Decent for one night. Would not want to stay for an extended time
DO NOT STAY. We got to our room and immediately booked a different place. Pictures are not real. The large room was about a quarter of the size. I feel like expedia should not allow this listi g.
Clean room.
Good location and price for a 1-2 nights stay and friendly staff. However there’s no lifts and the property is quite old and run down inside
There was no hot water in our bathroom. The toilet smelled and there were mysterious stains that made it hard to know how clean it was. It was generally very noisy. The beds looked clean enough, creaky, but the standard I would expect from a hostel.
Ok
Excellent stay ...great area !!
Decent place. Very convenient to restaurant and public transportation
I refuse to check in after seeing the room . This Hostel/Apartment Has no Airconditioner and has not provided any Standing Fan in June hot weather . They Provided me 4th floor room for my family has no elevator/lift in the Building with wooden and uneven circular stairs anyone understand my situation, no support from rhe front desk manager . I booked for 3 days but I was try to check out same day but refused to refund my balance . I complained to expedia about my refund and emailed to the property manager but no updaes from them . I will not recommend this for families with kids . Goodluck .
I did not get for what i paid, (specifically a/c in the room, it was broke). Next day they granted us a new room and gave us a room with no a/c again. I demand a full refund of the reservation billed in my account for being cheated by the property owner/operator
Good location. Shower in room was broken. Shower in bathroom on my floor was broken.
Hotels.com should do better job to classify the hotels you put on the platform, it’s not a hotel, it’s like a old school dorms, the facilities are very old and there’s no elevator, only the pro is close to the metro station, the rating on Hotels.com is misleading.
This was the worst experience of my life, that i would regret and never forget. I missed to check reviews while booking as i was in hurry. Later on found but couldn't cancel as it was non refundable. If you combine all previous negative reviews then its correct picture. We got room at 6 15 while checkin time was 3 pm. Cleaning staff uses some pungent chemical for cleaning all surfaces. Same smell in washroom water. Washrooms are tiny and horrible. There are pratically no facilities at all. Shared kitchen is a false claim. Scary narrow stair case. 6 floors and no lift. The photos are entirely wrong. I have never experienced such wrong rating and photos at hotel.com before. There should be an action to ask the owner to provide correct photos and give correct rating. It should be 1.
Nice place to stay.
The room needs improvement
The room was clean but it had an overwhelming smell of paint and/or bleach. It was not the room in the picture. The hostel receptionist was kind.
The woman working the front desk in the mornings is very pleasant. However, the man working at night and overnight was very rude and unwelcoming. The rooms are also outdated and there was mold in the bathroom. You get what you pay for and I recommend just spending the extra money to stay in a better place.
Nothing to add
We got a room which did NOT look anything like advertised online (Expedia)!! Room was freezing cold, holes in the walls and ceiling, dirty floor and the bathroom. There was description that the rooms are on different floors with no lift. The room which we were given was actually on the 2nd floor- NO LIFT- we were carrying 6 suitcases (2 adults and 2 teenage kids for a moths trip around Europe). When I went downstairs to rise my concern about the room I was told to email the manager- it was 10PM!! At the end we had to stay in that freezing cold room for a night (3 degrees Celsia) and the next day we got a different room on the 4th floor - NO LIFT!!- but at least it was warm. I would never recommend that hotel.
It is a good option in Paris. Close to a metro station and with access to bus routes. Good breakfast and comfortable rooms. The bathroom wasn't smelling well, probably because it's old.
Conveniently located, but place needs a bit of attention. Pictures are definitely from a while ago as place would need some cleaning and repairs which if photos were more recent would be evident (bathroom walls had ++ mold, handrail in stairwell is broken off the wall between first and second floor, pain chipped in many places). Also there is limited air circulation (when we arrived our room was ++ musty / damp, no air fan in bathroom, could not get heater / air conditionner to work, so aired out the room via the windows which helped significantly, but still far from ideal).
It’s a very depressing hostel. With the same amount of money you paid for a private room here, you could have found a decent hotel not too far from Montmartre.
