Beautiful villas with private pools. A delicious breakfast is delivered to the villa at a scheduled time, and everything is thoroughly cleaned afterwards. It is very clean. If you have any questions, simply speak to the host or the staff, and things are sorted out immediately. We had a fantastic stay once again. See you next time! 😁🙏

I've been coming to Bali for over 25 years and when possible, I travel here twice a year. I’ve stayed in properties costing $30 a night to properties costing $750 a night and everything in between. This trip I'm staying in the Ellora Villas Sanur which is located off Jl Tamblingan opposite Icon. The location is great, but then again, anything along JL Tamblingan is good. There are many places to eat and to get a massage, and if you want to do some western style shopping, the Icon is right across the road. For me the Icon is out of place here in Sanur, and doesn't sit well or in harmony with the existing shops and businesses. Think Westfield. It's ok in Australia, but sticks out like a sore thumb here in Bali. I didn't come to Bali to shop in a Westfield type shopping centre, but if you did, there's one here for you. As you walk through the double wooden doors to your villa, you'll find it’s generously proportioned and well appointed with a 210 litre fridge in the semi indoor/outdoor area, a three burner gas cooktop should you wish to do your own cooking, a sink, a pantry with tea, coffee and sugar, plates, crockery, glasses and cutlery, kettle, toaster, fry pan and a microwave. There's a small table with a Bluetooth (with USB) hifi system next to the chilled water dispenser which also dispenses hot water. A four piece dining table is positioned next to the kitchen, and as you walk through into the main residence, there's an L- shaped couch and coffee table. The kitchen and semi outdoor lounge are opposite a good sized pool which gets the morning and early afternoon sunshine in September. There is also a day bed, two sun lounges and a second toilet (not common in a villa this size) and a couple of umbrellas if you're visiting in the rainy months. As you walk further into your villa you’ll get to a glass sliding door. This is your bedroom/main bathroom and storage area. It's...

Ellora was lovely. The room is a decent size but the focus is on outdoor living. The room had a full kitchen, and outdoor (under cover) eating area and an awesome private pool. I only stayed one night but will stay longer next time

The property is close to the Icon, which is good... but you have to walk down a dark alley to get to it. At night time it was a bit creepy coming back to the room

The villa was beautiful, we only booked one night. Very spacious, the pool was great. Fruit basket on arrival, close to the main road, laundry was available up the road.

The water pressure in the shower was terrible, the big shower head didn't work properly and the hand held shower wasn't great either.

The property was so spacious and private and secluded, even though it was only about 100m away from a busy road. Opposite the Bali Icon and access to beaches. Breakfast was cooked for you on premises by the lovely staff, an absolute treat and different. Food delicious.

The staff was as pleasand and helpful as you would expect from Balinese people. Every interaction was a pleasure. The villa is large, larger than expected and the private pool is the largest we've ever seen - and we do have a lot of experience in this area. Our pool was perfectly private but not hemmed in by ver high walls, allowing the sun more access to the pool so it was comfy warm - not often experienced in Sanur private villla pools which tend to be more sheltered from the sun and cooler.

Hard to say we did not like something, but you have to be prepared that although the facilities function just fine, they are aged. Another point to make is that breakfast is cooked by the pool in your villa - there is a small kithen. Two people come and cook at an agreed time. The catch is that when you arrive late in the day ( we arrived close to 11 pm), you will not have much choice about your breakfast time. Ours was 7.30 or 10. The following days were fine, because as soon as we settled for the first breakfast at 10 am, we booked our following two breakfasts for the time of our choosing.

Staff were friendly and responded promptly to any queries or problems.

The mattress was way past its use-by date! My wife has back problems which were exacerbated by the mattress; I DON'T usually have back problems but did, every morning I woke up there. Breakfast staff were great but food choice very limited. We were there for 13 nights with virtually no variation to the "menu". Apart from 1 breakfast (the day after I raised it with a staff member) strawberry jam was the only optional spread to have on toast!

The whole property was gorgeous. It was clean, quiet and the staff were so friendly. The included breakfast each morning, was delicious and so fresh. The property is so close to everything - Icon Bali is across the road, and if you walk through it, the beach is right there! Perfect! I will definitely be staying again when I travel to Bali in future!

