Property was stunning. Quiet. Charming. We were disappointed that we were only there for one night! The rooms were spacious and the pool area super comfortable. Lots of cute deck chairs areas dotted around on the grass also.

from the front office the incredible hospitality is unmatched. The buffet was absolute delight with so many varieties in one place. Staff were great. Rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely visit again.

Very nice hotel. Pool well located. Large hotel have to walk far to some rooms. Good facilities. Food very nice. Good selection of Sri Lankan and western foods. Great hospitality!!!

The hotel room had lizards. We booked a chalet category room and found 2 lizards inside. The staff was courteous to change our room (lower category since it was fully booked). The new room was not well kept. The furniture was broken and it was not super clean as well. And again there was a lizard in that room as well. To our surprise they dont have any information or contacts for the safari. Being a 5-star hotel, we expected top notch experience but was not fully happy with it.

While the room was comfortable , it had annoying level variations which makes difficult at night to approach toilet. Apparently this resort is mostly patronized by whites and hence the food is suitable to their palates. As an Indian, I didn't like the food. Yes, staff is polite and cooperative.

The rooms are surrounded by lily ponds and there is a good pool for relaxing. The staff are attentive and helpful and the restaurant is excellent. The accommodation is a spacious well equipped room and en suite that are beginning to show their age.

Great place to use as a base for exploring Yala national park and surrounding area. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and staff are helpful. Pool looked inviting but never used it. Rooms are large and clean and air conditioning is great after a day in the jeep.

Nice staff, good service, good food and perfect stepping stone to start your safari to Yala National Park.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. This was our third stay at Chaarya Resort & Spa, and it continues to be our go-to place whenever we visit Tissamaharama. The food is excellent, with a great variety and an impressive selection that caters to many different cuisines. The rooms, ambience, and facilities are wonderful and truly make you feel at home. A special thank you to General Manager Mr. Norman, F&B Manager Mr. Dammika, and especially Mr. Ravindu, who was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality and outstanding service made our visit even more memorable. I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Yala, whether for a stay or even just a meal. We will definitely be back again!

Excellent value for money! Very attentive and friendly staff from the lobby through to the restaurant. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable! I would definitely recommend to all family and friends this beautiful hotel.

We only stayed one night as we were doing the yala safari. Our room was lovely, but it was so far away o can’t understand why when the hotel looked half empty. Being so far away we could not pick up the wifi. We had an early night as doing an early safari, but the noises from the workmen over the fence kept me awake till gone 1am. The staff were all lovely in the resort and restaurant. The food was very average, luke warm except the stuff they cooked fresh which was lovely. But everything else felt not as good as other hotels we have stayed in so far in Sri Lanka. I was going to mention this when I checked out but the last one reception did not seem at all interested in if we had a good time or not.

Ravidu was the first member of staff to really make a fantastic impression on us and made us feel so welcome! His level of service was outstanding from start to finish! A lovely hotel and if we are lucky enough to return to Sri Lanka, we would choose again to stay.

Amazing service and such a clean comfortable place to be. Food is exceptional..we were treated well by Ravidu who was very attentive and made sure our stay was pleasant and carefree. A very nice experience

This hotel is not for pure vegetarian and Jain tourists, All veg and non veg food is kept beside, there is no separate counter and they have no more options for veg food, we told to give fresh fruit but they refuse so I personally don’t suggest for veg people to go there, I also suggest all the travel companies not to take veg and Jain guests in this hotel

Great experience, especially the spa and the restaurant. My masseuse was amazing and Ravindu in the restaurant was lovely. He was very attentive and friendly.

The Room size was OK and in room Jacuzzi was great.. The Room View was great and swimming pool and gym where a great.

Had requested Honeymoon Decor for the room which was approved a month in advance but no Honeymoon decor was done.. Room had no Irons or charging ports. The Washroom had ants. Plus the with a checkout time of 12:00 noon listed, the bell boys and reception start tormenting you again and again asking to check the baggage out as early as 11:30 am

The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of dishes that everyone in our family enjoyed. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made our celebration even more special. A big thank you to the entire team at Chaarya Resort & Spa for making our son's birthday so wonderful. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with exceptional service and amazing food. We can't wait to visit again!

The location was beautiful not far from Yala National Park! The rooms were big, clean and spacious including the bathrooms! Great cooling in the rooms as well! Charaya has a lovely peaceful atmosphere and is such a family friendly place! The staff are extremely hospitable, so kind and made our family feel right at home! The food buffet was 100/10!! We would highly recommend this place and hope to visit again soon! Special thanks to Ravidu!!

Accommodation was perfect and our doors opened to the pool. Bar was really good and the team in there were fabulous. The food at this hotel is particularly good for a buffet type restaurant.

One of the best hotels I've been to..Nice calming atmosphere, great hospitality, especially Mr.Ravindu was really friendly and searched for all the needs at restaurant and he is one of the reasons that I felt to add a review and thank you 😊..food is great and had a good variety and taste was exceptionally good. Hats off to all the staff..also when we arrived early they arranged a room even hours earlier..pool,spa and everything is great ♥️

It was a great stay at this lovely and relaxing place. The staff were very helpful and hospitable throughout our visit. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Chaarya Resort & Spa. We enjoyed elaborate breakfast, dinner layouts and the live Mongolian Cuisine. The receptionist Tiruni was extremely polite and helpful, she always had a smile on her face, which we appreciated. Even the other staff were very friendly. We would like to go back to Chaarya Resort again

The hotel is beautiful from outside. The common area are wonderful. The swimming pool and the trees was magnifique.