Stayed three nights at the end of a family tour through Northern Europe. A decent, basic place to stay at the base of Montmartre and near two metro stations. Bedroom was spacious and clean. No enclosure for shower meant water went absolutely everywhere and there was evidence of water damage and potential mould in bathroom.
Wonderful atea safe and very good to eat cheaply. Hostel is very basic but clean and accurate. Close to metro. Easy walk to guard de Nord. We were there for Olympics do extremely handy for stade fe France. We paid well over it's worth but it was the Olympics.
The room was nothing like it was shown in Expedia. The room was dirty with blood stains on the floor and wall. The floor was sticky. The sheets and towels had stains. Had to get them replaced. There's no AC which is fine, but no fan either. Our room was on a busy street with a street light right outside. We had to keep the windows open to let some air in without a fan, but the noise made it hard to get any sleep. The door lock didn't work, so everytime we needed to go to the room, somebody from the front desk had to open it for us. Only one outlet in the room worked. Even though they said the room was non smoking, I could feel smoke. Overall a terrible nights stay. Would avoid at all costs.
A very pleasant stay
My aunt and family stayed at this hotel with 3 big luggages. No lift facilities and still made them stay on the 6th floor. Considering there was a kid and heavy luggages.
The room was huge, with two double beds, and a big bathroom with walk in shower. We were very comfortable, but the air conditioning wouldn't turn on so the room was a little hot. Also, storage was in the form of small lockers that needed coins to use - we didn't need them because we stayed just one night, but if we had stayed longer storage would have been good.
All good
The property was somewhat rundown, not just old, but a bit neglected. The location was very convenient, minutes away from the Metro. It was easy to get to the featured places on foot or by public transportation. Based on the location we got our monies worth.
This hostel/hotel was located in a great neighborhood, walkable to many restaurants and shops and to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart (15 minutes and a lot of stairs though!). The lodging itself was a good value for the price but things were rather worn in our room, the mattress was quite uncomfortable, and there were mold and ants in the bathroom. There are stairs to the rooms. We were only there to sleep so if I could get a more comfortable mattress, I’d stay here again. Sheets and bedding were clean. Breakfast was not a good value. We were able to compile a delicious breakfast for three from local bakeries and supermarkets for less than the cost of breakfast for one at the hostel.
Great, charming spot to stay! Not quite in Mortmarte neighbourhood, but very easy/quick walk will bring you there- and you have views of the Sacre Cour from your window! Clean and bright. Loved that there was (paid) laundry to get us caught up. Take note there is no lift so you’ll be climbing multiple flights of stairs to your room, but we thought that was just part of the Parisian charm.
The location was quiet and felt safe. The rooms were basic and not quite like the photos. Beds were comfy and rooms were warm. Breakfast was OK.
All their rooms had bed bugs or were booked and they turned us away in the night to find a place to stay elsewhere with no help in getting a refund
Very Expensive for a cheap hotel
Not as attractive as advertised
great location in Montmartre near jules jofrin metro stop. lots of cafes, bakeries, stores within walking distance. no elevator. no a/c.
If you are looking for a clean affordable stay in Paris, this is it. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a hostel not a Five Star Resort. But what it does, it does well. We really enjoyed our stay here.
It was a hostel which it wasn’t clearly stated in the expedia listing. Pictures look better that the real room. It was clean and staff was nice and helpful, but very old property, the room and beds are small and the card key had to be magnetized after each use. It wasn’t too bad but not what I was expecting based on the expedia listing. However, the location is very good.
We were told to leave the room key when we left the hotel, that was unexpected. It was a place to sleep and nothing else.
The pictures are probably 20 years old.. The property is clearly not maintained and I probably the worst of all, you can hear people in the other rooms as well as if they were sleeping in your room! This is not worse the price! Don’t even try breakfast, there are plenty of options around and even go up to Sacre coeur for a croissant and a coffee with a view instead! The staff was clearly not liking this place either
This is a great and affordable place to stay! Lot’s if native families stayed here so it meets all the basic needs. It’s a ten minute walk up the hill to Sacre Coeur and the best view of the city day or night. Staff is friendly and helpful with anything you need.
