Love the location and wonderful plant life in the atrium. Stunning.
Struttura con alte potenzialità. Molto bella e in ottima posizione.
The room was spacious and the courtyard is attractively decorated with plants. The breakfast was on the upper end of quality of hotel breakfasts that we received during our two weeks in Morocco.
The advertised swimming pool is murky green, dirty and clearly non-functional. Lifting cushions or looking underneath furniture reveals a lot of dirt and grime. Given that the hotel was advertised with a pool I asked the owner to consider reducing the charge but he refused. We met many lovely people during our trip, but this this place was very much the exception to this. I cannot recommend that you visit this hotel, the owner clearly cares more about money than giving guests a good experience.
Fijne locatie, mooie kamer en vriendelijk personeel
Spacious room, very hospitable and nice welcoming
Comfortable large room, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast, staff were so helpful. My traveling companion was not well during our visit and Yousef (name?) was so helpful. He escorted her to see a doctor and waited til she completed her appointment to escort her back and help her find a pharmacy.
We were happy with everything.
Chambre famille spacieuse au calme. Excellent emplacement. Très bon petit déjeuner.
An amazing riad inside the medina. The interior and attention to details are incredible. The staff are very caring and warm-hearted. Super-fast Wi-Fi with speeds around 200mbs - special thanks for that, we were able to sync all our photos :) And we especially loved our tea parties by the fireplace
The dinner was a bit overpriced
colazione ottima con prodotti genuini (ricotta super!), posizione perfetta a pochi passi dalla porta blu. Personale cordiale e sempre disponibile.
I liked staying in a riad, it was an experience, my/our first time. The owner was very communicative and helpful before our arrival (but was away during our stay). You could walk to the medina or other parts of the city, or get a taxi. The ladies serving breakfast were very sweet. I also went to a traditional hammam with one of them and I am thankful for that.
We came in December, the weather was very wet and cold, including snow outside Fez. The riad was very cold everywhere, even with (portable) heaters. It leaked into our room - we were kindly moved to another one. The staff on site did not speak English (much), thankfully my partner speaks French, otherwise I would have been in trouble. The location did not feel safe or appropriate to my partner for a family stay (we had children with us). The balcony doors did not open from our bedrooms. There was only one common room to eat breakfast in to be shared with other guests. The breakfast was the same every day, I was missing some basic things (yogurt, fruit, veg). Transport options for daily trips via a private taxi were really expensive.
Inside garden Breakfast Hospitality
OMG…what an awesome riad. Close/walkable to all that Fes has to offer, including sights and restaurants. We were on the top floor with private terrace that had beautiful views. Highlight was the owner, Souad, who was always so gracious and sweet and gave superb recommendations for food. The courtyard was fantastic and a peaceful oasis from the hectic medina at the end of the day. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
Yousuf was an absolute gem and very helpful.
Breakfast adequate but not exciting !
Better clarification on access from nearest place to drop off from taxi
Ambience was magical
I just spent 3 weeks in Morocco and this was my favorite place I stayed on the entire trip. It’s beautiful! The beds were comfy compared to most others I slept on in Morocco. Couldn’t speak to breakfast bc the bed was so comfy I missed breakfast. It’s conveniently located a short walk away from the lively area of the Medina but far enough that it’s quiet. Yousef was a very helpful host.
People speaking in the courtyard could be heard very clearly from my room but I was so tired I mostly slept through it despite being a light sleeper. (Windows were open bc it was nice and cool outside but I could have closed them and turned on AC if I wanted.)
Just wonderful!
We had some problems with internet connectivity.
Beautiful internal grounds and wonderful architecture. The original details maintained, with mosaic flooring also on the steps. Wonderful, warm service and breakfast was good!! Two bedrooms were great , offering privacy for the teenage kids Great location for easy downhill access, deeper into the Medina. About 150m to the main road drop off point.
Spent only two nights there. We should have been longer !
Beautifully maintained Riad, loved the hospitality and breakfast
Staff spoke almost no English. Used Google translate to get by. The staff arranged for all excursions and transfers. However there was a significant commission involved in all these transactions.
Madame was very helpful, very welcoming, very friendly, very understanding. I enjoyed my stay very much! The cleaning person was very neat. Very beautiful house, amazing place, authentic. Best stay in Fez!

Beautiful riad inside the medina close to parking
Very welcoming riad, the lady who runs it helped us with maps, reservations and directions and made us feel very comfortable Lovely courtyard with a plunge pool
The room was comfortable and clean. The host was able to help us with everything we asked for; a driver for the day to visit Volubilis, reservations, dinner suggestions. She is very kind, sweet, and friendly!
Great and peaceful
Great hospitality! in the hart of Fes Medina. Owner and staff were very helpful every particular minute. They did everything to make our trip unforgettable. Highly recommend to everyone!
My friends and I stayed at this property. We had a nice check in from a friendly staff member. The room was big with lots of room and the central road area was beautiful. The tiling, garden and pool were beautiful! We ordered lunch and had it inside the riad and had some massages nearby. The staff were very friendly and more than happy to help make our stay relaxing. I would recommend this to all my friends wanting to stay in old town Fes.
