Food was excellent and plenty of
Nothing, it was perfect for our needs
Good location
Welcoming staff, room really nice and freshly cooked breakfast to order. Excellent experience, thank you
The room was comfortable. Staff were friendly and the restaurant food was good.
The view from the window was over a large, flat roof with debris and broken pots scattered across it. There were cooking fumes wafting into the room from the kitchen ventilation. We had to keep the window closed .
Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly service. Excellent evening meal and breakfast.
Clean, plenty of space, 7mins from town, massive bed, great breakfast, lots of options
Its was a brand new room. The only issue is that we only had one towl and the shower jittered when getting hot other than that fantastic
Great place to stay, comfy bed, great food and lovely staff. Wonder fruit salad available for breakfast.
Stairs to the rooms, but that is usual in some of the older buildings we have stayed in around the UK.
Lovely breakfast - couldn’t do enough for you so pleasant will definitely be returning
Nothing
Very welcoming place to stay. Plenty of friendly staff. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent pub food. Better than usual choice for breakfast. I will certainly stay here again.
Breakfast was excellent, location good
Position good as visiting Brignorth and NT properties/ museums around. Lots of parking. Very welcoming staff. Big light bedroom. Great wardrobe! Well cooked breakfast and evening pub food.
Nothing really. No dark beer which my husband especially likes but no problem.
Breakfast and Evening meal exceptional good staff would difinitely return
No Complaints
Lovely spacious bedroom with sitting area - bright open aspect. Easy parking at the side & rear Comfortable and pleasant dining areas
Beside quite a busy main road with no footpaths
Excellent, great variety in comfortable. Surrounding.
The attitude of the young female staff member

Sunday carvery is very popular, this caused ovecrowding
The staff were brilliant especially the lone lady at breakfast. Only had breakfast which was excellent
Bed was very creaky every time you moved which made it hard sleeping
All the staff were pleasant, welcoming and friendly. They were eager to accommodate needs and preferences. The food was plentiful, and delicious with great variety of choice. The Down Inn is a favourite with locals which speaks volumes. The prices were very reasonable. The beds were king-size and very comfortable. We stayed during a heatwave and although there was no air conditioning, every room was supplied with a fan. I would heartily recommend The Down Inn. 💯 percent.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Everything ok
Loved the room. Great decor, sitting area was great to have along with tea and coffee making. Bathroom was huge, staff were friendly. Fan in room for hot days was a nice touch.
Taps were on wrong way... kept getting soaked. I felt silly but kept doing it.
Spacious rooms, comfortable bed & bedding. Good shower. Generous breakfast and good variety on offer.
Good choice of food Friendly staff Super bedroom
The shower over the bath was not easy to manage and was too powerful
Excellent breakfast cooked fresh to order. A big choice everything you could want and delivered with a smile.
Liked everything.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized room with comfortable bed. At night it was very quiet and no light intrusion into room.
Lovely room. Pleasant staff. Lovely carvery & breakfast.
Value for money was exceptional. Lovely quiet area, and very comfortable room. The food was very good quality. The carvery was amazing as was the breakfast the following morning. There was a nice relaxed feel about the whole place.
Only small mention is the bathroom was a little tired and could do with a freshen up. Plus, the water pressure of the shower was extreme and difficult to manage adequately. Having said that, my back received a very good massage. But, this is just an observation.

Ideal location for the trip.
It met all requirements. It would have been good if drinking water had been provided in addition to tea/ coffee.
Clean and comfortable, very nice evening meal and good breakfasts, if anything to much choice!easy access to come and go as we pleased.
One niggle bathroom ceiling had mould which let the room down Shame there didn’t seem to be any walks from the property to avoid using the car, but good walk fairly close by.
Friendly staff and great food... Would definitely recommend and would Definitely stay again if visiting the area.

Sadly it was the carvery the beef was dry The breakfast was good but the bacon was also very dry.
Excellent accommodation, good food and superb staff.😊
The entire stay was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. The meals were delicious. I particularly liked the soup.
Nothing.
Breakfast, room, price. The room was large. Spacious, the bathroom was excellent.
Very hot room (on a very hot day), water was scalding and should have had warning in bathroom. Nothing more to add...
Great breakfast Staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Good size room Large spotless bathroom. Decided to stay and extra night and were given a discount.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
Friendly accomodating staff, lovely comfortable bedroom
Clean, comfortable and friendly. Spacious rooms, nicely furnished. Excellent breakfast, good menu offered in restaurant.