I was in the 6th floor we need more amenities tv, chairs, breakfast was very poor
I had I good experience, the room was clean, I shared the room with 3 other girls so that was nice cause I felt comfortable in that way, the price is low so I couldn't ask for More, also they have a cafeteria with FREE coffee and chocolate, and free juice, there's no elevator but that's ok again the price is very low so I understand that they don't have an elevator :)
An amazing location with adequate conditions. Quite clean with friendly, helpful staff. Perfect in terms of price-quality ratio.
Very friendly, welcoming and helping staff. Had a relaxed, pleasant stay. meeting with an international crowd of travellers. Easily accessible by metro and other forms of public transport.
Great atmosphere, however rooms very small. A toaster in the communal area would be great and is normal for hostels. Safe and clean however which are my main priorities.
It's got a great location, but the bed was just inches from the next one and there is no privacy curtain. The shower unit was tiny. The place is not clean, there was all sorts of trash under my bed. The biggest problem though is noise, you can hear everything from the other rooms, people talking, having sex and the constant sound of footsteps as people go up and down the old creaky wooden staircase. I picked the place for the location, which you cannot fault, but for the money, the hostel could be a lot better. There is nowhere to stash you things in the room apart from on your bed, and no lockers in the room either. Check in staff were wonderful, but the guy doing the checkout was a total disaster as he worked incredibly slowly even though there were lots of people wanting to depart.
My stay was very short, so I didn't get to take advantage of every amenity. Unfortunately, in my room, there was only one outlet (that I could find) between the other occupant and myself, so I had to charge my phone in a different room. Other than that, it was great for the 5 hours I stayed.
I will not recommend this place , no elevator , staff not so friendly
It was a nice hostel with a metro station close by an very close to th Sacre Coure 15 minutes walk
Good Reception staff were very friendly . Good breakfast Bad: Had a quilt which had blood stains in it.. Odd checkin time ( 3pm) Altogether it was fine...
Este amplasata într-un cartier celebru, dar este galagie si nu tw cazează mai devreme de ora 14
This is a hostel that offers "family rooms" which are comfortable and well equipped with appropriate amenities. I would however, recommend that any family coming from overseas request a room that does not have windows opening on the courtyard. As this is a hostel there are many young people that congregate and chat in the courtyard well past the 10 pm curfew, and the noise bounces off the stone walls into the windows several floors up. The staff dealt with this issue multiple times and were very kind. Nevertheless, I would not recommend putting a family in a room with windows opening on the courtyard.
The bed is comfortable and linen is very cleann including towels. Air condition that works. Friendly reception.
The location is very close to the Sacre Cœur and a metro station.
We had a beautiful view from our balcony of Sacred Couer. The people were very nice and our adult children each had their own bed. The stairs tothe fifth floor were tough.
The people were fun and the facilities were good! Julie, Marina, and Loredana were great! There is a lot to do near there.
I have booked in this place I attended late night they transfer me to another place in not safe area I scared to be robbed peoples are so dangerous
It was a great location and great size room for a family of 4. Nice shared kitchen/dining area and the kids love the foosball. Plus, the front desk was always very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have maybe a couch in the room and there was nowhere to hang up clothes or put them away in the room, so we had to live out of the suitcase. Just a few FYIs, there is no elevator. Our family room was on the 5th floor and we had to walk up and down the stairs, so keep that in mind. There were nice, big windows, but really no air conditioning in the room and it was busy outside so to get a breeze, be prepared for noise. But a perfect location for getting all over Paris and many places to eat and shop around. Plus, two metro lines and bus access. Overall, great for the price.
Worst expiernce in. All of europe. Beds hard as a rock. No working facilities. No qualified or educated staff. And hostel is in a very ran down dangerous and hostile part of paris. Please dont stay here. I have been to 38 europe countries and i have never felt more terrified or uncomfortable til this place
+Staff is awesome -Breakfast is disappointing and expensive - common spaces are pretty small - toilets and showers and also quite small
The location is excellent, the place is very clean, the staff friendly & the wifi worked well; it is very good value for money. The downside is there is no elevator, which makes the 3rd floor daunting. Also, since it is a hostel, it tends to attract the younger crowd & they can get noisy at times. The hairdryer & safe did not work, though one can borrow a hairdryer.
