I wouldn’t say this is a compliant but something we were annoyed with. We know it says point of interest on the photo when you click it. But I did not and went to this hotel because I thought it was at the site itself. The beds were also not very pleasing to my back.

The hotel offered beautiful views and a heated swimming pool. The rooms were spacious and having the island explorer bus stop right in front was super convenient! The breakfast was great and there was ample parking.

The is no daily house keeping. We had to go to lobby everyday to get fresh towels. Our balcony had cereal on the floor when we arrived and the room had a slight musty odor. Wished breakfast and the bus services started a little bit earlier so that we didn’t have to drive to the park.

The room had a huge brown stain on the bathroom ceiling. A full size mirror would have been nice. Also the outdoor tables were very worn and shaky, the table leg actually fell off when we sat down. Overall a great little hotel but for $400 a night it could use a little TLC.

החסרון המרכזי היה שלא מנקים את החדר במהלך השהייה, ולא מחליפים מגבות אלא אם מבקשים. ללילה שניים זה לא נורא אבל לא יותר, במיוחד כשמגיעים עם ילדים.

View from the balcony was great and the children enjoyed the heated pool. It’s on the Island Explorer shuttle bus route as well so easy to get into town. Free popcorn in the lobby was also a hit.

I presume most people leaving glowing reviews only stay a night or two but there was no housekeeping so after 3/4 days, the sheets and bathrooms were not great. They do actually offer towel/bin changes but the staff didn’t explain that when we checked in so it took us 2 days to figure out (it’s a DIY situation where you leave it outside - not what you’d expect for the price). We asked about the shuttle to town and were told every 15 minutes (that’s only the afternoon timing so we ended up waiting 25 mins one morning when we could have just walked). On the way back, they should also tell you to get off at Edenbrook. They also had no info about the Bangor airport shuttle even though it turns out that also stops at Edenbrook (we spent an hour going to the stop in town to end up back at our accommodation…) I have a nut allergy and found pistachio muffins in the wrong section at breakfast multiple days so didn’t really partake in the food. Housekeeping for longer stays and basic communication from the desk would have made the whole stay better.

We loved the amazing view, the balcony off our room, and the beautiful foliage. The staff were kind and helpful. Rooms spacious and well lit.

If you are looking for a cozy, welcoming, and quiet place to enjoy a trip to Bar Harbor, ME, save yourself the troubles by not booking here. The General Manager, Bruce Mcnabb, is a snobby, unprofessional, and disrespectful individual that shames and blames others for his own faults and problems. The management within the hotel is extremely poor and the Housekeepers are very underappreciated, better yet not appreciated at all, hence my reason for leaving. The hotel has trouble keeping workers and keeping up with hotel necessities such as linens for rooms and cleaning supplies. This place is so bad employees are arguing over vacuums and tip envelopes. You would think in order to run a business smoothly, a manager would be doing some work, not here! But dont worry, you can always catch Bruce sitting and doing nothing behind the front desk per usual. Im not here to bash the business/owners or share a sob story, just informing future guests about what goes on behind the scenes. Hopefully something changes.

Nous avons apprécié la vue sur l'océan depuis le balcon, le côté très spacieux de la chambre, le confort de la literie et le petit déjeuner inclus. La navette régulière et gratuite vers la ville est un atout indispensable pour éviter trop de frais de parking.

Le côté un peu vieillot du mobilier et de l'équipement et on n'avait pas compris que nous étions éloignés du centre (pas possible de s'y rendre à pied).

Wife got covid. Thats why we left early. No point infecting every one.

The rooms were spacious, the ocean view was incredible. Breakfast, wow very good every day with subtle changes. Coffee, tea, water, 24x7. The shuttle to Acadia and Bar Harbor was also perfect as parking is a nightmare in town

Las vistas fueron muy buenas. Tenía piscina, el desayuno muy completo, se puede rellenar la botella y café 24h en recepción y ofrecían palomitas complementarias por la tarde.

Aunque ya era la hora para hacer el check-in, hasta las 15:30 estuvimos esperando para que nos dieran habitacion y preferimos irnos y volver más tarde porque preferíamos estar haciendo otras cosas que esperar hasta que nuestra habitación estuviera lista. Al parecer es algo habitual en este establecimiento, ya que le escuchamos al recepcionista decirle a otra familia que realmente la hora del check-in debería ser a partir de las 16h. Si esto es así deberían dejarlo más claro en la descripción del alojamiento.

There was absolutely no body wash and No bars of soap like most usual hotels. For paying one week of pay for 1 night i shouldn't have to provide my own soap. I didn't realize this until I actually got in the shower. Ended up having to use shampoo to wash. I have paid a quarter of the amount and had a few bars available for washing hands etc. I also did not i like that we had to wait to check in as our room was not ready for 3oclock check in. I did not say anything about the soap. Because there was no one at the counter When we left the room keys off this morning. Someone was cleaning around the coffee machine and told me I could go ahead and just leave the keys. There was a large water stain on the ceiling tile over the toilet In the bathroom that should be taken care of. Very small expense and should be a quick fix.

