We found this among the most expensive places we stayed at in NZ and for the price point I would have expected a dishwasher. Some furnishings need updating too.

Reviewed Mar 3, 2026Freundliche Gastgeber. Tolle Lage direkt am Strand (obwohl zu Fuss etwas weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt). Gut ausgestattes und sauberes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Strand und das Meer.
Die Küche roch unangenehm komisch.

Reviewed Jan 17, 2026La playa de enfrente te deja sin palabras, no tuvimos ni ganas de movernos del hotel. Fue francamente una sorpresa muy positiva, la ubicación del hotel un poco resguardado del pueblo se agradece por la paz que se vive.
Nuestra habitación daba a la calle, lo sabíamos, no nos molestó, pero sería lo único negativo para mencionar, porque el resto estaba todo de 10.

Reviewed Feb 26, 2025Everybody was helpful and friendly. The accommodation was comfortable, but the location was outstanding. We arrived very late and I woke early the following morning, stepped out onto the balcony and witnessed a glorious sunrise. I walked into town, which was about a forty minute trip. The seafront and promenade is beautiful. The walk back along the beach, and the walk to the other end of the bay gave different but equally stunning vistas. Sitting on the sunbeds,right on the front edge of the lawn, was like heaven on earth. We could have stayed forever.

Reviewed Oct 9, 2024The cleanliness here is the highest among all the hotels I’ve stayed at—note: the very best, without exception. Every detail, from the nooks and crannies to each piece of cutlery, plate, and even glassware, is spotless, without a single fingerprint. The hotel’s front may be unremarkable, but the back garden opens up to a stunning beach with a breathtaking ocean view. They offer single kayaks and life vests. We love it here and highly recommend it!
