I like that I was able to walk around the restaurant didn’t need to drive. I like seeing Hippos. Young gentle man was in front desk was very good helpful and well mannered

Uncomfortable bed was uncomfortable. AC was not working. Stuff is loud at 6:30 am; they are loud talking. I couldn’t sleep in at all. Internet was not working so I couldn’t respond as much as I wanted to do.

Other guests were extremely loud ( noise factor during the day was constant and above an acceptable level that could be tolerated) . They were drunk most of the time , they took over the pool and braai area so we couldn’t access it at all , the kids ran around screaming and naked, they partied until 3 . When approached by management which was at another hotel they quietened down whilst management was there and then continued. One vehicle had a reverse beeper which was incredibly loud. To block out the noise at night I had the air conditioner on full and had the sheet over my head which still didn’t help. We booked for 5 nights and left after 4. During the day we had to make a plan to stay away from the accommodation as it was not restful at all. Management should have kicked them out after the first transgression. It RUINED my entire Easter weekend

Unfortunately many things that didn't meet expectations. from cleanliness to blocked drains, lights not working, communal areas filthy. It was very disappointing especially for our guests. I honestly think that a representative from Booking.com should visit the lodge as the pictures on the site do NOT match with the lodge itself. very disappointing as the pictures are NOT what you see from reception, to pool, facilities, bar etc. Very disappointing. I have discussed this with management. Pos

It was central to the main street.

There's no braai area in front of each unit on the ground floor. Its make it difficult to carry your items up and down and also rather awkward to braai in front of your neighbors door.

I didn’t like the fact that when I got to the property I had to go to a different location/place just to check in and then come back to the initial place. If I was told prior to the check in that I have to start at a different location it would have been better.

The clerk at elephant lodge is very rude and she was not helpful, I'm no longer going to book in that lodge.

We really enjoyed St Lucia as a destination. It’s a beautiful place to visit, with amazing game reserves, stunning beaches, and great local attractions. Seeing hippos walking through the town was a truly unique experience and something we will always remember. The overall experience of exploring the area was fantastic.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We booked during the December peak season at a relatively high cost, expecting a comfortable stay based on the online rating. However, the reception experience was unfriendly, the property felt very outdated, and the rooms were extremely hot as only one bedroom had air-conditioning while the rest of the unit relied on ineffective fans. Given the price we paid, we expected a far better standard of comfort and upkeep.

Location great but the place is not. The room was disappointing. Furniture and Beds were old, bedding old as well. They only make the bed and not clean the room. Slept two night with a dead fly and we picked it up ourselves and flushed it. The passage smelled stuffy all the time. There was too much noise. There are rats living in the roof, we could hear them mostly at night.

I think it's not a place to visit for fun as a group of friends as there will be a noise obviously. The place it's to close to the neighbors, we had neighbors coming to warn or threaten us about the noise. We felt a bit of racism hidden in the rules of the area which I understand because the way I see it the area belongs to the certain group of race.

Nice rooms with aircon. Comfy beds. Small area with kitchen well equipped for cooking basics meals. Friendly staff.

I was not happy about the size of beds, and I was not comfortable . Too short

The location of the place is convenient, next to all amenities. It is also a comfortable place to stay and their rates are reasonable.

I didn't like their tv it's very small and placed a little bit far from the bed. Their wifi is as good as non existent. It's signal is not picked from the room and we had to make use of our mobile wifi router.

Everyone was soooo professional. I'm not a mean person, but I am there to bond with my friends, not to have guesthouse owners talk to us 24/7. The staff really respected our privacy and need for an intimate friend setting. Professional, quiet, neat. I will definitely return.

It would be nice if the upstairs units also have a mini fridge, but I'll survive. Everything else was perfect.

Well located in the town. Rooms had all required amenities.

Staff where great, rooms clean, staff knowledgeable of the area & aircon worked well.

Communal kitchen area needs new items, eg:knives, grater, stove. Fridges need shelves and defrosting in the freezer. Wifi could be better/ consistent.

It was quiet noisy, toilet paper ,was not given daliy Therefore we had to use our own which we brought from home Team and coffee was given the first day thereafter not again.

The location of the lodge is perfect…one can walk to restaurants,beach etc…

Be prepared to be woken up quite early daily due to banging doors every morning….not sure if this was staff members or other patrons….very very loud mornings. There is no food served on the premises….not sure why not…as there is a kitchen there . The day we arrived…there were fish bones scattered all over the grass area around the braai…which did not smell good,and attracted a large amount of ants on the stoep….although the manager on duty came quickly to clean up once alerted….
