Brilliant stay, out of the ordinary experience in the UFO, but if wary of ladders perhaps stay in a different room, can't take big bags in just a rucksack with essentials

Helt fantastiskt! Vi bodde i dragonfly, 4 personer och vi hade gott om plats , rent o snyggt! Utsikten är fantastisk, sängarna sköna o allt var rent o fräscht!

This hotel is obviously unique – rooms are small tree houses designed by well-known architects. I have been wanting to go there for years but couldn’t realize plans until now. My friend and I booked 6 months in advance and then came Covid and we had the entire place to ourselves. Some handle the pandemic smart, others abdicate and Tree Hotel seems to belong to the latter category. Before arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed but no alternatives were provided (we brought camping stove and Bollinger). Breakfast was handed to us at check-in in a bag but was insufficient and like a cheap airplane breakfast). We stayed in the Mirror Cube and it was great. But everything was covered in a layer of dust, windows were green with algae and one mirror underneath the cube was missing. Being the only guests we looked at all the other tree houses and most need freshening up – a loose plank here and there, paint fainting. I usually only write reviews when I am satisfied (…) but coming here was disappointing and considering the price tag Tree Hotel needs to do better. Much better.

Den var jättebra, vi bodde i The Cube. Var dock inte förberedd på att det var förbränningstoalett. Det enda som saknades var en tv på rummet, hade varit mycket uppskattat.

We stayed at the Mirrorcube. It was awesome. Comfortable bed, floorheating, quiet, beatiful soroundings, I loved the bridge up to the cube. Very good food, we had both dinner and breakfast. Hearlty recommended.

Incroyable hôtel au milieu de la nature ! Une expérience inoubliable

Beautiful accommodation in the forest. Many unique and comfortable cabins to choose from. The service and atmosphere is top notch. We stayed in the “cabin” and “blue cone” and really enjoyed the views from both. We origanlly booked the ufo and changed to the blue cone since it offered much better views.

Underbart hotell och trevlig personal.

En unik plats med genuina intryck av natur, svensk tradition och stillhet. Maten med lokala råvaror men modernt snitt höll högsta klass och var väl komponerade med bra viner till. Servicen var bra av trevlig personal som var genuint intresserad av dig, samt att du hade en bra vistelse. Rummen är unika och insprängda i den svenska vildmarken med sin rofull tystnad, vilda djur och skön natur. Den unika designen av rummen/stugorna kombineras bra med enkel och rustik finish för att ge viss kojkänsla i vildmarken och att det inte skall upplevas artificiellt.

Et fantastisk personale som gjør oppholdet til en glede. Nydelig mat basert på lokale råvarer . Vi bodde på the mirrorcube og hadde en flott og annerledes opplevelse. Dette må oppleves!

Häftig upplevelse och god mat

Prepare to be bedazzled... We were warmly greeted by Maja in the Guest house who explained the basics about our stay. Walking up the pathway towards our room, we met Kent, the owner, clearing snow from the path. Entering the birch forest was magical as the daylight gently filtered through the trees. The first tree house we came upon was the Cabin, more beautiful than imagined. It was sheer delight as he stumbled upon all these magnificent feet of architecture. The Mirrorcube, our final destination, was camouflaged by the forest reflections and surpassed all of our expectations. The cube’s minimalistic interior was exquisitely designed to maximize the efficiency of space. Be aware of young aliens descending from the UFO next door wanting to see how the locals live inside the invisible cube! Sebastian, the chef, is an incredible asset to the Tree Hotel. His arctic char main course was outstanding from the remarkable presentation to delectable taste. He was diligent in making sure my unusual allergies were not present in any ingredients and made creative alternatives as needed, while remaining true to his fresh and locally designed menu. His professionalism was greatly appreciated. Be sure to book the Tree Sauna 2.5 hours before dinner. It is an unique private relaxing experience that we would highly recommend to all. We look forward to our return to the Tree Hotel in the Land of the Midnight Sun!

Transport to and from the hotel was quite expensive so we ended up renting a car. We stayed in the Mirrorcube and both the sunset and sunrise could be seen from our window in, which was absolutely stunning with a view over the treetops. Only disappointment was the dinner, we paid extra to have a two course dinner and it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The portions were quite small as well. We greatly enjoyed taking photos of the outside of each of the buildings as they really are marvelous. If you have the money, as it can be quite pricey, I would recommend a night here for the atmosphere.

It was an amazing holiday for us.. The only thing for the transfer from airport to or from the hotel was very expensive even if you share the car with others you dont know is the same price not the half..

"The Cabin" is like staying on the second floor of a nice hotel -- with some aspects of camping. It is close to a major roadway, but you walk 5 to 10 minutes through snow (your luggage is delivered), walk up a long ramp, and climb down a wide ladder to access the room. One wall is glass and there are wide windows looking out on beautiful snow-covered trees, but the path and buildings are always lighted, so it is more the feeling of a hotel than of being suspended in a dark forest. The bed is comfortable, and there are refrigerator, coffee maker, etc., but the toilet is the type that uses paper bags and burns waste after each use, and shower is in another building. There is a balcony (actually the roof) that is probably lovely in warmer weather, the other "rooms" are very creative, and there are saunas and activities available for extra fees. The Tree Hotel is a novel experience, but we have had other novel experiences (igloos, caves, cabins) that, for us, were more value for the money.

A totally relaxing experience. Good food, clean and unique rooms, wonderful and hospitable staff and a lot of adventure/ activities to choose from!

