Top of the Town

The Owner went above and beyond to facilitate our very late arrival. we are very grateful. Clean, tidy, friendly, and warm! What more could you want after a late ferry crossing.

It was perfect property for us and Dog Tracee the host was very accommodating and we loved out stay.

Easy to find, close to town. Fantastic lawn area for doggo. Tracee made the room very warm and inviting for our evening arrival, much appreciated. The bathroom is spacious and modern. Comfortable, warm bed. Very clean and tidy with all you need including some nice little touches.

We had a comfortable room, and it was easy access to join the ferry in the morning. Comfy bed and good shower.

Tracee was a fantastic host. We were stuck after the ferry cancelling so happy to spend a night at Top of the Town!

This lovely and very comfortable home was very close to the ferry dock which made it very convenient to get to after the long ride over from Wellington. Tracee, the proprietor, was extraordinarily friendly and give us a wonderful recommendation for dinner at that late hour. Highly recommend this property!!

Proximity to the ferry terminal and easy to find on SH1. Friendly welcome from Tracee…lovely lady.

Being on SH1 and an uphill incline, the trucks leaving the port crank up the noise from about 4am…however, there are ear plugs provided in the room.

It is a little loud (hence earplugs were kindly provided) and the bed wasn’t as comfortable - but, great experience overall.

I loved how easy it was to find after coming off a 4 hour ferry ride during the night. The room that I stayed in was really nice and had a warm feeling to it. Everything was clean and tidy when I entered it. I also appreciated the ability to bring my pet along and he loved it to.

The room was clean, bright, well provisioned and comfortable. Tracee the owner was lovely. There was even a heated blanket which we didn’t need. Appreciated the earbuds (again, unused) and the mints. Would recommend

Nil. But there is road noise. But there are ear plug supplied and it didn’t both us.

Tracee was extremely helpful and flexible around my midnight arrival from the Interislander ferry, and the accommodation was exactly what I needed for a quick stay near the ferry terminal. Would absolutely stay here again should the occasion arise.

Tracee was an amazing host! It decided to pour right when I arrived and she still came out to meet me! The room was fabulous with all needed amenities. I wish I had more than one night to stay here.

It is rather loud (thin walls and windows, car noises from the street) but the host even provided a pair of ear plugs next to the bed.

This was the coziest spot. The electric blankets made the bed so comfortable. And it’s an easy walk around town

Only complaint was that it is close to a main road so there is a bit of road noise. They do provide earplugs which is appreciated.

Loved the room tucked away and private with great facilities for my dog. Therewas a cold spell while i was there and the bathroom was pretty cold, but the shower was excellent. Host was great, there when needed. Close to food outleys and supermarket. Great night in with netflix and other digital services. Would stay again.
