Rustig gelegen in een zijstraat van de hoofdweg, op ca. 30 min. rijden van Yala National Park. Het hotel ligt in een mooie tuin met een groot zwembad. Alles is netjes en goed onderhouden. Zeer fijne bar en aangenaam om er na een bezoek aan Yala even na te genieten. Ontbijt en avondmaal is smakelijk en verzorgd. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en doet zijn uiterste best om je een leuk verblijf te bezorgen.

De kamers zijn iets verouderd. Op zich stoorde ons dit niet, maar een kleine opfrisbeurt is misschien aan te bevelen.

Nice hotel with good service. Pool was a delight after the heat of the day. Service was great and rooms comfortable.

We moved to the Blue Turtle at the last minute after deciding not to stay at our original hotel, and we were made to feel welcome immediately. The staff were attentive, friendly and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. They organised our safari for us as well as our onward taxi, which made everything very easy. The hotel has a lovely open-plan communal area which is perfect for relaxing and having a drink, and the large swimming pool is fantastic and very well maintained. We particularly enjoyed the setting, with peacocks and monitor lizards wandering around the grounds! The food was also excellent. Everything was cooked to order, with a good choice of Sri Lankan curries, other Asian dishes and Western options. Our rooms were comfortable and each had its own balcony, fridge and kettle, which were useful additions. Overall, the Blue Turtle turned out to be an excellent last-minute change of plan. Great pool, good food, lovely surroundings and, most importantly, genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Hôtel tout simplement magnifique. La piscine dans la verdure est splendide. Le ménage a été fait dans notre chambre le deuxième jour. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Le wifi est performant. On est pas trop loin de Yala. Il ne manque pas grand chose pour que ce soit parfait.

La salle de bain ! Notre tuyau de douche était cassé, et la salle de bain n'était pas super propre. C'est dommage... un petit coup de frais ferait du bien à la salle de bain.

Prima, nachtje overnacht en ontbijt gegeten. Helemaal in orde.

Mooie locatie en schoon. Prachtig zwembad wat met een peuter echt geweldig was. Groot kindergedeelte en groot deel van de dag in de schaduw. Super lekker geluncht 2 dagen. Kamer en badkamer zelf wat verouderd. Douche heeft echt opknapbeurt nodig. Dit ter plekke ook aangegeven en zou opgepakt worden. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en helpt met alles. Voor ons een safari in yalapark (was geweldig!!) En taxi naar volgende locatie.

Le jardin de l'hôtel et la piscine sont magnifiques. Le dîner cuisiné par le chef était excellent. La literie est très confortable.

Le seul petit bémol concerne la salle de bain. Elle était fonctionnelle mais un petit coup de neuf lui ferait du bien.

Schöne Anlage mit tollem Pool. Die Zimmer sind okay. Es hat aber alles, was es braucht.

The property was decent. Clean and quiet. Staff was good. We had to leave early for safari hence they packed breakfast for us. It was basic - a sandwich and packed juice, but okay. When we came back from safari, it was already the checkout time, but they agreed to extend by an hour, which gave us time to refresh and pack.

The location was kind of off-beat. But I guess the whole area Tissa is like this only

Beautiful relaxed settee NG, great pool, excellent helpful staff.

One problem only, our toilet did not flush well.

Pool and garden are beautiful, bed is comfortable, staff is friendly

The bathroom is aweful. After using the shower everything is wet and the water doesn’t flow away. From the shower to the toilet (under and around) the toilet the tiles were yellow to brown due to the residues of lime and dirt. The window is broken and could not be closed, so dozens of mosquitoes came inside. On the chairs on the balcony there are no cushions, so it is quite uncomfortable to sit there. We left one day earlier because we did not feel comfortable at all.

Nous avons séjourné 1 nuit dans cet hôtel pour avoir la possibilité de faire le safari à Yala. Il est situé dans une impasse ce qui rend le jardin arboré très calme. Le cadre au bord de la piscine est tout bonnement superbe, nous étions seuls toute la matinée et avons pu observer depuis notre chaise longue des varans et plusieurs types d’oiseaux ! Le personnel est au petit soin et nous avons très bien mangé le soir au restaurant et au petit-déjeuner !

La chambre était très grande et disposait d’un ventilateur, d’une climatisation et d’une moustiquaire mais semblait un peu "dans son jus". Un rafraîchissement est à prévoir selon moi

Not as fancy as other accommodation around the area but very comfortable, no complaints at all.

A great launching point for our Yalla National Park safari, with a fantastic and huge pool. Our Sri Lancan meal (chicken curry and seafood fried rice) was excellent.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, but did not volunteer information, we had to request it (details for the safari and onward car journey). I suspect that this arises from new staff and will be sorted.

Room facilities are a bit dated.

Nicely located, able to eat a decent meal at the hotel or restaurants are a relatively short walk away. Staff are very helpful and helped us organise transport to and from the hotel. Room was comfy and equipped with a mosquito net

Could do with a better clean in the bathroom

Великолепный бассейн в тихом цветущем саду среди полей и частных домов. Неподалеку единственный хороший ресторан Bistro Yala Restaurant но нормальных магазинов нет. Очень экзотическое место с летучими лисицами на озере неподалеку. Приятный персонал, присылает подробнейшие инструкции по заселению, чуть старые но комфортные номера.

Местонахождение отеля вдали от всего, нужно ездить на тук туке. Дороговато просят за свои услуги по организации сафари.

Beautiful large warm pool and excellent food.

TV didn’t work. Not usually a big deal but big international news at the time.

