Dirty room, with broken lamp on the floor. Tiny room with rubbish bed and hairs on blanket. Seemed as if they were from previous guests. Bathroom was upstairs with no toilet roll. Shower horrible, water coming out so slow. Complete disaster. Didn’t read the reviews otherwise never would have booked.

The price and the easy access to Totteham Stadium, the place was easy to reach and with an affordable price, facilities were basic nothing extraordinary.

Shower was broken, the room was next to a bus station which was noisy all night and in the morning. Blind was broken in the room and the owner refused to help fix it. Couldn’t watch the TV because the bracket was an angle you could only watch from the bathroom Floor was dirty, walls had mold on them and the place needed a good clean.

Filth on walls. check in codes were wrong and had to ring through to a different hotel check in desk 4/5 numbers for the hotel didn't work. broken blind in bedroom stuck open and tied into knot so couldn't change it, also broken mouldy blind in toilet and bed divan was broken. All in all a terrible hotel experience. every aspect of our stay was regrettable, we left as soon as we were able to in the morning. i would never stay here again.

Staff was nice and helpful when I arrived a little early because of a appointment I had. The bedsheets looked good and clean.

The entrance is horrible if you have big luggage. Narrow iron stairs. The rooms are old and dirty, as in desperate need of a paint job and renewal of windows and things. Smell not as bad as I expected from other reviews. I don't know how the bed was, I did not sleep there as I had a super early flight home so I left around 1am to have some air because of a heatwave. I was waiting for my taxi to come at 2am outside, under the iron staircase. There's a nice area to sit down, probably a backyard for the pub downstairs. (No noise came from the pub and seemed to have been closed that night) As I'm sitting there waiting and scrolling on my phone I regularly hear a water sound coming down a drain and ending up splashing on the ground about 3m away. I thought; what is that leak?..... stood up to check, found the drain and below it on the ground was a used tampon, realizing that it was flushed toilet water coming down the drain and splashing on the floor and leaking down a drain there!!! What!!!! Absolutely mind-blowing 🤢

At the booking it said there is a parking place coming with the reservation, but the hotel did not had a carpark, had to find something local for extra cost. Did not had email or sms text message with the entry details like room number, code to the room, etc. (Wasn't just me, other people who had reservation the same day couldn't access to their room either.) Finally after trying to call 4 different phone number, someone called me back and was able to get in to the room. The toilet was very dirty and the toilet seat was broken and the shower and the sink was dirty too. I had to clean myself if I wanted to use. The bed had a very old mattress with broken wires, was very uncomfortable. The room looked like it hasn't been cleaned for weeks. Overall it wasn't a good experience.

Great location and easy access to public services. Unfortunately that was the only thing good about our stay. Upon arrival we open the first door added the smell of mold is bad, when you go through the second door oh Holy god the smell is so bad it made me heave and we had to get through to the other door as quickly as possible.  (Massive damp stain and mould on the carpet) We get to our room and try the door code set to us and would not open tried this for about 15 minutes and kept barring us. Rang the number on the information sheet and a really nice fella helped us and gave us a completely different code which we then got into the room. First looks it seemed okay for the money paid, how very wrong of us to think. The bed is so low and ive never slept in a bed thay feels as if your being tortured, you can feel and hear every spring when you move, I actually went to sit on the bed and a sprin was protruding out thay I didnt see and it cut my leg, So that was great. And jesus the bathroom, my partner is 6.3 and had to hunch to brush his teeth, no curtains on window so everyone and there cat could see you, shower head doesn't stay upright you have to hold it to wash yourself and it was spraying from the nozzle and couldn't be tightened, it all so was clogged and kept over flowing so I had to wash my body and then let it drain out and then go back to wash my hair, wasn't clean as it hadn't been cleaned or the bins emptied from previous tenants.  So over all it was shite.

the room was extremely basic. it was hot and there was no fan to help cool the room down. the bathroom wasn't very clean and there were used toilet roll tubes on top of the cistern on arrival. this is not a biggie, but it's just a standard cleaning issue. the kettle was on the floor and not on the dressing table (still trying to work that one out!). we just needed a twin room for the night, so we got what we needed, but i felt the cleanliness and the general set up of the room could be improved on.

Hi I don't like anything from that hotel. It was no towels, very dirty my body start aching. Bed was so disgusting bed mattress it was completely damaged should be in the bin not in hotel, shower it was no curtains and dirt to the window which don't let you feel relax that's why we didn't use it at all, a lot of bugs, main entrance door for room doesn't locked, and we can't feel safe.

Un établissement déplorable. Très sale Pas de climatisation dans la chambre, le sommier était cassé, obligé de mettre le matelas parterre. Le personnel était pas disponible, pas assez de papier toilette. Impossible de dormir avant 2 à 3 h du matin parce qu’il avait une boîte de nuit en bas de notre chambre.