Ellora Villa was perfect for us. The staff were really beautiful. The villa was cleaned daily. Perfect location, walking distance to the beach, shops, eating. Very quiet villa, yet you can walk straight out to Icon Bali. Great place.

The villa is stunning but getting a bit tired. Some things are starting to need repair or replacing. Upgrade the linens, the seating etc and the place would be even more fabulous

Wat een heerlijke plek! Hier kun je wonen! Het zijn heerlijke villa’s met alles erop en eraan. Het is echt mooi gedaan. Je ziet dat het wat ouder is maar het is echt heel erg prachtig en kwaliteit. Na 4 weken de mooiste resorts kwamen wij hier voor de laatste nacht. Ik heb mijn ogen uitgekeken naar de details en het thuis gevoel. Ik zou hier zo kunnen wonen! Locatie in Sanur is ook echt goed. Alles op loopafstand.

Accomodatie is super. Sanur moet je van houden.

Quiet location but close to everything

Property was great but the stone bath was useless. Reason being that the hot water was slow and it takes a long time to heat the stone in the bath if you get what I’m saying

The check-in process was easy. The staffing levels were excellent, and their attention to detail was very good. Breakfast in our villa cooked each morning at a time e that suited us was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious also. We enjoyed being so close to Icon mall and easy access to beach activities, walking track, and nice restaurants, but not the ones in the Icon mall, too overpriced 🙄🤷‍♀️

We didn't appreciate that the pool cleaners arrived in the afternoon as we'd just arrived back from outing on one of our days there. They did say was it okay to clean the pool, but then added chemicals, and we could not swim for an hour, which we had planned to do when we came back. Also, our rowdy neighbours' next villa ( pretty sure we're also Australian) several afternoons, leading into evening's were boisterous and drinking. The villas are pretty good, locking out excessive noise, thankfully 🤷‍♀️🙄🤣

The villa is really well situated, down a laneway directly opposite the new Icon shopping centre. It’s close to bars and restaurants, but also secluded. The staff were very friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. The villa is comfortable and has everything you need to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We will certainly stay there again.

There wasn’t a lot not to like. Some of the amenities in the bathroom were a little basic. But that was a very minor thing in the grand scheme of things.

If I had to complain, it would be about the pillows. Would definitely bring my own next time... but otherwise couldn't fault.

The villa was incredible. So peaceful and tranquil. The staff were amazing and we felt so special having breakfast cooked for us and served to us in our villa.

The location was excellent. Directly across the road from Icon shopping mall. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a couple of things go wrong, loss of hot water and the water fountain stopped working. Both issues were attended to with 5 minutes of us notifying them of the problem. Pool was wonderful. Just the right temperature. Extremely comfortable villa to spend time in.

Mattress is a bit hard and would benefit from a mattress topper.

The location of Ellora Villa was great in central Sanur and across the road to Icon Shopping centre, and with excellent access to the beach front. The Villa was very relaxing especially the pool , and the breakfasts were delicious being prepared and cooked in Villa.

The pillows were a bit uncomfortable.

The staff were wonderful very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, the room was so big,and the private pool was amazing

The Tv was a little to small for the room we only watched a movie one night as we were tired so it could have been bigger given the size of the room.

Piscine au soleil uniquement quelques heures à cause des murs et végétations. Petit déjeuné très moyen ... Peu de choix et pas spécialement bon. La climatisation fonctionne beaucoup trop fort même sur le niveau minimum. Problème avec le téléphone qui sonne régulièrement (même en pleine nuit) sans personne au bout du fil.

Quite location but close to shops and walking distance from broad walk and beach. Icon shopping centre is just down the alleyway.

A few small maintenance and upkeep issues but could be easily fixed. Such as tap in bathroom leaking, tap in bathroom did not turn on and power point in bathroom not working.

The location is excellent, the room was large and comfortable and the pool and outdoor facilities were great. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and communication via the app was first class.

Some of the bed linen had stains on them which wa s little off putting.

Ontbijt was heerlijk. Personeel bakte eieren en toast tijdens het tafeldekken. Borden werden netjes opgemaakt. En de pannenkoeken werden gemaakt bij je villa.

