L'hôtel est très bien situé, nous avons fait presque tout a pieds, même avec bébé dans la poussette. Les lits sont très confortables et la chambre assez spacieuse pour nous 3. Tout le personnel de l'hôtel est super sympa ! Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Il y a quelques marches avant d'arriver à l'ascenseur pour monter à l'hôtel (cela peut être contraignant avec de grosses valises ou poussette).

Good location with quirky interior.

We have been to Rome twice. We stayed here both times, on the advice of Rick Steves, a world-famous tour guide and host of Rick Steves’ Europe on PBS. Everything is exceptional about this hotel: the location (we could walk to most of our top sightseeing locations), the safety (it’s located right next to the ministry of defense), the staff (exceptionally helpful and kind) and the rooms (clean, comfortable). They offer coffee drinks and other drinks for a very reasonable price throughout the day, as well as a breakfast for 12 euro that is very satisfying and served in a quaint dining area with a personal waiter. Bonus: There is a small concert venue in the immediate vicinity. It is not audible from the rooms. However, imagine our delight in our first evening when we returned to our hotel and heard the faint strains of an opera aria from their romantic outside terrace.

Cozy hotel, nice sized rooms, great staff! Breakfast offered nice pastries, juices and coffee options. While a lift was necessary o reach hotel floor, it was a quaint setting to enjoy a few days in Rome.

My daughter and I stayed there for 4 nights. It was just spectacular. Everything was very quiet and clean. But the best part, was without a doubt the staff. Very friendly and helpful. We asked Mario for restaurant recommendations and all the recommendations he gave were very good. Thanks a lot for the nice atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The location was pretty good. Several of the tourist sites are within a mile or so. The people here are very friendly, and breakfast was included. It was more of a continental breakfast though with lots of bread-type foods (and a killer cappuccino). I certainly want to say, if you are looking for an American-style hotel, this is not that place. It is a typical Italian hotel: considered middle of the road for accommodations by European standards, but not that high by American standards. It occupies the 3rd floor of an older 4-story building. The rooms are cleaned daily. It was extremely hot during our time here, and thank goodness these rooms have air conditioning. Back in the USA we take that for granted, but over here, as in other European countries, it is considered a bit of a luxury, as is ice. I asked for ice water at one of the restaurants and they just gave me a blank stare. This hotel has a single 2-person elevator that is shared by all floors. We were barely able to fit ourselves and our luggage in it to come to the 3rd floor. Anyway, this place was very acceptable. For $360 a night, this is what you get here in Rome during the busy travel season. Keep in mind: no restaurant (other than breakfast), no pool, no business center, etc. We got a suite with a small couch and TV. The bathroom had a single sink with no place to put your stuff (picture a pedestal sink), a very small shower, a toilet, and a bidet. It has an armoire to hang your clothes up in, and some drawers to put your stuff away in.

We loved our stay at Hotel Oceania and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment we arrived, we felt safe, comfortable, and very well taken care of. Our room was exceptionally clean, with adequate air conditioning, plenty of space, and a modern, updated bathroom. The breakfast was one of our favorites from the entire trip, offering a great start to each day. A special thank you to Mario and Carla, who were truly highlights of our vacation. Mario was incredibly patient, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He helped arrange taxis for our group of five, provided excellent recommendations for places to visit, and was always willing to assist with any questions we had. His kindness and dedication made a lasting impression on us. Thank you to the entire team at Hotel Oceania for a wonderful experience. We would gladly stay here again.

After my two-night stay at Hotel Oceania, I wrote a five-star review. I was sincere in that assessment. The hotel offers an intimate experience with genuinely personal service. The staff is attentive, and unlike large big brand properties, Hotel Oceania provides a quiet, home-like comfort. I stand by those comments. However, it is what I learned after my visit that compelled me to rewrite my review. I had arranged two transfers through the hotel. One from the port to the hotel upon arrival, and one to the airport from the hotel at departure. The hotel quoted a price and indicated after I inquired there would be a 5% surcharge for credit card payment. The transfers were handled by a third-party vendor, RIFRA Service as confirmed by the hotel’s proprietor, Stefano Loreti. What I did not know at the time and only discovered upon returning home, is that surcharging customers for credit card use is not permitted under Article 62 of the Italian Consumer Code. The law was designed to protect consumers, so they do not pay more just because they use a credit card. I contacted the hotel to express my concern that I had been taken advantage of. The response is precisely what warrants the rewriting of my review. Mr. Loreti wrote the following response: "I am not entirely comfortable with the practice either. Even when disclosed, it leaves a sour note at the end of an otherwise pleasant experience, and that is not something I take lightly." Those comments are why I feel compelled to post this revised review. Awareness of an inappropriate practice passed on to guests without correcting it is not consistent with what I feel is a five-star experience.