The communal space was really nicely presented and I like the little touches of the map in the kitchen and the bookshelf in the lobby. Really helpful friendly staff and great location
I stayed at a 4-beds female dorm for one night. The room was very clean and spacious. It actually was partitioned into two rooms, with two beds in each. The hostel is located within 10 minutes walking distance to the Sacred Heart Basilica, and metro station is only two minutes away.
The check in was fast , I like the fact that u can cook your own meal as there is a kitchen and kettle for making hot drinks.. The staffs was helpful especially Julie. They all speak English. I would stay there again when I visit Paris.
I was looking For an hotel this was a hostel. Not a good place to go with family There was no elevator and we got a room in the 6th floor. Suposedly there was housekeeping but they didn’t clean our room. And at checkout we had to take to the Front desk our sheets and towels. The area is not nice at all The staf at the Front desk were very friendly tho.
That picture is a 6th floor room and building has no elevator. Was not easy for us.beside that it was good clean twin room. Hotel location is very good. Resturant coffee and convenience store all within walking distance. Staff was very helpful. Additional paid breakfast could have been more attractive if it included toast and eggs.
Very nice staff and the room was really comfortable and cute. Maybe some customers should understand that after midnight people could be sleeping and avoiding to speak loud coming back in their room, but this is not a staff responsibility. I just did not appreciate the shower, too narrow and very uncomfortable for short people because it was impossible to modify the direction of the water. I really appreciated the ambience of the hostel, mainly the downstairs, where it was possible to read, eat and having a drink all listening very good music. I really enjoyed this :)
The hostel was fine - quite basic but in a great location so would have been OK value for money. However, we were kept awake all three nights of our stay. There was a dorm room opposite ours where the guests had parties every night. These at least finished at a decent time the second two nights. However, I was generally kept awake by an Irish man swearing and shouting abuse at his friends from the stairs outside my room. Fortunately my daughter sleeps well but I felt extremely guilty for exposing her to this. To be fair to the staff, they said that had I complained at the time, they would have done more to help, and did appear to have intervened when other guests complained. However, I could not recommend this hostel to other families. It's probably better for young people wanting to party. Although it's saddening that young people would rather stay in shouting and swearing at each other all night than go out and experience the nightlife in a wonderful city when they have the youth and freedom to do so
Very good location near metro line and a couple of attractions. The room was basic, bathroom was very small but clean. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything that's going on so we had trouble sleeping.
Location is good, but the room and staff could be much better.
The room we were given is nowhere closer to the room in the picture of our booking. The room is old and hasn't been maintained. However, our biggest complain is that a mouse came to our room! . That sums up the level of cleaning and maintenance of the place. However, the reception staff was very good.
The hostel is really nice but it was extremely noisy and our safe didn’t work. We asked for it to be fixed but it never was.
the hostel is well located, close to subway and bus station. but it was a bad experience for me in the last day of my Eurotrip. the room is VERY SMALL for 6 beds, any little noise can wakes the other guests. I needed to wake up at 4:30 in the morning to leave Paris, but I preferred not to sleep to have to wake up my roommates with the noise of my alarmclock, I think I did the prudent thing with them. But this hostel was terrible for me, I paid for something that I couldn't sleep. The worst experience in Europe, expensive (I paid less for better hotels in other cities of Europe) small and bad reception.
A characteristicically Parisian style and location.
The hostel was an ok value for the money. The walls are thin (thankfully I had ear plugs, my travel companion was not so lucky). It could be cleaner. But the loction was really close to metro line 12. Good budget place to stay and nothing more.
Amazing staff!! Far from city centre but it is right by a metro stop. Not enough outlets in the room and there are no lockers.
The steps to third floor was very bad. The staff were kind and good.
