Although the motel was an older style, the room was very clean. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Price was very reasonable and we had everything we needed. We had no issues while staying here and I would definitely stay again.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Cleanliness of room 16. Warmth and number of pillows per bed, wonderful. Lots of kitchen utensils and kitchen cleaning products. Beautiful wet floor shower and generous amount of towels, outstanding.

Room 16 is next to quite a busy side road, traffic noise was noticeable. other than that, no concerns.

The shower and heat pump were awesome. Have stayed at many motels in the area and this had the best shower by far.. everything you need for a comfortable stay. Not the flashiest but served our purpose.

good size room with location near the city, food places were not far also the hot tub was nice

both heaters were not functioning properly with 1 not working at all and it was to late before i had realised also the wall heater would cut off at random intervals

Spacious unit, comfortable bed, warm and I loved the bonus of an electric blanket.

The rooms are not sound proofed. My neighbours, maybe next door or above me played music all night and at 3.30am I was woken up by loud talking. It was disappointing as otherwise I would have had a great sleep.

Everything was amazing, i can't fault it.

Easy to find. Handy location to CBD and walking along the river. Safe parking. Extremely high standard of cleanliness.

2nd stay here. Perfect location, close to the river and close to town. Friendly staff, an adequate room for 1 night with carpark right outside. Decent deep spa bath where you could actually feel the water from the jets. We will stay again.

We stay at this motel overnight on our way to Wellington. While it is an older style motel it was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again

Location by river and easy walking distance to town were great. Spacious clean and comfortable unit (Deluxe Studio) Spa bath was a lovely end to the day.

The staff we had interaction with were incredibly helpful and friendly! The room itself, while older, was EXCEPTIONALLY clean - the shower and bench literally sparkled. Thank you for such a lovely stay x

The additional blankets offered were quite thin so we were a little chilly overnight but this is a very minor thing and not something I'd be complaining about!

The location was excellent, close to the river and a relaxing stroll to the shopping area and bus stop. The staff were friendly and helpful and followed up with any requests.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this motel.

I loved how all the units from 2 -5 opened out onto a fantastic large fence yard with grass and a picnic table so safe for our grandkids to come and go from each unit and we didn’t need to worry about being unsafe

Dated, old tv, just tired for $172

Hot water seemed to be in short supply and the shower went cold very quickly

We were originally booked in a upstairs unit but due to an illness I am unable to do stairs. It was not a problem for a change to be made on the spot. Bed was comfortable and the spa bath was just what I needed. Great location. We will be back again.

The reception by the manager was better than anywhere we have been in NZ or around the world. He was very welcoming, friendly and informative.

Good size accommodation and comfy beds, clean and tidy motel in easy walking distance to town centre. Kitchenette and bathroom are original, but clean, tidy and functional. Friendly staff.

Old place which needs renovation. Price isn't right for the age of the premises and facilities.. too expensive. A strong smell of sweat remained my whole stay.. 2 nights.. I suggest to clean carpet, etc. I didn't have a shower so can't rate the shower. The back door - to the garden - isn't functioning properly. I also suggest less mirrors and a couple of art works instead!

Great location and comfortable bed. Nice and dark for sleeping at night.

It was very dated but I was mostly there to sleep between sporting events so it didn’t matter. The shower was hot, the bedding clean and bed comfortable which is all I needed. There was a weird vibration 2 of 3 nights which made it difficult to relax.

have stayed here before and was excellent, this was a very hot day and we had an upstairs room which was a bit warm overnight and hard to get a breeze through.

Tight parking and not near our units (but at least got a space). No aircon in the rooms, and one of the lads TVs didn't work properly. Bit difficult to get shower temp right, but was ok in the end, although fairly low pressure.

The staff were friendly and the location was good.

The garden studio was in a very tired state. Shower curtain was in a poor condition resulting in a very wet floor. The couch had seen better days. And cabinets had chipped paintwork. On returning after an evening meal there was no parking available, so we reluctantly had to park on a busy street. Not ideal. We expected alot better as it had a reasonably good rating guide.

Staff were great and friendly, even shifted our room for us on the day for no extra cost so we could have a bath, which wasn't on our original room. Location is so close to town, waking distance to most things.

Not much, some of the room decor was a bit dated, but that didn't effect the stay and everything worked.

Convenient to local eaterys and highway. Relaxing walk along river just across the road.

I can only comment on suite 6. This was on first floor at the front so had a river view. But it was a strange design, had dated fittings, with a little airless kitchen. It was hot and smelly when we walked in but very noisy from the road when windows open.
