iGwalagwala Guest House

We spent wonderful days at this guest house – 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms were very spacious and furnished with so much love and attention to detail. The hosts were incredibly nice, warm and helpful – we felt at home from the first moment. The breakfast was also amazing, always so tastefully arranged and delicious. We can recommend this place 100% and would love to come back! Thank you for everything!

Wat een mooi plekje is dit! Prachtig ingerichte ruime kamers, centraal gelegen in St Lucia en supervriendelijke hosts. En een heerlijk ontbijt.

Such a cute place to stay with family friends. Modern rooms and decor with the added element of Africa. Tasteful neutrals used with small attention to details. They had water available on arrival for us and in the rooms there were basic toiletries and even designated make-up remover towel. It felt like a quaint and curated personal experience, Elne was fabulous. We took a morning safari, and had to miss breakfast (which I informed them), and they set out a basket of breakfast goodies for us to take with us which was very thoughtful and hospitable. The atmosphere was peaceful and calming and allowed us to have a relaxing time. Very clean! Will definitely stay here again.

Both the staff and owner were fantastic. They couldn't do enough to help. The room is fresh and very clean. Everything worked as it should with no signs of damage.

Sehr schönes Guesthouse und absolut tolle Gastgeberin und freundliches Personal. Sehr ruhig und sicher gelegen. Zimmer großzügig von der Größe und sehr sauber. Frühstück sehr liebevoll und lecker mit einer tollen Auswahl. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt, wir können es nur empfehlen!

Eigentlich nichts, das einzige was man wissen muss als zwei Menschen, die beide sehr groß sind, ist dass die Betten Queensize Betten sind.

Tolle Unterkunft in zentraler Lage. Unglaublich liebe Mitarbeiter und eine tolle Chefin. Super gepflegter Pool und einwandfreie Sauberkeit im ganzen Haus. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Meine Frau hatte Geburtstag und es gab einen kleinen Kuchen und ein bezauberndes Ständchen von den Mitarbeitern. Parkplatz sehr sicher hinter einem Tor geschützt. Wenn Santa Lucia dann hier. ❤️

Sehr herzliche Gastgeberin! Die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!!

Accommodatie zelf, sfeervol, schoon, centrale locatie, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Lekkere bedden, groot zwembad. Wij verbleven tijdens oud en nieuw. Op 1 januari hadden ze speciaal mimosa en gebak met happy 2026. Speciale dank aan de geweldige host!

Overall service. Breakfast was excellent and everyone went over and above what we could expect including recommendations and booking of restaurants, trips and little extras. eg a decanter of sherry in our room, fresh milk and filtered water in fridge, packed breakfast when we went out early.

La struttura è molto bella e il personale è gentilissimo. Una mattina non abbiamo potuto fare colazione in quanto partivamo molto preso per una gita e ci hanno preparato comunque dei piccoli snak. È dotata anche di giardino interno con piscina.

Our stay was absolutely excellent! The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully prepared with lovely touches like sherry, chocolates, and beach towels, which made us feel so welcome. The homemade bread and scones were delightful, and the hot breakfast was a wonderful start to each day. Your friendliness and hospitality truly stood out, as did the helpful tips you gave us. The location was perfect—right next to town with easy access to restaurants and the town center. Thank you for making our visit so memorable. We hope to return soon!

Elné is a great host and assisted us with bookings in the area, we had a lovely welcome with refresher towels The guesthouse is very comfortable and safe with secure gated parking. It's beautifully decorated and they serve a great breakfast with consideration to dietary requirements The room was spacious, well designed with modular furniture and also comforts like tea and coffee, water, sherry & a vanity kit. We couldn't ask for more and really enjoyed our stay. Will be back and highly recommend

Very friendly and helpful hosts. We stayed in a family room (3p) which had ample room to still move around. Rooms open onto pool. Nice gazebo in the garden for guests to use. Delicious hot breakfast and home made bread! Hippos down the street were a bonus.

Location is great and staff is very friendly. We arrived late in the evening and managed to see hippos walking along the street

We stayed for one night in the Family Room with Garden View. The bathroom is not fully isolated from the room space, it is behind a screen with opening on the top. So, I couldn't have early morning shower without disturbing my family with noise and light.

Elné was an amazing host. She gave great advice about what to do in the area. She even went out of her way (twice!) to offer us a packed breakfast. The guest house itself was spotless and very comfortable. Most of the rooms face the pool, which is great for cooling off on a hot afternoon. Thank you!

One inconvenience was the bathroom that is not completely blocked off from the bedroom. It’s not very private if you’re sharing a room.

Elne, Yvonne and Flip were the most gracious hosts, as for the breakfast - the best yet. It was the little extras that made so much of a difference from the homemade hash browns, delicious banana cake to the most fluffiest crumpets. Thank you Yvonne for the love and care you have shown in this amazing B and B. I loved the fact there was no TV in the room, as a family we actually got to talk.

If I was trying to find something, the information book cojkd do with updating as Ocean Basket is no longer there. Otherwise there is nothing.

What a fantastic little spot in St Lucia. Close enough to the main road for a quick pop out, but still quiet and peaceful. The gardens, rooms, and facilities are well looked after and gorgeous! The place is impeccably kept and not a spot of dust was seen. We particularly loved that borehole water was used, making it an eco-friendly option.

