The Bay an Uga Experience - Pasikuda

The resort is simply beautiful! The view is stunning, the staff is friendly and helpful and the food is next level! We really enjoyed our stay there.

It really depends what you want, if you are happy to spend your days in a resort, relaxing with a bit of Watersport options then this is perfect. If you prefer to wander the streets, explore we don’t think Pasikuda is for you. Behind those gates it looks very different. And we would have appreciated a little more entertainment, like more yoga or other classes, maybe some evening program on certain days but again it is beautiful and perfect to relax, eat and be by the ocean

Tout!!!! L'hotel est magnifiquement situé sur la sublime plage de passikudah. Le personnel est aux petits soin. Le buffet et petit dej délicieux.

Eventuellement la piscine qui n'est pas du tout profonde, mais c'est vraiment'pour dire quelque chose tellement nous avons aime cet hotel

Die Anlage selbst ist sehr sauber und schön angelegt. Es gibt einen Pool, ein kleines Spa mit zwei Behandlungskabinen und eine direkte Strandlage. Die Wege innerhalb der Anlage sind angenehm kurz. Der Strand ist feinsandig und sehr sauber. Das Meer ist an dieser Stelle ausgesprochen seicht – man kann viele Meter ins Wasser hineinlaufen, bevor es wirklich tiefer wird. Bei unserem Aufenthalt gab es nur leichten Wellengang, sodass das Baden auch für Kinder sehr angenehm war. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich auch die medizinische Betreuung. Als unsere Tochter am Sonntagabend erkrankte, wurde innerhalb von nur etwa 45 Minuten ein Arzt gemeinsam mit zwei Krankenschwestern und den benötigten Medikamenten ins Hotel organisiert. Eine wirklich schnelle und unkomplizierte Hilfe, für die wir sehr dankbar waren.

- food at the buffet was very average, very dry. - long service - we didn’t have the opportunity to do any tours, it’s not easy to know what we can do. - housekeeping at night had no sense: the person was always coming when we were about to go to sleep, and he couldn’t change his time.

Everything was perfect starting from the check in till check out, the room is spacious, the team is so helpful, the beach is so clean, the breakfast was delicious, the dinner was amazing, the weather added some magic too ;)

A beautiful resort with wonderful facilities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend this facility that has access to a calm and beautiful beach.

We only stayed one night and should have planned more.

2nd visit and never disappoints. Absolutely perfect stay. First class in every way.

We enjoyed our stay in Uga Bay, the hotel is cozy and gives a nostalgic vibe. The facilities are well maintained and food was good. Also, there are nice water activities to try.

Great for families, beautiful calm beach just a stone’s throw from the terraces, good sized pool and walking distance to a few local seafood restaurants. Food at the hotel was also very tasty and good value.

We had an issue with hot water but it got fixed as soon as we reported it.

Expensive but you get what you pay for. Even the maintenance team and cleaners are unbelievably helpful and friendly.

A beautiful beachside resort with fantastic facilities. Lovely comfortable rooms with a balcony overlooking the beach. Excellent restaurant and bar area. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach and a lovely big swimming pool.

The staff were amazing! Everyone was so kind, welcoming and accomodating! The rooms, views and amenities were extraordinary!

Would’ve preferred if the costs were in rupees or at least had the service charges and taxes included in prices. We also found the lady who seemed to be the manager a little too forthcoming with wanting us to spend money and visibly showed disappointed when we went elsewhere for dinner.

Все отлично. Даже не к чему придраться. Был в начале января. Уборка в номере 3 раза в день, все чистое, персонал вежливый. Месторасположение отличное, пляж чистый и вся береговая линия тоже. Отличное место для отдыха - рекомендую!

The location on Pasekuddah beach was perfect. Probably the nicest beach I have been on. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

The dining experience apart from at the pool bar was very average. We didn’t come full board or all inclusive . The choice of wine was limited ( stock) and more expensive that other 5star hotels in Sri Lanka

Located on absolutely beautiful beach. Amazing to swim in sea here. Deckchairs and pool bar. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food good in all areas.

Everything perfect except the dining experience. Didn’t really fit with calibre of hotel and the idyllic setting. Plastic Coke and water bottles on most tables. For us personally musical entertainment throughout dinner seemed inappropriate for the location. Wine prices very high for Sri Lanka 5 star hotel.

Außerordentlicher Service. Wir sind viel unterwegs aber ein derartig engagierter Service ist uns selten begegnet. Die Anlage ist top gepflegt und bestens organisiert. Die Lage am Strand ist fantastisch. Spa ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Dass wir nach 3 Nächten wieder abreisen mussten. Will heißen eigentlich nichts. Man muss wissen dass sich zu allen Preisen noch Service und Tax addieren, aber das ist eigentlich überall in Sri Lanka so und kein Manko des Hotels. Für Party People ungeeignet, da es weit und breit kein Angebot gibt, aber unter anderem deshalb lieben wir das Hotel.

Très bel établissement avec beaucoup d’atouts : chambres spacieuses, très confortables et bien insonorisées, plage absolument magnifique, piscine agréable, plusieurs bars à disposition, salle de jeux très bien équipée, spa et massage très correct, bref un hôtel très agréable ! En plus de cela, mention spéciale pour le format buffet du restaurant principal (à un prix très correct) qui proposait matin et soir des mets d’une grande qualité a laquelle pour être honnêtes nous ne nous attendions pas - bravo à l’ensemble du personnel car le service était en plus impeccable et non moins sympathique !

