The Westhaven Motel

Room was very clean and good location for small town nearby. We never saw any staff but there was a note with our room number on it and key inside room.

Centrally located hotel which is easily accessible to the main attractions of the town. The bed is really comfortable, the tv is working well, and the bathroom is highly functional. Overall, I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Underfloor heating in my unit wasn't working so could be cold with the only heating being a panel wall mounted heater.

Stayed at Westheaven Motel and couldn’t ask for better. The room was clean, super comfortable, and incredibly quiet. Great value for money. Highly recommend if you’re passing through.

Late check-in well-organized, spacious room, kitchen well-equipped, good starting point to explore the nature trails surrounding Fox Glacier.

Our one night stay was comfortable, warm, underfloor heating in the bathroom was welcomed.

The motel was in a good location in Fox Glacier and easy to find. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay.

The kitchen was very small. The television was frustrating as we could not seem to access free to air TV and could only access apps that you had to have an account for. Someone else was still signed in on the TV.

Beds were comfy and location was brilliant. Perfect for one night.

The bed was very uncomfortable, I’d say quite old and probably well overdue to be updated. Window was filthy on the outside so had to keep blind down.

Tot onze grote verrassing hadden wij een tuin aan de achterzijde van ons verblijf, super fijn. Het verblijf is zeer ruim.

Shower over bath with no grab rail. We’re elderly. The shower also had a very weak pressure. Some more cleaning necessary around baseboards, etc

Ingen aircondition i rummet. Badrumsfönstret var öppet när vi checkade in. Sandflugor i rummet . Extra handduk i ett skåp var smutsig. Wifi var svagt. Tv box var upptejpad med vanlig hushållstejp på platt tv och den ramlade ner när vi ställde en väska under skrivbordet.

Lounge seat broken, soap/shampoo/conditioners in pump bottles on sink bench but nowhere to put them when in shower except on floor then can't pump them! Light from outside comes through curtains so room lit up while trying to sleep. No tea towel for dishes. No where for bathroom towels IN the bathroom to hang after use.

You can't go wrong with the location in a tiny town like Fox Glacier. The room was adequate and the bed was comfortable.

The shower curtain had pink mold on the bottom. When I turned on the shower water, bits of black were coming out of the shower head. The rowels were worn and tattered. The electric tea pot was scorched on the bottom releasing particles into the hot water.

Great location for exploring the glacier area

A bit of a mixed experience. The only staff we met were some Chinese guys, who hardly spoke English. We had to ask several times to get our room cleaned, and even so the cleaning standard was below average (I don't think anyone has cleaned behind the toilet since it was installed!!). The kitchen is very small in the room.

Spacious room, very clean. Big bathroom with a bath! Great to relax after a long walk or drive! Good pub meals close by.

Beetje een vreemd motel. De receptie was nog niet af en het personeel leek verbaasd dat we er waren (ruim binnen de inchecktijd). De badkamer was echt verouderd met afbladderende verf. Overal zaten vlekken en de hele vibe was gewoon groezelig. Snap niet hoe dit zo’n hoge rating heeft.

Good wifi, laundry onsite for a small fee. We based ourselves here for a few days to fly over the glaciers.

We loved the location of the motel. It was very close to bars. Our room had been renovated.
