Thank you for this experience
Elaf is very close to Haram just 3-4 mins walk to baab Abdul Azeez (door no 1 Abdul azeez door) The hotel is a nice and clean hotel and was amazing for the price and location Food as usual good , and courtesies staff
Excellent service
Staff very uncooperative and don’t want to help. Wold not recommend any one else
Good service and awesome management 👍
The staff don’t understand English, it’s ok but they have to let us know so we can use translation or ask someone to translate. They just shake the head ok and ok . That’s not acceptable
amazing customer service
Best to stay
Good: location, very close to haram, just behind the clock tower Bad: ac in room wasnt working. Nobidy came to check after I complained. Room smelled like smoke Cheapest room doesnt get natural light as the window faces an internal dark space
I stayed here while I was in Makkah performing Ummrah. All the staff were very kind and respectful. The haram is literally a 5 minute walk, and anything you want to eat and drink is a 5 minute walk in any direction. You can hear the adhan from the Haram at the hotel.
Excellent
Bed is very hard to sleep on, overused bathroom.
Upon arriving our room was not ready when promised for check in..We waited over 1 hour in the lobby area. Room service cleaned my room one time in the 5 days I was there. We kept calling for towels, toilet paper, and other items. Front desk was not very friendly either. I give this place a very poor rating
The hotel is about 8 minutes walk from Harem close to Safwa mall The only thing is the bathroom needs refurbishment as it's a bit old and smelly but rooms are clean
There toilets was very bad and smell too much it was very difficult to stay in the room so every time we was calling to clean but they put only parfum after few the smell coming again it was horrible
One of THE worst stay experiences I’ve had. I booked a 5night stay here for my Umrah trip and I don’t wish the experience the hotel provides on anyone. The rooms are run down, towels torn (yes they had holes in them), the bathroom smelled of open sewage, and on the first night, the bathroom from the next door overflowed into our room. Our room was flooded and when I asked what happened, the helper staff wanted us to hush because the room next door was occupied by a Saudi family. When I went to the front desk to discuss, there was a short, fat chick who literally rolled her eyes at me. They treat Saudi guests different than other immigrant guests; you can feel the racism in the way they address your queries v/s queries from Saudis. There is no response from room service, even after you place multiple requests for extra towels, and bottles of water (I counted 4 hours, and still no service). The hotel manager didn’t seem to care much either. It seemed like they somehow expected me to ok with the situation. The only good thing about this hotel, however, is the distance to the Haram. I ended up canceling the rest of my stay and shifted to the Fairmont. Elaf still ended up charging me for one day and there was no help from the hotel as we were checking out. They tried to make the refund process for the remaining nights as difficult as possible thinking that as an immigrant, I would just go along with the flow.
It could definitely be cleaner. It wasn’t very clean. Bathrooms weren’t clean. It’s need some refurbishment or refinement of carpet was really dirty with a lot of stains present. Very very stinky smell coming in the room as well.
Very friendly and nice staff, breakfast was also reasonably good
Hotel didn't give me queen room which I booked instead small twin bed room . The bathroom was awful, bad smell. After complaining they changed to family room. Had no hot water during my stay.
very good hotel excellent location 5 min walk to holy Haram very friendly and helpful staff (many thanks to Rahma customer Service and Omar Reception )
If I could give them a lower rating I would! We got to the hotel after a long flight. We were told our booking was canceled. And no rooms were available. They basically over booked and canceled our room. The staff was rude, and were literally refusing to speak to us. We stood there for over an hour trying to resolve the issue. The basically told us to get lost and find another hotel. I’ve never felt so helpless and degraded in my life. DON’T EVER BOOK AT THIS HOTEL. It may be a little cheaper in cost, and that may be and enticing factor. But they are terrible! Beware!
Overall friendly staffs. Good in breakfast was terrible.
GOOD: the hotel is very strategically located, just 5 minutes from the gate for tawaf. it is close to all the shops and restaurants. it is also very easy to get taxis here. the reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable. they also have wuduk area and ironing facilities in the room. BAD: due to the location on the main road, it was VERY noisy. the windows weren't soundproof and I was on the top floor. check in too almost an hour during peak time and there were only 2 staff available. Only 1 of the reception staff speaks English, this made it very difficult to get assistance on time. TV and furniture in the room are very old. the shower wasn't clean and had mould in the grout. was not expecting these as the price per night was quite expensive.
Your tap water was brown. No one ever answered the reception phone when i called. The bed was right in front of the AC, very bad design. The toilet leaked. I could never get room service. Your elevators never worked properly. They would miss my floor or just not work completely.
