Tout ,le bungalow est très basique,vieux et les lits extrêmement durs et inconfortables, rien à voir avec les photos aucune rénovation,aucune information ou conseils du fonctionnement de cet endroit,les propriétaires sont antipathiques et impossible de discuter avec la propriétaire,on est parti avant la fin du séjour,on a perdu de l argent malheureusement mais on les dérangeait pour tout,une serviette ,un surmatelas,aucune envie de prendre un petit déjeuner chez eux à 8h30 sans nous donner le tarif ,les petits déjeuners en Thaïlande ne sont pas aussi tard et vu l' ambiance aucune envie de consommer quoique ce soit chez eux ,on est loin de l accueil et la gentillesse des Thaïlandais,je ne savais pas que cet endroit était pas tenu par des italiens qui d habitude sont adorables aussi,on a l habitude de voyager en Thaïlande et ils sont adorables, efficaces et souriants , là bas rien n allait ,les étoiles correspondant à cet endroit vieux et vestustes ,les transats ne sont pas propres et repeints et l ambiance est lourde ,peu de personnes restaient y manger et on comprend pourquoi. On partait toute la journée pour visiter et heureusement , impossible de revenir avec plaisir,on a écourter le séjour de 4 jours au lieu d une semaine, des notre arrivée je voulais déjà partir mais le logement avait été réglé,j ai demandé un surmatelas vu la dureté du matelas le matin et le soir en rentrant rien n avait été fait ,l endroit était calme et peu de monde et la propriétaire faisait ses mots croisés, quand on lui a demandé si le surmatelas avait été mis elle a dit qu elle avait eu du travail etc ,elle nous parlait anglais mais comprenait très bien notre français . Dommage de tenir un établissement et réagir à chaque fois en montrant qu on la dérangeait voir plus ,on est très déçu et mécontent de cet endroit que je déconseille fortement.

Lovely place to stay, thoughtfully designed and furnished with many nice touches and pieces of art. Well organised and maintained. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful but not in your face - there's a nice community feel. Great quality Italian food was a welcome alternative to Thai. We found it ideal for a peaceful and relaxing week. We weren't sure we'd like the Wednesday party but actually that and the small market brought a different vibe which was nice for a change.

No down sides.

שהינו בשתי בקתות ל 3, היו חדרים מרווחים ומעוצבים מגניב, מקום פשוט,אותנטי ומקסים עם חוף מהמם ושקט, צמחיה יפה ומסעדה. בהמשך החוף גם מקום מצוין למסאז' מול הים. נכנסנו למים כי נאמר שדם אין מדוזות מסוכנות. כשאנחנו היינו ביולי בקושי היו אנשים ושכרנו רכב כדי לצאת ולטייל, סהכ הכל במרחק עד חצי שעה נסיעה אבל חובה רכב כי אין לאן ללכת ברגל למעט 5 דק הליכה ל 7/11 או לשני בתי קפה. באחד נוף מהמם(לא עצרנו) בשני ארוחות בוקר עם ביגלה מהממות.

המסעדה היתה יקרה ביחס לשאר המסעדות בחוף וזה חבל כי הייתי מעדיפה להישאר ולהזמין שם יותר מאשר להתרוצץ עם הילדים. (לדוגמא-מיקס שייק 160 באט לעומת 100-120 ביתר) המקום מקסים ממש, אבל עלה הרבה ביחס לבונגלו פשוט ובסיסי.

The property is located on a beautiful beach! The rooms were well equipped very authentic and pretty. The restaurant was great and the staff also, very friendly and was willing to help out with everything.

The only thing is that The rooms weren’t cleaned our whole stay, but when I wanted something from the staff they immediately helped and gave what I asked for.

Good for low-key travellers (not backpackers as this place is to expensive for them) with no to low travel experience, low expectations and no problems with grumpy or absend staff.

