The View Rawada Phuket

The location was good for the wedding that we were attending and the view from the hotel was incredible.

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed in all of my travels. The hotel never gave us a key card that we could use to enter our room and required that we always go to the lobby to be escorted and let into our room. The staff noted that someone would always be available to let us in and to our surprise when we returned at 9pm there was not a single staff member on property to let us in. We were locked out of our room and were not able to get into our room. I am almost certain that the breakfast also gave me food poisoning.

Lå langt unna alt mulig, dårlig beliggenhet. Måtte ta taxi hvor enn man skulle. Ble ikke ordentlig vasket av vaskedamene, skiftet ikke på senga i løpet av 7 dager. Utrolig dårlig varmepumpe som vi måtte rengjøre filterne på selv. Dårlig klima, dårlig trykk i dusj. Strømmen gikk en gang på turen. Vaskehjelp skrudde av AC etter endt vask, noe som resulterte i ekstrem varme og fuktig luft. Kjøleskap var ikke mulig å stille på, alt av drikke frøs. Senga var utrolig hard.

The view

Very poor breakfast. Literally nothing except cereal and toast. When the meager amount of hot food does come its like a rugby scrum. Pictures to show expectations versus reallity.Air con leaked water on my book. Television broken, reported and nothing done.

The stay was fantastic. I did a two-week Muay Thai camp at AKA and this accommodation was perfect for it. All the staff were so friendly... The room was large, the shower was wonderful, really good AC, the bed was a bit hard, but I didn't mind. You do need to be able to walk up the hill and it's really steep. Luckily, they have golf carts, so they can take you to your hotel room. But to get to the reception, you need to go up first. The supermarket is about 20 minutes away. There's nothing nearby, so you'll need a scooter or car. Otherwise, you can order a Grab. There's a beautiful pool, a rooftop terrace and a small fitness center. I enjoyed every second here. I want to thank all the staff for making my stay so amazing. I hope to return as soon as possible.

Минусы: – Отель расположен высоко в горах. Без машины или байка добраться невозможно — до ближайших магазинов или трассы пешком не дойдёшь. – Постоянные пробки на пути в центр Пхукета, даже на машине минимум полчаса туда и обратно. – На территории очень крутые подъемы, ходить пешком тяжело, особенно людям с ограниченными возможностями. В нашем случае — жена с инвалидностью, и ей было физически тяжело передвигаться. – Гольф-кары есть, но трансфер до номеров осуществляется не всегда. – Уборка посредственная. Через пару дней перестали докладывать мыло, полотенца — то дают норм, то забывают. – В номере не было зубных щёток, пасты и базовых принадлежностей. Шампунь — один, шапочка — одна на двоих. – Старый кондиционер: шумный, плохо реагирует на пульт, и висит прямо над кроватью — дул на нас, спать было некомфортно. – Интерьер изношенный, мебель старая, местами обшарпанные стены. Максимум на 3 звезды, но точно не 4. – Слышимость высокая: было слышно, как соседи ходят по коридору и топают сверху. – Завтраки вкусные, но очень однообразные. Каждый день одно и то же — быстро надоедает.

The view and some of the really nice staff are the only two reasons to visit.

Old furniture, linens not changed during the entire stay, plates left outside my door for 24 hrs, ant magnet in the room, the phone in my room had no connection and they didn't even bother to replace for 4 whole days during my entire stay.The swimming pool is swimming with a ton of bugs, thanks to the management for accomodating the little refugees and providing them our sensitive skins to infect. Expensive restaurant, tiny portion but food was good. Kitchen and restaurant staff are very nice. The breakfast was sub par, but dinner at the restaurant was very good. had pork chops for 3 nights.The location is on top of a hill, better have your own ride because even grab riders prefer not coming here.The so called daily shuttle service which is advertised wasn't there at all.They will make you wait 30 mins in the lobby before they ley you checkout of the property, apparently they checking for damages with a microscope ! I stayed here for 4 nights not even stepping out of the property had breakfast, lunch, dinner everything don't get wrong but your management is ailing and failing. Thanks to the kitchen and restaurant staff for making my dinner and lunch time worthwhile.

Be ready to pay $15 for lost key card which cost less then $1 and I never met any hotel where u r charged for lost key. Bad attitude and no respect to the guests

Amazing place

Unfortunately the hotel, which was almost perfect other than 2 things. There were bees living in the ceiling lights of my room, many of them. They have me spray at 3am which worked at least. The other thing is that the AC Units are very old and very loud. I would like to have given this hotel a good review, the staff, the view almost everything was perfect.

