Good service, strategic location, highly recommended for Gaya night market and morning market. Shuttle to airport provided too!

Thank you for providing me with the best hotel stay in Kota Kinabalu. I have returned safely to my home in Japan. I am very grateful to the room cleaning staff, reception staff, doorman, everyone treated me with a big smile and friendly and kind every day. I am very glad that I chose Mandarin Hotel. Strategic

Everything was walkable distance. Despite it being crowded on the weekend due to some market....still could sleep well.....it was a good trip. Will definitely stay here again. Good for solo travellers as it was an option for a single bed.

Ok hotel centered on old area of kota kinabalu. Staff was very nice. Room was average with some updates. Has refrigerator but also has slot that room key must be inserted in for electricity to work. When you take key and leave room refrigerator has no power. Why have refrigerator? Hotel was quiet but hallways smelled like cigarettes. I think there are better choices in KK at this price point.

地點很好，就在加雅街附近，走路10分鐘內就能吃到很多沙巴美食。住宿的價位平實，內部應該有再整修過，感覺比年初住的時候新。服務人員也很親切週到。房間大小適中，以純住宿來說是個不錯的選擇。

週末の夜市、朝市をやってるGaya通りが目の前に有り、買い物、街の探索に便利な場所に有る。またコタキナバル空港行きの無料トランスポート車両を手配してくれるので助かる。

Walking distace from main pier and bus station. Not far ride from airport. Staff were all wonderful. Would stay again 100%.

위즈마 메르데카, 필리피노마켓, 선데이 마켓등 코타키나발루 여행시에 왠만해서는 들려야 할 곳들이 모두 도보로 10분내에 있어, 첫날 밤비행기라면 잠깐 쉬고 바로 여행을 시작해요. 특히 선데이마켓은 바로 옆 길에서 열리기 때문에, 일요일 새벽부터 바깥에서 노래부르고, 사람들 소리때문에 일찍 일어날 수 밖에 없어요. 청결함도 양호하고, 직원분들도 항상 웃으면서 친절하게 대해줘요

위치적으로도 많은 걸 볼수 있고, 먹을수 있는 위치고, 직원들도 정말 친절했습니다 ㅎㅎㅎ 다른 호텔보다 훨씬 대접받고 안심할 수 있는 호텔로 느껴졌고, 객실상태도 좋고 에어컨도 잘 나왔습니다. ㅎㅎ 가성비 강추입니다!!

初日と最終日に宿泊しましたが、最終日の部屋は冷蔵庫がなかったので残念でした。

새벽비행기라 다른호텔 체크아웃후 가성비 호텔로 잠깐 묵은 호텔이였습니다.비교적 청결했고, kk마트, 센터포인트몰, 깜풍아이르 등 걸어서 갈수 있는 위치였습니다. 오만원 지폐를 디파짓으로 낼수 있어서 링깃 소모에 유용했습니다. 단점이라면 방음이 잘 되지 않고 주변 소음이 심했습니다.

Location is good but too noisy even we closed the windows, and someone ate durian in the hotel.

새벽 도착용으로 저렴한 숙소로 좋아요. 바로 앞에 썬데이 마켓, 유잇청, 이펑락사 등 맛집도 있어서 지리적 이점이 굿. 다만 룸에 특유의 냄새가 나네요.

거리가 다들 가까워서 좋고 킹사이즈침대 방 가성비 괜츈합니다. 저렴하게 잘 놀다가 갑니다. 디파짓 오만원 짜리도 받네요.

The hotel is very close to the city center (Jetty, waterfront, night market, good restaurants). The staffs were very nice and happy to switch rooms for us upon request. Room view was not very nice, though, but admittedly it is hard to find a good view with how buildings in KK are placed.

새벽 도착 또는 출발일 경우 묵기에 정말 좋은 호텔 같아요. 생각외로 룸 청결도 기대 이상이였구요 따뜻한 물잘 안나온다고해서 걱정많았는데 엄청 뜨겁게 오랜시간 잘 나왔습니다. 주말 밤에는 호텔 바로 앞 나이트마켓 열려서 볼거리도 많았으며 아침에도 플리마켓 열리더라구요. 바로옆에 편의점있어서 너무 좋구 제셀톤이나 그 옆 몰까지도 걸어서 갈만한 거리에 위치해 있습니다.

Excellent location! Within 10mins walk to everywhere (shopping Mall, recommended restaurants, durian street, seafood market, and seaside). Next to Jalan Road Market which has popular restaurants. The staff are nice and able to speak English and Chinese. Always have staff open the door for us and press the elevator. Need to pay 50RM tourist tax on site and 100RM deposit (5 nights). Remember to take enough cash.