La télé ne fonctionnait pas et pas de réparation possible et pas moyen de changer de chambre. Le technicien devait passer mais on l’a jamais vu.

Absolutely nothing

When we arrived the gate from the street was wide open! We then walked up the exterior metal fire escape staircase (that was not mentioned in the description) to a 'fire door ' which was also open to all and sundry. So major fail on security. The room was grubby to say the least, the bed looked as if the duvet and pillows had been slept on! There was no soap in the shower room, the towels were threadbare and stiff, the sink was filthy and stained. The room was tiny & the only ventilation was the window which overlooked the main road and therefore when opened let in so much traffic noise and the bus station was opposite, so the noise level was intense. It was a very hot day and the heat in this tiny room was simply unbearable. We decided to leave immediately to seek alternative accommodation and found a new hotel, just a few minutes away which was cheaper than The Stag, air conditioned, spacious, clean with all of the amenities one could wish for. We were told by a local taxi driver that late into the evenings this area was well known for rowdy young people.

Close to where I needed to be...cheap....you get what you pay for.

Dirty..steps dangerous

The location was alright. It was between 2 train stations and was close to some shops, nice cafes, and fast food restaurants.

The room smelt damp and musty, there were no staff around during our stay. The room was dusty and dirty and the bed was so uncomfortable. The mattress was sloped and not flat, it was pushed right up to the radiator, which had no cover or guard, so I was constantly hitting it while also trying to avoid the windowsill that was head height and right next to me. The carpet was visibly unclean and dingy, the drawers were full of dust so you can't use them unless you want dirty clothes. The bathroom was very small, shower didn't have a consistent temperature and was constantly switching from scolding hot to freezing cold. The sink, may as well have not been there, it was so small you couldn't get a water bottle under the tap (which is the only water source in the room). The sink was cracked and dirty and the tap was full of limescale and mildew. It was a very unpleasant stay, my girlfriend and I could not wait to leave!

No human to contact. The room very basic. That is the second and last time that I will stay at the Stag, great location, no light shade and the bare bulb did not work.

The bed was broken and collapsed in the middle. The room was dirty and there was no heating. I booked a room with a private bathroom, but I was given a room without one. I do not recommend this place.

Sent messages to staff about the room, no replies. 'Private bathroom' is up the stairs in the attic - not as implied and if had been told, wouldn't have booked. Tele broken off the wall and leaning against the kettle & bit of wall on top of a broken dresser. Ceiling light bulbs not working, side light no bulb! Filthy chairs. Kettle no where near a socket Bed is so low, you have to roll to the side to get on/off. Mattress incredibly uncomfortable. Honestly not being fussy here - I'm used to budget rooms in shared houses! Ive even stayed here pkenty of time so know exactky what to expect- but this has been the worst room & experience in the many teams Ive stayed here. The noise outside the bus station is unbearable but they cant do anything about that - but what they can do, is reply to messages when asking to change rooms because the room is so bad & bathroom not practical.

The bed was old and very bad. I booked a room with a private bathroom, but I found the bathroom was shared, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable; it was even torn. There was no credibility in the details.

Blinds broken and didn’t shut out bus station opposite all night lights , futon style mattress on the floor , which at my age was very difficult to gut up from , no remote control to work the tv ! Privately bathroom a flight of stairs and past at least two other room , I don’t travel with a dressing gown and sleepers so having to get dressed to use the bathroom in middle of the night made it very stressful and not a pleasant stay at all

Der Aufenthalt war eine absolute Katastrophe. Im Zimmer gab es Schimmel, und der Teppichboden war alt sowie stark verschmutzt. Zudem mussten sich alle Gäste ein gemeinsames Bad und eine Toilette teilen, die sich ebenfalls in einem unhygienischen Zustand befanden und unangenehm rochen. Auch das Bett war in einem sehr schlechten Zustand – und das galt nicht nur für mein Zimmer, sondern auch für andere. Insgesamt war das gesamte Haus, einschließlich der Zimmer und Sanitäranlagen, dreckig und schimmelig. Darüber hinaus war es selbst nach Mitternacht noch sehr laut, sodass an erholsamen Schlaf nicht zu denken war.

If the pub was closed you would be locked out .Anyone could enter the hotel as the outer door lock system was removed and there is n reception and no staff

Asked manager downstairs a question as the out of hours phone number was just ringing. She was so rude it made me giggle. Put me off coming down to try a beer & made me very uncomfortable. Not sure if the bar & hotel are connected. So my negative comment isn’t about the hotel.

Location was close to the place I had to visit for work, sheets & toilet were clean at least.

It was dirty, there was a piece of chewed up gum on the windowsill, stains on the carpet, mold on the blind in the bathroom light didn’t work in the bathroom, furniture was disgusting.

There was a bus station right outside. There was a spring poking out of the bed. I asked for a private bathroom which was given to me, however the 'private' bathroom was one story up from my room with nothing more than a label to say it was my room, anyone could use it at anytime.