The view from the room was great. Watching the sun rise in the morning then going down to have breakfast was perfect.

Good pool (needs repair though as concrete on one side (hotel side) is breaking thus taking sand to the bottom!) with well-stocked pool towels. The balcony was a nice place to seat with friends for a drink/tea after dinner. View from the room is nice as you can see the water and islands (2nd floor and above.) Free coffee all the time (but a bit cold most of the time!) 24/7 free filtered water and ice👍 Location was good: 5 mins (even walkable) to city center.

1. No room service. No one came to change linen or clear your trash from room. We didn’t know (no communication) if we need to ask or pay for it! 2. Outside trash bins were ugly with overflowing trash for hours. 3. AC is effective but noisy.

My family returned to this hotel for a second visit to Acadia. It has great views, breakfast, and nice sized rooms. Our only issue was that the hotel staff left our room open all day while we were in the park (the door was propped open with a bag of new towels they were delivering to the room.) Very upsetting that anyone had access to our room and belongings all day. I didn’t get much assurance from hotel staff that my concerns would be taken seriously so had to go pick up towels ourselves and deal with overflowing garbage cans.

Incredible views from our second floor balcony. Lovely property! Pool was wonderful! We swam everyday. Quiet! Off the main road. We could walk onto town and free Acadia shuttle stops at this hotel.

We felt that a room costing over $300 a night should have been more updated and luxurious—bathroom especially was just blah. It needed a paint job—just all white. We appreciated having breakfast—but it was exactly the same everyday—mediocre—little variety— not even oatmeal, hard boiled eggs or good yogurt.

The view from the balcony was beautiful.

I would have preferred that the rooms would be cleaned nightly and extra toilet paper be kept in the room.

I stayed here many years ago, but not much has been done to it. We stay in an area that seemed to be old and dated.

Great place to stay for a great view and a good size room. I would stay on the 3rd floor or higher. The breakfast is plenty and good. Only issue we had was you had to get your own towels and take care of your trash. Housekeeping never cleaned our room. We requested it for 2 days while we were there. With that said, I would recommend to stay here.

Ubicación privilegiada, con vistas espectaculares desde la terraza. Instalaciones muy cuidadas (jardines, piscina, habitaciones en general). Desayuno bueno.

No había servicio de limpieza de habitaciones. Si querías que te cambiaran las toallas y te vaciaran la papelera, tenías que dejarlas en la puerta de la habitación (que es exterior y da a la fachada del parking del hotel). Lo dejamos a las 9h y cuando volvimos a las 14.30h seguían allí las basuras y las toallas sucias, que pudimos ver cuando entrábamos en el parking, lo que da un aspecto muy feo al hotel, con lo bien cuidado que está. Sugeriría otra forma de resolver esto. Es muy feo dejar las papeleras llenas de basura y cosas íntimas y personales en la fachada del edificio tantas horas. Me sorprendió y mucho. Al llegar a las 14.30h lo dijimos en recepción y nos trajeron las toallas a la puerta de la habitación. Posteriormente, vimos que también tuvimos que pedir que nos pusieran otra cápsula de café para la mañana siguiente. En fin, ... Por otro lado, el monomando de la ducha no funcionaba bien y si tratabas de poner el agua tibia, se caía hacia un lado y te salía hirviendo. No llamamos para que nos lo solucionaran porque estábamos un poco cansados de llamar para las toallas, la alfombra de baño, las papeleras y el café y nos apañamos con el grifo como pudimos.

The highlight of our stay was the breakfast team. Every member of the kitchen and hospitality staff was warm, welcoming, smiling, and genuinely friendly. They provided the level of customer service we had hoped to experience throughout the hotel.

Our stay was a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was not a great first impression. When we arrived and asked about the possibility of an early check-in, we were told it wasn’t an option and that our room was not ready, which we completely understood. However, there was no effort to make us feel welcome while we waited—no recommendations for nearby food, no suggestion to enjoy the patio or a cup of coffee, just a return to a conversation with a colleague. When we returned promptly at 3:00 p.m., the lobby was full of guests waiting to check in and there was only one staff member assisting everyone. The wait was not long, but the lobby coffee was lukewarm and seemed as though it had been sitting out since breakfast. Our room was clean, but the “mountain view” was disappointing. One window looked directly at a stairwell and the other overlooked the parking lot. It was also quite noisy during check-in and again around dinner time. Unfortunately, check-out mirrored our arrival experience. The front desk attendant was sitting at the desk eating breakfast and again did not offer a warm or welcoming interaction.