Good experience over all
Only stayed for 1 night and that was more than enough. Not clean, no pillow case and no towels. Smelly and bed structure not very safe. But it has AC!
the room although small was nice, even had A/C. The bathroom was, how'd you say Petit" When sitting on the potty you had the door handle in your left ear & your chin in the sink, handy if you were sick,LOL The shower was new with plenty hot water but hard to maneuver in the 2 ft. square shower. All in all, the staff was excellent. We were very satisfied.
This location is excellent. It is minutes from the 12 and 4 line and numerous buses come close. The rooms are a little small, and there are only one washer and dryer. Overall this place worked perfectly for my week in Paris.
Very good hostel, Alisa receptionist very good person and very helpful, she will help your need. Hostel close to most of sites seeing. Walking very convenient.
Nice place. NEEDS MORE POWER OUTLETS! It’s 2018 6peole in a room is going to need more than two accessible powers points and one so high you can plug anything into. Other than that, it’s nice. Room was clean bathroom okay, bed comfortable. Nothing wow, but nice.
Room was clean, beds weren't that comfortable though. Bathroom/showers were small and and smelled BUT they were always clean. As far as hostels go this one would be hard to beat! Loved how they had a kitchen and lounge area to hang out in!
First off it's in a good location, but that's practically the only thing this place has going for it. And if you're looking for something central, this isn't the place. Rude staff, the beds were extremely squeaky, the bathroom smelled awful even after being "cleaned" multiple times. It was an extremely budget hostel for a not very budget price.
Great location and price.
No power point near my upper deck bed. No lift to bring luggage up, stairway was really narrow. Room was bare and outraged walls. Bathroom has no shower head, water was just spurting out from a hole. Got bitten by bedbugs. Blanket wasn't comfortable.
It's very clean, convenient and the staffs are very friendly. It's nice that they have adaptor available at the reception for 6 euro, which saved my phone. The 6 bed room only has three power sockets. Maybe plug board can be provided to meet the requirement.
Great place, clean and safe. Would have liked to have a cell phone charger by each bed (there are multiple electricity ports in the room) and a locker for luggage (there are safe lockers for free in the main room). Luckily, it is okay we did not have a locker for luggage bc everyone in our room was great and leaves your stuff alone. Free wifi is great. It is a hostel, so don't expect a luxury hotel. That being said, it's clean, safe and next door to a nice cafe and in a safe area and down the block from the metro stop. It was easy to find. If you're looking for Paris on a budget stay here, I would recommend it and go back.
I stayed in a shared dorm, ground floor, room #1. It was spacious with a sink in room. Bathrooms through the courtyard, which despite being cleaned daily, some how were trashed in the evening. Staff was wonderful. However, the cleanliness of the room could also be addressed. In one corner, I’m 99% sure there was some sort of mold growing on the walls. Benefits, you’ll meet tons of people, close to metro lines and Sacre Coeur and located in Montmartre area.
Facilities are relatively in good shape. Breakfast good. WiFi speed satisfactory. Should have more charging in the room. Other guests from other rooms can be noisy at night.
Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Comfortable bed. Loved that there was an elevator. The chocolate croissants were fresh baked every morning.
The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the location is great. Rooms are a little smaller than other hostels I've stayed in but not cramped. There was no hand soap in the attached bathroom, which I thought was odd. It's in a great location, minutes from the Sacre-Couer basilica and the M12 Metro. Lots of little bakeries and places to eat and shop around. About 15-30 minutes to the Champs-Elysees by metro. Unlike other hostels I've stayed in, there weren't generally a lot of people hanging out downstairs. It was kind of hard to find people to party with. Overall I'd definitely still recommend staying here, it was lovely. But you'd probably enjoy it more if you're not traveling solo.
Room was nice size, there are 2 common toilets for shared dorm which is smelly and not nice, 2 showers are next to toilet, very clean but tiny. Front desk is okay, they just work (if you ask something they will answer but not welcoming or smiling at all)
I could make some friends and lots of nice memory.
First time....good experience.
The Hostel has excellent, helpful and friendly staff. The staff gave excellent recommendations of where to go and how to get there. Although, not located in Central Paris the Hostel is located in the Montmartre region which is steeped n history itself. There is plenty to do with great views of the city of Paris. MThe hostel also does not have a elevator, but how many do?