Instead of being welcomed at check in, we ( father and son) we were being bullied out of the bleu, by a foreign grumpy fake owner. We stayed as friendly as possible, but when we saw the 2 rooms/huts, we were out in 5 minutes, never to come back ( full of muskietos, aircon broken, lights broken, stinking mells, etc etc. ) Our request for money back was downturned. There are so many nice hotels, resorts etc on the Koh Phangan island, people checking this old huts might better consider checking and going somewhere else on the island. Maybe only the recent Thai government Koh Phangan crackdown team on nominee businesses should pay this place a visit.. ( we might advice them to do so preventing others from being scammed) So people be aware, don't get yourself being scammed and/or fooled.

Un lieu avec une vraie âme, une décoration arty-hippie psyché décontractée et des sculptures originales dans le jardin. L'ambiance est vraiment cool et relax. On a littéralement les pieds dans le sable, à seulement quelques mètres de l'eau. La barrière de corail est juste à côté, ce qui permet de voir plein de poissons très facilement juste en nageant quelques mètres avec son masque et tuba. Des chaises longues sont installées face à la mer pour admirer des couchers de soleil incroyables. Un endroit parfait pour ceux qui cherchent de l'authenticité et de la détente absolue loin des hôtels sans âme. Je recommande vivement !

The location was fantastic, right on a very clean white sandy beach. The on-site restaurant served great food (wide variety) and excellent drinks. There were several other good restaurants within walking distance, as well. The bungalow was massive and very clean. A free water refilling station was provided. The whole resort was very clean and tidy and the staff were warm and friendly. Excellent value for money. We will be back again!!

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Seaboard. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet - schöner Strand , lecker Essen, wunderbarer Blick aufs Meer von unserem Bungalow A1! Die Chefin ist super entspannt und sehr zuvorkommend - man merkt dass sie wohl schon viele Jahre auf Ko Phangan lebt !

Also hier gibt es absolut nichts zu beanstanden!

The staff were extremely rude, unfriendly, on the morning of the check out, 20 minutes before the checkout time, one of the staff opened our room without permission, and yelled at us to leave the room. No room cleaning, the bed was hard, overall bad experience, I never met such unkinde hostess. Do not recommend at all.

Trevlig personal och god mat! Fin utemiljö, tillgång till solstolar och fint läge på stranden! Personalen höll efter utemiljön, krattade och gjorde fint! Kreativ konstnärlig utsmyckning.

Det borde framgå på Bookings sida att rummet ej städas (endast 1 ggn/vecka om du stannar en längre tid). Men fick tömma sopor, hämta vatten och toapapper själv. Bungalow var sliten och badrummet sunkiga, luktade illa till och från. Sängarna mycket hårda och obekväma, svårt att sova.... Ej prisvärt. För ett lägre pris skulle man inte klaga lika mycket på att boendet är slitet.

Posizione molto buona. Staff gentile e molto amichevole. Bella la zona del bar con buona musica, ambiente chill, discreti piatti e cocktail con prezzi in linea con la zona.

Le camere sono un po’ datate e il letto non è comodissimo. In generale non penso valga il prezzo richiesto ma si trova in una posizione fantastica.

De huisjes zijn flink verouderd. We hadden er twee. Degene met zee zicht was het beste, maar de badkamer zat vol met schimmel. Het andere huisje had een slecht (groot) bed en daar was de douche echt heel verouderd. Toiletpapier moet in de emmer, maar deze wordt niet geleegd. De kamers werden sowieso niet tussentijds schoongemaakt. We verbleven 4 nachten! Wc papier wordt ook niet aangevuld, ze kijken je raar aan als je komt vragen om nieuwe rollen. Daarnaast is er elke woensdagavond een feest met harde muziek. Dat staat niet in de omschrijving als je boekt. Wij houden niet van die muziek en vonden het dus vreselijk storend en hebben ook een klacht ingediend bij Booking. Op het terrein wordt 1 van de huisjes bewoond door een ‘kunstenaar’. Het ziet er vreemd en vies uit. Zijn kind loopt de hele dag rond in zijn blootje. Overal op het terrein staat ook ‘kunst’ van deze man. Onwijs vervelend is ook de constante wiet lucht. Het restaurantje heeft heerlijk eten maar als er iemand naast je zit te blowen is dat echt niet prettig en dus ongewenst. Al met al een soort hippie dorpje!

We absolutely loved our stay at Seaboard Bungalows for 6 nights in August. We had a view of the sea from our veranda, the beach is stunning, the staff were great and Haad Yao has everything you need. It was a very relaxing week!

