Nothing to dislike. Maybe the air-conditioner needs a replacement. Cooling was inadequate though the staff tried their best.

Das eine Booking.com Buchung bestätigt war, aber im Hotel keine Information von Booking.com vorlag. Nur gut, dass das Personal an der Rezeption das Problem gelöst hat

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Mayfair Convention is centrally located but in a quiet, leafy side-street. Rooms were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. A la carte menu was good, and if we wanted a change, there are a wide range of eateries (coffee and snacks to specialty Odia restaurant) across the road at Mayfair Lagoon.
Veneer floors in our room a bit squeaky, meaning I occasionally unintentionally woke my wife at night.

Reviewed Mar 10, 2024The hotel is very centrally located.That’s a very big advantage while catching up with family and friends.The decor of the room is pleasant.Cleanliness and hygiene levels are at par with international standards.The staff is extremely helpful and polite.Overall a pleasant experience.
Due to the location of a road adjacent to the property it gets noisy during the day.The air conditioning was not very effective.I had to call maintenance.The mattress was kind of worn out with not enough support.Probably worn out with time and needs replacement

Reviewed Mar 6, 2024Mayfair Convention is, as you could guess from the name, mainly used for conventions and meeting rooms. Only the top floor has guest rooms. So it is smaller than you might think from the pictures in terms of guest numbers. The great thing is that its sister hotel over the road has everything you would expect in a top class hotel including many great restaurants, bars, etc which you can use as a guest at Mayfair Convention... but your room costs much less than those over the road. If you are travelling to see the old part of town/temples, it is a fair distance away but transport is very affordable. The team at the hotel are incredibly welcoming and arranged transport and tours for us to Cuttack, Konark and beyond. Thanks so much to everyone at the hotel, especially Jagdish on the front desk!

Reviewed Jun 19, 2023I had inadvertently booked the check in date as 18.6.2023 whereas my actual check in date should have been 25.6.2023( one week later). To rectify this mistake, I called at the hotel number but such was the sorry state of affairs that even after calling continously for about 3 hrs, nobody answered the call. Many times the automated msg kept holding my call for about 10 minutes but no staff answered the call. As a result, I had to forgo the full advance payment that I had made during the booking. This is so unfair, customers should at least be given the chance to amend the dates instead of making them face so much hardship and lose their hard earned money!

Reviewed Jan 27, 2023Our stay was really marvellous. The hotel does not have many rooms so the service is extremely personalized. teh amenities are excellent. The pool that is available at Mayfair Lagoon across the street is marvellous, so is the place at Mayfair Lagoon, which is completely integrated with Mayfair Convention. There is water, newspaper, soft drinks and snacks provided at no extra charge. The place is well located, in an area that is not noisy, but still right next to pharmacies, and small shops.