The room was spacious, comfortable bed and the pool was a godsend. Being so far away from the beach, having the pool was perfect for cooling off. We didn’t drink much at the resort due to the small print of tax and service charges being added to every order. Also if you pre-booked and paid via Booking.com, be sure to check your bank as I was also charged again on the day we checked in. I noticed this a couple of days into our stay and notified the reception staff. They were great and refunded the amount in full in cash as I wasn’t happy about it taking up to 14days for a bank credit refund.

I liked everything

It had a beautiful view. Very large bed. Very large room with a lovely balcony. Overall the whole hotel area was kept very clean. Had a free shuttle to beach. Pool had an amazing view. Restaurant on site.

Room had quite a lot of ants in the bathroom. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Difficult location as had to get a grab/ taxi to go anywhere. Only 1 pool available but website said there were 2.

The views from the room balcony and swimming pool are really nice, Staff were friendly.

The bed mattress was hard, very uncomfortable, the hotel paintwork as a whole could do with updating.

The view, which is just amazing

The view was stunning, half way up a hill, the staff were super friendly and excellent and the food was also good. The room was large with plenty of room on the balcony and it was kept nice and clean. The restaurant menu had a nice variety of Thai and International cuisine and was equally reasonably priced by hotel standards. I had a great stay here :-)

It was a 40 minute round trip walk to the local 7 / 11 store, so factor this in and ensure you have plenty of provisions with you. The walk up to the hotel and further to your room is very very steep, it can be rather tolling. The only desserts following your meal which are offered are little ice cream tubs, they are very nice, but a larger selection of desserts would be great. None of these things would prevent me from returning however.

The room I got the first day was in horrible condition. The lock was not working, and I could not close the toilet door. The mini fridge leaked the whole night, and the floor was all wet. After multiple requests, the staff told me they did not have any other room available as it was fully booked. I had to run to reception to request to change the room, and they only changed my room the next day afternoon. I will never book this property again

The view from the infinity pool was lovely.

Where to start- the location was awful. Most taxi/ bolt drivers hesitate to go “out that far” - had to drive a hardship road really putting a false advertisement of “amazing views” the ground floor left something to be desired. For such an expensive place I would’ve expected way more. (However it it had cost something cheap maybe under 100$ or so I would not be to worried about complaints. Over all it was fine enough for my shorter stay. I was not happy when I over heard a customer complain that the refrigerator was leaking (not just sweat) and flooded his room and they weren’t doing much to fix the problem and just kept saying we are full.

This property is built on a steep incline without a single elevator. Two of our group are elderly and one of us is battling cancer. Just to go between rooms or get to the lobby or pool one must call for a golf cart ride. There is literally nowhere to walk in, around or out of the hotel. We were shocked at arrival to discover this, as there was no mention that we could find in the Expedia listing. We knew we had to get out as soon as possible so we let the hotel and Expedia know on the first of our five days stay we would have to leave early. We finally got out with two days left on our reservation. The hotel never once responded to us regarding a refund, but they did respond to Expedia and let them know there would be no refund for the unused days even though we gave several days' notice and a valid reason for leaving. Stay here only if you want to be trapped on the side of a mountain.

Quiet, large room. Good views, especially sunrise/sunset. Decent pool with decent restaurant food. Good recommendations by front desk staff on what to do in phuket.

Very inaccessible location if not traveling by private transport. Most taxis dont want to travel all the way in. Air conditioner broke down 2 times during the stay. First time water leaked all over the floor, was fixed in an hour. Second time was offered a fan as no engineer was in at night to fix it, and they had no other rooms available. Front desk staff tried to fix it by fiddling on and off with the controls. End up only one air conditioner mode works without making a rattling noise.

Struggled with the hill although there was a buggy available on times for a lift otherwise a good cardio workout. The views certainly made up for it though.