Sehr nettes Team, hervorragendes Essen, einzigartige Lage direkt am Strand. Jeden Mittwoch findet ein kleiner Markt mit lokalen Ausstellern statt, anschließend gibt`s eine Party mit Techno-Musik.

Just excellent. Location could not be better, directly on the beach. Very chilled place all round. Old school vibes. Max is our kind of host. Leaves us alone to chill but is there if we need any help or advice. If you need anything just ask. Weekly Wednesday party great fun and an unexpected bonus. Best Thai food in the beach. Best place on the beach full stop. We will return, and recommend to all our friends.

Somewhat rustic bungalows right on Haad Yao beach. Loved the atmosphere, including the artisan market and techno party on Wednesday. Clever mood lighting around the grounds. Heaps of restaurants nearby and the essential 7/eleven. Parking for cars (steep access, but that is common in Koh Phangan). Not flash but lots of charm.

The bed was pretty hard! Daily water wasn't included.

We had a very uncomfortable stay. Old, run down bungalows (not as they were on the pictures). Old painting, wholes on the walls. Unconfortable matrasses for sleeping, old basic furniture and (unclean) decoration. Nice plants around the bungalows but packed with mosquitoes, which makes impossible to spend some relaxing moments on the small balcony. In addition, no mosquitonet on the windows, if you open the door to change air, the bungalow will be invaded by mosquitoes. Out of two beds only one had a mosquitonet. If you wake up early, the restaurant is closed, no coffee machine in the bungalows. The food in the restaurant is also basic. We went to eat next door after two days. Do not expect the famous Thai hospitality and kindness, this is an expat run accomodation. Overall, much below the standards usual in Thailand. The place hosts a party on Wednesdays, loud music and the crowd passes in front of your bungalow. Thursday night, loud electronic music from somewhere else. As quality, I would recommend for young low budget backpackers, but then the price 90 euros per night is hard to justify. No services included, no cleaning, you can spend your time cleaning up the sand and fight mosquitoes.

A huge thank you to Team Seaboard for an unforgettable stay! Everything about our experience was exceptional, from the faultless food to the vibrant atmosphere. Both the Italian and Thai menus were absolutely delicious, and the aubergine parmigiana was a standout favorite. Their event program was fantastic, featuring high-energy dance parties and soulful live jazz performances at sunset. Any minor issues were swiftly handled and the hosts and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The cherry on top? The expertly curated playlist that set the perfect tone throughout the day at the beachside restaurant. Their seamless blend of classical, funk & soul, house music, and ambient lounge created an effortlessly cool and relaxing vibe. They really know what they’re doing! Already looking forward to our next visit!

The rooms are a bit dated but still okay and we didn't get any daily water included in the rooms.

Great atmosphere, entertainment,.various chill areas, beautiful art, decent western food (limited and average thai). Spacious rooms and nice interior. Lots of friendly animals, sand toys, tunes good drinks and beautiful Sunsets!

Dirty doona cover and bins never got emptied. Noisy without warning, all good for parties but a heads up for the midnight techno thumping would have been appreciated beforehand.Thai food was a bit bland and limited. No offer of advice on hand but vague.

Very nice location on the beach. Spacious bungalows with nice outdoor seating.

We where prepared for the policy of no room cleaning (read others reviews on that matter), but I still think they could earn a lot on offering room cleaning/changing of towels/linnen at least every 4th day or so :). But we managed fine, and I’m sure they would have done it we asked. One thing we really missed was some more comfortable sunbeds/chairs on the beach. The bathroom was all in all fine, but ours had a constructions fault - making a total flooding of the bathroom everytime you showered.

I am extremely grateful for the effort that you did with food for our son.

Good vibes only Ist im Seaboeard oberstes Motto. Das Restaurant ist wie gemacht zum chillen und der Strand ist ein Traum. Die Anlage hat noch den gewissen Charme und die Besitzerin und das Personal sind sehr nett .