Soundproofing between rooms is very poor. Other than that, the room is clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is awesome. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

장점: 근처에 마트 , 상점들이 많다. 코타에서 묵었던 곳 중 직원들이 제일 친절했다. 다른 호텔보다 수건이 제일 깨끗했음. 단점: 주변 소음이 큰 편. 밤 비행기라 반나절만 있어서 상관은 없었다. (옆 방 소리도 잘 들린다.) 조명이 어두워서 화장하기엔 조금 불편. 냉장고가 없다. 아침7시부터 오후 5시까지 무료 공항셔틀이 있지만 한국 비행기 시간과는 맞지 않아 이용 못함. 공항까지 그랩으로 10바트.

所有東西都很好，希望wifi能不斷線

徒歩圏内に空港バス乗り場があるのは便利。 冷蔵庫がないのは残念。 愛想の良いスタッフが多い。 値段を考えれば悪くない。

２回目の利用。スタッフも親切で、立地も良く安心して利用出来ます

Good location

The Mandarin was the perfect location, the staff were all lovely - so friendly and helpful. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager who gave me some great advice, I booked for 2 nights and stayed for 3! If you need a comfortable base in KK because you’re out exploring then this is perfect. Small, compact but perfect for me a solo traveler wanting to spend my days exploring. My bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely!

가성비좋음~특히 위치는 좋음 공연이나 행사시 밤 11시까지는 시끄러움

The location is good- walking distance to markets, waterfront, ferry etc. Staff is very nice. The rooms are a little small and feels cramped and the window is small, but the bathroom is very modern and excellent.

Great place to stay if you're here for Borneo Marathon. Shuttle bus pickup point is a walking distance away. Additional bonus, free transport from Hotel to Airport on checkout day. Lots of activities around the hotel area, walking distance to Gaya Street.

It was good. Location next to alot of great food and mall. Except late night karaoke and friday pasa malam and Sunday mkts either keeps us awake or wakes us too early.

スタッフの笑顔と接客が素晴らしい。 オーナーもとても親切。 各地方へと行くタクシー乗り場のすぐ近くで、コンビニも近くにあり立地が良い。 またぜひ利用したい。

진짜 너무 만족한 호텔. 이제껏 다녀본 여러나라 호텔중에 가장 깨끗했다고 장담할수 있다. 심지어 직원들도 정말정말 친절하고 사무적인게 아니라 진심같아서 호텔에 묵는 동안 너무 마음이 좋았다. 딱 한가지 단점이라면 바로옆이 가야스트리트여서 (선데이마켓 열리는 곳) 일요일이 아니어도 평일에도 밤 1시정도까지 밖이 상당히 시끄럽다. (어디선가 매일 노래를 상당히 크게 부른다..) 처음엔 좀 짜증났지만 진짜 이것빼고 모두 다 너무 만족스러워서 개인적으로는 좋았다. 소음 예민한 분들은 고민해보시궁.. 아 참 그리고 가장 마음에 들었던 점은 바닥이 카펫이 아니라 마루바닥 이었다는 점이다. ㅠㅠ 본인은 천식이 있어서 어디 호텔을 예약해도 항상 바닥이 카펫이어서 고통스러웠는데 여기는 바닥이 마루라 더 깨끗했던 것 같다. (재채기랑 콧물이 안 나와서 정말 좋았음!) 하..진짜 뭔가 말할게 너무 많은데 암튼 난 다음에 코타키나발루 또 오면 100% 확실하게 여기에서 묵을 것이다! 만다린 짱!

出門就是加雅街周日市集，而且沿路很多食店，可以食到當地食物，十分方便。員工服務效率高，收拾房間時漏缺用品，打電話到前台不用5分鐘就拿到房，當你懶洋洋在房間，不想出門，還會主動問要否清潔房間。服務很讚！

Centrally located, walking distance to Suria sabah, jetty for island hopping, gaya Street market is right in front. The staff are proud of keeping the hotel rooms clean and I really appreciated that. Wonderful house keeping. The only things that will make this stay better is to have a more efficient hot water shower system. Water needs to run for a while to get heated. Also, rooms can get noisy due to neighbours slamming the doors or talking along corridors.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall the room is clean, spacious and comfortable.

KKの中心に位置し、多数のレストラン、ショッピングモールが徒歩圏内です。ホテルのそばで日曜の午前中にはマーケットが開かれます。 部屋は狭いものの清潔です。壁が薄く、隣の音が聞こえるのが気になる点です。

Clean and renovated, nice hotel. Only the aircornditional is old, not cold but they fixed it even late at 12am. We are satisfied of our stay!