All good except problems with phone in the room was not working I have to go to the reception all time to tell for room service apart from that every thing is good i will use your services in future again Inshallah
Good hotel
Well let start the room it was good size single guest it was clean room the housekeeper guy he make sure nothing missing from towels and soap good service if you asked me the employee he take my attention he’s name Ahmed AlZahrani the receptionist he make sure he solve the problem plus satisfy too and happy I was about to cancel my reservation because of the not good view in my room #304 he was listening to my problem. He doesn’t cut me off when I’m talking to him and he promise to do his best because of that I continue the reservation because of him the way listen to your problem and promise to help you with that big smile and ask if he can help with anything he will make sure to solve it even when I’m leaving the hotel he makes sure the driver arrive and he called and let me know that I called over all (excellent customer service) to Ahmed !!! i don’t see that in some countries when I travel I recommend this hotel for my friends and family in USA
The room was very small, room key is not working well, room service is horrible and room services come when guest outside the room. As per price, the stay was not worthy. Not recommended.
Not good service
Satisfactory
Early check-in and friendly staff
Very dirty bathrooms
Everything
It's good for location besides.... was very expensive for the quality and services.
The hotel’s location is perfect. It is a 5 min walk only to AlHaram. Although the hotel has a 5 star rating, it looks like a 3 star hotel. The house keeping didn’t come to clean our room after our first night. We called the house keeping to send us fresh towels, they promised they will send someone with the towels but they never did.
Perfect accommodations, we will come back inshallah
One of unprofessional hotels I have stayed. No one knows English. Neither front desk nor the room service. How do I order food. Wifi speed was 0.8 mbps. I never knew such speed existed today Electrical sockets in room are Europe in style. Saudia has 3 pin UK style sockets so why give 2 pin Europe on style sockets. No sense at all. One night lamp switch cover was not there. Imagine if I do not see and touch I would have been electrocuted Over all a pathetic stay
Not clean in a room and employees are so mean
I stay one night
It was amazing stay and enjoyed it. Will definitely come back again and recommend it to family and friends
Nice property and staff, very accommodating and responsive with any issues
Had some problem at the check in rather than that everything was perfect
Elaf Al Masher is a good hotel and close to Haram. This was my 3rd time staying here and didn't have any problems. Not one of the best 5 star but considering the price its very good.
Amazing service. Excellent location.
The stay was average, cleaners not willing to clean rooms daily Checked in then was told after a few hours tht they gave wrong room which was very unprofessional
Good value for money, close to harem good breakfast service.
Very good
Didn't honor the Orbucks discount and had to pay in full. Wasn't even interested to look at my original reservation made thru Orbitz. Not a friendly place!
Stayed in this hotel 6 days upto 5 February, Hotel is very near to Haram. All the staff are nice & helpful, specially room service cleaner was great. The breakfast was delicious and tasty, the Sayeed Mohammed is very caring and look after you very well. Also printed my locaor from my email. Overall great plce to stay.
Amazing experience and the hotel was very clean and nice and the buffet was amazing
I would not recommend or come back to this hotel. I will arrive officially to Elaf Group to complain about this matter. 1. None of the employees speak English. 2. Incompetent check-in staff who was not able to find my name even after given booking ref, not able to converse in English, and subsequently delayed my check-in. 3. Rude and unprofessional employees. Due to not being able to speak English, they did not want to entertain my request. I called the room service numerous times asking for a spoon and plate. Since they couldn't understand me, their solution was not to pick up the phone at all whenever the calls came from my room. 4. They rated themselves as a 5-star hotel but the reality it is not even close to a 3-star. The facilities and amenities were bad and completed. 5. The room that was given to me smelled very bad. The stench smell ended keeping me up the whole night. I had enough fighting with employees who did not speak English nevertheless asked to change a room. I decided to check out early.
+ Location of the hotel is fairly close to the Haram - Staff are not friendly. Service is very poor. Room smart key often fails. Food variety is poor and limited.
All was great as the place is value for money but the washrooms and cleaning needs to be better and have a huge room for improvement. But it’s walking distance to Haram so serves the purpose right. Taxi is available always as just located on a junction.
Bad experience, small room and very small toilet.
The property is very clean . Breakfast is good . Near form Haram. Recommend
The location of this hotel is great. There are 8 lifts and we never struggled with waiting. The path leading to haram is not long and is partly shadowed. I used it to perform dhikr. I preferred this in comparison to hotels situated within malls and the distractions of shops. The breakfast was good. They now have an omelette station. We booked a double bed with 2 singles and a request for a cot bed. We got a double bedroom with a wet smelly carpet! We managed to get the room changed to a triple room. Ended up joining the beds together to allow for space. Alhamdulillah we managed. There was an ant infestation in the bathroom which was treated. The room was only cleaned once for our duration and we never got the cotbed.
