Nothing couldn’t get there

The staff knew the road was closed but didn’t tell us, they have refused to repay my money, the property is dreadful, they were contacted twice and both times didn’t tell us that the road from Queenstown was closed due to a land slide and if you wanted to go via Christchurch it would have taken around 11 hours to Mt Cook only to find that road closed as well.

Nice big studio with large bathroom and spa bath. There was room for a lounge and dining area plus my luggage in the studio, and it still didn't feel cramped. Plenty of parking space and a 5 minute walk to town. Kitchenette had everything I needed. Good heater and plenty of bedding supplies. My bed was really comfy. Lovely to soak in the bath on a winters night!

Poor communication no one stayed on site so you couldn’t get help the workers come some times they work two properties so if you got locked out of your room no one is there to help very poor the door lock was electrical so some times didn’t open you were locked out happened to another customer

Cosy, nice bed, good shower, Handy to a delicious restaurant, quiet. Host was very helpful with heater issues that were actually a power outage.

Not the motels fault, there was a power outage further up the coast so didn't come on until 1.30am so went to bed at 7 to keep warm.

Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen. Der Teppich ist nicht wirklich toll. Was als Schrank angepriesen wird ist ein Elektroverteiler für den Heizkörper und den Fernseher. grad mal 1 Kleiderbügel. Die Küche ist zwar ok, leider war erst kein Toaster (wurde aber nach Nachfrage umgehend nachgereicht) dafür gab es aber einen Reiskocher? auch der BBQ-Grill war nicht auffindbar.

Close to amenities. Clean and basic, ideal for a short stay on the way up the coast. Chilly but electric blankets on the beds and portable heaters. Close to Betsey Jane Eatery where we had an outstanding meal.

Viel Privatsphäre, große Zimmer, gut ausgestattete Küche und wunderschönes Bad. Eigentlich alles was man braucht.

The description was misleading. Though the rain kept us from seeing any views, but the windows were not pointing in the right direction to have see the mountains and the room had "Mountain view" in its description.

Location superb. Just a few minutes drive to view Fox Glacier.

The location is a short walk to the main street. There is a guest laundry, and it is cheap to use.

No daily room service. Fresh towels? Go ask at reception. They gave us the disabled access room - the bathroom flooded and stayed that way due to no floor runoff incline. However, I'd still stay there again as the positives outweigh the negatives.

The bed after requesting a firmer one.

Room was spacious and cleverly planned and decorated. Loved the spa tub. Pleasant, clean laundry room. Attractive grounds. Enjoyed being away from the Franz Josef crowds.

Emplacement a fox glacier idéal pour faire Franz Joseph ou Fox Glacier. Petit village sympa.

Manque d'équipements (pour cuisiner) pour l'appartement. Il doit faire un peu frais en hiver.

We stoped for one night, it was good price. Clean and we had all things which we need and good warm shower.

I think it's better don’t point the view from the room, because you can't see it from your windows.

Noisy neighbours in next room, unpacking from 11pm to 1.30am, then packing again from 6am to 7.30am.

Good location for Fox Glacier, with short stroll into town. Well equipped kitchenette although need to check supplies as dishwashing liquid was empty- I hope previous people washed up properly- we couldn’t.

Very unusual not having any human contact to check in or out, but instructions were clear and went smoothly. Very expensive for what is basic accomodation.

1980s standards at 2026 prices. Peeling wallpaper in kitchenette. No heat pump. No heating and single glazing in bathroom. Not very clean.

Close to town. Good size king bed. Not expensive.

Did not like the electronic lock. A little run down.

Goo location. Walkable to the town cafes and restaurants. Room was tidy. Had everything you needed for a short stay. Heaters and electric blankets were appreciated.

No one on site to check you in. You are sent a door code via email. Not an issue just a little different.

Locks on door were difficult to use a key would have been much easier. Accommodation expensive for what it offered compared to others we have used.

Easy checkin and peaceful location close enough to town but not on top of all hotels.

Kitchen is minimally fitted out and needs a few overhead cupboards. Also for a two bedroom there needs to be another lounge chair as a two seater couch isn’t enough for 4 people to watch tv.

We liked that we were within walking distance of a restaurant.

We never met anyone at this place. There facilities were enough to get by with but very basic.

Kitchen had issues with hotplate stove, no oven, fridge poor operation.

It was clean-ish but soulless. Great having a park right at the door

The place needs an overall tidy up. Main doors at either would not shut due to being offline/kitchen cupboard doors falling off edges and unable to be closed. Couldn’t get TV set to operate and staff could not assist either Shower cubicle in the Booking.com ad shows a showerhead with a flexible hose whereas in our unit it was not the case with a flappy plastic curtain that hugged your body as the water was turned on. Not pleasant and certainly not 4 Star rating as advertised

Certainly not 4 star and the second most expensive accommodation over a 12 day road trip Spartan and soulless - doors askew and unable to close properly. Kitchen cupboard doors unable to close likewise. No outlook from the room. Tv not working properly

Comfortable stay, good value, friendly staff

Very pleasant and comfortable place to stay even more when you want to stay remote and quiet. It’s far from most things except the beautiful nature, hikes, mountains and a hot spring. All is taken care of for a comfortable stay, very good bed, well equipped kitchen, seats and a bar to sit on the enjoy the beautiful views and cows from the farm. The owners are show care and you feel welcomed. Many hiking options nearby. If we would have known the place, we would have stayed an extra night just to enjoy the area and the apartment more.