Great location! Convenient to subway, bus, and train station nearby. Staff were excellent! Very helpful and available 24/7. Room was nice size, shower good. Air conditioning very strong! King sized ze bed with very firm mattress. Well apportioned breakfast with good variety—continental. Would stay here again!

Hotel Oceania is a wonderful place to stay in Rome! I have stayed here twice with family. The location is great, and the rooms are charming and clean. This is a family owned hotel that feels like a little home away from home in a big city. The friendly staff go the extra mile to help you make the most of your time in Rome, making recommendations and sharing stories about the city. The continental breakfast is hearty and generous. I will stay here again the next time I visit Rome!

Hotel Oceania was in the most perfect location for us during our stay. Easy to walk to majority of attractions or catch a cab or one of the stops for Big Bus Tours. Safe location and very quiet. One block over also has great restaurants that are open late. The accommodation also had a/c (a must during the summer months) and also provided breakfast at a small charge. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Absolutely felt like home here! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Truly made our stay that much more special. Thank you!

We love Hotel Oceania! The staff is very helpful and hospitable. It’s a small hotel in a great location, near a metro station and main train terminal. Their breakfast is good, and the there’s always some type of music performance happening on the ground floor below the hotel. Our plane tickets got changed, and the staff was happy to accommodate us. We stayed there at the beginning and end of our trip and were happy to do so! It was a very pleasant stay!

Some may not like the older, historic building, but we found the experience to be great. We had a family room with our grandchildren. The bathroom was small and the elevator was also small, but this was not much of an issue.

The facility is beautiful. It’s in a great location near the man train station. We appreciated the history and the attention to the beauty of the building. We were treated well and our early departure was accommodated with breakfast boxes and transportation arrangements.

Lots of stairs. The main floor is located 4 flights up and the elevator is small. We were a party of 6 with luggage for each.

One of the best finds on our recent European trip was Hotal Oceania in Rome. Perfect location near sites, shops and restaurants but off the busy streets. The Oceania is the third floor of pretty neighborhood building (don't worry there is lift). Our family of 7 - ages 11 to 60 had 3 rooms, each one was elegant and spacious with beautiful decor and furnishings. I loved the large windows that opened so you could spy on the activity down below. The lobby and dining room felt comfortable, and the traditional breakfast was delicious. We are all still dreaming of our morning cappuccino on the balcony. Kira and Stefano were excellent hosts; it was nice to meet them. We just loved getting to know Mario and talking with him about Rock and Roll! Marius and Nurai were wonderful and attentive. I can't imagine returning to Rome and not staying here again.

We loved this quirky hotel. It's in a quiet location but only a 15-minute walk to attractions such as the Trevi Fountain and great restaurants. The hotel has the genuinely welcoming feel of a family-run establishment. Mario was super-friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious!

Just stayed 3 nights with my family in this lovely hotel. It’s perfectly located, close to Termini (walking distance) and within walking distance to the city center. Amazing staff and good rooms. Our stay was spectacular, our first time in Europe and all of the staff was so helpful, friendly and just absolutely enjoyable to be around! The staff always had great recommendations for us to plan our days. They we're great at making you laugh, nothing but smiles. The rooms were cute and perfect for my husband and I. Location close to the train station and short walks to most sites. We loved the beauty around Rome, easy to get around and see so much of its history. We loved just getting lost in the streets, the Spanish steps were beautiful! Good food everywhere and such amazing architecture all around! We will definitely have to come back and would definitely stay here again!! The morning breakfast was perfect fuel for walking the streets of rome! Felt like the cost was great and better than many other hotels around the area! Are room was clean and kept safe and clean daily! It was always quiet making it easy to enjoy!

The Oceania is an affordable, quaint, clean, quality hotel. The hotel is staffed 24 hours, and the host/hostess are warm, friendly, an extremely attentive and helpful. The hotel is old, and the rooms, though clean, feel aged. The televisions in the rooms have web/apps so you can watch Netflix, Prime, Apple TV and the like. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, however, they could use an update. The hotel is small and is located on the 3rd floor of an older building and there’s only one older elevator to use if you have bags, otherwise you must use the stairs. The hotel has a great location and the Georgian restaurant next door is excellent. Overall, our family and I had a great time and would most likely stay there again.

We stayed at this lovely hotel from March 14–18 via a recommendation from Rick Steve’s Italian guidebook and it was the perfect place to relax after a long journey from the U.S. The hotel is charming, comfortable, and truly welcoming. Most importantly, the staff was exceptionally professional and kind. Everyone was always willing to help and eager to offer recommendations, and every suggestion they gave us was fantastic. While we were on vacation, we wanted to experience authentically local places, and they absolutely delivered. Mario in particular was incredibly helpful, even calling to secure a last-minute reservation for us. We felt genuinely cared for during our stay, and each evening felt like coming home. It was such a wonderful experience—we would gladly stay here again.

