Palm Garden Hotel

Wonderful stay for the price. Our favourite end of town, easy little stroll to the beach. Authentic 'old Bali' hotel homestay vibes. Staff went beyond to help make us comfortable with our baby's sleeping arrangements (I was staying on my own with my 2 daughters). Tried to stay longer but sadly booked out.. understand why :)

I enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the main road noise and close to the beach. The room was large with a renovated bathroom. Lovely big terrace with seating for relaxing and dining. I had my breakfast on the terrace which suited me being a solo traveller

The mattress was quite firm but ok for 5 nights

That they're always so booked up!

Great little gem hidden away between all the big resorts in Sanur. This hotel still keeps old Bali vibes authentic. Yes the rooms are a bit old school but compared to the new resorts we barely had to use aircon since the rooms where so fresh! Its lovely to have the garden right at the door of your room and the location is even better since you can just walk tl Sanur promenade or to the main road. The new japanese restaurant that just opened inside the hotel (different owners though) was also amazing quality and amazing prices. We will come back :)

We don't swim so didn't use the pool. breakfast was plain but well cooked. As we don't swim ,we didn't visit the beach much but we loved the boardwalk going all the way along the beach Loved the new bathrooms.

The rooms an are a great size in the 2 bedroom appointment s. The beds and pillows are VERY firm! And the lining curtains are very dated.

Ein kleines Familiengeführtes Hotel mit 14 Doppelzimmer und 2 Suiten. Wir hatten eine Suite mit zwei Schlafzimmern, zwei Bädern, einem Wohnbereich und einer Terrasse. Das Hotel hatte einen Pool in ausreichender Größe. Zum Strand waren es 5 Minuten Fußweg. Läuft man in die andere Richtung ist man in zwei Minuten an einer Geschäftsstraße mit Restaurants, Läden Wechselstuben und Massagesalons. Zum Icon Bali sind es ca. 2 km. Die kann man am Strand oder an der Straße gemütlich laufen.

Das Hotel haben wir mit Frühstück gebucht. Das Hotel selbst hat keine Restaurantbereich. Allerdings gibt es eine Kooperative mit einem benachbarten Restaurant welches man vom Hotelgarten aus erreichen kann. Die Frühstücksauswahl war sehr begrenzt es gab eine Karte mit vier verschiedenen Frühstücksangeboten. Diese waren auch in Ordnung. Was allerdings absolut unterirdisch war,ist der Kaffee. Dieser steht in einer Glaskanne auf einer Warmhalteplatte und schmeckt nicht wirklich nach Kaffee. Hier sollte eventuell mal mit dem Restaurant gesprochen worden ob es da nicht andere Möglichkeiten gibt. Wir selbst haben dann außerhalb am Strand für kleines Geld gefrühstückt.

We were early for check in and staff were very accommodating, letting us use the pool. Rooms were huge! A bit dated but very clean and great value for the cost. Location is a short walk away from main Sanur beach area or main strip - lots of shopping and food options.

It's an older hotel, so some of the furnishings / beds are old and creaky. Fine for our purposes.

I love this small hotel which feels very personal. It feels like the Bali I know and have loved for the last 48 years since visiting and even though the bathrooms have been renovated beautifully since the last time I visited they have retained the authentic Bali decor I love and have not gone yuppie like so much of Bali has done. Being an older person I come to Bali for the Bali culture so this suits me very well. The owner/manager is so helpful and respectful and I feel like this is my second home and I am returning to friends. As I swim to keep fit the pool is perfect for me to swim laps in every day.

This time my adult son came with me and because the owner was not able to give us two rooms together she upgraded us to the downstairs suite which was awesome. we each had a bedroom which each had an ajoining bathroom and we had a sitting room to hang out in o watch TV together and play games. It was a lovely gesture which both my son and I greatly appreciated. It was the first time my son had stayed in Sanur and despite being in his thirties loved it as much as I do with being able to ride along the beach and as we are both foodies the choice of really good quality restaurants so close to the hotel. It will now be his go to place in Bali too.

Not really anything as this remains in our budget and I would hate for it, like another budget hotel in the same street, to be too renovated so much that it then puts the prices up to double and then making it out of our price range. The only small thing over time could be to add in room safes so customers don't have to sort out their money in the foyer area when they take money out of the safes that are in the office.

Spacious rooms with outstanding decks, firm beds and clean and well designed bathrooms. Excellent location 50m from there beach and main street.

The location is good, short walk to beach, restaurants and shops.

The pool and gardens are lovely.

There is one room that hasn't yet had a bathroom renovation. I was initially given this room. It is very mouldy so I asked to be moved. The staff were accommodating to my request.

