Beautiful setting, lovely appointed room with breakfast supplies. Owner went out of her way to pick us up and also drop us off at the ferry terminal.

Lovely quiet spot. Loved that breakfast was left in our room so we could prepare it at our leisure. Cute little egg poacher!

The stay was exceptional. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and gave us many helpful tips for Picton. The accommodation was very stylishly furnished, and the breakfast was very rich and varied. The rooms were harmoniously and tastefully decorated. A wonderful époche-style hotel. A rating of 10 is actually too low.

Najlepsze miejsce w jakim do tej pory spałem ! Bardzo mili i bardzo serdeczni gospodarze z bardzo idytwiudalnym podejściem do Klienta ! :-) Bardzo otwarci i życzliwi nawiązujący swobodny kontakt z Gościem dzięki czemu człowiek w tym pięknym miejscu czuje się jak gdyby był w domu. Domek umieszczony na uboczu miejscowości pod lasem, cisza i świety spokój, piękny ogórd i nie daleko do miasta gdzie można wszystko kupić i dobrze zjeść. Bardzo dobre śniadanie ! Najlepsze było ciasto :-) Szybko działające Wi-Fi. W tym czasie podróżuje bardzo dużo i był to najlepszy mój pobyt przez cały miesiąc podróży. Także polecam każdemu to miejsce kto wybiera się do Picton. Na prawdę warto skorzystać !

We loved the room and the thoughtful touches, such as fruit and home made brownies from our hosts. Despite a late ferry arrival, we were warmly welcomed. The accommodation was comfortable and we loved the location and character of the b&b, the garden and terrace and the friendliness of the hosts.

The owners were wonderful. Provided us rides from the bus back to the ferry. Both rooms we stayed in were very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had at any place we stayed and it was in our room so we could enjoy it at our convenience. This was our favorite lodging in New Zealand.

Our hosts went above and beyond in fulfilling our needs! Afternoon tea was laid out for us when we arrived. A large variety of breakfast choices was in the frig. Our host was kind enough to take us to the ferry in the morning! The home is a mansion from the 1800s and is beautifully kept as are the grounds. We highly recommend this B and B!!!

Everything! It's such a beautiful historical house right under a hill, decorated elegantly inside and outside. The housewares are tasteful and comfortable. The garden is enjoyable, with chairs shaded by an olive tree! Michelle is very kind and attentive. She picked us up from ferry and drove us to the train station. Breakfast items are refreshing!

A bit of insects at night, but manageable if remember to keep doors/windows shut :)

It was a lovely location. The couple who own it are great. The breakfast was superb. They provide a shuttle to town and pick up from the ferry.

Everything! The accommodation is gorgeous and tastefully decorated. It was also spectacularly clean. Our hosts were so welcoming. Special little touches too, like the delicious lemon cake for when we arrived. Would most definitely stay here again.

It’s a stunning house beautifully decorated and furnished. It’s easy walking distance to the bars and restaurants . The owner is very nice and provides a lovely breakfast, and gave us free transfers to and from the ferry.

Excellent base for Picton and surroundings. Michele and Stefan great hosts and the room had much character. Loved the self help breakfast which could be had at any time. The house is magic. Highly recommended.

Very convenient for a short night sleep an a nightly breakfast before taking the ferry to Wellington.

A beautiful home on the edge of town, very peaceful and quiet. The grounds were fantastic, the rooms excellent. Michelle was very helpful with all of our requests. The balcony was a wonderful place to relax after a hike.

Luxurious comfort in a stunning house with amazing gardens

Wir hatten als "Zimmer" eigentlich mehr eine Art Wohnung. Die Lage in dem Garten ist wunderschön. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The highlight is definitely the house itself and the surrounding garden, a real park full of vegetation and birds, located in a very peaceful and quiet residential area next to the forest. The room is large, the bed very comfortable and the shower very powerful. A nice terrace with a table and two chairs is just in front of the room door. Breakfast is very generous and rich. Location is very convenient, just a few minutes drive from the ferry and less than 15 min walk to the town centre. Last but not least, the hosts are very friendly.

The carpets: they would probably benefit from some "rejuvenation" by either a deep cleaning or replacement

Ein Kleinod an geschmackvollen Einrichtungen und liebe zum Detail. In einem wunderschönen Garten gelegene und mit viel Aufwand gepflegte Anlage. Super freundliche und herzliche Vermieter die sich sehr viel Mühe geben um den Aufenthalt in Ihrem Haus so angenehm und schön wie möglich zu gestalten. Für ein gutes Frühstück ist gesorgt und man kann den Tag ausgeruht und gut gestärkt beginnen. Vielen Dank, dass wir dort zugast sein durften.

