge chairs shape not quite right for us.

Fizemos um late checkin, a recepção já estava fechada mas nosso quarto estava disponível. O quarto era grande com lareira e tinha aquecimento também no banheiro. A vista do quarto era linda pois ficamos voltados para gramado atrás do hotel. A cama super confortável.

O café da manhã poderia ser melhorado. O resto estava tudo ótimo.

This room was the perfect, private little suite; comfortable with nice views. Breakfast was mediocre; a fancy coffee machine, yogurt with granolas, fruit, sliced meats, and toast.

Beste van 2 werelden. Helemaal buiten met een mooie tuin. En toch maar een paar minuten van Franz Josef. Fantastisch uitzicht op omliggende bergketens. De open haard is super als er eens een kille dag is! Plezierige ontvangst.

Distance to town but not too far

Location excellent. Rooms are extremely spacious. So clean and inviting. The staff were wonderful. This was the best accommodation of our stay

Oasis Motel was ideally situated just outside Franz Josef village. Greeted by friendly receptionist and room was immaculately presented. Motel was in lovely grounds, just of main highway, but not noisy. Room was very comfortable and the continental breakfast was sufficient. Great stopping point for our visit.

It’s clean like new with many extra accommodations - with everything you need. The environment is beautiful and quiet, only 4 minutes away from the town. The owner Angela is very personal and considerate.

Angela was a wonderful host. Super helpful and attentive. Allowed us to check in early after some trouble with our morning. The rooms are PERFECT, so clean, cosy, comfortable and beautiful. The fire just makes it that extra bit special. Bonus that breakfast is included which was also delicious. Can’t believe how cheap it was for the service provided and the room!!!! Also has laundry ✨

The room was so large and spacious and very comfortable. We looked out on a beautiful rural vista with a duck pond and fields full of sheep. The bathroom was very large and had a spa bath as well as shower. The staff were all so lovely and very welcoming. The continental breakfast was very satisfying. The premises also had a laundry for guests which is always a winner. We loved being about 5 minutes drive out of town. It was much quieter and peaceful here, but also close enough to drive in for dinner with lots of nice restaurants and cafes available.

Beautiful room and property. Very comfortable bed and good spacious bathroom. Good continental breakfast available in the dining room.

There was little privacy. Each room has glass doors and windows opening directly to passing traffic so curtains had to be drawn at all times.

Beautiful property, very large clean room with a fireplace and comfortable chairs. Small dining area. Nice View to large garden area and mountains. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and free parking.

The bathroom, while large could be a little better equipped. Heater was a bit noisy.

Gorgeous views Free breakfast which we hadn’t expected

Although the motel is slightly outside of town, we didn't mind the 5min drive. Even without a car, there are some restaurants which will arrange pickup from the motel so this shouldn't be a big issue. There are many good restaurants in town which mostly do not take reservations, so just arrive early and have a drink before enjoying a good meal. The staff at the motel from check-in, housekeeping and check-out were extremely friendly which is important after driving across South Island for a month. Although the motel provided breakfast until 9:00am, we definitely did not wake up that early for it which is a shame. We would definitely recommend this motel!

Wish the breakfast hours could be extended as 8-9am is quite limited (and too early).....

The rooms were like new beautifully decorated. Great quality mattress and pillows. Complimentary breakfast was a bonus although very basic. A little out of town 5 or 6 mins so a car is essential. Staff very friendly especially Angela. Definitely recommended.

The location was great. Close enough to the town to be convenient but far away enough to be secluded from any noise.

Hotel was lovely, very comfortable with lovely views and a good breakfast. Owners Angela and her husband were so helpful when we had car problems, couldn't do enough to help us get back on the road which we really appreciated.

The breakfast was very basic and disappointing. A relatively small upgrade would have made our stay even more enjoyable. The coffee from the machine was terrible. Avoid! The ‘fruit’ came out of a tin. The bread was of the cheap, sliced variety. The yoghurt was sweetened rather than natural. Not great.

It’s situated in very pleasant surroundings and is all on ground level. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was terrific. The staff were excellent!

It is a beautiful retreat a short distance from town. It is quiet and well maintained and managed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Room was large and beautifully furnished. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and catered for gluten free requirements. The property is situated in a quiet area with beautiful surroundings five minutes from town. Staff were lovely.

The lady on duty (Angela I think) was just fantastic. She had so many duties to perform but did them all seamlessly and was eager to help in any way she could.
