InterContinental Fuzhou by IHG

This hotel is next to Chating Metro station, and there are many public buses serving this area. Plus the friendly staff and clean room, it is highly recommended. I stayed 7 nights with my family of 3. If I visit Fuzhou again, I’ll stay in this hotel again.

房間冷氣不夠，太焗睡不好，房間味道大，燈光不夠，厠所抽氣也很差，下次去福州一定不會入住，也不推薦。

Good location. Close to public tranport. A nice small park nearby. Property seem well maintained, reported an issue with faulty sliding door that was supposed to separate bedroom and bath area, which was eventually fixed.

Everything was great, the only problem was that the personal keeps knocking the door even when you ask specifically for not disturbing.

I mean all the staff members are so nice and patient, definitely will be back to stay

This hotel is a fine choice for a slightly upscale property. The common areas are attractive and clean. The room was very quiet and comfortable, but an oddly laid out bathroom with no privacy took up almost half the room. TIP: Subway station very close to hotel, and great Chinese breakfast restaurant is directly across the street. Unfortunately, Fuzhou has a serious motorbike problem. They swarm all over the streets and sidewalks with no regard for pedestrians or traffic laws, a condition that is much worse than other Chinese cities. Be careful! Check out the beautiful park directly behind the hotel.

Great experience for this hotel.Staff made a tele call before you arrived for check your booking,the room in 30th floor,with a great city view,clean and silence.But the front desk is too small for so a popular hotel,you must wait at least 3-5mins for check-in.

Been there for the second time, it’s as nice as expected. However, it seems like female employees need to improve their friendliness than the males. Overall good!

ディナービュッフェでは閉店２時間前にもかかわらず、ステーキや魚介類などは既にないといわれ、いただくことができなかった。閉店30分前から片付け始めて雰囲気がない。298元に見合ったいない五星ホテルとは言い難いものであった。 ホテル内レストランもオーダーから料理が出るまで時間がかかりすぎる。服務員のオーダーミスが多く、何度も聞き直しにきた。 施設は清潔感があり、良かった。

Nice Staff, and very clean facility. got upgraded to an executive room for free, a beautiful shower room with full window view. Might visit again someday!

Stayed here overnight while switching trains so as not to rush with a lot of luggage etc. we are so glad we did. Hotel gave us an upgrade to a suite, it was like staying at a spa and all for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was everything you could ask for and more. My wife is Chinese and I’m western and we both had plenty of our favorites. My only regret is that we only stayed one day

Nice facility, but none of front desk staff speak enough English to be understood by non-Chinese. They don't understand English either. First night we went to the 6th floor restaurant, and there was no food. No meats--like NONE, a few vegetable dishes, a few soups and that was about it. The only beers they had left were Budweiser and Heineken. We took the Heineken, and it was served warm (like right out of the box). It was awful. Adding insult to injury, the restaurant staff could not understand our basic orders and took forever to come back and tell us they were out of almost everything. We waited for about 30 minutes for the warm beer, as well. Never again. I have stayed at this hotel once or twice before without issue, so management must have changed---for the worse. Best to take a pass on this InterDomestic hotel, unless you are a Chinese.

There is a metro station just round the corner of the hotel. 2 stations to San Fang Qi Xiang.

Location was excellent with metro close to hotel. Also many bus lines in the neighborhood.

Staffs are friendly. But the dinner and breakfast are not up to the standard of intercontinental hotel.

Stayed at InterContinental Fuzhou for 3 nights. Didn't expect much initially because of the ratings I read on Expedia. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got there. Upon check-in I got a free upgrade from Deluxe to Premier Club. That alone deserves a five-star. At the buffet restaurant, although it's self-service, the staff were still very attentive. One young chef was particularly friendly. And the lead(manager?) went extra miles to introduce local specialties to me. It was perhaps my own mistake that I put my dirty clothes in the hotel laundry bag. The housekeeper mistook it as a gesture for them to be cleaned. After I told her I did that because I didn't bring my own bag for dirty laundry, she phoned the laundry service immediately. I thought I would come back to find dirty clothes, instead I saw them cleaned and neatly folded in a basket, with an apology note on top! The only thing I can say to the hotel is that please keep up the great work. I would be more than happy to be your guest again, and recommend the place to others!

The 5 days stay was fantastic! Only flaw was the pillow was too soft....overall stay it's superb. Will be back again soon.

It's OK, location is good and easy to meet people....

hotel was great. the staff was extraordinarily nice, the breakfast was excellent, and everything was at an affordable rate. there is plenty of food nearby.

I opted to upgrade to the club lounge and was disappointed. You can't even take a club soda out of the lounge. I have never stayed at a hotel and upgraded to the club lounge level and not been able to take a club soda out with me. Breakfast in the lounge was just so so. My colleague went downstairs and he said it was a bit better.

Great contemporary decor that is very clean. Courteous staff that tries hard. However, they fall short on knowledge and experience in serving business travelers. I arrived at 9:00 pm and they were trying to say the restaurant was closed. After our insistence, they said we could go there. They had an extensive drink menu.....and they did not know how to prepare a single one of the drinks. They did not know how to do the gin & tonic (really?), they had Martini on the menu, but what they brought me was a drink with chopped up olives, ice and in a DOF glass. I had to show them an image from the web of what the Martini looks like. They brought bread with margarine, we asked for butter (I had a chinese agent with me) and they said they did not have. Next morning, there is butter out on the buffet. This is not what an Intercontinental should be like....just go to Hong Kong and see. These are the little things that drive weary business travelers crazy. I hope they can better prepare service staff to provide a positive experience for their guests.

Incredible size of room and bathroom was amazing, stunning accommodation......bed was enormous and so comfortable.

Staff are friendly & helpful. But guests next door frequently smoke in the corridor.

It was my second time at this hotel, the room is perfect, everything you need and the view was great. The service at the hotel is also good, staff speak good english and always helpful. The only thing near the hotel there is no many option for restaurant and activities, so need a taxi to go around.

It's a fair hotel at that price.

The staff in the breakfast place is not as friendly and patient as expected. I was at the soup noodle stand, the chef there spoke fast and when I asked him to repeat his sentence he simply ignored me and attended other customers. I told his supervisor and she addressed it which was satisfactory to me.

Although the hotel is not in the center area of Fuzhou, it's in a location that has a variety of restaurants. I enjoyed walking through the nearby park, especially in the mornings. The hotel staff were all helpful and friendly.

The structure of the hotel is very good, the hotel staff always try to help, but english level is quite limited, the breakfast is excellent, internet works well, the location is in the city center, but not so good..

Clean, cozy and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the shower tubs drain is too slow and make me feel like the room will overflow if I don't turn the water off during my shower.

Hotel was top notch for China. Clean, Comfortable, quiet. Staff is good. I travel to China 4 to 5 times a year and would highly recommend this hotel. 20 minute drive from airport with no traffic.

It was a pleasant stay at Intercontinental Fuzhou. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. The food at the breakfast buffet was OK. I'll definitely stay again at this hotel next time I come.

Front desk staff are attentive, and good in upselling me to executive floor while not making you feels like pushy. Well trained.
