The rooms were clean, of good size and comfortable. The kitchenette was well stocked. Pam and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was a great place to stay for a few days.

We had a wonderful experience at Aspen Court In Franz Josef. The location was perfect, well within walking distance of everything Franz Josef has to offer. The rooms were cozy and well equipped. We very much enjoyed relaxing in the room at the end of a long day and enjoying the lovely views. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for a night on our way to the west coast. The motel was a good one and while it sits on the edge of town, Franz Josef is very small, so everything is still within easy reach. Check-in was quick, friendly and hassle-free. We stayed in a one-bedroom studio that was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with a handy kitchenette. The bedding was excellent and luxurious. A standout feature was the private jacuzzi bath, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the glaciers and surrounding area. Our room didn't have mountain views but there were beautiful mountain vistas visible from the car park. The property doesn't have its own restaurant, but that wasn't an issue as the King Tiger restaurant is right next door and served everything we were looking for. Overall, its well located and one of the nicer places to stay in the area.

The location was excellent, our room was larger than expected, very comfortable and clean. The use of the communal laundry was an added bonus. The staff were all friendly, helpful and provided us with some great suggestions with what to do and where to eat.

The room is big. The kitchenware is quite completed. We found the rice cooker but no time to use it. The toilet is very bew and clean.

An excellent accommodation choice in Franz Josef managed by a friendly helpful team. The rooms are large, quiet and comfortable. We stayed in a one bedroom unit; in addition to the full-size (maybe queen) bed we had a twin bed in the main living area that would be ideal for a kid. Unit includes full kitchen with a Nespresso machine and fresh milk in the refrigerator. Aspen Court includes two washers and two dryers — very clean and inexpensive. If you like to send postcards, you can buy them at the nearby Visitor Center (and support NZ’s Dept of Conservation) and get stamps and mail your postcards at the town’s petrol station. One suggestion: having a lamp or two in the main living area would be a great addition. The ceiling light is a bit bright; we’d prefer softer lighting options. But overall Aspen Court was a great experience close to the FJ Glacier and other services. Highly recommended.

Really nice hotel in central Franz Josef. Rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchenette was great as was the shower. Very convenient to everything and can walk to many places. The bed was very comfortable. Fantastic place! Would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful stay! We arrived a bit early, in the rain, on our way from Greymouth to Queenstown. We were so pleased when we were able to check into our room. Thank you to the owners!!! Immaculately clean, lovely decor, a big king bed and single, great wifi and a working spa. A very short drive to a local supermarket and eating options close as well. I was so pleased with my choice - I would definitely stay here again if I were to be in Franz Josef. I highly recommend this property.

Rooms were very well appointed, clean, and everything you would expect. Appeared newly renovated. The fresh milk was a great touch. Quality of teas, coffees, etc., were excellent. Location was perfect and walking distance to everything in town. Landscaping gave the feeling that we were secluded. Greeting at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again.

The hotel is well located, with good parking facilities. Room was nice clean and spacious, the jacuzzi in the bathroom was great. Also an espresso machine in the room was great. The kitchenette was perfect to make breakfast. Overall we loved it. Pam is such a cheerful and helpful person

The property had basic things like tea, coffee and milk with clean linen.

The bathroom only has a curtain, as a result all the water splashes outside and can be quite slippery. Also, the rules and regulations are quite rigid especially about having cooking odours in the room if you intended to cook. It said you would have to pay additional charges which I thought was strange.

Fantastic stay. Check-in was so simple and easy. Very friendly. We love our room. So spacious and has everything anyone would need. Very quick walk to the restaurants and store. For the first night we walked to the grocery store and just bought snacks to eat so we can sit in the room and wind down from the drive. Definitely would stay again!

We had a 10 day trip to South Island commuting between location throughout our holiday. We rated Aspen Court one of our top 2 best accommodation during our stay! Comfy and clean and perfectly sized for my family of 3. Room is equipped with the right amenities! Free parking which is right outside our room.

This is a comfortable motel just on the edge of the main part of town. It's quiet but it's at most 5 minutes walk to everything in town. The kitchenette facilities are good for basic meals when you don't want to eat out.
