Great staff nice and clean beautiful towels
No elevator …they are on the high end re price. Not sure if that is warranted. It isn’t a flashy hotel. A well done modest establishment
Stanza pulita
The beds are comfortable. Nice central location in downtown Whitehorse.
Parking is VERY limited.
Location in heart of Whitehorse very good restaurant
Nothing
Perfect location for exploring Whitehorse and especially walking the trail to the fish ladder. Great restaurant in the hotel. Super clean hotel.
AC in room was ridiculously noisy. And speaking of noise, the noise from the Dirty Northern late at night was obnoxious. Even with the windows closed you could hear the drunk assholes at the restaurant. Perhaps the hotel could ask the restaurant to tell their patrons to be quiet.
Perfect location for trails, restaurants, museums etc
Nothing bad
Very helpful manager and staff, location could hardly be better.
Had to walk across the street for breakfast.
Location, very nice room with everything you need
Just needed a little spot for the night driving to Anchorage
Location of rooms from the lobby……needing go down a hallway, where the waiters go between restaurant and kitchen!!! Also noise….horrible…children running in hallway and then who ever was above us, all we heard most of the night and very early morning was the stomping of feet. Will probably never stay there again!!
Welcoming, friendly receptionists, room service, cleanliness, comfortable mattresses, delicious coffee
Great location and facilities
All good
Location is 10/10 on Main Street on one of the most historic places in Whitehorse. Excellent restaurant in the building. Bakery cafe across the street. Friendly receptionists all day long. Good room, with beautiful art. The best thing: the shower! It was so nice to have a big powerful shower after camping. They renovated the bathrooms, so you didn’t have to stand in one of those tiny bathtubs. This was a big walk in shower.
Nothing
The location
The service in the restaurant could use a boost. I was dining alone, and was entirely ignored by the wait staff. It took 15 minutes to get an order placed.....and then I only saw the waiter again when it was time to pay. Not once did anyone stop by to see how things were....and yet the card machine is set for an 18% default tip. The food was very good...just really poor service for single diners. Groups were fawned over, but a single diner? I felt like I wasn't worth my waiter's time.

No elevator. Room super small. Free parking did not exist
Rooms were clean and quiet. Staff in the bar were really friendly and helpful. Front desk staff answered all my questions and helped with my luggage. Bar had great food.
There was no breakfast hence the lower rating than 9 or 10. On Sunday that was a problem to find a place to have breakfast. Fortunately the rest of the days I was able to hop across the street to the Bakery!
Clean and well equipped room. Comfortable bed and great shower. Water filter bottle, Electrical kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and microwave were available for guests convenience.
Quite dim in the room.
Clean and comfortable
Limited parking
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating even though we were early for check-in. They were very helpful and friendly with recommendations and guidance. The hotel itself is very central and within easy reach of everything you need. The room was clean and spacious. Very comfy bed and a great shower. Would definitely recommend
Parfait pour un stop
Gastvrijheid. Bereidwillig personeel om info te geven. Het hotel heeft geen ontbijtservice en dit is een kans waardoor je in Whitehorse de mogelijkheid hebt de plaatselijke horeca, met een uitstekend aanbod, te ontdekken.
Did not eat in the restaurant.
Price is very expensive.
the noisy floors above
Great location
Not a thing
Clean location easy to walk everywhere
Better coffee machine that actually gives you a cup of coffee instead of a wee expresso
Located right downtown, next to the riverside trail. Everything was clean and bright. The restaurant is really first class.
Steep stairs and no elevator that I could see.
Wonderful staff, went out of their way to be flexible as my plans changed, very helpful with everything once I was there, very comfortable room, wonderful location, loved my stay!
I`m very well travelled. Entering a hotelroom typically meens finding something that is annoying. None of that here. Medium sized room. Fridge. Glasses (not plastic ones). Microwave. And a comfy office-like chair in front of a desk. Well done, Edgewater. I`ll be back.
The location, restaurant on site, friendliness of staff, shower
The rooms are not soundproof. You can hear the guests in other rooms, especially in our room next to the stairs.
All staff were so friendly and helpful. It also was a good location.
The basic room was small but ok. Small with inadequate lighting. The door wouldn’t always lock.
