Breakfast was really good. I had a western one and everything tasted so fresh. Def farm to table. The ackee and saltfish too, you are literally looking at the ackee tree where it comes from. Their peppermint tea is so good! There are games to play on the rooftop. The room is very clean. You have a fridge to keep your water cool. And a big closet to stow away your luggage. Barbara really makes sure you feel at home and is very hospitable. And you are surrounded by trees and you hear birds during the day and crickets by night. This stay def made me zen ;)

I cannot think of anything I didn't like

Everything was super nice, especially the host, she is so kind, helpful and really made our stay even better. If Jamaica wasn’t that far from our country we would definitely be back💛

Ficamos duas noites. A hospedagem foi excelente. A localização é ótima. Fizemos os passeios da Lagoa Azul, Frenchman's Cove e Winifred Beach caminhando. Tem que ter atenção quando caminhar na rodovia. Mas é super agradável a caminhada. O atendimento da Barbara é especial!

An unforgettable stay at The Polish Princess Our time at The Polish Princess was truly wonderful. The property is set within the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Portland Jamaica. The road leading up to the hotel is mostly smooth and the final short stretch is a little rocky but easy for any car to manage. The setting gives the place a charming rural feel that makes you immediately relax. From the moment we arrived Barbara and her husband Denton made us feel completely welcome. They have created a warm and authentic environment that feels more like staying with family than at a hotel. Dentons breakfasts were absolutely outstanding fresh delicious and even adjusted to meet special dietary needs. Our room was very clean comfortable and opened onto a lovely deck area where we enjoyed both sunshine and shade. Being in a rural area meant hearing roosters dogs and crickets in the evenings but this added to the natural charm and actually helped us sleep well. Getting around was easy with taxis available for nearby attractions and beaches. A very special thank you to the two wonderful ladies who looked after us at breakfast and kept our room spotless throughout our stay. Their kindness made each day even better. We would not hesitate to return to The Polish Princess. If you want comfort charm and genuine Jamaican hospitality this is the perfect place to stay.

There is no AC, however there are fans.

Highly recommend Barbra and her well run Polish Princess Guest house. Such a great base to explore the sights of Portland from, which there are many of. Barbra is also very attentive and has many very good tips on what to see, and travel tips. Breakfast was also very good!

Unser Aufenthalt im Polish Princess Guesthouse war einfach rundum perfekt! Schon bei der Ankunft haben wir uns herzlich willkommen und sofort wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war wirklich hervorragend – frisch und liebevoll zubereitet. Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön geht an Barbara: Ihre Tipps zu Ausflügen, Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten waren Gold wert. Dank ihrer Empfehlungen konnten wir die Umgebung auf eine ganz besondere Art erleben. Man spürt ihre Leidenschaft und ihre Gastfreundschaft in jedem Gespräch. Der gesamte Aufenthalt war entspannt, herzlich und einfach wunderschön. Wir haben jede Minute genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung – wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal! 💛

A Polish Princess Guest House é uma ótima opção de hospedagem em Port Antonio. A casa é linda, organizada e limpa. Quarto e banheiro muito amplos, bonitos, confortáveis e equipados com televisão e ventilador. Havia água de cortesia em nosso quarto. Barbara, a dona da propriedade, é muito simpática e sempre disposta a ajudar e dar dicas sobre a região. O café da manhã também muito maravilhoso e variado, toda manhã uma delícia diferente. Os funcionários simpáticos. Local muito seguro e muito próximo da Blue Lagoon e da Winnifred Beach, o que dava para fazer caminhando. Gostamos muito de nossa estadia e de Port Antonio.

I thought the breakfast was very nice, with friendly staff. The room suited our needs. A very nice quiet location. It felt safe.

I thought that the shower could do with a shower non slip mat. That's all.

Signage from the main road could be a little more prominent, especially when arriving in the night. Official check in time of 3pm could be a little earlier, although we were welcomed when we arrived shortly after 2pm

The host was amazing and provided us with a lot very useful tips where to go see the interesting locations.

Barbara was such a good host - she greeted us warmly and we immediately felt welcome. She was great at giving tips and pointers for travel around the area, both on foot and by taxi/ bus, and arranged us some transport too.

The Polish Princess is an amazing and cozy spot in Portland. The location is beautiful and in a perfect position, just 5 min driving from Frenchman's Cove, Blue Lagoon, Boston Bay, and 10 min from Port Antonio. Also 35 min away from Reach Falls and Turtle Bay Cove in Manchioneal. The owner Barbara is extremely welcoming and kind. She really wants her guests feeling home, and she can provide for any needs. She also cooks great international and jamaican breakfast, and her suggestions about places to go and visit are always right and worthy to give it try: she didn't make any wrong, not even once. The room is not provided with A/C, so it gets hot during summer, but Barbara can provide standing fans that will help to feel good enough for sleeping and chilling. The guest house is very nice, with beautiful garden and patio, and lovely small and comfortable rooms. The surrounding are is quiet and private, and very safe. The road have been lately paved, so no need to be worried. The quality/price ratio is great and l would definitely stay here again if l will come back to Portland. The owner and the guest house have met the expection and made me feeling home, as well as allowed me to have a wonderful time in Portland. Totally recommended!!!

Set in a beautifully maintained garden full of fresh food like avocado, mango and breadfruit. This was served up for breakfast

La gentillesse de Barbara et sa disponibilité. A la base nous devions rester 3 jours mais une urgence familiale nous a obligé à écourter notre séjour.

A localização é excelente, fica pertinho das principais praias. O café da manhã também foi maravilhoso, servido com frutas, suco, café, pão e omelete. Achei ótimo porque na região não é fácil encontrar lugares para comer.