Highlight of our Sweden travel. Very unique rooms. Stayed at the Bird’s Nest and the Dragonfly. Beautiful hotel with the best staff! Plenty of activities to do or just hang around your room to rest. Great tasting food as well! We had the reindeer steak and it was fabulous! Special mention to Mia, who was very hospitable and warm! We left very relaxed and rejuvenated! The forest was healing to the mind and body! Will definitely come back with our kids next time, I’m sure they will love the place the same way we did!

The treehotel is truly a magical place for both kids and adults! Each room is a revelation and do try and stay at a couple of diff rooms so that you get to experience as many of the diff structures as possible! It's really indescribable ! Some are like living in a real tree house and some are luxury living suspended from the trees with amazing views. The food at brittas pensionne is hearty and delicious. The surroundings are perfect for long walks or mountain biking. Just perfect to soak in the nature. Do make a trip - we went in the summertime but I hear winter is fantastic too !!

Nous avons passé 5 nuits dans cette hôtel; une dans le mirrorcube et ensuite on nous a proposé le blue cone; plus grand et plus confortable. le personnel est très gentil et accueillant, les plats sont excellents et cuisinés avec des produits frais et locaux (viande de renne, d'élan, et poisson local avec des fruits rouges... merci chef Sebastian !) , la vue dans les arbres est magnifique; bref, une expérience qu'on conseille a tous ceux qui cherche la nature et le calme. Nous avions une voiture de location et avons visité le parc naturel Muddus, et les villes Jokkmokk, Lulea et Pitea. Et il y avait pas mal de rennes et de cerfs sur la route E45 vers Jokkmokk qui se baladaient parfois au milieu de la route. Le "moose safari" avec Mike était aussi une belle aventure, et on avait la chance de voir deux élans.

We stayed at Tree Hotel for three nights and each night we spent at a different room. The experience was amazing. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional and Britta and Ken really made you feel like at home.

The experience was amazing and very unique. The hotel itself is quite isolated, but that was exactly what we were after.

Fantastisk! Vi bodde i The Cabin, underbar utsikt. Hotellet är verkligen värt en resa. Unik upplevelse med naturen som granne. Britta som driver hotellet är en super härlig, ödmjuk kvinna som lagar god mat. Härlig frukost med hemmagjorda sylter, juice, pannkakor och allt annat som kan önskas. Rekommenderas starkt!

Supertrevlig personal och vänligt/familjärt mottagande. Väldigt god mat, helt perfekt att fira jubilarer, som vi i detta fall gjorde. En mycket speciell upplevelse att få bo bland fåglar och andra djur i skogen, högt uppe bland träden!

森のなかにあるツリーハウス。バードネストに泊まったが外見はステキだけど内部は狭めで普通。インテリアは北欧のセンスがひかりステキだった。とにかく部屋の出入りの度にはしごを出し入れして登り降りするという苦労がある。森の中なのでスーツケースは持っていけず車に置いてゆきバックパックに宿泊分だけの着替えを入れて部屋まで行く。一つものすごくネガティブな事は７月とにかく蚊が多い。巨大でアグレシブ。スプレイなどは全く効かず 私達は頭からネットを被り部屋まで猛ダッシュ。すごく疲れた。行く際は蚊のいない時期をオススメする。’ 食事は部屋から徒歩５分ほどのメインオフィスなどがある洋館へ。オーナーの奥様手作りの朝ごはん、夜ごはん共に 素晴らしかった。凝ったものではないが素材も良く、新鮮。日本人の私達の口にも合うお料理だった。オーナーご夫婦や小さなホテルのため世界各地から来たゲストたちと食事の際に色々な事を話したり、情報を交換しあったりと楽しい時間を過ごせこのようなアットホームな雰囲気もこのホテルの魅力だと思う。

Our stay here was perfect. Rooms fantastic and novelty value is brilliant. The children really enjoyed the UFO experience - but who wouldn't?!

This place is amazing. Such a great experience and fun place. We stayed in the cabin and loved it. We choose this room for the views it offered and its room top balcony. The other room are amazing too. The hosts Britta and Ken were lovely and helpful in recommending places to visit during the day. The home cooked dinner and breakfast were fantastic after eating so many restaurant meals. Who doesn't love home cooking. Defiantly a favourite hotel

É diferente. Legal para conhecer. Mas não espere muito conforto. Recomendo levar uma mala de mão pequena com as coisas essenciais para uma noite pois da recepção ao quarto são uns10 minutos de caminhada na mata com subida e cheio de pernilongos... Se puder deixar as malas no carro ou na casa principal da recepção, melhor. Os quartos têm banheiro ecológico, sem agua, por isso não tem chuveiro. O banho é num quarto ao lado onde também tem a sauna. O vaso sanitário tb sem agua, e uma garrafa de agua na pia para lavar o rosto e escovar os dentes. É longe da cidade, entao o jantar é servido na casa principal da recepção. Um jantar bem caseiro, bom, mas não excepcional. Café da manhã muito bom. Caro. Vale conhecer pelo visual diferente de ver os quartos nas árvores.

A complete unique experience staying in the UFO treehouse was amazing . We were lucky enough to have snow which made the experience even more amazing. The husky sledging was brilliant.

Kanonbra. Uppfyllde helt klart förväntningarna och personalen är väldigt inställda på att skapa en hemtrevlig atmosfär.

The cabin was so cluttered with faux-1950s memorabilia there was no room for our luggage and there was no hanging space for clothes. Two wardrobe spaces/cupboards were filled with plumbing and cleaning detritus. There was not enough hot water for two people to shower. An electric kettle was provided, but the cord would only reach the socket when the kettle was on the floor. The socket was hanging off the wall. Pre-booked the room but it was not ready for us although we arrived after 4pm. - The breakfast was excellent and the beds comfortable. I think the owners are resting on their reputation - which is not up to scratch.