I have been meaning to write review but have only just got around to it! what can i say!! this is our paradise... we have been visiting Seaboard or 8 years with our family from the UK and everyone talks about how amazing this place is all year around... the kids and adults cannot wait to come back... from the hospitality of lovely Paola and Max, to the spectacular sunsets.. we just cant get enough.. the chilled vibe is exactly what we need after a long winter in London... the rooms are pretty basic but have all that you could need including a lovely balcony/terrace directly on the beach... no shoes required during your stay and the beach is you home...THIS IS PARADISE!

Great location on the beach and beautiful atmosphere for a relaxed holiday with good restaurants around on the same beach.

The mattresses on the beds were very hard. They could use an update.

It doesn’t have to be perfect in order to be great. What’s important here is (i) the abundant shade for the kids to play in all day. (ii) The fact that there are always kids playing here, both passing through as well as the staff’s kids. (iii) our bungalow is right on the beach and has a huge patio. Thank you Paola! A1 will cost you a premium, but if you can swing for it, totally worth it. The other bungalows are surrounded by bushes of pink and white flowers. (iv) The social architecture is incredible with different ways of sitting (tables, platforms, hammocks), for different size groups (or individuals), and many discrete spaces that are together but offer generous personal space. (v) The space is, and feels, open, like an Italian piazza. Its beach face is wide and generous.

It doesn’t matter. It’s imperfections that are overshadowed by the benefits and vibe of the place (both specifically Seaboard and more generally Haad Yao).

they could be better with cleaning the rooms where guests stay longer than 3 nights. We stayed 8 nights and no cleaning was offered, no toilet paper offered etc. The bin area is smelly as… in fact that area of the property looks like it just isn’t taken care of at all.

ANGRY and DISRESPECTFUL managers. BAD VIBES. Best to stay away! I couldn't believe what happened to me at this place. I went down to the bar and order a few drinks for me and my friends. I asked the waiter to please do NOT add sugar on it (I have a problem with sugar) so I actually asked twice not to put sugar. I even told him it's important! When I get my drink, it was full of sugar. So much that i took a lot of it, which can make me sick. So i go back to the waiter and tell him about it. This is when the manager, Celia, jumped in, shouting to me in front of everyone, trying to make fun of me saying "I never met anyone who doesn't take sugar but still drinks alcohol. If you can't take sugar, then don't drink alcohol!!" I could not believe what i was listening... Instead of saying sorry and just give me another drink without the sugar, she starts shouting and accusing me instead. Trying to make me feel ridiculous in front of other guess and her friends. Really so disgusting behavior. So to avoid further confrontation i just left the place. However, it made me feel bad how she tried to publicly rebuke me in front of everyone, and i really didn't want to argue, but i couldn't take it off my head so i searched for the main manager, who was kind enough to talk to me about the incident and offer me another drink (which i didn't accept btw). That was appreciated but still i cannot understand how they work with such people who shout on their clients. Also, i later find out that the angry waitress, Celia, is also a Yoga instructor... I just cannot imagine what it would be like to take Yoga lessons with such an as angry and disrespectful person! 😳

Location, sunsets and the beach is very well maintained. Drinks are really good and there is a very large party and market held on Wednesday night.

The food wasn't that great but acceptable if you didn't want to walk to any of the other local restaurants. Also there are a lot of mosquitoes and some Bungalows have mosquito nets and others don't. (ours didn't) So bring lots of repellent or buy a zapper.

We came here on a Wednesday night for a Techno Party. Really busy from 6pm onwards with decent music & atmosphere. Would want to stay here but the party was decent, but good as a visitor. Also there was an artisan market selling crafts which was a bit random.

My wife and I had a wonderful few days staying here. Basic, but delightful. Stayed in one of the beach front bungalows (A2) . Great and friendly staff. Max was super helpful, the food was lovely, and the house favourite cocktails, a Spicy Mango, and Watermelon Margarita, were delicious. Great location in the middle of the beach, surrounded by other lively bars and places to eat. Would definitely recommend coming here!

The beach access is great! They bungalos also have mats and sarongs that you can borrow if you visit another beach. Typical Thai style bungalows, nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. There is also a bike rental place right next door, which is key on this island.