We loved everything about Riad Le Sucrier De Fes. The owner Souad is wonderful to chat with, she was communicating with us before we arrived effectively which made getting to Riad easy and finding parking nearby too. The location is perfect as its not in the maze of Medina and its on the outer rim of the Medina. Parking is few hundred meters away and the walking to Riad is flat. The rooms are beautifully done with good quality of toiletries. It was cold and damp when we reached, there are heaters in the room which made the stay comfortable. Souad went out of her way to make us warm water and Moroccan tea upon arrival. The rooms are huge! In Morocco, not all Riads are well maintained, Riad Le Sucrier De Fes is one of the rare find. Breakfast was the best we had in Morocco with variety and quality of home cooked meal. Unlike most Riad's which have paid housekeeper, Souad's (owner) touch at this Riad made a huge difference. She is from Fes and speaks English so she shared so much with us that made our short stay memorable. We wish we had stayed a bit longer.
The toilet in one of our rooms was on a step that got a bit difficult to use. But that will not stop me to book this Riad again if I visit Fes in future.
good location in the medina. fantastic room, good size and lovely private terrace. welcoming staff. clean. lovely riad, very pretty.
restrictive breakfast times, before 8:30 did not seem to be possible. will arrange transfers and tours but they are overpriced and the tour was not very good
A charming building from the 30's that has been converted into a hotel. It has a lovely courtyard. It was pretty cold in Fes while we were there, so the roaring fireplace in the common room and the good heaters in our unit were welcome. The owner arranged for a walking tour. One benefit of the location; it's all downhill through the souks. Then you can hop in a cab and return to the riad.
Ottimo servizio, stanza grande e confortevoli. Bagni un po’ scomodo. Tutto sommato gradevole soggiorno.
The Riad is comfortable. The host is considerate and helpful.
Nice traditional riad with a good location within walking distance of the main areas of the Medina. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location and amazing Riad! Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care off. She organised us a guided tour through the Medina, that was amazing! The riad is beautiful, quiet and with a great location. We loved the breakfast, it was a great way to start the day! :)
You can hear the all the noises from outside of your bedroom is next to the street.
Beautiful Riad in the Andalusian style built around a century ago. Nice balcony with our room which was quite sizeable. Lovely staff led by a charming host/owner who was always on hand to assist.
You need to be able to handle steep stairs for the room with the balcony, but I guess that’s the price you pay for a view ! A small fridge in the room would have been very useful.
Staff and property was welcoming and wonderful
Laat uw auto buiten de medina staan, parkeren is chaos. Riad is orechtig met heerlijk ontbijt. Communicatie beste in Frans
Amazing location, very nice to chill at. Would recommend.
The breakfast is great. The owner made arrangements for us for aesthetics and was very helpful and supportive.
Unfortunately, the pool was not accessible.
Lovely peaceful Riad just inside the Medina, easy to find, close to good cafes
Nothing
Charming Riad (our third and penultimate experience of Riad on a 17 days trip across Morocco) and the most expensive; best marmalade for breakfast - option of soaking pool was nice Youssef was a star- I would give him 10 out of 10 alone
Relative to other Riads not highest attention to detail in terms of cleaning; and quality of breakfast but we were really spoilt elsewhere- Bathroom needs modernising; showering awkward without screens and bath use difficult without taps-
The terrace was fantastic
It rained in our room, the place was not so clean and there were flies in our orange juice
It is a magical riad with beautiful carved doors and ceramics. Huge rooms with high ceiling. Very kind owner.
The ceiling height was below 6ft and I had to duck in the rooms. Otherwise excellent place to stay.
Our host Soad was very friendly and gave utmost attention to making our stay pleasant as well as recommending places to eat. We particularly appreciated Youssef who helped us to take our bags to the last floor room on the terrace and was extremely helpful in getting the restaurants to send someone to pick us up as some restaurants are very hard to find.
The steps between the bedroom and bathroom are very dangerous especially in the middle of the night if you don’t remember where the light switch is. The curtains in the top level terrace room let the light in so make sure you have a mask. Lastly.. parking can be hazardous as the attendant, in our case, had us park in a place that blocked people from getting out of the house. Our car was keyed causing significant repaint cost. Make sure you ask Soad to verify where her parking attendant makes you park. The attendants just want your money and don’t necessarily work in your interest.

Beautiful, peaceful, elegant and relaxing
Nothing
I loved the quirky layout of the Riad, and the private rooftop terrace was fantastic! The room was a great size and very comfortable, and the inner courtyard was a nice place to relax.
The internet range was pretty poor and I couldn't get access in my room.
beautiful room and very nice hostess😃
An old riad. Close to the heart of the medina. Charming. The staff was helpful though language was a bit of a strain. Good suggestions for dinner. A nice, simple breakfast. Our rooom had a rooftop area with a wonderful view.
Lots of stairs - but of course, that is what you get in such an old rian. Not really a problem for us.
Beautiful old building with an enchanting courtyard. In short walking distance to the old souk. Large, very clean rooms with comfortable beds. Large bathroom with lots of very hot water. It is a very old building and not perfect, but that is why it is so incredibly charming. The host is extremely helpful and makes everything possible, even a meal at midnight. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this Riad highly.
The host was very welcoming and extremely helpful. making out stay a very happy one.
Nothing
Beautiful Riad just minutes from the Medina. Lovely owners who were so helpful and made us feel totally at home!
Stunning Riad with the most beautiful room and the hosts were amazing. Perfect location
Alles in allem definitiv empfehlenswert!
