Rooms are pretty old and mine was a little smelly. It's either the ventilation or the furniture - I can't tell but it wasn't what you expect when you stay at Sheraton.

I had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Shantou (Jun 2026). The location is absolutely perfect. It sits in a quiet neighborhood, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep, yet it is incredibly convenient. A popular shopping mall, a famous food street, and numerous local eateries are all within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet was a major highlight of our stay! They offer an amazing spread of both international dishes and authentic local specialties. It was fantastic being able to taste a wide variety of Shantou's famous local cuisine right inside the hotel. The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Additionally, housekeeping did a phenomenal job—our room was properly maintained, spotless, and comfortable every day.

The room was spacious and clean. The facilities were great and the breakfast spread was adequate.

We were informed that it was a non smoking hotel. However as we stepped into our room, it smelt really strongly of cigarettes.

今次是第三次来喜来登酒店住宿，有回家的感覺。大部分人都還熟悉，此次特別要感謝的是前台的黃蘋小姐，办事認真效率好，23樓的紀琳容小姐，溫柔，細心，門前的小弟弟陈伟强熱情，勤快。還有餐廳的眾多員工都對我們很好。下次來還是首選喜来登！

對二樓中餐廳充滿斯待，可惜第一天到達酒店當晚六點多准備去晚膳，等了十多分鐘，整個餐廳一個人都沒有，只好作罷，改去萬象城潮府食飯。希望下次有機會能嘗試大廚的手藝。

各方面都很好！比期待的更好。位置绝佳：走路到万象城三分钟，到龙眼南美食街十分钟。每天都在走路去吃好吃的。虽然是老酒店清洁度也很ok，服务很热心！

游泳池不能用有点可惜。

The hotel staff was professional and tried their best to resolve a critical reservation error caused by Booking.com.

Booking.com failed to transmit my full 3-night reservation. Upon arrival on New Year's Eve with my wife and two young children, the hotel only had us in for 1 night. The most disgraceful part was the complete lack of customer support — I received zero response to my emergency messages during the entire crisis.

The Hotel is kind of old, my first day check in, the room has one kind of mouldy smell, but the hotel is kind enough to change the room for us the next day. (first day they claim all rooms are fully booked)

I booked a suite intended for three guests, but the hotel only permitted two to stay, which was disappointing. More concerningly, on the second night of our stay, a hotel staff member entered our room late at night using a key card without prior notice or permission. This incident was a serious breach of privacy and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

The hotel was responsive to our requests and messages. Special thanks to Ms. Rachel and the reception for accomodating to our request to cancelling one night for one of the 8 rooms we booked. They were accomodating to our needs.The Club King Rooms is big and clean. The housekeeping personnel left personalised notes and this makes us feel welcomed. The location is near to major shopping malls and some of the shops/cafes nearby close late near or past midnight.

Booked 5 night's stay at this hotel because of its good location. There is a large modern shopping mall -MIXC within 5-10 minutes' walk, behind the hotel. The buffet breakfast is good with a mix of Shantou and western cuisines. The hotel staffs are helpful, especially the duty manager who had assisted us to change the room to non-smoking room and had a large air purifier placed in the new room after we feedback.

There is always bit of mouldy smell in the rooms and the corridors. It's also very peculiar that the toilet door in the rooms cannot be locked. Was checked into a smoking room even though we have specifically requested for non-smoking.

Vicky at reception was very helpful and gave us free vouchers to the bar and a nice upgrade !

I am very satisfied with this hotel. The staff at the front desk could communicate with us in Cantonese during the check-in process. He also upgraded our room. We asked the hotel's check-out time the night before check-out, and the staff immediately took the initiative to delay our check-out for us, but in the end we did not delay check-out. The staff took the initiative to help and friendly. Although this hotel is more than ten years, it has been well maintained. There is no odor in the room and no sewage odor in the bathroom. The overall room is very satisfactory and the bed is very comfortable and also exceeding my expectations. There is a large shopping mall nearby, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. We had buffet dinner at the hotel on New Year's Eve. Although there were not many varieties, the price was reasonable. Some of the seafood was not too fresh. I hope the hotel will improve it. I stay again next time.

The friendliness of the staff who were also very helpful when I needed to find superglue to give a quick-fix for a broken luggage handle.

Sheraton has always been one of my favorites. The one at Shantou impressed me with awesome customer service skills along with its beauty and convenient location. We were there for the Cheo Chau event and everyone had a wonderful time. Room was larger than other hotels we have stayed at in China so that’s always a plus. Buffets had a fabulous selection of American and Asian cuisines. Hotel is located at a very convenient area with shopping and courtyards nearby. Overall, I am very thankful we stayed here. Special thanks to General Manager Eric. He took great care of all of us who were there at the event.

The best hotel in Shantou just got better. The Sheraton Shantou Hotel (now operated by Marriott) provides the ultimate experience for those visiting or doing business in Shantou. The rooms are excellent, the breakfast is awesome and the location is perfect. This time, I also enjoyed the services of the Club Stay which provides access to the Lounge on the 23rd floor. Open from the early hours of the morning until late at night with snacks and beverages, light meals at lunch and dinner times, and the best view. Above all is the Longe staff - especially Eleven (that's his name) - professional, polite, very helpful and quick to assist in any way possible. Thank you Sheraton / Marriott Shantou and thank you Eleven - what a great experience!

Our family of 8 stayed in the family rooms and everything was perfect! It’s well located and the hotel staff was helpful in all aspects - from being flexible and helping find solutions when our credit card was denied to offering treating us a meal when we were short of cash, and even helping us with a banking issues after our stay. Would highly recommend a stay there.

Breakfast was fair. Staff was friendly and helpful or may be we ate at the executive floor.

The bell boy was not very polite. We had two rooms because we travelled with friends and he just randomly put the languages into the rooms without asking us while we were standing next to him.

Location was great & food/shops were easily accessible by walking, close to hotel. Reception staff were very friendly, helpful & caring. Room was very comfortable & clean.

I arrived here late at night night .ai mean early in the morning but had a-warm and friendly welcome Friendly staff and kind people you are surrounded with .despite we had an internet but then realised I needed a VPN to use google or whatsap. On my way to Taizhou I had to stop. Daaamn flight was cancelled