From moment of arrival, all staff were extremely accomodating and friendly. They all spoke good English and went out of their way to help. Located in a central downtown area, so a quick walk to any number/choice of breakfast and dinner eateries. It's a small budget priced hotel, so amenities are accordingly, such as no breakfast room, but everything needed is there, and in excellent condition and cleanliness. Very comfortable and spacious room with fridge and safe, and comfortable bed. If in Kota Kinabalu, we would most definately stay again, as Mandarin suited our needs perfectly.

The king bed was comfy. AC worked great. The markings for the shower water temp. were incorrect. Staff was friendly and helpful. The common areas could use some refurbishing. Close to Jesselton Point and is in the Chinatown area. Chinese and Malaysian restaurants around the corner. Coin operated laundry a ten minute walk and is close to night market stalls.

We stayed for three nights, and we enjoyed a very clean room and especially friendly staff.

had booking for windowless room so decided to pay a small price to upgrade to a better room which im glad i did. pleasant hotel ,comfortable bed and good shower pressure. wifi worked well. walking distance to waterfront and shopping with so many eateries to choose from. Location - About 10 mins walk from jesselton point and right next to the night markets. The Sunday market is also right on the door step and well worth going to. Room was very clean and cleaned every day. Air con was a little loud but did its job well. Good bathroom with rain shower. Very clean and towels and toiletries replaced daily with the cleaning. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Willing to offer advice. Free airport shuttle is a nice bonus. Its not 5 star and no frills and there is no breakfast but would definitely stay at this hotel again. Excellent value for money.

Its a great location a walking distance to a shopping mall and the Port where you can go for snorkling and all. The staff is wonderful where they greet you every single time you step through the door. It makes me feel welcomed all the time. Wifi is slow but then again that shouldnt matter because you should be exploring the town instead. Also, its right beside the gaya night market which is fantastic.

A very good service and friendly staffs, they were greeting me whenever I went through the main entrance. The room was clean and comfortable, room keeping twice a day. But the sink water was going slow to me. I booked in the afternoon same day as I checked in. Upon my arrival, they took some times to check on my booking. I booked for staying two nights. I had an uncomfortable sleeping night for my first night, so I requested to change to other room the next day. They were quick respond and good service due to my request. Also, they allowed me to view the room that I was going to change to before I was ok to move. I had a great sleeping night for my second night. The staffs were concerned on the comfortableness and any issues or request when you stayed in the room (they called to ensure everything was ok) and checked out. I was really appreciated and thank you to the staffs, especially thanks to Michelle (one of the front staffs, if not mistaken the name). She is helpful, to help to call a grab car for my next destination. The hotel is just in front of the gaya street Sunday market. And there are walking distance to Suria Sabah shopping mall and other restaurants or food stalls. It is convenience. I'll definitely recommend to others and friends.

Staffs are so polite and friendly, free van to airport is a huge plus when picking hotel in Gaya street.

Stayed in Superior room 9105 at first floor. Photos on website is misleading as the room is not as big as shown. Hope to see more secured windows or grills installed for rooms on first floor as they are quite accessible from latch outside. That's why I put down "High Floor Room" as Special Request during booking, unfortunately, I didn't get one. Location is great but be prepared for the traffic noise as Gaya Street is a busy street. Check-in/out is easy and efficient. It is just strange that hotel didn't replace face towels. Overall, great place to stay if you are looking for central location, basic accommodation, value for money.

+The room is big and clean. +Got free ride to the airport. - the hotel staff couldn't give us details of the sightseeing places - the hotel staff quoted us higher taxi price which turned out way cheaper when we took on the road

Stayed just one night, with a very early check-out so couldn't take advantage of the free transfer to the airport (they only offer the service from 7am). Friendly staff and comfortable room. The central location is great for shops and restaurants, but also lots of late-night noise (still shouts and screams in the street at 4.30am but it was close to Lunar New Year!)

This hotel is in a good neighborhood. Very convenient and close to major roads. Close to a nice craft market on Sunday Morning.

Only the Wifi was slow, even sometimes was not working.

We had a pleasant stay, the staff and manager were very efficient.

Perfectly located at the head of Gaya Street. The staff are wonderful and courteous. Winnie was particularly kind to me, and I had a very enjoyable experience. The beds were the most comfortable I've slept on for a long time. I wish the view from the windows was a bit nicer, but that's the only bad thing I've got to say.

Great location, renovated hotel, close to everything: Jesselton jetty, bus terminal to Mt. Kinabalu, restaurants and modern huge shopping mall (if needed) Really recommend! The only minus that it is close to the bar with live music.. But maybe only during the weekend?!
