The lady at the reception was not friendly at all when asked about the Breakfeast. It is her job to be friendly and courteous to the guests. It is a repeat task for her to explain how the hotel and restaurant works, but this is her job.

The room was quite small and very noisy. There was a horrible fight in the middle of the night, which was extremely disturbing. Overall, I didn’t feel safe or comfortable during my stay.

There was nothing to not like

Lovely location, right in the center of town with all the restaurants and bars, and short distance from the beach. Rooms were good a keeping the noise out as well so I was never disturbed. The balcony with the jacuzzi was super nice with the view. Staff were super accommodating and have a storage room with bathroom where I could leave my stuff and change for the beach when I got in before my room was ready.

Air conditioning in our room took a while to cool the room down. Location for some reason was hard to reach by multiple Ubers and I had to walk up to a different part of the street to catch them.

Não possui anti ruído nas portas fazendo com que escutássemos as pessoas em outros quartos. Não tem chuveiro no banheiro e a luz é péssima. O banho é com chuveirinho. O espaço entre a cama e a parede é muito pequeno, sendo difícil para passar para o outro lado.

Hotel molto centrale, per il nostro stile di vacanze decisamente troppo, l’hotel è nel pieno del casino della movida e la notte si fa fatica a dormire anche se le finestre isolano molto.

Tamanho do quarto brm grande, localização, o restaurante Ricco e o RoofTop com jacuzzi. E os funcionários todos muito gentils.

As toalhas muito ruins/velhas, a pia do banheiro um pouco entupida e sem espaço para colocar a necessaire e o ar condicionado não funcionava.

The central location was fantastic. The hotel decor was beautiful.

At nearly £200 per night you would expect more than a broom cupboard sized room (101). The bed was like sleeping on a mortuary slab.

Location was amazing, right in the centre of town, lots of bars and restaurants and the beach within walking distance.

The rooms weren’t comfortable, we were in a room that smelled really bad, we asked to be moved which we were, but in the second room the air C didn’t work, we were to tired to ask to be moved again so we decided to just stay in and let reception know when we checked out. Wouldn’t stay again.

pulizia pessima. Si limitavano a fare il letto e cambiare gli asciugami. Il water lo pulivo da solo, La doccia ( tra l'altro ostruita) era sempre piena Di terra del mare. La stanza era troppo piccola e molto datata. Il set di cortesia ( caffe) nom è stato mai rifornito in 5 giorni e le tazze si limitavano a pulirme nel lavandino ( le ho trovate sporche spesso)

Pequeno almoço bem servido, em ambiente acolhedor e com serviço atencioso. Boa localização, sendo a proximidade da praia uma das suas grandes vantagens no nosso caso, em especial.

Very central to everything , very clean and spacious , with good air conditioning . The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help you if needed. Breakfast had a good variety of buffet food . Housekeepers were very thorough with their cleaning . Even though on weekend there was a lot of loud music and young people below the balcony , once you close the doors , you cannot hear anything . I enjoyed people watching on the balcony so it was a ideal spot for me and will definitely be returning .

Les chambres sont très anciennes et peu confortables, et le rapport qualité-prix est hallucinant. Une odeur d’égout dans la chambre est tout simplement inadmissible. C’est vraiment dommage de constater que la même énergie et le même soin n’ont visiblement pas été consacrés à la conception et à la rénovation des chambres qu’à la terrasse ou au restaurant, qui sont pourtant très réussis

A lovely, welcoming place in a very central location. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The luggage storage was particularly useful, as it allowed us to leave our bags there while we waited for our room to be ready.

Unfortunately, as the room overlooks the main street where all the nightlife is, there was quite a lot of noise with the window open. With the window closed, it was obviously much quieter.

Hotel Baltum — A Serious Safety Failure Beautiful hotel, incredible location, and unfortunately, a very serious safety issue that completely changed our experience. Our family had two rooms next to each other at Hotel Baltum in Albufeira. Our 16- and 18-year-old daughters were staying in the adjoining room, and we made sure to use the extra lock on their door because we believed they were safe and secure. At approximately 3:45 a.m., a group of young British men entered our daughters’ room. Thankfully, once they realized there were people inside, they immediately apologized and told us that the front desk had given them room keys to that room. We were extremely shaken and concerned about what could have happened, particularly because our daughters were alone in the room. We spoke with the front desk the following morning, and they apologized. We also tried to speak directly with the manager, but the manager was unable to come out and speak with us. What made the situation even more disappointing was the response from the hotel’s reservation representative, who came out and offered us two free drinks as compensation. Two free drinks. How is that an acceptable response to a major hotel security failure involving two teenage girls? The hotel itself is gorgeous and the location is fantastic, but none of that matters if guests cannot trust that their room is secure. Giving another group of guests keys that allow them to enter an occupied room is an extremely serious safety concern. We expected accountability, a meaningful explanation of how this happened, and reassurance about what the hotel would do to ensure it could never happen again. Instead, we were offered two drinks. We are sharing this because other families—especially those travelling with teenagers—deserve to know about our experience. Beautiful hotel. Incredible location. But after this experience, we cannot recommend Hotel Baltum because we simply cannot overlook such a serious safety issue.