We arrived around 8:00pm. It was raining very hard. All off the lights where off an no one was there to great us or check us in. Luckily my friends had been there before, or I would have had no clue where the check in desk even was. Pitch black. We also tried calling but no answer. I sent an email which I eventually received a response from. Someone showed up after we sat there for an hour. Everything else was great, but that was not a good start.

the staff and the rooms ..all very abysmal

We loved the laid back vibe at Seaboard. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. There were live DJ sets on some evenings which made the amazing sunsets even more memorable. Recommend if your looking for no thrills authenticity.

The bungalow was very clean as was the surrounding area and restaurant. We were near the beach. Hot water shower was very reliable.

Beds were incredibly uncomfortable- Thai beds are often harder than European, but these were a new level of hard! Organisation was chaotic... Our booked room had been rented to someone else so beds were not as expected. Also a problem with laundry- not recieved until just before we checked out and had to involve management as staff didn't know where it was! Restaurant not memorable, and wasn't open for breakfast- staff couldn't give us a time it would be open when we tried at 9am...

Very nice place right on the beach. Loved the music. Every wednesday there's a small market and music-evening which attracks nice people from the island.

It is a really nice place but…. The Italian owner seames not really care about there guests, she does what she wants, she does not feel approachable at all. There was a super loud techno party in the bar of the resort until 1.30 in the night! There are a lot of family’s with little children, so we totally did not understand this. We really thought this was grazy. The owner did not even inform us about it. So not nice. Also she played loud music at the bar when she wants… So if you like techno parties go to this place!

Seaboard Bungalows is a good option in Haad Yao beach, mayby the better one. The rooms are simple but have everything you need for a beach stay, which I think is what you want when traveling to Haad Yao. Both Paola, the owner, and Alex, the general manager, are very friendly people and always available for any kind of help if you need it. Next August I will be travelling there once more.

This place is a very cozy place the have a beautiful bar at the beach. The owner is very nice and staff is very nice. The view is very nice to watch the sunrise or watch the sun go down but i REALLY RECOMMEND GOING HERE.

This place is exactly what it should be: warm community, clean rooms, delicious food and a gorgeous beach. The sandflies on the beach are a massive drawback, though. I was bitten on my first day and spent the rest of the weekend trying to find anything to stop the itching. I counted 58 welts on one leg. I’ve lived in Thailand and traveled to islands in the region for the last eight years and have never experienced anything like this. I know it’s not the owner’s fault, but some signage/information warning about them could’ve really made a difference.

Absolutely gorgeous.. Paola & Max are the sweetest hosts. During uncertain Covid times My husband & 11 yr old comfortably spent 4 months in this beautiful place. Friendly staff, ‘good vibes’ & the best sunsets 👍😎❤️

This was the nicest place we stayed at on KPN. The owners are friendly and helpful, there is a good social scene vibe about the place; it's in a great location, has beautiful sunsets, good music, and decent menu at the restaurant. We were with an energetic 4 year-old and were made to feel more than welcome. We stayed here for a week, late July, during COVID, so there were very few international tourists around. Those who were there were people resident in Thailand on vacation or people who had been stranded here when the airports closed. Bungalows are basic, but very comfortable beds and nicely decorated - wooden furniture, colour scheme in-keeping with surrounding environment. The grounds of the place are lovely - palm trees and bougainvillea everywhere, and adequate parking for both cars and motorbikes. It's situated in the middle of Haad Yao, which is the side of the island more inclined towards the yoga / meditation / tantra / chakkra alignment enthusiasts than gap-year teenagers wanting to get wasted at the full-moon parties, and as such there's a more low-key vibe about the place. Beach is good - soft sand, and the sea quite shallow and (while we were there) calm. Great place to watch the sunset. Lots of bamboo furniture, hammocks, wooden platforms. Beer and cocktails were reasonably priced. Menu at the restaurant has standard bungalow fare, but also a decent menu of pasta dishes and specialties available. We didn't try any of these as we ate out most of the time, but the snacks that I did have were good quality. Will return and highly recommend.

The beach is one of the nicest on the island, especially during the low tide months and seaboard bungalows is the best place to stay on this beach. Paola and Max and all the staff are so lovely and the place has such a wonderful atmosphere. The bungalows are very good value, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Great music, great food, lovely for families but also those without kids which is hard to appeal to both but they really manage to. Would totally recommend and will return again.