All excellent
This seems a strange thing to complain about, but on my second evening the main course at dinner was far more than I could eat! It was called an "open beef sandwich" and I thought "sandwich" implied a light meal. I had to leave about 3/4 of it, which I was sorry about as it was excellent. Maybe the menu should clarify what's meant by "sandwich".
Rooms clean bright and spacious staff great friendly and knowledgeable restaurant has a great and varied menu something for everyone food excellent quiet location in countryside Large free car park
Nothing to mention
Well positioned, very pleasant staff, excellent breakfast
Large spacious clean room. Comfortable bed nice and quiet, so had a good nights sleep. breakfast was sumptuous. The waitress in the morning was brilliant. She really looked after us, an absolute credit to the Down Inn.
All was good.
Unfortunately we arrived when it was super hot so as soon as we where shown to our room the heat hit us they did have a fan which wasn't any good as it just circled the hot air If they had thought a head and closed the curtains it might have made it slightly better I appreciate that the building is old which I liked but as soon as anyone walked on the bathroom floor it made a terrible noise so hence we didn't sleep.
Lovely big comfortable room with a view of the countryside. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

We have stayed at this property on a number of previous occasions and have always found it to be one of the best for accommodation and food. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
All was fine.
Independent run hotel with pub and restaurant Large csrpark
Room was brilliant, food excellent and staff were superb.
Best breakfast ever
The Down Inn is absolutely beautiful, great location. This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel and I will definitely go back again. The bedrooms are very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food in the restaurant is homemade, very tasty and plentiful.

The room, staff customer service, location, food.
Nothing
Food was of good quality and ample in quantity. Plenty of parking space. Very helpful and cheery staff
We were not given a room near our friends although my booking was for both rooms. New rooms are much bigger and better appointed than others. Some rooms situated in the front of the hotel facing directly onto the busy main road. Noisy at night. Bar and eating areas need a facelift.
A really nice olde worlde style pub. Lovely food, plenty of choice on main menu or carvery. 2 large , very nice room with lovely countryside side views and lovely breakfast the following morning. Really enjoyed my stay here.
Nothing
Very comfortable plenty of parking well furnished rooms. Really good food menu and would definitely come again.
Nothing to dislike.
Easy to find, access and room size and clean. Food menu good.
Nothing on this visit
The Down Inn was excellent - clean, comfortable and very friendly staff. Lovely food and definitely value for money. I had a meeting in Bridgnorth and it was only a short drive away. The Inn was in lovely countryside and very quiet at night.
Nothing
The location is great, plenty of parking, not too far from Bridgenorth, friendly staff, good food etc Liana our breakfast server deserves a special thank you, nothing too much trouble and just like last year a cheerful face.
The only thing to be aware of, and this only applies to some people, is that the bath is quite hard to get into. They do have an accessible room so if you think this might be a problem would suggest you request this room. As I said most people would not have a problem.
The Breakfast was excellent
The shower blasted you with cold water before you could turn it to the hot position then you had to turn it to the cold position to turn it off.
Room 8 was really spacious and the bed and linen were exceptionally comfortable. There was a bath and shower, which is rare nowadays. The paintings and furniture gave the room an old world charm. The cooked breakfast was delicious and there were lots of other breakfast options too. Plentiful parking spaces. All the staff were friendly and helpful. £90 per night for a spacious room and breakfast is very good value, particularly for a bank holiday weekend.
Can't think of anything.
Traditional pub with nice, large rooms which were very clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location, full of character. Spacious bedroom , spotlessly clean, great food and really friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent
Nothing
Good-size room, excellent breakfast, good evening meal menu & food.
The mattress has seen better days, it was somewhat uneven. After my wife had a bath the shower was not as warm as it should have been for me and our friends in the next room.
Great breakfast.
All good
Location, big clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, lovely breakfast
The pub area wasn’t very comfortable to sit at and relax
Amazing break away from home. Staff were helpful, friendly, and very accommodating. The food was delicious, and the surroundings were so peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely recommend it to all.

