We enjoyed everything. The host met us on arrival with a welcoming glass of champagne. Lovely views over Somerset West. Breakfast was amazing and different everyday. Owner was extremely helpful and wanted to ensure our stay was an enjoyable and memorable experience, which it definitely was.

Richard ist der perfekte Gastgeber mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl, unterstützt von einem tollen Team! Freundlich, unaufdringlich und dezent und dennoch immer präsent. Unzählige liebevolle Details verschönern diesen ohnehin schon perfekten Aufenthalt, sehr ästhetisch und schön für‘s Auge. Das Picknick-Körbchen zum Frühstück ist einmalig.

Prachtige locatie met vergezichten. Zeer familiaal onthaal door Richard. Zeer mooi onderhouden domein. Twee mooie zwembaden. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Zeer lekker, persoonlijk ontbijt.

De service en gastvrijheid is ronduit fantastisch. Een warm welkom met een drankje met korte uitleg. De kamers zijn geweldig, ruim, heerlijke badkamer, het straalt luxe uit. Tot in de kleine details merk je dat hier voor je gezorgd wordt en dat je gewaardeerd wordt als klant.

Er is werkelijk niets wat op te merken is aan deze accommodatie.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Richard ist ein sehr zuvorkommender, aufmerksamer und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Die Suite war super sauber und gepflegt, die Zimmermädchen haben alles perfekt gereinigt. Es war alles perfekt!!

Tolles Ambiente, geschmackvolle Ausstattung, gute Lage, sehr netter Gastgeber, der immer gute Tipps für Unternehmungen und Restaurants hat. Frühstück morgens sehr liebevoll angerichtet, glutenfreies Brot ist kein Problem

Delicious breakfast every morning, nicely presented in a picnic style basket and served in a closed in patio with beautiful view and fireplace for cold mornings. Freshly baked croissants, rolls and muffins. Every day the egg dish is new, or can be adjusted to your own taste. Our rooms were big, well equipped, spotless with lovely underfloor heating. Host and other staff were all very friendly, professional and accommodating. Can highly recommend!

This is one of the best Bed & Breakfast properties I’ve ever stayed at! The impeccably clean, luxurious, and spacious bedroom and bathroom truly stand out. The creative breakfast basket was a delightful and unique touch—something I’ve never experienced before. The beautifully landscaped gardens, filled with a variety of plants and flowers, add to the charm. The host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, even when I accidentally misplaced my room key and had to wake him at dawn to open the gate. A truly memorable stay!

Located in a residential neighborhood, the property offers limited opportunities for walking or outdoor activities on-site. Additionally, the pool is situated directly in front of the rooms, which may not be ideal for those seeking more privacy.

Well positioned and Richard is such an excellent host. Breakfast is really beautifully presented and delicious. Most comfy bed we have slept in for a very long time.

Located in a very nice area with beautiful views, the place is very clean and immaculate. The room was big and the bed super comfortable. The location was perfect nearby some very nice wineries, and also next to De Zalze golf. Breakfast was very enjoyable sitting in the beautiful garden.

In Cape Vermeer, everything is perfect. Richard is the best host ever, and we love it there. The room right at the pool is spacious; the pool area is super nice. The best is the delicious breakfast, and the stuff is very friendly and caring.

Sehr schönes Bed and Breakfast. Geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtete Zimmer. Bequeme Betten, perfekt sauber, grosses Bad, sehr gute Lage in schönem und ruhigem Quartier. Gut gelegen um viele Orte in der Kapregion zu besuchen. Richard hat viele gute Tips, was zu besuchen und wo zu essen und bemüht sich sehr um seine Gäste. Der Pool ist perfekt sauber und das Frühstück im Garten ist wunderbar.

The view is incredible. The breakfasts are delicious (the pastries and croissants were SO fresh), and the attention to detail is impressive. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The glass house where we worked and had breakfast was so quaint and comfortable. The views from there are lovely. Richard and Bart, our hosts, made the stay very memorable and special. They are so professional and welcoming and do everything with excellence. Cape Vermeer will definitely be our go-to place when we stay in that part of the Cape.