I visited this resort when it wasn’t long open back in 2013 and let me tell you, Paulo has done a fantastic job to it. Not only that she came up and hugged me as she remembered from 7-years ago. Now that’s a hostess. Great location, beautiful beach, lovely staff and nice comfortable rooms. Food was wonderful as well. It’s a real bargain and treat to stay here. Highly recommend it and will be going back.

We've visited last year, around May and with my 3 year old son.... The welcome, support and overall hospitality was perfect (we stayed longer then we planned!) 9 months later, we have just returned, my son is now 4 (and much more lively) but the hosts (Paola & Max) were just as accommodating, if not more. Perfect hospitality, wonderful accommodation and in the perfect location. The Italian owners/managers have also employed the most amazing Chef (Giovanni) from Italy that will offer you a choice between the best hand made pasta dishes or some of the best Thai food around; nice to have a choice. In summary, think of your perfect trip to an exotic, island location (that is also family friendly).... this is the one!

Great Sunset Beach, nice big bungalows, tasty Italian and Thai food at the Restaurant. Beautiful plants and flowers on the propriety as well as a beautiful lightning at night. 7/11 24 hour shop is very close as many other shops and restaurants. We enjoyed Very much our stay during the New Year Holiday!

I went to order some spaghetti and a smoothie. Asking for smoothie with no ice and sugar, the ask me to pay 30% more. No problem i understand and after i geth a half glass of it. Telling me in aggressive way if i want full glass is 200 instant of 80 normal price. I order the spaghetti, one of the moust expensive dishes, a portion for children came. I ask gentle for some more please and 2 people of the staff very aggressive insult me and tell me im crazy person. In all this situation i was very calm and just wanted to run away from this bad place.

I spent there four days. Very good localization, beautiful beach, amazing sunsetes, good vibes! Late, loud parties on Wednesdays. Simple house, ugly bathroom and toilet:/ whole house smelt like sewer.

Nice bungalows with a great beachfront location. Would highly recommend booking beachside bungalow A-1 if available (it's literally just a few steps from the beach). We were well looked after by Paula, Max, and all the staff. Hotel has its own restaurant and bar (both good) but there are also many others just a short walk away along a nice beach. DJ with festivities on Wednesday nights.

We loved the atmosphere and the food of this place. It's run by the owner (Paula) and her right hand man (Max), both from Italy, with Giovanni-the-chef from Venice (top notch Italian food by any standards). Our bungalow was steps away from the beach (as all of their bungalows). On Wednesday evenings, Paula hosts an open air market followed by a DJ and dancing. A very cool place that we accidentally stumbled into, like going back in time to 1970's. The small beach has several sea-side cafe's and a few very good restaurants (in addition to Paula's place, of course). We'll be back next year.

Love this place. Wonderful staff and excellent location. A total dream. It’s as good as it looks I the pictures. They also sometimes have a daytime party on the beach with really great music. Mature crowd. Love it!

We stayed with a large group of us at Seaboard and had a lovely stay! The beach was beautiful and lots of lovely places to relax, eat and drink. We loved the food at Seaboard although it is alot cheaper to eat elsewhere along the beach. The chill out areas were perfect for lounging around, there was suppose to be certain entertainment nights at the bungalows, however we did stay in low season so perhaps this is why nothing happened. A beautiful place to stay, although I would say quite pricey for beach accommodation, especially when we booked a range of rooms and quite a few were very similar but priced much higher.

On arrival our passports were requested, but as we had just some over from Koh Samui for one night we didn’t think to bring them. If we had been notified that they would be needed, or if it mentioned this on the booking site then I would say we deserved the grief we received when we first arrived, however, this wasn’t mentioned anywhere. Then, when shown to our room the host pointed out that the room hadn’t finished being prepared, so she would send someone over to do so. Well, no one came to finish the room, so we had the old used towels and bath mat from the previous guest and I’m not even sure if the bed sheets had been changed! As, we had popped over to the island to attend a wedding, we didn’t have the time to chase this up before returning from the wedding that evening, so we had to make use of what we had. Very disappointing to pay top end (bungalow) prices for this kind of service.