I wish we could have stayed longer

From the very first moment, we felt incredibly welcome here. Stefan and Michelle run this place with such heart and their home is absolutely wonderful, and the surroundings, including the garden are simply stunning. Their dog is incredibly friendly, adding to the warm atmosphere. The ambiance, decor, and all the thoughtful amenities make it a truly luxurious place, deserving of high praise. It’s definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed at, and I highly recommend it!

There was nothing at all not to like!

Lovely, peaceful and private location in beautiful settings. The premises has an interesting and well documented history. Well maintained and clean property. Welcoming and friendly owners. Great selection of breakfast items and hot drinks. Our room (the studio) was comfortable. Fits the boutique bill!

Our first night we experienced an internet bandwith issue so the TV wouldn't load, and the hot water ran out after two brief showers. No issue the following night however, so perhaps a one-off!

A beautiful maintained home and B&B. Great balcony, manicured gardens. Large rooms, we had a lounge room, dining table, 2 bathrooms, kitchen area. The little touches around food and cakes/slices. Great Hosts. A short walk to town with plenty of restaurant choices.

The rooms are super clean, spacious and the location is just a short walk to the downtown. Michelle made us feel welcome and made sure we were comfortable.

Very comfortable private lodging in a beautiful home

The apartment was incredibly comfortable and clean. The bed and bedding were delightful after traveling all day. The homemade banana bread and breakfast items in the refrigerator were a a treat in the morning.

In many respects this should get a 5***** review, as the attention to detail and all the little extras are just superb. But it was all a little too much for me. And please, the gravel drive doesn’t work with heavy wheeled suitcases.

I had such a great stay - fabulous hosts (who were kind enough to collect me from the ferry terminal!) and gorgeous accommodation. Highly recommend

Everything was amazing, from the host's greetings, to the marvelous room decor, and quiet location. Excellent water pressure. I enjoyed their approach to self serve breakfast. I would choose to stay there again,!

We stayed overnight in Queen Charlotte room, beautiful setup with everything ready to use. Fridge was filled ready for our breakfast, fresh fruits and cookies for your afternoon tea too. Walking distance to the wharf and restaurants. Friendly host, dog and Jack & Jill the sheep. Will definitely come back again

Michelle and Stefan are lovely hosts. They are friendly and helpful. We had the studio and it was charming, beautifully decorated and spacious with a wonderful sun filled terrace.

The house and the gardens are absolutely gorgeous. Michelle greeted us when we arrived and was a wonderful host. Breakfast was already prepared for us and there were brownies waiting on the round dining table in our room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the sound of birds in the garden greeted us in the morning. We also had a wonderful dinner at Sisu.

Absolutely loved this accommodation. Michelle and Stefan are amazing hosts! Nothing is too much trouble. We were late getting off ferry and Michelle waited around for us with no complaint. The food provided was beautiful and fresh. The house is exquisite and the gardens (including jack and gill the lambs) are a beautiful added bonus. Could of happily stayed for longer

Cold in the room heat was not set high enough

What a beautiful home this is! An historic wooden building on the outskirts of the town that is full of charm and character. We were welcomed by our wonderful hosts and shown to our beautiful room which had lots of storage and fantastic bed and antique furniture. The mini kitchen was brilliantly stocked with everything we'd need for breakfast and it was full of mod cons and little touches, with a bathroom that was stocked with so many thoughtful items that would put a 5 star hotel to shame. A wonderful stay and beautiful gardens in a very quiet part of town.

It's a bit of a walk to town so keep that in mind - it was fine for us but just something to remember if you are travelling with luggage, kids, etc. but well worth it, believe me, to stay in this gorgeous home.

Interesting property, lovely room with comfortable 4 poster bed. Breakfast waiting in the fridge, chocolate brownies, lots of nice little touches and charming hosts. Harvey the dog was super cute. Loved the electric egg poacher too! Couldn't ask for more really. Picton is a nice little town with lots of restaurants and shops.

Nothing really, we had a lovely stay. If i had to be picky the Kitchenette was a tad on the small side but it had all the essentials, microwave and fridge etc and we weren't there to do a lot of meal prep. This is designed to be a luxury bed and breakfast experience and fits the bill perfectly.

sennenHouse is a beautiful historic property. Michelle and Stephan are excellent hosts who have set the house up well to receive visitors. Great accomodation, and breakfast.

The breakfast was simple but lovely with fresh eggs and good coffee. The owners were also very welcoming and helpful. The property was a beautiful old homestead surrounded by lovely gardens.

The owners were very hospitable. We were all pleased with our beautiful, well-appointed suites. After travelling for a couple of weeks, the well-stocked fridge and ability to make our own breakfast was a treat: eggs from their own hens, milk, juice, jam, butter, bread, fresh fruit. Beautifully landscaped, peaceful, and backing into a mountain forest. And a charming little dog named Harvey.

Warm welcome from Michelle, Stefan and Harvey! Accommodation was beautiful and very clean and comfortable. The homemade cake was gorgeous too. Only sorry we only booked for one night.
