They do pet spraying on a Monday for mosquitoes. The machine is extremely loud and if you’re on the lower level floors all the fumes came in our room and made me vomit. The staff were extremely sorry that I felt sick all day.

The facilities were very outdated, food sucked, pool deck was very unsafe and the tiles are missing. Had some bugs in our room and the bed linen was only changed once in our 10 day stay. You get what you pay for I suppose!

Aircon in room 109 wasn’t working too well, and the bathroom fan wasn’t working. Otherwise, it was all good.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything was well prepared and exceeded my expectations. The team also surprised me with a lovely birthday cake and a beautiful birthday decoration on the bed, which made my celebration so special. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I truly appreciated the extra effort. Thank you to everyone for making my birthday unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

The rooftop pool is abit outdated, the tiles were chipping on the edges of the pool & it had no cold soft drinks at the swim up bar.

The location of our room was noisy. We were moved to another room but it was noisy. Decided not to stay there at all on our last night. They ran out of Bintang/beer completely. I don't drink but the other people do. The maintenance of the hotel is poor. But you definitely get what you paid for.

Always our first option of accommodation in Legian area. Always stay here whenever we go to Bali. Very strategic location, room is spotless and affordable. Also they have 2 nice pools. Hotel team members are corteous and hospitable. In our last stay we got a lovely bed arrangement surprise in our room. We'd like to send our gratitude to Mr. Putu Rio for the room set up and arrangement. Def will stay here again when we visit Bali. Very recommended hotel.

Sadly the food at the hotel was not very good. Especially the à la cart menu was barely edible. Plates were often dirty. Some of the staff were very nice and friendly.

Hotel was so run done. Pool area was unsafe with broken decking and tiles. Luckily for us we had the suite room which aloud us a very spacious area. If you stay here get the suite other rooms are tiny. Honestly it was a cheap hotel and we got what we paid for. Drinks and food are terrible.

Stayed for our wedding anniversary room was setup amazingly

Our stay at Sun Island Hotel & Spa Legian was unfortunately very disappointing and far below what we expected. While there were a few positives, many issues made the overall experience frustrating. First, the breakfast was really bad. It felt like the same food was being served for several days with very little variety, and the quality was not good. Most of the staff in the breakfast area were rude and unhelpful, which made the experience even worse. The only exception was Mr. Nokia, who was polite, friendly, and very professional. He was clearly trying his best to make sure guests were comfortable and having a pleasant stay. He checked on guests, was attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about the experience people were having. Unfortunately, he wasn’t available every day, and on the days he wasn’t there, the difference was very noticeable. Without him, the staff in the breakfast area often felt unfriendly, rude, and not very welcoming. Another issue was the large number of mosquitos in the breakfast area. There were so many that it was uncomfortable to sit there, and it honestly didn’t feel safe for small children. The rooms also had several problems. The locker in our room wasn’t working when we arrived, and after several calls and a long wait, someone finally came to fix it. My parents also had to change their room because their door was jammed and wouldn’t open, which was very inconvenient. In addition, the towels in the room looked more yellow than white, which made them seem old and not very clean. The swimming pool area was quite concerning. The wooden flooring around the pool was broken in places, and the wood felt weak and rotting as if it could give way. Inside the pool, the steps were sharp and had no clear markings, making them difficult to see. Some of the pool floor tiles were also chipped and coming out, which could easily cause injuries. One positive point I must mention is the housekeeping staff. They were absolutely amazing — very polite, professional, and they cleaned the rooms really well. Their effort and attitude were truly appreciated. Overall, despite the great housekeeping team and Mr. Nokia’s efforts, the hotel has many maintenance, service, and safety issues that need serious attention. Because of these problems, we unfortunately would not recommend staying here.