Stayed with family for one night. Beds were 2 doubles, which still seemed very small, a little too cozy for 2 adults. I kept bashing my legs on the frame corner every time I got up, bed frames that are bigger than the mattresses are just terrible. I have bruises lol. Pillows n blankets were nice, but the mattress was very firm. The bathroom is lovely, the shower is huge and while water pressure was low, it's one of those rain style showerheads so there's tons of water so that balances out. The extras like the bath robes, naspresso machine with free coffee, creamer and water jug are nice touches. Room is a decent size, super clean and big tv, fridge and microwave. Walls and ceilings are where the building shows it's age. From 2-3am there was a couple we could clearly hear uhm... Enjoying the room? Yeah. Then they were talking n stomping for hpurs. That made it impossible to sleep. Front desk clerk was very polite and courteous. Sadly, how they handled the transaction was not cool. Charging us room and deposit was totally fine. However, refunding that whole bill then charging out just the room was not. Since they said it could take 3-5 business days for the refund to process, they essentially took a temporary double payment. Money we needed for travel. I don't understand why they couldn't just refund the damage deposit? I'd rather be out $100 than $350. So for the sketchy refund, and getting no sleep because of the noise, I have to dock my score. Sorry.
Convenient location, nice restaurant in the first floor, helpful staff, good amenities in the room
The rooms were a bit small, and the street outside was noisy even late at night
The location was perfect! The staff were very attentive and prompt handling any issues or concerns we had. Our bed was very comfortable. Despite the room's tight spaces, it served our needs during our stay.
There was no breakfast provided. The room (#204) is small; specifically, the bathroom's space is very tight with the toilet at the bathroom door. The restaurant was closed during our short stay. Apparently, a water pipe burst the previous week due to the extreme weather conditions. On our last night's stay we had to wake up @5:00AM to take the free shuttle to the airport for our flight. There was construction still going on in the restaurant, which was directly below our room, and the noise went on until 11:00PM (on a Tuesday night). Added to this noise, our neighbouring room's noise was very loud until almost midnight (12:00AM)! After notifying/phoning the front desk reception to complain about the noises, they were prompt in handling the matters.
Great base/starting point for road trip. Cosy, warm room. Lovely art on walls.
Room was quite small - but price was good so not a problem.
I appreciate that the exterior stayed true to its original construction but the interior was gorgeous and classy.
The Edgewater is all it says — and more. The rooms look just like the photos — fresh, stylish, and spotless. The staff are generous, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The water? Let’s just say it’s the hottest in the Yukon. They must have a boiler downstairs! Loved the photos in the stairwell showing the history of the region — a mini museum moment on your way to the foyer. Location couldn’t be better: at the Yukon River and boardwalk, right on the corner of Front and Main Streets. There is a wonderful bakery and coffee shop literally across the street. Yes, you might hear a bit of Main Street’s nightlife through the walls, but that’s just the Yukon reminding you you’re not in a chain hotel. A small boutique hotel that punches above its weight — cozy, classy, and full of character.
Location was in the middle of the city, which is good that it is close to many things, but also meant that parking was just street parking.
The lotion contained paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil) which is not very biodegradeable.
Very clean, staff were very nice and accommodating. I appreciated the Brita of water on the nightstand and a good, clean microwave. The rooms are nicely modern and I appreciate the abundance of easily available electrical outlets...it's the little things.
Great location. Nicely updated rooms
Das Personal war ausgesprochen hilfsbereit.
Whitehorse is beautiful, weather wasn't perfect, but one day it was so nice that we experienced northern lights outside the hotel.
The front desk staff is outstanding. Always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. They have an Nexpresso in your room and nice added touch of real cream in the fridge so you can have a nice coffee in the morning.
All good
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Allowed my dog and was a good place to stop traveling the ALCAN.
Room was nice, walk in shower, ate at the restaurant there. Food was great, as was the service. Location was fantastic, across street from promenade of the yukon river. 5 stars if we hadnt mistakenly gotten a call for a shuttle at 5:30......
Upon arrival I knew we were going to have a good night. This is a high end hotel like they used to have. Very modern and well maintained.i asked for a main floor room and they honored my request! The staff were kind and helpful during our whole stay. We loved being able to walk across the street to the coffee shop and the toy shop was so much fun! Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!