This is a #1 Guesthouse. It is easy to see why it gained the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Best of the Best 2021/22/23! Richard the host was outstanding. He took a personal interest in our enjoyment and satisfaction at the property. The breakfast was outstanding in every respect, with care and attention to the provision of fresh ingredients and freshly cooked dishes. The bed comfort is superior with mattresses that provided excellent support and comfort. Finally, the setting is wonderful with views over False Bay and the Heldeberg Mountain. What more could you ask for.....! We have visited Somerset West for over 20 years and this is by far the best accomodation experience we have enjoyed. We will certainly return.

If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat to explore Cape Town's surrounding coastal and wine areas than look no further. The host Richard (and his friendly staff) are exceptional in looking into all details and providing you a "Home away from home". The thoughts put into the breakfast presentation and quality is second to none. Loved every minute of our stay!

Hätte nie meine Ferien in diesem Hotel verbracht, wenn ich gewusst hätte dass es im ganzen Areal Rauch verbot ist! Das Rauchen ist nur bedingt ausserhalb vom geschlossenen Areal auf dem Parkplatz und Strasse gestattet.

We were personally welcomed by Richard and had a welcome drink in the garden lounge (with a stunning view). The room, the location, the breakfast, ... everything was simply next level. The eye for details and the genuine hospitality was putting a big smile on our faces. I will for sure recommend Cape Vermeer to friends and family when the travel to the Cape!

The room was absolutely gorgeous and had everything you could possibly need. Richard and all of the team are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best we've ever had - freshly cooked and baked goodies every morning and kindly adapted to suit any dietary requirements. The pool area is lovely and we often had it to ourselves during the day. There's some great wine estates within a short drive as well.

We enjoyed our stay at Cape Vermeer so much for so many reasons! Starting with the beautiful location in serene surroundings and luxurious and comfortable room (with attention to every detail). Furthermore, Richard was an amazing host; very customer friendly and helpful, really top notch! But his staff was also very friendly, with Blessing standing out the most. What a hardworking and cheerful man, he put a smile on your face every time. And last but not least the super tasty breakfast, with lots of fresh products and delicious egg dishes, made by Richard himself. In short, an absolute must! Do not hesitate but do it!

Fantastic appartments, only drawback was that the pool was closed due to the drought.

The room was spacious and most comfortable. The view of False Bay was stupendous - to die for! The owners, Richard and Bart, could not do enough for us and were always available to attend to any issues we had, however small. Not that there were many. All in all it was one of the best stays we have experienced for years. We shall return!

We chose the ocean view room and loved the panoramic views and balcony. Comfy bed. Excellent bath and shower. Richard was an excellent host. Helpful and friendly. Do pay extra for the breakfast. Served in a hamper with variety each day.

Oase der Ruhe in Somerset West, sehr schön gelegen und eingerichtet, Privatheit wird groß geschrieben, leckerer Frühstückkorb steht jeden Morgen vor der Tür, großer Erholungswert, nur Poollandschaft etwas kahl.

Cape Vermeer hat modern eingerichtete Apartments mit einem Traumblick auf die False Bay. Die Räume sind modern und mit allem technischen Komfort ausgestattet. Klimanlage, TV, Kaffeemaschine sowie eine wunderbare Dusche tragen zum Wohlgefühl bei. Der Garten ist top gepflegt und man kann dort wunderbar sitzen und den Ausblick genießen. Die Betreuung durch den Besitzer und Carine ist sehr persönlich und angenehm. Das Haus steht in einer sehr guten Wohngegend von Somerset West. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen.

This place is amazing! The views are spectacular, the interior is great, the bed was super comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We had our own mini kitchen, which was perfect for the one night that we didn't want to go to a restaurant. The stay also included vouchers for breakfast at a restaurant nearby, and that place was awesome as well, serving delicious eggs Benedict. The only downside of Cape Vermeer is that you need your own car (which we had), because nothing will be within walking distance. It is a perfect location for driving to Cape Town, Gordon's Bay or Stellenbosch. We highly recommend staying at Cape Vermeer!

Perfect Location for the Winelands Region. Amazing views of the surrounding area with luxurious accommodations. Highly recommended for a luxury secluded getaway.