Petit hôtel de 16 chambres dans 4 bâtiments. La piscine est très sympa et « nageable ». Le restaurant est top et aux prix raisonnables

Emplacement intéressant que si vous faites un safari à Yala … annulé pour l’avoir déjà fait dans le triangle culturel. Rajouter un peu plus de chaises longues … 9 c’est court !

J'ai adoré cet hôtel, tout était très bien, le petit déjeuner excellent et le repas aussi. Je recommande

Great kids’ pool, lovely room with a balcony. Great value for money. Hotel restaurant was fine and basic and did not overprice the food. Good wiifi, good AC and bed. Pictures on booking.com are as reality. We had dinner two nights at The Flavours, a 10 min walk from the hotel; great food and a bit more lively vibe. The walk can be dark, particularly the last 200 m, so bring a phone and use the flash light function. We felt safe (2 adults and one child) walking back and forth even in the dark. Power may go out a few times a day for 5-10 min.

No complaints, all was good. I would stay here again.

Lovely quiet lodge with pool. Nice open eating area and lovely dinner. Friendly helpful staff eager to make our stay enjoyable. Prepared breakfast takeaway early for us before our Safari.

There was a 2nd single bed in the room which made it a little tight moving round in the room.

Friendly and helpful staff. They helped us arrange a car and store our bags during a safari. Hotel grounds were nice and comfortable.

There was a hallway light (outside of the room) that was on all night and couldn’t be turned off. We could hear the neighbors talking until late.

The pool area was lovely and rooms were really spacious and great! Location was a 5 minute tuktuk journey from Tissamaharama, but a little tucked away in an alley.

We got food poisoning from the restaurants chicken nuggets. We told about our problem the following day, but they did nothing to accomodate us. They did not even apologize. We even had to pay for the nuggets at the end.

Very good arranged a good tour of Yala. Good food throughout the stay. Be prepared about the bugs but the rooms were well protected. Nice swimming pool A good smoothie shop at the end of the road which was a real bonus

Abbiamo scelto la struttura per la vicinanza a Yala national park dove volevamo fare un safari, e per la comodità di poter organizzare un safari con pick up in hotel. In struttura sono stati molto gentili e disponibili. Buone cena e colazione, tipiche sri lankesi (ma con possibilità di altre opzioni).

Purtroppo la camera e il bagno non erano molto puliti

È stata una scoperta ottima posizione con una bella pulita Piscina le camere grande ce n’è una colazione l’abbiamo presa da noi molto diversificata e abbondante. personale gentile e molto pulito nel giardino si trovavano tanti vani e pavoni.

Nous n’avons pas vraiment apprécié cet hôtel … la chambre pour 3 personnes était pas très confortable ni très propre ni très jolie. Emplacement éloigné pour le safari de Yala

Instalaciones con muy buen mantenimiento, habitaciones limpias y espaciosas. El personal es maravilloso y la comida/desayuno muy rico. La piscina es grande y disponen de toallas a su disposición. También hay parquing privado.

Cet hôtel a un charme fou, le personnel est très gentil, la chambre avec balcon très spacieuse, nous avons pu profiter de la superbe piscine et des plats délicieux au restaurant ! L’un des plus beaux hôtels de notre séjour je recommande vivement !

Magnifique jardin et piscine , bar et salle à manger très agréables et personnel aux petits soins ! Le petit déjeuner est très bon et l organisation des Safaris par l hôtel très appréciable .

L évacuation de la douche avait un problème et le sol de la salle de bain restait inondé jusqu au nettoyage les lendemains matins.

The Blue Turtle met all our needs in Tissa. It was very relaxing & a haven during the heavy rain that fell while we were there. The pool was particularly good as long enough for laps & very clean. The rooms were big & modern with a pleasant balcony overlooking the pool.

The hotel does have a basic dinner menu. We ate dinner twice & found the food bland & was not good value but with the heavy rain other options not easily accessible. The WiFi was generally weak & at times ceased to work.

Wir hatten ein gutes Zimmer, freundliches Personal, leckere Speisen (auch Frühstück) und eine tolle Location.

Der Pool war minimal ‚milchig‘ als wären viele Personen mit sehr viel Sonnenmilch im Pool gewesen.

Salle de bain très mal conçue : s’il très glissant. Il faut traverser le sol inondé par la douche pour accéder aux toilettes. Nourriture très moyenne.

Very quiet and lacked atmosphere. Quite far from Yala but we did not see much of the local area.

Breakfast / dinner were the best. Chef & all the staff were too polite, courteous and friendly. Swimming pool was clean. Packed breakfast was handed over to us at 4.30 am for the Yala safari ride. I missed the massages but after full day safari that is a must. Lovely Mango tress & lotus pond.

Little bigger rooms for triple occupancy. Hardly any space to move about with camera bags and luggage around. Bathroom door was not closing. Bathroom fittings need to upgrade.

Very pleasant surroundings, peaceful and quiet. Great before the Yala safari the next day, which is about 30 mins away. We were able to leave our bags and have a shower we got back from the safari and after check out time. Very friendly staff. Recommended

Room was a bit tight for 3 people. Ok for 1 night though

Grounds and pool area were great. Room large and comfortable with great balcony. Loved that there were often peacocks and lizards to see on the property and cows being herded past each day. The Arak cocktails were lovely- we indulged a lot! Good location for safaris.

Food was not as good as what we ate elsewhere on our holiday-a bit bland. In general, it felt slightly grasping as a business- lots of upselling. Every time we left our room or returned from somewhere, one of the staff was asking us if we wanted to book in for dinner or breakfast in advance and safaris offered by the hotel were much more expensive than those we ended up booking for the same thing.

Belle piscine et restaurant spacieux. Le jardin est magnifique avec beaucoup d’oiseaux, pains et on a même vu un dragon du comodo! Les moustiquaires sont les bienvenues