La proximité avec la plage et les restaurants est un atout, tout se fait à pied. La chambre était propre et bien équipée, la literie confortable

La chambre manquait d'un petit frigo pour nos bouteilles. Mais surtout le bruit a été un enfer, non seulement les établissements musique à fond jusqu'à 4h du matin, les gens qui crient, dans l'hôtel les portes qui claquent à 2h du matin, les gens saouls qui tambourinent aux portes en hurlant. Pour la tranquillité ce n'est pas le bon endroit et peut-être étions-nous mal placés

L’emplacement est super en plein centre de la vieille ville, la mer n’est pas loin. Les réceptionnistes étaient super adorable et très gentils. Le petit déjeuner parfait. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel 😍

Le bruit car j’étais au premier étage et on entendais tout ce qui se passait dehors mais cela ne me dérangeait pas plus que ça.

Ottima posizione. La spiaggia dista 5 minuti a piedi e c'è sia quella libera che a pagamento che costa 21€ tutto il giorno altrimenti in coppia 14 meta giornata. Personale gentile e disponibile. Se si vuole aggiungere la colazione costa €12 a persona al giorno. Non particolarmente ricca ma buona. Nella via è stracolmo di ristoranti di ogni genere e tipo. Nella stanza NON c'era il bidet.

Das Hotel ist stilistisch schön und modern, das Hotelpersonal super nett und der Weg zum Strand kurz. Auch zur Partymeile ist es nicht weit. Man ist mit diesem Hotel mittendrin. Auch wenn die Fenster den meisten Teil der Lautstärke draußen halten empfiehlt es sich Ohropax mitzubringen.

Beim Frühstück hätte ein wenig Variation nicht geschadet. Die Qualität der angebotenen Lebensmittel war aber einwandfrei.

Pena de muitos funcionários não me entendem eu sou portuguesa e já que estamos en Portugal deviam falar português. O Jacuzzi estava muito suja a água.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und ist nah am Strand. Eine tolle Mitarbeiter hat uns immer zu gewunken und gefragt wie es uns geht.

Wir hatten ein Standard Zimmer, jedoch konnte man sich im Zimmer gar nicht bewegen, da es so klein war. Das Bad war sehr alt und kaputt, die Handtücher waren auch sehr alt und ausgefranst. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, wir haben jedes Gespräch vom Empfang mitgehört. ( das Zimmer war im 1 Stock und das Empfang im EG) nicht den Preis wert den man zahlt.

Charging 2.5 euro to rent towel is a bit cheap. Hotel can afford to lend towels to guests for beach. Rate more than covers it.

Posizione comoda perché sei a due passi dalla spiaggia e a due passi dai locali centralissimi , gentilezza del personale (una ragazza in particolare è stata molto gentile)

Stanza piccola, sporca e non insonorizzata, se camminano o salgono le scale del corridoio, è come se stessero passando per la camera (dipende anche dalla posizione della camera sicuramente). Parere personale non vale i soldi spesi.

Bathroom sink too small. They should provide water bottles for the room. In spite of the reminder, they did not. There is no excuse for that when it was requested end of the day from the room.

I booked one superior room but all rooms were standard

The receptionist was very rude and unpleasant when checking in, There was an awful lot of noise from other guests on the last night and the night staff did absolutely nothing about it after ringing them multiple times complaining the other guests were having a party on the landing and the staff completely dismissed my complaint about this and laughed when I was checking out and asked why nothing was done about people causing a disturbance. I will not be returning here

Great location within minutes walk of the bars and beach. The roof top sun / bar area is lovely with modern furniture and good facilities. Rooms are basic but very clean.

The room had a coffee pod machine but they weren’t replaced every day and we only had 2 teabags and no milk. A mini fridge in the room would be helpful. Guests are coming in very late / early hours as it is a party town so either join in or take ear plugs!

Friendly staff, clean room, nice rooftop bar, central location looking down the main strip of the old town, beach very close.

Noisy at night with the activity outside, has to be expected with the location. If you want to sleep early, maybe a different location would be better. No offence to the hotel and it's staff intended.

Top Lage, Zentral, nähe der Action bei der Partymeile in der Altstadt. Tolle Dachterasse, nur schade dass die bar auf dem rooftop nur bis 20 Uhr aufhat und dann der komplette Bereich auf dem Rooftop schließt. Und toll mit dem Jacuzzi auf dem Rooftop! Aber an sich insgesamt super für den Preis!

