Hotel Carlton Mill

We had a rear property which was very quite. The location was in easy walking distance to Restaurants, Hagley park and hospital . Very spacious and clean. It was convenient to have car parking which some motels in chch don’t have.

Location

The manager was wonderful. Seeing that I was traveling alone with a toddler, she helped me carry my luggage upstairs. She even allowed us a late checkout while knowing our situation, though we ended up leaving on time.

The bed was too saggy and the facilities were a bit dated.

Great location. Tidy, warm room. Friendly staff.

Lovely clean property, great location

The bed we had in room 13 sloped down on the side and was very uncomfortable

A quiet location

Carlton Pub food on the corner - should have gone to Strawberry Fare on site for our dinner

Very average for the price !

The decor needs dragging out of the nineties to 2026 !

Location

Wasn’t quite like the photos on the website

Staff and property were very good

I liked it all

Getting pretty dated. Needs a refresh

Location

Room down a hall

Estancia estupenda; he repetido 2 veces.

Service was awesome

nothing as i was only there for a few days.

Great location, good off street parking, clean comfortable rooms- very friendly staff- the perfect location- good value for money

Value for money Heater was going when I got to my room so was nice and warm thanks Very easy parking and convenient location

Got a bit lost finding my room

The location was great

The room with 2 beds didn’t have curtains where the windows come to a point, so first thing in the morning the sun is beaming in the window and wakes you up. The road noise is also pretty loud

Excellent location, stunning amenities esp bathroom

Comfortable stay , handy location

Convience to everything in town.

Bed was rather hard. Hot water was dangerously hot (Hubby a plumber) And very very noisey at 5am when rubbish truck emptying the big bins. Don't book rm7.

It had nice clean facilities. The staff were friendly got an early check in which was great. The location was good to walk to the city centre

Thank you we will definitely be back everything was great

Great location

Nothing to say

Very clean room with a comfortable bed. I liked the area of the cooking facilities as you could close them off from the rest of the room.

Room was a bit too dark and the lighting was not the strongest.

Adf some little moisturising cream bottles.

Location and facilities, easy to book.

Room information notes that rooms will.be serviced from midday however after wanting to sleep in till 1130am was awoken with Room Service knocking to service the room. Also room information noted we could hang a 'Do not disturb sign' on the door if we didnt want room servicing but there was no signage......

Friendly Reception Service - including booking early morning taxi to Airport Location, including shops & Hotel next door

Clean tidy very close to pub for busy rugby weekend

Nothing

Location was great

Restaurant fan running in the Ming and at night

Friendly staff, clean facilities and easy arrangements

My stay was all around excellent. I loved the location, the room, the staff. Everything was spot on. I was impressed as a first time stay.

I liked everything so I don't have anything to report from this.

Great location, very quiet.

Bathroom could do with a tidy up. Disappointed restaurant wasn’t open early for breakfast. Fridge in room was very noisey. Tv remote didn’t wii on to well.

Location

Staff were awesome, location easy for good restaurants and park.

It was all fine. I could nit pick about details but it was all OK.

Good

Good

Over and above commadating me while staying with my brother at hospital. They were able to allow me to book day by day. Changed my room to ground floor tucked around the corner so I could park right outside door and very quiet. This is my 2nd stay here and have also booked for a overnight in May. So easy and lovely to deal with.

Nothing

Upgraded to a larger room was great - room for our luggage. Comfortable bed.

Water in shower either dangerously hot or too cold - same in kitchenette sink. Room only serviced once.

Good location and helpful staff

A bit cramped

Great location, clean facilities

The room didn’t look like the pictures ,from booking site ,the kitchen was just ok , bed room was dusty round skirting boards and corners of the room ,but we were only there one night to catch a flight ,

No breakfast available as no restaurant, but it actually says on site restaurant, strawberry fields is round the corner but has nothing to do with ,accommodation and they don’t do breakfast

Bardzo komfortowy apartament z małą łazienką, wyposażony w aneks kuchenny z lodówką, kuchenką, zlewem i czajnikiem. W sam raz na 1-2 nocy. Tuż obok miejsce do zaparkowania samochodu. Wygodna rejestracja i zwrot kluczy.

Lovely clean cosy room

Having strawberry fare attached was the only reason I booked here! Great being so close to the park and town too.

Rooms are old but prefecture adequate, however as they are quite old the shower leaked all over the floor and the annoying people coming in late at night were rude and loud and the walls are paper thin. More like a motel than motel, don't expect any kind of luxury.

Room was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Nice big shower in the bathroom. Excellent location for access to public transport. There is a restaurant on site (although we didn't use it).

Although it was a four-person suite (two queen beds) the bathroom was accessible from the bedroom only, so anyone sleeping in the lounge area would have to go through the bedroom to reach it. This could be awkward if it was two couples.

Great location, neat and comfortable

No lift might be an issue for non-ambulant people

Really pleased with the space,, the bathroom , only complaint was the actual bed. I feel a replacement is due. also very clean .

The location was good, bed comfy and unit clean.

We needed two separate sleeping areas, but for those sleeping out in the living area they had to enter the bedroom to use the bathroom facilities which was not perfect during the night. Thought the price was high enough for the awkward layout.

Lovely ,helpful & friendly staff. Laundry on site which we needed. Location is great for city, tram and botanic gardens. Restaurant on site which has delicious meals and desserts. Parking available.

Everything was good for us.

It's a nice place close to restaurants and a big park. Check-in was very fast and easy. They prepared everything; they just checked my name and reservation, then gave me the key.

Our room is large, but I think it’s not well designed. There are too many doors in the living room and kitchen, so the space is not well used. If they could upgrade it, it could be an unforgettable hotel.

Very comfortable, great location, friendly helpful staff and delicious restaurant onsite.

Habitaciones agradebles con cocineta equipada

No repusieron los alimentos todos los dias. TV local, sin acceso a internet

Great size rooms