Badkamer gedeelte was oud en dient gerenoveerd te worden. Toilet rook ook niet fris

The aircon is in the wrong place you can’t feel it in the lounge area as it’s behind a wall, We also had to turn it off during the night as it was VERY noisy. Villa definitely needs a bit of maintenance work done and update mattress.

Great Location and great size villa and soon felt right at home . Massive size rooms and the two toilets were a real bonus . Look forward to returning. Staff were very friendly.

OUTSTANDING villa with kind, caring service. We really enjoyed the location and its proximity to beach/icon/shops. We cannot wait to stay again!

Unfortunately there was some construction going on during the day which made the noise quite loud. But this is not the fault of the villa.

Excellent location, down a short lane from all the action but nice and quiet at night. The villa was huge and very well equipped. Staff organised massages in our villa at a very reasonable rate.

We've stayed at Ellora a number of times during our visits to Bali. The Villa itself is very generous in size and space. The beds have been very hard in the past but they've added mattress topper (in our Villa) which was very helpful as we now prefer softer beds. The pool is a good size too! It's really quiet there which isn't always the case in some other villas in the area. The location is excellent. Close to many restaurants, cafes and money changers. You're also very close to Bali Icon mall which may or may not appeal to you.

The standards and cleanliness have dropped compared to previous visits. The bed linen is looking like it's seen better days, furniture (inside and out) is starting to look tired, worn and in need of a really good clean to remove the stains from previous guests over the years. They used to provide mozzie plug ins and bug stray previously but that doesn't seem to be the case now. Previous years they would turn down your room and turn the lights on etc. that doesn't happen anymore either. The soap/shampoo and conditioner are of a very poor standard. The aircon is probably too small for the size of the unit so it does struggle to cool your room through the day but you do have your own pool to help you cool down. It's also fine at night once the sun goes down and you have the benefit of a fan above your bed. The other issue with a under powered aircon unit is that your clothes start to get a little damp (it's the tropics after all). The iron (no board) was ancient and poor quality Lighting in the villa is poor and it can be a bit tricky to read your book in bed but this is the case in a lot of the accommodation in Bali. A couple of higher watt bulbs in the bedside lamps would fix this. The pool wasn't clean when we arrived. It looked like the filter hadn't been running so maybe the villa had been empty for a period of time. It was running during our stay in the villa and took about 2 days for the pool to look clear and clean. Also the pool water wasn't at the required water level so the filter was struggling to get enough water to it to work properly. They topped it up on our 3rd day and helped the pool stay clean and clear. These are the things that should have all been sorted before our arrival and that's the difference between a well run property and a property that has let their standards drop. This happens a lot in Bali so we're kind of used it now although it's no less disappointing.

The villa had all of the facilities we like... sparkling pool, full size fridge, drinking water, great air con in the bedroom. The staff are friendly and very helpful... and the villa is impeccably clean. Location is in a quiet lane about 200m from the main street and directly across from Icon Mall. Very nice welcome by all the staff, the location is great right in the centre. The villa is spacious,, has a good bed and it is very luxurious to have your own pool! We opted out for the breakfast as all restaurant etc are at walking distance. The complementary fruitbasket was great too, thank you very much!

Close to everything, Bali Icon across the road. Lovely shops nearby. Close to the beach.

Slippery tiles on outside kitchen/lounge area - very dangerous when wet.

Secluded and quiet. Clean. Easy stroll to the beach for markets, drinks and food. Friendly staff.

The size of the villa is huge. Outdoor kitchen /living area is beautiful. If you are into shopping Icon Bali (shopping mall) is across the road. Night markets also nearby.

Poor lighting - unsuitable to read in bed. There are bedside lamps but not suitable for reading.

Location is excellent down a small lane opposite icon shopping centre and short walk to beach. Villas are a good size, clean, great pool, with good facilities.

Some small suggestions- plug for kitchen sink, larger coffee cups, lights for bathroom and make up area could be brighter as hard to do hair and makeup in dim light. Overall really good just small things.

This is our fourth time staying at Ellora Villa and we have already booked our next visit. The villas are beautiful, the staff are lovely and so helpful and it’s in a great spot in the heart of Sanur while being quiet.