Carpets are very dirty. Bathroom tiles are sticky and have fungi growth. Beds are really uncomfortable. Bedsheets are very old with bobbles on them. The breakfast was very disappointing. There was no fresh fruit only tinned fruit which is no good for diabetics. Not much choice for vegetarians. Plates and cutlery are old.
The worse property i have ever stayed at! None of the staff speak English, there are unwelcoming and give attitude as though that is what you paid for. The extension numbers from the receptionists to housekeeping, roomservice and duty managers goes unanswered all the time. The whole property smells like fermented date! No good ventilation!! The carpets are so dirty and stained no one will risk walking barefoot in the rooms let alone anywhere in the property . The toilets stink 24/7 ( more like a gutter). The whole furniture is shabby, stained and smells weird. Check out was a nightmare called all extension numbers for bell boy to no avail had to go down to the reception and look for the bell boy myself. After that i got 3 different calls to call exit the building as my check oit time was due. I will not recommend this property to anyone.
Very convenient location for visitors of Haram. We enjoyed the traditional arabian breakfast. The traffic in front of the hotel is dangerous if you have little kids.
Perfect location
It was an excellent trip.
Reception member is not good he missbehaved And talk very rudly , did not understand our requirments , room was not good as we booked no enough sapce in the room to accomadate my family.
Great location, however very expensive for what it is. Good service
Rooms are huge and spacious. But old and musty. Furniture is not clean and old and beds are also not comfortable
Asked for a Big double bed. Got a regular double bed. View from window was of a concrete block which was the back of another hotel where pigeons sat and poo'd all day and night
it was comfortable, with walkable distance from haram , good WiFi coverage, helpful stuff.
The stuff are not professionally trained. It should be 3 stars hotel. I had to wait for the receptionist to come to do my check out there was no one and he didn’t even apologies when he came back . They have paid parking 150SR per day. Not nice smell all over the level and room. Th mattress and pillow are not comfortable at all.
Overall a good hotel with great location near Haram.. The service I would say was not that great requested them for an adapter to plugin my iphone charger and the receptionist said they dont have it all are taken. The washroom was a turnoff, the commode was right under the wash basin so had to sit side ways to take a dump/leak as legs could not fit it due to congested place. Shower area was good. Another turnoff was that the rooms share a door with the room next to you. Unfortunately room next to me had a noisy family with noisy kids so i was not able to sleep due to the noise which was very clear as if its coming from my own room. Had to complain to the reception who called them to avoid making noise. This was the issue only for the 1st night out of my 4 nights So overall a good experience. Great location and a pretty decent breakfast. Friendly staff.
Hi Since my booking include but hotel said no. Plz resolve the problem.
Worst hotel experience in haram ever !! AC didn’t work in 2 rooms (after they switched rooms) !!! Worst service. !!!! U keep calling different numbers for up to an hour for any answer. Unfriendly staff can’t even speak English. No iron in room. Fridge didn’t work in both rooms. DIRTY STAINED BEDS AND SHEETS AND CARPET ALL OVER. OLD AND NOT WORTH IT unless u just want a cheap room. Had to dial the housekeeping for over an hour just for soap and towels. They said at check in that breakfast buffet was included in the stay and even told me time and floor to go to in the morning. I go down in the morning and they said it’s not included. Tried to talk to manager but once again no one understood a word I said in English. Worst hotel experience of my life
Reception Staff are very very friendly and flexible, walk is not too far as only a straight road to the mosque. However the noise in the room from the road became unbearable to sleep with and cleaners were not too keen to clean the rooms. Restaurant was good although they didn't serve any tea!!!
Distance - Less than 5 mins walk to Haram - Kabba. Extremely convenient. Reception-Person at reception was curteous but care free, we waited for couple hours to get our room. Ir could be because of huge number of people checking in & checking out. But staff kept our luggage safe and we went for umrah in the mean time. Room - room was big and included all amenities that was claimed in features page. Air conditioning was working good, locker was peace mind for your valuable items. Bed was huge and comfortable so as pillows. Closet was huge where you fit in all your clothes. Bathroom - bathroom was big and has separate shower area. Staff - hotel staff was very friendly and amicable. Breakfast - 5 star breakfast, traveled from western country, finding wide variety of dishes and all of them halal was blessing. Tea, juices, lentils, vegetables, eggs, waffles, omelet, & so much other food. If you had good breakfast then you need to eat anything for the rest of the day. Over all - we had wonderful experience, although our stay was only for few days but I would definitely recommend this hotel if you coming on short trip. It is bit expensive but worth to pay as it is less than 5 mins walk to Haram.
Great location and excellent food offered. But the rooms definitely show their age. The room was also very dirty: stained carpets, food stains on wall etc
wifi not avialable in the room
Through out my stay there was no Internet. They should do something about the Internet.