Rapport qualité / prix un peu déséquilibré et décoration qui commence à dater un peu… mais tout en restant très propre et confortable

The whole place was lovely, the accommodation was great and the food was amazing.

Food. I had some issue after the buffet and got sick next day but staff handled it beautifully and brought doctor in. That being said we were still charged, which is fine but a small gesture would have been nice since I had a day of my holidays taken away and few days for me to recover and eat again normally.

Without question, the best location in Pasikuda. The hotel itself is gorgeous, built & maintained to a very high standard. The greeting on arrival is very special. The room was very spacious & comfortable. The pool is great, long - c 25m & very clean. The beach area is spotless, comfortable loungers with parasols. You walk straight into the beautiful sea (not true of other hotels in the bay, where rocks etc would obscure your walking / swimming ability). The beach bar & food was great (salads wonderful). We did the dining experience in the sand (seafood, yum!) & the catamaran trip - both highly recommended. Photo below of the dining.

The prices are reasonable - but be aware NET of 10% service charge & 18% VAT - in that order - so c 30% higher than the price you read! Service was, in the main, very good - however on regular occasions finger bowls, napkins etc missing / delayed.

From Welcome to departure, all was very fine. Very clean rooms, very delicious food and nice beach.

It was clean, well maintained and the service was impeccable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The chef cooked new styles of curries for us everyday. The beach is very clean and beautiful.

Definitely an expensive luxury experience but a wonderful one. Everything was done with a lot of thought about the experience, amazing breakfast beach and gym. Loved the place

Perfect location and very clean rooms. I’ve stayed at Anantaya resort before but I preferred Uga Bay.

After 5 days of 3 meals per day, the menu was restricted.

Our whole experience was welcoming from our check in to check out. The service from the front desk, to the laundry and dining in was perfect.

The location of the hotel is perfect and the beach in front of the hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly, helpful and very thoughtful in every manner. The staff were paying attention to everything small thing which was very impressive. Special thanks goes to Mr Dammika the Manager for organising everything so well and also Mr Munas for his excellent service.

Everything about the resort was really amazing. Very spacious and spotless rooms /chalets with very clean spacious bathrooms. Very warm and friendly staff with such hospitality. Checking in constant to see if the guests are comfortable or if need any assistance with anything. Spectra views of the sea and the design of the resort is amazing. Beach is perfect and really clean with the softest sand. Rooms /chalets are serviced lightly in the evening as well.

The property is on a gorgeous stretch of beach with fine sand and a calm, warm ocean. The hotel itself and rooms are beautifully designed and maintained and spotlessly clean. The best part was the staff, which were so friendly, kind, and attentive. I also highly recommend the spa - the masseuse worked magic on my sore back and shoulder. I never wanted to leave!

The hotel is fantastic, stunning rooms, lovely beach and swimming pool. Munas, in the main restaurant, always welcomed us with a smile and was very attentive and caring.

-Our card was double charged as they took full payment for a separate booking for several days that was cancelled within the free of charge period. The money has now been refunded but that can ruin someone' s holiday iif you are counting of that money. - the area is extremely remote, there is nothing to do outside the hotel so it would be nice to have some sort of entertainment in the hotel sometimes. - the food was great but the food choice a la carte was very limited, if you are not an all inclusive customer ( their manu varied daily). - mini bar prices are totally crazy ( a chocolate bar 10 dollars).

We loved everything about the Uga Bay. Great beach and pool. Our bungalow was just next to the beach and it was very quiet. Service was exceptional. Breakfast buffet was the best we had so far. They even had fresh crispy bread (only time in Sri Lanka we had that). We only booked B&B and had dinner every night at the bar. The food was great and we could have dinner whenever we were ready and did not have to wait until 7.30pm (with a kid that is always a great option). The prices were really reasonable. The staff was amazing and always very helpful. We could even get a late check out.

Uga Bay is a gorgeous place. The beach is paradise, the staff are fantastic and the food is very good and pretty varied. Would definitely recommend!

The only tiny criticism I have is that I'd assumed incorrectly that the spa had facilities like a steam room/sauna/relaxation space etc. In fact, the spa is just a couple of treatment rooms- though one of the best massages I've ever had so can't complain!!

As we booked through booking.com it was just bed and breakfast - most people seemed to be full board - we could pay 40 USD to join their buffet or have a la carte (this seemed to still be cheaper than booking direct but I could be wrong) - the a la carte was very limited by night 6 (but they kindly let us order from the room service menu which had some different stuff on) most staff were really lovely

Amazing place ! Room was right in front of the beach and had some amazing pool as well as a bar next to the beach! The staff is Great !! Loved it from the time entering till the exit ! The dinner with chairs and table made of sand digging and the dinner was amazing experience I had !! Truly made my day!! Must try on this is a unique experience only this resort offers! The beach is amazing feels like a river the sand is steady and very very safe to swim around as you can literally walk far away without the water going deep.

We stayed at Uga Bay for one night on the way between Trinco and Arugam Bay. The hotel is very luxurious, located in a beautiful secluded setting overlooking white golden beaches with clear blue water. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful, the food/cocktails were delicious and atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Perfect for a quiet romantic getaway - highly recommend!!

Dinner on the beach was unique, pricey but unique.

Great White sand beach, really awesome place for Scuba diving it has reefs and wrecks. The food and service was impeccable.

Wonderful three days with the family. Staff very kind. Usually don’t like buffet meals but they grew on us. Our sunrise snorkel trip arranged by the hotel was amazing.

We stayed at Uga Bay for 6 nights and had the most wonderul stay. The staff are fantastic and the buffet dinner is delicious.