Very good location, near the beach. The rest was okay, little bit older looking rooms, but we were okay with that and kids liked the pool

Only fault was that the safe in the room was not a proper safe but a draw that did not lock, but the staff offered a proper safe with them at reception.

They have added a really good Japanese restaurant since I was here last, the pool is big and fabulous with plenty of sun loungers to laze in, the gardens are beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic, a leisurely stroll 2 minutes to the beach left and 2 minutes to the shops right, just watch out for the uneven pavement and bikes & cars ! (like most places in Bali)

Traditional Balinese style small hotel, the rooms are pretty basic but clean and comfortable. Cleaned every day and new towels given.

I’ve stayed at Palm Gardens so many times I’ve lost track. It’s always a friendly family oriented hotel with beautiful staff, gardens, nice pool, good location and well priced.

It stated on advert that it was beach front. It was not. Also said it was short walk to Icon Mall etc. It was long walk and too far for us.

Lokalizacja, ogród i piękny basen. Bardzo dobra restauracja na miejscu z cudownym personelem. Pokoje bardzo czyste, może trochę ciemne z uwagi na małe okna ale naprawdę super się w nich mieszkało. Do morza kilka kroków, do sklepów i restauracji też. Polecam ten obiekt

Het is een hele fijne plek, dichtbij strand en winkels. Ook nog wel een wat authentieker deel van Sanur richting het zuiden. Croissantje bij het ontbijt was heerlijk, lieve bediening ook. De meeste mensen bij de receptie zijn behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

Die bruine deken is inderdaad echt niet prettig, te stoffig en ik ben allergisch voor wol. Stond ook niet op de foto.

I have stayed more times than I can remember at Palm Garden. It’s a home away from home the staff are lovely, they offer breakfast inc which is generous and the gardens and pool are lovely and clean.

Good location to the beach and quick to get to Main Street.

The bed was rock hard and the bedding was dark quilts and Sherpa blankets, the dark and wool makes it feel unclean. The room has dark wood and the curtains are also thick and yellow, meaning the room feels off and dark. The bathroom was updated but needs a good scrub. I had grinding behind my room b5 the entire stay in the days. The room stated there was a safe, but upon check in staff said no, safe is in the office. There was a wooden box with a key, that’s their version of a safe. Breakfast was limited, I went once and instead, went to cafes. Not a lot of staff to be seen, none at the pool ect. My bins were not emptied and no shampoo or conditioner supplied to me throughout stay.

Lovely small hotel with nice rooms. Staff were fabulous and very attentive. Would stay again.

Breakfast was ordinary and you had to go to reception each day for a voucher.

Réservation d'une suite 2 chambres pour 3 personnes : en réalité deux lits doubles collés dans iun même pièce avec un trou au milieu. On a moins rêvé... c'est un peu de l'arnaque !

Es un hotel pequeño que te hace sentir como en casa. El staff es muy amable. La ubicación es la mejor de la zona, a 2 minutos de la playa y con los mejores restaurantes, farmacia y super a unos pasos. El jardín y la piscina son increíbles. Las habitaciones son bastante grandes, la cama es muy cómoda, tienen nevera, hervidor, escritorio, tenderete para secar la ropa y un balcón con mesa y sillas. Recomiendo las habitaciones de arriba y el desayuno en el hotel.

El wifi es lento. Las habitaciones necesitan alguna reparación. Tienen enchufes abiertos, piezas rotas, agujeros, pintura de pared que se cae, etc. Estaba limpio, pero necesita mejor limpieza, sobre todo debajo y detrás de la cama. Las habitaciones de abajo son más húmedas.

Location is great. Walking distances to beach, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good. Staff is super friendly. Our room was big and beds were okay. This is old style Bali hotel and we liked it.

Breakfast options were limited but we were okay with it.

Я жила в разных номерах, в некоторых есть плесень на стенах и потолке, это, к сожалению, частая проблема на Бали.

De kamer was lekker ruim en schoon. De badkamer was afgelopen jaar gerenoveerd en enorm verbeterd. De airco was lekker stil en deed het goed.

Bij het zwembad zijn er te weinig plekken met schaduw. Er zijn vier bedjes direct voor het restaurant, dus daar heb je geen privacy.

The location & old Bali feel makes me highly recommend this property. The staff are warm, friendly & helpful. We left this property with full hearts.

Choice is poor. All grilled food Even toast( they do not have a toaster. No cereal yoghurt juice and only strawberrie jam .

Lush gardens really cooled the place down the pool was large temperature was very pleasant not too warm not too cold. It would have been nice to have some shade over the pool in the middle of the day.