The location is strategic. The staff very friendly and always keep smiling. The rooms looks modern with sub urban.Al looks good.Also they have roof top and swimming pool.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and well maintained, which made me feel comfortable right away. The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I needed. Their positive attitude really made a difference in my experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

This hotel is run down and old, Air conditioning is poor, rooms smell musty, showers have an unbearable smell, mold stains on bedsheets and pillow cases and my kids slept on them, i specifically asked them to change sheets and pillowcase but they just made the bed and same pillow case was on. Had to change four different rooms, all had problems, too much noise, dogs barking, scooters passing by, 3rd floor pool was okay, rooftop pool had a very bad smell. Breakfast buffet had limited options, staff is nice and did their best to accommodate our needs. For this price you can get better hotel in same locality.

Clean and pleasant room. We arrived from the airport late and planned on moving on in the morning so did not get to see the pool area however the staff were really friendly.

Bedroom could do with an update, very old and paint peeling etc. The bathroom definitely needs some tlc as the shower started up on its own in the night waking us up. Bed was comfy so that was the main bit. Across the road is a mini mart and I would say that the breakfast was basic but tasty for the price of it.

If you want a hotel in a good spot, this is located in a good spot on Jl. Legian.

AC in room didn't work, was very loud at night time. No atmosphere around pool area. Drinks range limited at bar. Waited very long for drinks as they make them downstairs then bring them up an elevator and you have to pay as you go.

Perfect location in the heart of everything and the staff are always great! Stayed here with my daughter we had a lovely time!!

It's a scam. Everything is covered by mold, including the pillows. It should be closed. Check the reviews and photos on Google Maps, they're real.

The room was clean. Convenient for dining and entertainment. All the staff were very friendly. Especially Bayu, he was incredibly sweet and enthusiastic. He was always happy to advise and help me with anything I needed. I hope to return soon.

The 3 rd floor pool, the highlight , but missing so many tiles on pool floor you ran risk of cutting your feet

I felt like i was in a dorm, room had odour, was tiny and it should be illegal to classify what I had as a balcony , a balcony. It was like an aerobics excercise to get your way around the bathroom, and the wrought iron gates to get into the section of the hotel that I was in made it feel like a prison, The breakfast was minimal and very ordinary . The staff were mainly reasonable but not anywhere near the same level at the hotel I had just had previously. Could not in clear conscience recommend this hotel to anyone . Far and away worst hotel experience I have ever had in Bali

Breakfast was not catered to westerners. The “butter” was plastic tasting and inedible, the food available was Asian rice and meat - too heavy for breakfast.

The place was run down, leaking ceilings, no wifi and only 2 tv channels in English, bought a SIM card to stream movies but smart tv services blocked. Couldn’t have time out from the chaos of the streets 😢

If you want to be amongst the life of bali this is the hotel to stay at! Close to bars, restaurants and shopping! You literally walk out of the hotel and you are in the middle of the bali nightlife! Prime location if you want to be in the middle of the bali night-life. Do not recommend for children as it is almost impossible to not be surrounded by ciggarette smell. Perfect for the party goers, couples or friend trips.

Absolutely disgusting experience at Sun Island and Spa Hotel in Legian. Our room had black mould on the walls, which is a serious health concern, especially in a place people are supposed to sleep. The floor was filthy, the bed was dirty, and the entire hotel feels neglected and unhygienic. When we complained, the staff were completely unhelpful and dismissive. They showed us another room, but it was in just as bad condition. We had no choice but to leave and move hotels on the second day. To make matters worse, they refused to refund us even after we pointed out the black mould. This is one of the dirtiest, most outdated and unsafe hotels I’ve ever seen – avoid at all costs for your health and sanity.

I had a very very good experience in this hotel when we're in bali, we always check in here for our stay because of the staff are so kind and friendly to us. Specially Bayu is so good in his job very hardworking person all the time he make really good cleaning our room. This is awesome experience. Thank you!!

we only stayed for one night and had to leave very early in the morning, staff were fantastic (service desk is open 24/7) and helped book us a cab at 4:30am to go to the airport. fast check-in and fast check-out, only problem we had was our room was on the ground floor and outside our little window was a side road and every time someone walked past you could hear someone's dogs barking like they were in your room.