Clean room, helpful staff
My daughter and I spent a week at this lovely hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It didn't bother us that the hotel didn't have an elevator. The staff helped us bring our luggage to our room. The room was nice and the staff always did a great job cleaning it. I loved the hotel toiletries, nice soft vanilla scent. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location was perfect, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and tourist attractions. We had a view of the Yukon River and we even had an amazing show of the northern lights on the pathway across the street.
The rooms are spotless. The hotel is quiet and convenient. The staff is readily available to help and welcome you. They always have a shuttle available at the airport to take you to the hotel
Great location. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. rooms were clean and well supplied. Would recommend.
Nice hotel for the night i was there. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
The rooms are modern looking and recently completely renovated. They're not large but are comfortable and have great amenities. The stairways are narrow for carrying luggage but staff offered to assist. Airport shuttle was welcomed. The cost is bit expensive but typical of the high cost for hotels in Whitehorse.
Friendly staff
Lovely hotel, nice room with late checkout. No lift though so struggled with bags. Also a LOT of overhead noise in the early hours both nights as guests prepared to leave early. Good restaurant and a small car park out back which was handy. Overall pretty good though.
Pet friendly was great. No parking available for bigger rigs or moving vans. No elevators for upper floors
Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean.
Our room was by the back door and people would let it slam. It would shake the headboard at times and interfere with restful sleep.
Clean room/ good amenities/Helpful staff
Room was fine for a one night stay. The restaurant, Belly of the Bison was fabulous! The staff were friendly and very accomodating. The food was absolutely delicious!!
Good stay. Air conditioner was really cold, not sure if it was working properly, but otherwise a good experience.
EVERYTHING! Location was amazing. The toiletries were amazing! Loved that there was a Britta water filter, definitely used that for my water intake! The mini fridge kept my drinks cold and my ice packs frozen. The Shower divine, great water pressure and shower head!
No complaints
Excellent property, excellent dining! Definitely a highlight of our Whitehorse stay.
Had a great one night stay. The hotel is smaller and quiet. The restaurant has amazing food as well as a a nice view. Very kind helpful staff at both the hotel and restaurant. Appreciated having a brita filter and kettle in the room.
Nice
it is very nice passing through Canada , has a very bar & restaurant. very friendly staff, laundry service, working cold A/C , very very clean, and comfy the only downside is there is no elevator but it is worth your while, if you choose to park in the front its free parking until 8am, and there is a tight space in the back right behind the building free parking . overall we would give 20/10 rating. will certainly be back.
The room was very noisy, no soundproofing. A shame because the stay would have been perfect otherwise
The front desk staff were really nice. Great location.
Room was clean and comfortable.
The Interior of the hotel is exceptional
Almost no parking, 7 spaces for compact cards.(street paid parking available). Restaurant at the property not allowed dogs on the “patio” (metal chairs and flimsy table on side of the road) even though nobody else was there. Right under our windows was loud music party till 2am! On the bright side: rooms were clean and renovated. Nespresso coffee and water filter at the room. Nice walk in shower.
Location is excellent.
The price is way too high for what it offers.
View of rooftops was not excellent. Parking was limited and really tight. Staff was amazing, friendly, helpful, accommodating.
Sauberes Zimmer, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, Gratis Flughafen Shuttle
Badezimmer ist klein
The Edgewater is a very well-maintained hotel on the main street. It’s close to everything. One of the best coffee shops you’ll ever experience is right across the street.
Front desk staff were very helpful in getting my cooler fullpf ivc for the journey to Inuvik The restaurant food was amazing Liz
Ideale Lage, freundliches Personal, Sauberkeit, grosse Zimmer, Kaffeebar ab 06:00, gratis Shuttle zum Flughafen
Einrichtung kommt langsam etwas in die Jahre Checkin ohne Mehrkosten erst ab 14:30 möglich
Perfect hotel
Clean modern room
Property is clean and staff friendly. A bit noisy over the weekend due to the bar located next door. But that was not the fault of the Edgewater. Would recommend.
No elevator, but the air-conditioning was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was right next to the river.
Great for a single night in Whitehorse. Good restaurant and vibe in the area.
The curtains would allow some of the long summer daylight into the room. The AC was very noisy to have it on all night.
Cleanliness of rooms and friendliness of staff helped make up for thin walls and tiny rooms.