Leider waren das waschbecken und die dusche etwas verstopft und die dusche ließ sich nicht ganz schließen weil ein Teil fehlte für den schließmechanismus. Könnte aber auch sein dass es Zufall war dass es nur unser Zimmer betraf. Und wir haben keinen Schalter für die Badezimmerlüftung gefunden. Wer es laut mag sollte auch nicht hingehen, da es nachts aufgrung der Partymeile leut ist, aber wir wussten es, daher war es ok für uns und mit Ohrenstöpseln klappt es super, dafür ist die Lage ja dann auch zentral :)

Right on main strip of albuferia literally no walking nice 2 sit out on the balcony in the evenings. Had triple grazed doors so couldn't hear much noise in the room. Very clean resturant was lovely below had breakfast and lunch there. Shower was lovely with plenty of toiletries ect.

I asked the girl on reception for a room for the night she said there was none available.. fair enough however I managed to book a room online no problem. The issue was when I returned to check in another couple asked for a room for the night and the girl gave them a room no problem???

We asked for them to fix a constant water noise on the toilet, they tried, no sucess. Irritating noise for 4 nights, made it a nightmare to sleep. Beds not comfortable either. If youre not partying don't come over, pubs noise are unbearable

Fantastic hotel in heart of old town. Been staying here since 2014. Only hotel I will stay in. Clean, comfortable, well maintained and exceptional staff. Close to everything. Rooms serviced daily.

sehr zentrale Lage, freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gut ausgestattet. Vielleicht etwas klein aber für uns hat es gereicht.

Man kann kaum schlafen weil die Partymeile sehr laut ist (da kann das Hotel nichts dafür). Ich fand es trotzdem cool dort zu übernachten. Leider ist der Kaffee schrecklich aber das Frühstück ist sonst okey.

Great hotel,great location. The staff here are exceptional, there was a girl that worked on reception and apologies for not remembering her name, she wore glasses with her hair tied back, she was amazing and thanks again for everything you and all the staff did.

Excellent location right in the old town of Albufeira, close to restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. Very convenient for walking everywhere without needing taxis. Modern and clean rooms compared with many older hotels in the area. Friendly staff and easy check-in experience. Nice rooftop area with good views. Good value for the price, especially for short stays. Close to nightlife, which many visitors enjoy for atmosphere and entertainment. Some people also mention they like: The beach being only a few minutes away. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast options nearby. The main negative comments are usually: Noise at night because it is in the busy centre.

Some common things guests did not like about Hotel Baltum are: facing the street. Small bathrooms or compact rooms in some parts of the hotel. No easy parking nearby, which can be stressful with luggage or a rental car. Busy tourist area, so it may feel crowded in summer. Some guests felt the air conditioning was not strong enough during very hot days. Light sleepers sometimes found it difficult to rest because the old town stays active late at night. People who prefer quiet relaxing resorts sometimes do not enjoy the location, but visitors wanting nightlife, beach access and walking distance to everything usually rate it positively.

Went to stay in Albuferia for 4 nights.Stayed at the Balthum.Wonderful clean modern hotel.Roofntop bar a bonus but closes atn6pm sharp...what a waste..as still so warm up there.Plus wonderful friendly barman.Lovely comfy seats and jacuzzi and met lovely people. Couldn't fault the hotel.We had breakfast only once in Ricco s €12pp.Hot selection was very poor with runny scrambled egg and no signs to say you could ask for anything different at hot counter.The food wasn't hot enough and I was afraid of food poisoning as no temps shown on heaters.. maybe a microwave would be a improvement.Or order as you eat another good idea... Reason I never came again for breakfast and as most people I met on rooftop staying in hotel said the exactly the same to me about the breakfast .So we.werent the only ones wanting hot breakfast buffet.⁰

I have to put a special mention in for one of the receptionists 'Rafael' whose customer service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for him. A great asset to the hotel. Although the hotel was in the old town the noise wasn't too bad at all, I would suggest that this was down to good double glazing. I would highly recommend. This is my third stay at this hotel and will return later this year.

I was only asking if I could request a late check out as we weren't flying until 10pm. I didn't get her name as she barely lifted her head up to engage in conversation with me. The hotel is always clean, staff are friendly and it’s in the centre of the ‘Old town’ so perfectly placed. The roof terrace is modern with plenty of comfy seats, sun loungers and a bar along with a hot tub with a sea view.

Very central and staff friendly. Room abit on small side but meets your needs. Rooms kept clean. A bit more info needed on arrival as weren't told you get 30% discount in Ricco restaurant (which has lovely food and reasonably priced)being a resident.

Frühstück gab es im benachbarten Restaurant Ricco mit hochgradig unmotiviertem und nicht freundlichem Personal. Dort nicht wohlgefühlt.

La chambre et la salle de bain n'était pas propre. Les serviettes de bains avec des tâches de dessus et le siège de toilette n'était pas propre. Il y avait aussi des poils dans le lavabo dès notre arrivée.
