Gumaya Tower Hotel Semarang

Love every part of this hotel, during all my hop on and hop off hotels this past years, this Gumaya hotel has met a good standard in most of aspects, especially the breakfast. im so suprised find hotel that the breakfast food taste delicious in all the stalls (usually will be too salty, too bland or just bleh..) but at gumaya, we are like travelling to each own traditional food restaurant, the authentic gudeg, the very nice lumpia and ikan bandeng, the warm soto ayam semarang and the homemade jamu and juices. all is excellent.

The Best For Afternoon Tea, Mr. Arif have the best welcome and services, He serve the Screwdriver and Caipiroska in balance composition, get the taste of Vodka as we wish, but if can add more on vodka I believe the taste will be better... Keep the good job Mr. Arif.. Hope to see you on next visit.. And served by You...

Had a really comfortable stay at Gumaya Tower Hotel. Great location in the heart of Semarang, easy to get around. The room was clean and spacious with a nice city view. Staff were friendly, check-in was smooth, and breakfast had a good variety. Definitely a great choice for a five-star stay in Semarang.

Thankyouuuu Gumaya for the service. The ambience was a 10/10. What a delicious meal. The room was also big. And the toilet, room was super clean.

Well equipped amazing experience stay at my business trip to Indonesia. All amenities including rooms, restaurant, gym & pool well maintained. I stayed more than a week at property and it’s really well stay for my business trip.

I had a great experience staying at Gumaya Tower Hotel. The ambience is warm and welcoming, and the staff’s hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent, especially with the Semarang food set menu that gave a taste of local flavor. The hotel also offers impressive facilities, a well-equipped gym and even a golf simulation! which was such a pleasant surprise. Overall, a perfect choice for both business and leisure in Semarang. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at Gumaya Tower when we visited Semarang for my girlfriend’s birthday. It is one of the best hotels in Semarang and the staff and the amenities que simply fantastic. I want to give a special thank you to Vita who organised a great surprise for my girlfriend’s birthday, great service can highly recommend!

Very nice hotel. Cleanliness is excellent and the skyline restaurant is great- affordable and the food is awesome. Highly recommended indeed.

We stayed here for 2 nights. After that we move to another hotel that we usually stay. My husband suddenly remember that he left his pants there. We come back, they said they found it and has keep it. We are quite disappointed that they didn’t inform us earlier but rather, they chose to keep it and wait for us. How about if we have gone back to our city?? However aside from that, we enjoy the stay with executive lounge. My recommendation for the breakfast food to make it more variety as many of the foods are fried rather than a healthier choice.

Stayed in gumata tower hotel, this being my visit no 3 Was in a suite, which was extremely well appointed and cared for.the ird, breakfast spread is great Was very impressed with the staff that seem to be warmer and more effiicient with each visut. Highly recommended

I had an unfortunate experience during my long stay here. After returning from work, I was unable to access my room. I visited the reception to have my room key card reset, but it still did not work. From my floor, I contacted the reception again and was asked to reset the card once more. Understandably, I declined and requested that the front office team assist in opening my room. Unfortunately, they were still unable to do so. A technician was then called, who determined that the battery in the room's door lock had run out. Once the room was finally opened, I noticed that it had not been cleaned, and the laundry had not been collected, with various reasons provided for these oversights. Such an issue would not have occurred if the management had provided clear instructions to their team to conduct regular maintenance, which would have prevented the battery from running out. As a long-stay guest, I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by this hotel.

One of the best hotel in Central Semarang. Very strategic location, Gajahmada st. Nothing to be worried for food - there are a lot, A LOT of restaurants near this hotel. The hospitality, really amusing. Really helpful. The facilities consists of gym and swimming pool. IMO, the gym has a variety of machines. They also have golf simulator, however it is only open to golfer (amateur can't enter). The room itself, absolute clean. The hotel can maintain the room carpets (usually other hotels can't) . They have coffee machine in your room. You can refill your drink as like as you can. Definitely will re-book this hotel.

Value for the price, stay near the city center of Semarang, fantastic location, spacious rooms, very luxurious lobby area, clean place, delicious breakfast, clean water and water heater working well. Thank you Novi for the treatment during my stay. I will be back with my fams

This is not my first time to visit Semarang but it’s my first time to stay at Gumaya. I stay two night here. The hotel is clean, the room is comfort, the staffs are friendly. This hotel location us near from many tourist attraction but not in noisy location so you can take a rest peafully here. The breakfast is wonderful. All food taste great and they have abbundance choice of food from traditional local food to international food. They suprised me with birthday cake, while i didn’t remember it was my birthday. I had to mention mbak Sasha to thank her for her hospitality during my stay. I definitely will stay in Gumaya again on my next trip to Semarang

Great hotel with great staffs, serving F&B in four different location, proper parking access and spaces, it was kid's friendly place including Kids Club, sufficient health related services such as fitness centre and swimming pool, followed up by Guest Relations - Sasa - whom was also kind (disclaimer: personal opinion)

This is my second time staying here, and overall, it's been a pleasant experience. The service is good, the room is spacious and clean. However, the breakfast area was quite crowded, probably because it’s the start of the year and school holidays. Also, the basement parking entrance is a bit tight for MPVs. The staff is very friendly, especially Mbak Sasha, who was very welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!