The view part of The View is not a lie. It is situated on top of a hill that looks east over bay. It is high enough that the view is lovely, especially in the morning when the sun is rising -- or some evenings when the moon is rising. The infinity pool is picturesque, and the restaurant overlooks the whole thing. In the evening, there were dozens and dozens of large bats, like squadrons, that flew north directly overhead. The lowest ones were maybe thirty feet or so overhead. I asked my restaurant server whether they were birds or bats, and she said 'bird'. Whether it was a language barrier or her local zoological knowledge is lacking, I disbelieve her. They looked like bats. And they all came out at once at evening... But, I am American and I'm used to our bats that fly around like their drunk, diving left and right for mosquitos. This was some stately bat flying. The bats here eat fruit. So they don't need to fly crazily to chase insects. Honestly, the bats were my favorite part. If they were bats. One consequence of high location of The View and the general quality of Phuket roads, is that it is not very accessible. Lots of guests -- many looking like Russian mobsters with their moll girlfriends -- rented scooters, which is smart. The road up is not wide enough for two cars in many places, and it is quite steep in places. So once you've stared out at the view for several long moments, eventually you go, Now what? There is nothing walking distance. It's like a 45 minute walk past a couple refuse dumps to get to the water, and this part of Phuket doesn't have a nice beach. It is pretty central, though, so you can use Grab to get anywhere in south Phuket cheaply. It is close enough to Chalong Pier, from which depart daily an armada of scuba boats, that a dive shop picked me up and dropped me off for my day of diving. The restaurant is good and the staff was friendly. My only complaint, besides the servers not telling me I was looking at bats, is that there was no spa. Because it had 'resort' in the title, I thought I could get a massage.

A bed

The room was really big, the bed was comfy and it was overall a nice stay. The pool views are breath taking but you have to wake up extra early for a lounger as they have around 8 in total.

The staff, I couldn't work out If they were rude or didn't really know what was going on. Check in was frustrating, it states check in is at 2pm, that's why I booked it so I could grab a shower after my flight, on arrival we were told it would be 2:45 so we said that was fine, I went to collect the keys and then I was ignored stood at the desk, then told it would be another hour for check in. We decided to get food at the over priced restaurant as we were hungry and fed up of waiting, then after we ordered told the room was ready. Make sure you are willing to factor travel time in as it's away from everything. They charge you additional for using your card and don't tell you.

View is one of the best in Phuket. Unreal ocean views. Nice layout of restaurant and pool.

Because of the way we were treated I really don’t like the property and definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

Because I was a Booking.com customer I was put to the back of the queue for rooms. Our room was given to someone else and we were treated like 2nd class citizens. Admittedly, they sorted the room for us on the 2nd night but my son had to sleep on a sofa and only when I asked for blankets they were provided. The room on the 2nd night was dirty and the lamp had live electrical wires hanging out of it. The attitude of some of the staff was disgusting. They really didn’t care about us and for that reason I wouldn’t stay there again.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the shower facilities very good. The view was amazing.

The property was a little bit far from any services (incl. shops and beach), but only 10min ride in a taxi. There were no spa facilities, however they were on the description.

My stay at The View Ramada Phuket was incredibly disappointing. First of all, check-in was delayed by two hours, forcing me to wait for a room. They also asked for a €100 deposit in Thai baht without any prior warning, which felt unprofessional. The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working, so at 2 a.m., I had to move to a downgraded room. The new room had air conditioning that blew excessively cold air, and I couldn’t adjust it. The bathroom was outdated, with an old shower and toilet combo, causing water to spill all over the floor, making it impossible to keep the space dry. I couldn’t sleep at all due to the cold air, and to make matters worse, I lost my sea-view room and was given a dark, cramped room that felt like a prison cell. It was so unpleasant that I wouldn’t even want to be in that room alone, let alone recommend it to anyone. When I reached out to the hotel about the issues, they refused to offer any compensation or even an apology. I will never come back to this hotel, even if it were the last hotel on Earth. I highly recommend avoiding this place. I’d rather pay an extra €50 for a better experience elsewhere.

The value for money is very disappointing. Jacuzzi and bathroom light didn't work when arrived. Fixed the next day. Located on a very steep hill !! You better have a car or scooter. Doors are not properly isolated. Geckos and insects get in the room even when everything is closed. Geckos' excrement are all over the walls and are not cleaned / removed. Rooms are swept and not vacuumed, so the dirt and geckos' excrement are just pushed in the corners. The table was very dirty. I took a paper and water to clean it, it turned black. Furnitures are old and beds are not great. The safe is small and you cannot put a laptop in it. Closest 7/11 and laundry machine are almost 1,5km away. Bolt, is not well deserved in the area. To provide this kind of service for almost a 700€/week room is a shame.