There were dead insects in the room. The AC was not working the first night . They repaired it at 23:00 while we were in the room - they could have checked these earlier. same for my parents room - AC was leaking all night. the Toilets were smelly and they should have redone the joints - was leaking. We had a safety issue my daughter fell on the shower area on the head near the swimming pool..

From the moment we arrived the staff were exceptionally good to us. Ravidu in the restaurant served us. It was our honeymoon and he made it extra special by decorating our table. The rooms were very clean and tidy also there was a turning down in the evening where they left a plate with chocolates on. We had a lovely time there.

We had an amazing stay at the resort. We had already been travelling for a week before we came to Yala so were pretty tired and just wanted to relax and stay in and the resort served as the perfect place for it. It had all the amenities in a top condition, the property was very peaceful and calm. We got upgraded to a condo which was nice. The customer service is top notch with quick response to any request whatsover. Coming to the food they had a huge spread varying from continental to asian to local cuisine. We were travelling with 2 vegetarians so the staff went put of the way to make sure that they had plenty of options to choose from. Special thanks to Ravidu from the restaurant for such a warm experience. Highly recommend.

It was awesome stay at Chaarya Resort, from the begining everything was perfect. The rooms were well cleaned and tidy. By far the best hotel i stayed at in Sri Lanka. Its got all necessary facilities, the rooms are spacious and super comfortable, the landscape is amazing and it's got such a relaxing feel. The buffet for dinner and breakfast is a dream! Thank you to the exceptional staff members!

This was our one night stop during our honeymoon trip. We met an amazing staff, expecially Ravidu Who took care of us during the stay and even made us a surprise for the dinner.

Great Staff, food, spa and room quality. Norman the Manger speaks perfect English and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. He organised the Safari and transport to our next destination. Would highly recommend!

Good location and not too far to Yala Rooms are clean, comfy beds, huge bathroom and lots of toiletries. Staff are very friendly, helpful and generally seem happy to work here. Bar and pool area a great place to relax and enjoy. Food options at buffets are diverse and good quality. Dessert bar is huge. Would definitely stay again

We stayed for only one night but we wanted to write a review about the 3 massuses who work there. 3 of us all had massages all at the same time from Ayeshi, Kasun and I’m sorry I can remember the other name. All 3 of us have said it is the best massages we have ever had. Highly recommend taking time out for yourself and visiting these 3 exceptional staff members

Stayed as part of island tour, only one night , all very pleasant, close to national park.

A truly special hotel with the kindest staff. One especially sweet waiter called Ravidu taught me and my group some Sri Lanka phrases. The hotel has a brilliant atmosphere with a lovely pool and restaurant; with it being in close proximity to the Yala national park, allowing for easy access to safaris and wildlife hunts. If you are in Yala, Chaarya resort is a must stay!

We stayed for two nights as part of a tour. Very nice hotel and grounds. Food is good and service is excellent. We arrived on evening, spent the morning in the hotel by the pool and were the only users (hotel provided towels). Outside bar open until midnight and AC in the room was v necessary and brilliant. Food included local and European dishes and we all good as we ate both. Been to a few places in SL and around the world and would return. A little spot of paradise and ideally located close to Yala National Park

We had a nice stay. Sadly for us just one night because we had a tour trip and needed to travel along. But we deffinatly could stay here for a longer time. The food was very good and the hospitallity of our host Ravidu was great.

I was a frequent guest to Chaarya Resort and Spa (3 times before) whenever I visit Katharagama. This time they called and said they would like to upgrade us to Chaarya Lake. It was actually a downgrade and a disappointment. Service was bad, food was below par, and the room was surprisingly very small with insects. I have been returning to same place frequently due to their impressive service but utterly disappointed this time and not so sure will return again

The resort is close to Yala National Park. The facilities are great and the dinner and breakfast buffet will cater to all tastes. The staff are very professional and friendly. Our waiter, Ravidu, was particularly helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a Riviera Tour, the rooms are located in small blocks & are split level so you really do need to be careful & our ground floor room we did feel a bit overlooked so the curtains had to stay closed all of the time as we were near the bar which I would say was quite noisy as was the restaurant which is to small, not a lot of space. The pool area is also very small & we found that due to the grass being watered around the sun loungers it was very muddy. You will find lots of groups having wedding photo's taken in the grounds.

We stayed at the Chaarya lake ( next to the lake). The boutique hotel is wonderful! The view is amazing , the room is lovely, the dinner was great and the staff (manager and team) are one of a kind. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location just by the garden with breathtaking views and nice breeze. Relaxing atmosphere by the pool. Rooms clean, tidy and spacious. All staff very friendly. specialy Asanka treat you with a smile all the time. Dinner buffet is great with nice atmosphere. Recommended for everyone.

Beautiful hotel, the rooms were lovely and as well the outdoor area. We booked a message as well last min and it was by far the best aryuvedic message, we felt so relaxed and at peace. The food was not the best, but overall great hotel and close to Yala national park.

Stunningly designed resort and grounds + very attentive and engaging staff. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Bathrooms are a whole spa zone in themselves as a step apart from most. Pool and other facilities are excellently maintained. The food was good with a fair amount of variety. Staff were extra helpful with kids. Wish we could have stayed even longer to enjoy all of the extra facilities and spa .