Beautiful and lovely accomodation. We went snorkeling early in the morning one day and would miss the breakfast, but the owner was attentive and prepared a cooling box with sandwiches, joghurts, fruits and juices so we would have something for our stomachs. We really recommend it.

Very nice house with a shared lounge, spacious bedroom, very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. We had tours organised : Zululand with a local guide (I recommend it), whales watching. The manager is very nice.

With the load shedding, no possibility to use the loo or shower unless the generator is on and running

The breakfast was very good and healthy. This accommodation is in a good location just near all complimenting facilities.

That it must be mentioned in the advert that there is no dinner and the rooms are without TV. Worse the lounge TV was not in use.

Great location, just out of the main street but within walking distance. Very clean and comfy and helpful owner. We booked our tours through her and they were brilliant. It was welcoming and easy with a yummy breakfast.

Safe parking behind a gate, very close to the main road where "everything" is located. Friendly management, large rooms, good and practical furniture.

Bathrooms built into bedroom with a skinny drywall partition that only goes two-third to ceiling, so no privacy if you are with a partner. You easily hear people in other rooms, but in general quiet enough.

Having a microwave in the dining area wud have been nice because we bought takeaways which needed to be warmed. We had to go out to the restaurants we had bought from to ask them to warm our food☹️

The iGwalagwala Guest House is in pristine condition. The rooms are extremely clean, the breakfast is varied and tasty, and the pool is also extremely clean and welcoming. The place is extremely well run and we will definitely be back on future stays to St. Lucia. On top of it all, the location is close to all the shops and restaurants.

Igwalagwala is a great little guest house. The staff are friendly, helpful and willing to book excursions etc. The main lounge/dining area is incredibly calm and peaceful and the whole place is a great, quiet location in which to relax. The bedroom is a good size, we had a room with a tasteful modern four-poster bed and a couple of arm chairs looking out through patio doors that overlooked the pool area. The profile picture showing the exterior of the guest house does not really do this place justice. Admittedly, not the most beautiful building from the outside, but don't be put off as you feel like you are staying somewhere that really cares about its guests and wants to give them the best experience they can. The breakfast is also very good and they offer 'picnic' breakfasts too if you are heading out early on safari. The guest house is about a 5-10 minute walk into town, so, far enough out to be quiet and peaceful, but close enough to access everything the town has to offer. We would happily return.

Rent och fräscht i perfekt läge. Mycket trevlig ägarfamilj som var mycket måna om vår trivsel.

Enorm gastvrij ontvangen en de eigenaren zetten graag een extra stap voor je. Zo hebben ze diverse excursies voor ons geregeld, maar waren ze ook heel flexibel met de tijden van het ontbijt toen we vroeg moesten vertrekken om een vlucht te halen. De kamers zijn ruim, netjes en sfeervol modern. Het ontbijt is goed, net als de ligging. We zouden Igwalagwala aan iedereen aanraden!

From setting foot in iGwalagwala Guest House our hosts made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough to help. Our family room was spotlessly clean and really nicely laid out. Lovely to open the doors on the pool garden area. The children thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Great Location in St Lucia couldn't have asked for more.

Comme le dit le titre, c’est une guesthouse charmante, joliment décorée, très propre et très bien tenue. La propriétaire est très attentive à ce que votre séjour se passe bien, elle a le souci du détail et elle est accueillante et donne de bons conseils. Nous sommes arrivés dans la matinée et avons pu laisser nos valises. La chambre ( familiale) est spacieuse et confortable. Nous avions vue sur la piscine. A savoir: Tout la salle de bain est intégrée dans la chambre avec des parois tout autour et une porte mais pas de plafond; dès lors, quand on va aux toilettes, toute la chambre peut entendre ce que vous faites. Il y a une toilette dehors à côté de la piscine ce qui peut être une solution si la situation vous dérange. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et varié d’un jour à l’autre. Nous avons pu goûter un excellent pain fait maison. Il y a une table réservée pour chaque chambre. Le quartier est très beau et la guesthouse est proche de la rue principale où se trouvent les restaurants. La région est magnifique. Il y a un parking privé. En résumé, c’est un excellent choix si vous souhaitez séjourner à St Lucia. Un tout grand merci à toute l’équipe!

Accueil sympathique. Beaucoup d'explications de la part de Patricia sur les choses à faire dans les environs et sur la guesthouse. Hall/piéce de vie/salle de petit déjeuner magnifique. Chambre spacieuse et confortable, jolis meubles. Attentions délicates. Seul bémol : pas de porte à la salle de bain (un peu gênant pour l'intimité).. Propreté impeccable. Petit déjeuner très joliment présenté, bon. Piscine agréable. Parking fermé. Tout était parfait, nous voulions rester 1 nuit de plus mais c'était complet.

Very nice guest house, everything is done to make sure that we are comfortable. The owners are very nice people and can give a lot of advices ans help you with a cooler, booking etc... Nice location also, you can walk to the beach, restuarants, etc... The breakfast is really great. We really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely come back. One more thing we can see some monkeys from our house :)

Lovely guest house, room was comfortable and clean. A little dark as it was in the corner but, as we had a family room, we are not complaining. The manager, Dieter, couldn't have been more helpful - organising our boat trip and a service wash for our laundry. Breakfast was plentiful - the fruit salad was delicious.