Hotel eccellente accanto al Ministero della Difesa, a pochi passi da Quirinale e Viminale, e vicinissimo anche al centro di Roma. Camere pulite, eleganti e curate nei dettagli. Il personale è gentilissimo, multilingue e crea un clima molto familiare. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Perfetto per lavoro e/o soggiorno. Consigliato anche per famiglie con bambini. Fuori ZTL, parcheggio a pagamento a meno di 100 metri. Fantastic hotel right next to the Ministry of Defense, just a short walk from the Quirinale and Viminale, and very close to Rome’s city center. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Oceania while we were in Rome! First of all, the staff was amazing! Very prompt in their responses prior to our trip and were very gracious and accommodating during our stay! The Hotel was in a good area in Rome. About a 15 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and about a 5 minute walk to the Hop On Hop Off bus. The room itself was very nice. Would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Rome.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Oceana. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and even the Colosseum. The staff was wonderful, and the front desk team was incredibly accommodating, especially Carla. When we needed to extend our stay due to a flight change, they made the process so easy. The owners were also very kind and welcoming. If you’re looking for a truly authentic Italian stay, this is the place. We stayed in the family room, which includes a king bed and two twins, and it worked perfectly for our family of four. Rick Steves never leads you wrong!

The hotel is walking distance to many points of interest, rooms are clean, and neighborhood felt safe But wha sets place apart is the people working there. Staff will ask what time will you have breakfast in order to better plan. One morning when we were going out early before breakfast room opened they had prepared a to-go breakfast for us. Also, on the last day I informed them we wouldn’t have time for breakfast because we were still getting ready to head out to the airport. So, one staff brought us 3 lattes and croissants to our room so we can have breakfast quickly as we got ready. This is above and beyond a million Magnificent Polite, professional, mixed with a friendliness found with family

O conceito do Hotel Oceania é verdadeiramente encantador! Desde o primeiro momento, sente-se um ambiente descontraído, familiar e acolhedor, quase como estar em casa de amigos. A atmosfera pouco formal torna a estadia leve e muito agradável, criando uma sensação imediata de bem-estar. O grande destaque vai para o pessoal do hotel — tanto na receção como no restaurante. Em todos os turnos fomos atendidos com enorme simpatia, sempre de forma atenciosa e extremamente amigável. A interação dos colaboradores com os hóspedes é, sem dúvida, um dos maiores diferenciais deste hotel. As instalações são muito boas, tudo estava limpo e bem cuidado. O preço está em excelente equilíbrio com a qualidade oferecida e a localização não podia ser melhor, facilitando o acesso a tudo o que é necessário. Em resumo, recomendo vivamente o Hotel Oceania. Great small hotel in the center of Rome. A lovely old building that is tucked away from all the noise and bustle of the city. The staff are super friendly and breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again. My room was spacious and very clean!

This is the real Rome. If you are high maintenance and have no interest in an authentic experience, it would be best to look elsewhere. But for the rest of us, Hotel Oceania is charming. Getting to know the staff over our 11 day stay only contributed to its allure. Mario is the quintessential Italian- stylish, kind, and accommodating. The rest of the staff also made us feel completely at home, complete with a packed breakfast when we had an early morning train ride. One of the best parts of my trip was throwing open my window shutters to the crisp October night, and listening to the sounds of an operatic Queen tribute rendition fill the air from the music school below. So Roma! (xo, Christine & Billy).

P.S.: после мы проживали в Милане в отеле 4*, но я бы поставила этот отель выше по уровню сервиса. Единственное, что бы хотелось видеть в этом отеле - американский завтрак (яйца, бекон/сосиски, выпечка, фрукты, кофе/чай/йогурт), завтрак в отеле состоял из булок, булок и булок, и напитков (кофе/чай/невкусный сок).

Хотелось бы видоизменить завтрак. Чуть лучше следить за межплиточными швами в душевой.

Wonderful stay! This was everything we could want from a hotel. Centrally located, comfortable rooms, air conditioning, spotless bathrooms, and a fantastic staff. The hotel is rather basic (not a ton of luxury amenities) but that means they can offer great value for the price (especially compared to other hotels in the area). They do have an elevator but it is small and rather slow (as you would expect from an old building). We didn't have a problem, but something to consider if you struggle with stairs. Stefano and the other reception/concierge staff were so friendly and offered tons of great tips based on what was on our agenda for the day. Rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The perfect base for anyone looking for a comfortable hotel with a great location that doesn't break the bank. Would absolutely stay again!

The hotel was set in a wonderful location close to everything you needed including some delicious gelato shops and restaurants. The hotel room had plenty of space and tall ceilings for our family of four. The breakfast was a highlight - excellent coffee, fresh fruits bowl, freshly sliced mortadella and focaccia sandwiches as well as a selection of cornettos and cake freshly made every morning! Truly authentic and just what we were looking for as a taste of Rome rather than a more commercial - chain of hotels.