Comfortable. Lovely surroundings. Staff friendly . Food excellent
There is nothing to not like
Our first time visiting the down inn and we weren't disappointed. Surrounded by fields and very tranquil.the staff were very pleasant and welcoming.our room was very clean and comfy and warm with good tv and Internet signal and a nice view of the countryside the beds were comfy and we had a good nights sleep.. A good selection of menu options We opted for the carvery which was very tasty and great value for money. The atmosphere around the bar/restaurant was very relaxing not to noisy or to quite. The breakfast was outstanding maybe the best I've had in a pub we opted for the full English but were lots of other options available. Cereals/fruits/yogurts/jams/juices/ and more all included in the price (£81 for bed and breakfast on a bank holiday BARGAIN) Overall for a last minute night away on a Bank Holiday Monday couldn't of wished for more and already looking to book again for a few nights next time give the place a try you won't be disappointed.
Honestly their wasn't anything to dislike apart from not booking more nights.
Very clean room and comfortable room. Staff were very happy to help. Good was lovely and good value for money.
Decore was dated
Clean and comfortable within easy reach of Bridgenorth. Calvary food option was very good. Breakfast was very nice.👍
Nothing to dislike. Decore is a little oldie worldie.
Lady at breakfast was a great personality, which started the day well. Breakfast was exactly what we ordered.
Nothing really. I do prefer a separate shower but the one over the bath was good, so no problem apart from my own leg limits.
The breakfast was lovely and the waitress was delightful. Bed and pillows were comfortable and facilities like hairdryer etc were great.
The bathroom size was small. I am heavily pregnant so shutting the door to be able to access the loo required me almost to lean into the bath. But it is an old building so perhaps I should have asked for a more accessible bathroom in my booking.
Remote property with plenty of parking.
Rear door to car park can be difficult to latch closed. Sounds like an extractor fan left running over night.
Everything!
TV was a bit small and not a lot of accessible channels
Easy to find and lovely welcome.
Nothing
Friendly staff and lovely breakfast
Friendly staff, comfortable room. Very good value
Room 7 bathroom small and difficult to get in there. Door hits toilet. Would suggest taking door off and just have door from lobby as your access to bathroom
We stayed at the Down Inn at least 10 years ago and were pleased to find it was still as good as we remembered - very clean and comfortable. Lovely atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Good food reasonably priced. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. An excellent stay.
Nothing!
Lovely breakfast cooked to order.
Lovley comftable bed great bathroom the carvery is excellent breakfast 👍 OK eggs benediction ( to vinegar for us) Fried breakfast is fried traditional all round good breakfast
Eggs Benediction to vinegary To greasy cooking on the breakfast for me..
The location was great staff very friendly and had a great breakfast

Stayed in Room 5. Was worried about the sound of an extract or ductwork in the wall, but it turned off about 10.00, or 10.30. Possibly the extract from the kitchen? Last dinner orders were 8.30, so it was a very nice quiet place to stay, before an early start and a long day the next day. Dinner and breakfast were great, as was the service for both. Everything was very clean, and I had the best nights sleep I've had for a long time. I'll definitely stay here again, when I'm next in the area for work.
Nothing!
The room was very nice clean warm and spacious the staff very friendly. The evening meal was very good as well as the breakfast. An excellent stay will go again.
Nothing.
Friendliness of the staff and a warm and homely environment. Food was good and reasonably priced. Parking on site is always a bonus.
TV controller did not change channels and no on demand services. Shower screen was awkward when trying to turn the shower on and off.
Absolutely amazing time staying here, I have used a lot of hotels and this one hands down is the best. Room was big and facilities was very clean. Nice touch with tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Nice big towels and complementary soaps and shampoo. Staff could not be more friendly and inviting. Breakfast was beyond expectations with a vast majority to choose from. Again staff could not help you more and made sure we had a good stay. Definitely using theses again.
Nothing it was absolutely amazing!
Friendly service. Good food selection. Definitely stay again if we stop in Bridgnorth.
Lovely large bedroom and welcoming staff, had a great nights sleep

The Down Inn is a beautiful traditional inn, with partial wood panelling, very cosy ,with 2 open fires, very warming. The room was a very good size, very comfortable, clean ,with a lovely view of sheep from our window. The food ,including breakfast was very good, served promptly. Very quiet peaceful location, you do need a car to get around. Every member of staff was extremely pleasant, kind & welcoming, went the extra mile to accommodate us. We would definitely visit again.
Nothing
The room was comfortable and the ambiance of the bar and restaurant area was pleasant. Breakfast and service was good. Powerful shower. Scenic view from room. Comfortable bed.
We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were all very lovely and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and we enjoyed our evening meal and delicious breakfast.
Clean, comfortable & every one friendly
Lovely place to stay room was nice size very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent best carvery had for a very long time and good breakfast. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything. Would love to stay again and will definitely be back for another meal. It was a birthday treat couldn't think of nicer place to stay for a short break.

The staff were so friendly
The room was large and well appointed and we spent a very comfortable night. The breakfast was excellent and was served by a very chirpy young lady who looked after us very well.
Great friendly and helpful staff Luvleh country pub in a peaceful area Great food, no complaints
All good
This is our forth over night stay at The Down Inn. The Inn is out of town with a large park area. The rooms are large and well furnished. Access to the bedroom corridor from the bar is by a flight of stairs and from the car park is by a steel emergency style (short) flight of stairs. A very good choice of food and friendly staff. What’s not to like?