GRO Novi and the restaurant Waitress really helped me and my family during our stay. At breakfast I was escorted by Ms Novi to find a seat, because the restaurant was quite busy. Explanation of the available menus. I feel like staying in my own home. The breakfast menu is amazing. very kids friendly, popcorn, fountain chocolate, cotton candy If you really like the family hotel concept, this hotel is the best choice for you. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Lovely hotel, always use the Gumuya Tower when staying in Semerang, good location, nice rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, gym and a pool. If you can get an upgrade to the executive floor you can use the facilities on floor 16 & 17 for free.

Best Customer Service !Very clean Hotel

I made a reservation for non smoking room through Hotels.com however when I checked it, the clerk said it cannot be guaranteed by Hotels.com. And she said that to use non smoking room, I had to upgrade to club room. So I had to upgrade it on site with paying 150usd. But non smoking club room also stinks with smoking smell. What's worse is hotel is not releasing my deposit even though I paid all in my debit card. I tried to contact the official number but the operator told me to wait and never connected. Cannot believe this hotel is five stars.

The carpet in the corridor is fairly dirty. It needs a thorough shampooing. Room cleanliness is very good and quite spacious.

Breakfast is poor and crowded. AC so noisy in room, with out of date interior.

Nice hotel located in center of semarang. 20 min from airport

Staff can accommodate early check-in, staff very knowledgeable on places of interest,shopping, All staff (Reception, coffee house,housekeeping,bellboy) very attentive and courteous. The only disadvantage is hotel is undergoing renovation at lobby/lounge area. & the works is very noisy/unbearable during our stint at the coffee lounge But will stay again if I come to Semarang.

The service is very poor. I asked for an iron board and it came after more than an hour later after I called the reception 3 times

Seems one of the best options in Semarang. I liked that the gym was a decent size and the staff were all very pleasant. I did wish they had a bigger pool, but that’s just me. Also the executive lounge is rubbish so don’t pay more for a room with access to that.

it's well kept for an old hotel, although the sofas in the lobby and chairs in the dining area is a bit ages, the staffs are polite and courteous, room is clean, breakfast is good

Stayed for one night. Friendly staff, nice room. The desk staff organised a driver and car for me to do some sightseeing for a few hours. I would definetely stay in this hotel again if I visited Semarang.

This is a very good attention. Modern, comfortable and the staff are excellent. Great roof top bar and restaurant. Thanks to Kiky for the wonderful service and conversation, a great ambassador for the hotel.

The room came with a very dull razor and I could not finish shaving once I started and had to walk around with a half shaven face. For the price of the hotel room they should provide better razors.

really feel confortable with this house, but after that, is a first time and for a last time to meet my mother 3week before she is die.our memories will always be with this hotel and my lovely mother.

Room was bright and spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable. Everything that you would want in a hotel room is there. Few minor niggles that can be improved on. Bathrobe not available in room and also, it was a test to adjust the shower temperature to warm as any slight movement to the handle turned it too hot or too cold. Other than that, this is a great hotel. Everything is 5-10 minutes away.

Enjoyed my stay at the Gumaya Tower Hotel. The room was a bit worn (carpets, lighting) but very clean and very nice. The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel staff were very nice. Above all, the cost certainly made it all well worth it.

The service staff at the counter were great. You can see the professionalism by addressing you by name.they were also accomadative in your request, wherever possible .The best part of it was there was least hassle in checking in and out.

Gumaya is such a well maintained hotel. The hotel is about 10yrs old but it has been renovated recently in lobby and shower area. Overall is was a good hotel and one of our favourite. The only complain is the basement floor is always wet due to pipe leakage and I was fall down because of it.

The excellent service starts from the moment I called their Reservation Department to book their complimentary Airport Shuttle service. Their staffs speak excellent english and that make communication very easy. The airport shuttle service was confirmed in less than 5 minutes. Their room is very big and spacious and their rooftop bar/restaurant has a wonderful and unblocked 360 degree view of the entire Semarang city. The food quality of their in-room dining was fantastic. The in-room dining personnel who delivered the food to my room, even took extra effort to explain to me how to enjoy the meal I ordered. Thumbs up! Even though this is my 2nd visit to Semarang, but this is the first time I had time to properly explore this city. The personnel at the front counter were very helpful to recommend me some tourist attractions and a few places to buy local delicacies like Bandeng Presto. The complimentary wireless internet service is excellent and very fast.

Hotel offers a free shuttle service to the airport every hour, but not very punctual with the timing. The breakfast was very basic. The room was clean m quiet and comfortable

I heard that this hotel is 5 stars. but this hotel served me grey color towels. They looked dirtier than rag at my home. Really it was grey color. unbelievable. and when I checked in, the hotel charged me 300,000 rupia in advance as deposit, but until now ( 3weeks passed) the hotel does not pay me back 300,00 rupia of my deposit. PLEASE RETURN MY DEPOSIT IMMEDIATELY....PLEASE....
