City Garden Grand Hotel

The staff was nice, they changed my room when I mentioned the noise in floor 16th from the traffic.

Even at floor 24th I could hear the traffic. Rooms had an unpleasant smell. There ate only 3 elevators that are very slow.

Very good hotel in the mid-tier section. The rooms are really clean and well maintained. Loved the real wood floors in the room. Even a window can be opened a bit for some “fresh” air. Not seen that in a hotel in the Philippines. Breakfast was massive and tasted really good. Staff was really friendly. Dining was also good. The rooftopbar is wauw. The swimming pool has a primairy use for the selfie-lovers. Free parking! Altough the climb up needs a driver with steel nerves. Would stay here again!

If I have to be picky…the soundproofing is not the best. The windows are made of single glass and let some noice from the street in. The airco is next to the bed so you feel the draft in bed. But that is me being really really picky. For this pricepoint it is a nobrainer.

We had a wonderful stay at City Garden Grand Hotel and was especially happy with the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, and they really made us feel comfortable and well looked after. A special thank you to Bench, Emann, Ken, Jaycee, and Hannah for their kindness and excellent service. Each of them was so helpful, warm, and accommodating, and their genuine care made our stay even more enjoyable. They are truly an asset to the hotel.

One area that could be improved is the space at the front entrance for vehicle pick-up and drop-off. There isn’t much room to stop, so guests can feel rushed while loading their luggage into the car, especially when other motorists are waiting behind and honking or calling out. Having a little more space or a better-managed pick-up area would make arriving and departing much less stressful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the wonderful staff. Thank you to the whole team for making us feel so welcome. We would happily stay here again and recommend the hotel to others. ❤️

Wow... We have so great vacation. Everything was excellent. The location, the room, the crew was amazing. We celebrate our birthday and they arrange everything including wine, cake, balloons... And all without any charge. So kind and helpful stuff. Turol and Rufan and all the other crew made our stay so wonderful. Thanks for everything 🙏

Breakfast was nice

Affordable, good restaurants in area and location has active night life.

Room and breakfast were great. The place is also surrounded by convenience stores and other restaurants late at night. The Firefly roofdeck also provided great food and a great view.

I believe there was a seminar/event at the day of our stay and most of the attendees booked at the same hotel. It resulted with the elevators being congested and long wait times.

While checking in and checking out the male staff member was quite rude regarding my filipina partner of 4 years. May have someting to do with the location being close to Burgos St a well known red light district.

Todo el hotel me encantó. Los trabajadores increíblemente amables, te reponían los amenities tras cada limpieza. El hotel estaba muy limpio, la situación del hotel a mi me pareció muy buena, es cierto que es muy pegado a lo que podríamos llamar "barrio rojo" pero no es un sitio peligroso ni de lejos. Otra de las cosas que mas me gustaron, fue la piscina y el jacuzzi. Espectaculares vistas las que tiene en la última planta del edificio.

El único pero que le pondría, es que se escuchaba demasiado a veces los pasos de la habitación de arriba. Lo que comenta mucha gente del ascensor, a mi no me pareció para tanto, como mucho esperas 5 minutos alguna vez, pero no mas, no es exagerado.

El hotel en sí está bien, con buenas vistas y buena zona en Manila. Sin eso en cuenta, se queda corto por otros motivos.

Los ascensores dan bastantes problemas y las esperas se notan. Pero lo que más pesó fue la gestión de una cancelación que pedimos por un motivo médico: la respuesta fue fría, nos exigieron un justificante y nos dieron como plazo las 14:00 del mismo día, sin más margen. Tuvimos que cambiar todos los planes y quedarnos los dos alojados ahí cuando la idea inicial era que solo se quedara una persona; el ingreso hospitalario fue al día siguiente.

This is a good hotel.

There is no railing to hold when you enter the pool & jaccuzzi. For people over 50 this creates a real and present danger as the steps are steep. Very easy to slip....very easy to 8nstall a railing like in every other pool in the free world

Room was decent and good size. Clean. We ordered room service and they were quick and prompt. Pool was nice and gym good service too. Easy to check in.

Over all area was quite noisy. Even on 20th floor we could hear a lot of sirens and horns

The service, early check in, and I was able to put my frozen items in the kitchen- which is a plus for me. The breakfast is phenomenal!!!

One of the best hotels I've ever been to. I mean the service, the service we received, the cleanliness, and the professionalism. Everyone is truly helpful, and you feel great. The rooms are cleaned every day, and everyone is there to help. Absolutely fantastic. I haven't encountered such service in the Philippines in a long time. I've lived here for nine years and have traveled and seen a lot in the Philippines. This hotel deserves 100 stars, not ten. Thank you very much.

Le restaurant avec place fumeur ainsi que la piscine. Le personnel très agréable ainsi que la salle de sport.

Hôtel plutôt pour le travail et non les loisirs. Le petit déjeuner trop cher pour la qualité proposé. Il y a un centre commercial a 20m de l'hôtel proposant Starbucks ou autre restaurants a des prix plus abordables.

Todo fue espectacular. El servicio, la habitación, las instalaciones y la ubicación. Nos habían hablado mal de Manila pero llegar a este hotel fue todo un acierto. Aprovechamos para desayunar y tienen una amplísima variedad de todo tipo de platos. Sin duda si volvemos a Manila nos alojaremos en este hotel.

Fui en temporada baja, época de tifones por lo que el primer día nos encontramos la piscina cerrada. El segundo día la abrieron porque mejoró el tiempo pero al estar en la última planta (32) hacía muchísimo aire y no invitaba a bañarse.

It’s in a very seedy location. Didn’t feel safe in the surroundings. A woman was shot and killed outside the hotel at 6 pm a week or so after I stayed there.

Very efficient and polite reception. Amazing breakfast buffet and super spacious room! Great location too with a lot of restaurants around.

We loved our stay. The hotel is in a great spot, close to food places, malls etc. It is on the main road so its busy and abit of a noise but its not too bad. The elevator is abit slow but not too bad.

Cogimos el hotel por la piscina en la terraza y estaba cerrada por lluvia.

We had a blast! Manila was always a city I tried hard to skip, but this time we had a ball! The food (dinner) at the top floor was awesome, and the breakfast buffet is unbeatable! They had all my favourite food - food I had missed so much living overseas. The staff were exemplary, specially Lovely, who made us aware of a special promo that got us upgraded to a suite on our return! We will try the pool when we return, when we rebook.