A única ressalva é que o quarto não possui ar condicionado e o ventilador não é forte, acredito que seja por causa da energia elétrica da região. Mesmo assim, isso não afetou nossa estadia.

The host, Barbara, was warm, friendly and the epitome of exceptional service. The breakfast was out of this world. The major beaches and international known landmarks were close by, making this location perfect.

Liked the landscape with numerous fruit trees. The rooms all had cooling fans, but air conditioning would have helped to cool more before nightfall.

The breakfast was delicious every day. The staff were very welcoming. Love the peace and solitude of the area its located.

Pousada extremamente limpa, Bárbara extremamente atenciosa, disposta a dar boas dicas. Café da manhã servido por quarto com frutas e uma opção de salgado com o cuidado de não repetir nos 3 dias q ficamos. Localização excelente, 3 min da Blue lagoon. Port Antônio é recomendado q se vá de carro pois não tem nada muito pertinho embora tenha visto alguns turistas caminhando pelas vias. Só não foi mais perfeita por conta do ventilador mas não deixamos de dormir bem por isso! Com certeza recomendo e voltando a Port Antônio e lá que vamos ficar novamente!!

Don’t waste your time or money looking anywhere else! This place is SUPER CLEAN, and the room smelled like flowers as soon as we walked in! The room was comfortable and cozy, with a mini fridge and hot water in the shower. We truly felt at home. Barbara was incredibly helpful, always making sure we had an amazing experience. The breakfast was delicious, and the service was fantastic!

Barbara couldn't do enough for her guests. She was amazing. Very warm and friendly,.She was happy to answer any questions and give advice about local restaurants and beaches. A wonderful host. A different breakfast every day. Barbara even catered for my wife's gluten intolerance, for which she was extremely grateful. We used the roof terrace every evening to sit with a drink and listen to the chorus of tree frogs and cicadas, which was very relaxing. Barbara even provided a mean strawberry daiquiri. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Polish Princess

I wanted to stay at a quiet bed and breakfast in a beautiful setting where I could read and relax. The Polish Princess Guest House exceeded my expectations. I requested meals that were vegetarian and gluten-free. Miss Barbara served a delicious breakfast each morning and the meal presentation was beautiful. The setting was so nice. The guest house is surrounded by nature and the building and grounds were well maintained. Miss Barbara was a wonderful host. My 5-night stay was so comfortable I didn't want to leave.

Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful and quiet. Barbara is an amazing host who took excellent care of us throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious and filling with great fruits included. Rooms are comfortable with all the essentials.

Our room was a bit stuffy at night. An extra standing fan would have been great since there’s no AC.

The Guesthouse was very nice, surrounded by trees and very peaceful. Very in the spirit of Portland. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped. The host was very nice, helpful and available for our needs. The rooftop terrasse was also a nice touch to gather, have breakfast and dinner. I would stay there again.

Barbara was amazing. She really takes care of her guests. The proximity with the Blue Lagoon (walking distance), Frenchman Cove and other local attractions.

This was my third time staying at the Polish Princess Guesthouse substantiating that this is a wonderful place to stay when in the Port Antonio area. My room was clean and spacious with a mini fridge, large closet, spotless washroom with a great shower, excellent WiFi, TV with a multitude of channels and comfortable bed. The ceiling fan above the bed was efficient and I always had a good night’s sleep. The included breakfasts were consistently delicious. There was ample secure parking for my rent a car. The owner/manager Barbara is a gracious and knowledgeable host always going out of her way to help. This is one of my must stay places when I am visiting Jamaica.

The room is comfortable and the place is very relaxing and bring peace ! The host is friendly and is easy to keep in touch with her. The location i didnt like . For people w/o car is impossible to move. You need taxi everytime and this is painful.

1. The location is tranquil, nestled between the green hills. 2. The host was excellent....meet and greet and even helped with the luggage , a real hands-on person.

Polish Princess is situated in a beautiful location in Fairy hill.It has a beautiful patio /dining area that lights up at night, a great selection of books to read and a friendly family of Alsatian dogs to help keep everyone safe. The host Barbara was very friendly,hospitable and assisted with finding the location despite it being late in the evening. Breakfast was nice,served with fresh juice plus tea and coffee !:)

Barbara and her local team provided very useful information about activities in the area and a very welcoming athmosphere. Breakfast on the roof terrace is fantastic.

I liked that there was a turn down service every day. Breakfast was great and the staff and Barbara are lovely. It was really peaceful and beautiful and I enjoyed the breakfast view. Everything is easily accessible via taxi for not much money.

I am not the biggest fan of dogs but despite this I felt safe knowing the dogs were there and Barbara was really good about keeping the dogs seperate.

Barbara and her staff are very welcoming and friendly and are happy to help you and give you ideas on where to go. It rained while we were staying and we stayed in on the top decking some evenings and Barbara was very hospitable and bought us drinks and looked after us. The breakfast is also very good.

Nothing we didn’t like, a bit of noise from animals in the evening but you are in the hills and is manageable with ear plugs :)

The property was super clean and the hosts were very welcoming on every entry. The breakfast was great. Barbara also recommended really nice dining spots for us of which we were grateful. The property is in close proximity to Winnie Fred Beach. The freshness of the air was also excellent.

The hostess, Barbara, was very welcoming and extremely accommodating, making us a packed breakfast for our early starts and recommending local restaurants/cafes - even checking which ones were still open during a power cut.

This was my second stay at this reasonably priced well managed guest house close to the Blue Lagoon in Portland. My room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, small fridge, TV and excellent Wifi. There was ample secure parking for my rent a car. The included breakfasts were delicious. The owner/manager of the guesthouse Barbara was courteous, knowledgeable and very accommodating. I highly recommend staying here when in the Port Antonio area and I will definitely be staying here again.
