Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The staff were friendly and we loved that breakfast was made to order. It is also really close to the plaza and main street with many dining options and artisan shops.
Great location with a Spanish colonial feel
Absolutely recommend if you are looking for an authentic experience in stay, food and over all Mexican hospitality. This is not a luxury resort it’s your home away from home! Loved it and would stay here again any time.
Nice B&B in Great location. Lovely courtyard.
Rosa Morada is a cute B & B within walking distance of shopping and restaurants and site seeing
The property is old but very well keep the rooms are very spacious we love the garden the staff is very welcoming breakfast was excellent, definitely recommended this place
Great place
Good local ambience. Friendly, helpful staff
This hotel is close to everything I highly recommend it.
Great location only a couple of block to all the shops and restaurants! The on site restaurant was very good. There is a parking lot across the street if you happen to rent a car. I would definitely stay here again!
Very nice place I would go back to this place Nelliev
Fantastic Bed and Breakfast Hotel 1block away from the famous Tlaquepaque shopping street if Independencia. Owner and staff are fabulous. The rooms are stylish on unique! So much better than a run of the mill hotel. The courtyard is delightful with a well maintained garden. You will enjoy it here. We will stay here again in a heartbeat!!!
We had a great stay! The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy and we were given a nice welcoming cocktail when we arrived. The receptionist, Alejandro, let us park our car in front of the hotel and watched it overnight. They also arranged a delicious breakfast of yogurt with fruit and granola ready for us to take to on our flight the next morning at 4am. The hotel is located near the center (just a short 5 min walk) and many popular restaurants such as Casa Luna which we visited. There is also a parking lot right across the hotel which closes at 11pm. Overall it was a great stay and we highly recommend!
The property was as advertised and met all of our expectations. Very quaint with a nice outdoor patio and nice vegetation. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location close to the great shopping for local artisan wares, walking and taking in all of the street scenes. Used the driver from the staff for transportation to the airport for a nominal price-very convenient. Enjoyed the breakfast and had a gourmet type great burger for lunch. Overall an excellent value for the price. We would return.
Location was great, 1 block fr central square. Beautiful garden area leading to our room. Was simple but lovely and very clean; bed was comfortable. Owner Hector spoke English, and gave good recommendations. Breakfast was tasty and filling.
I have stayed in other hotels in Tlaquepaque and cause the one I have stayed the past was booked, I choose this one with the next best rating. I was not disappointed great location, wonderful service, breakfast was Great the Chef comes out to greet You take your order. Small place in a Quiet relaxed/ pleasant time spent there it will be my Go to Place in the Future..
The property is beautiful, peaceful and the environment is quiet.
Good value and location within easy walking of shops
The fixtures in the rooms are very unique. 4 poster beds. Very comfortable and quiet.
So my friend and I booked this trip last minute and seen this hotel very close to the plaza of tlaquepaque. The hotel seen nice, cozy and clean online. We got there and the service was good they were very nice to us and told us places to see and visit but one day my friend and I woke up had bkfast which was good and headed out for some site seeing. Two hours later we come back and I noticed my luggage was open. Then I looked in my wallet and seen I was missing 2000 pesos. I left my bag in my room and only took a side purse with some money and a few things didn’t want to carry much. Since I seen the hotel wasn’t bad and seem the people were nice. It was the worse decision to make. Someone went in our room while we were out and stoled money from my bag. After that our trip wasn’t that same I was very disappointed since I thought this wouldn’t happen in this place. I do not recommend it and I do not recommend anyone to leave there purse in there room. Even if it seems like nothing will happen. I took it for granted. Oh wait and nobody had not gone up to clean our room so it’s not like the housekeeping went by. They went by after we came back two hours later they asked for our room. Smh! Won’t be going back! Big surprise we took!!
The staff were 10/10 - friendly and could not do enough for us. They made the place one that I would return to. The location could not be better as your steps to all the restaurants and shopping - yet it was quiet and peaceful. For me, the problem was with a spray deodorizer/perfume smell which was so strong I would get a headache within 5 minutes of being in the room. Usual practice to spray room. Manager immediately went to action and re-did room with new sheets, netting around bed. The smell is so strong it took the first two days to resolve . I’m sensitive and have allergies but I would stay again and call first and the manager will ensure my room is not sprayed with the scent. It did not bother the others I travelled with. Room 6 has a very small bathroom. My friends room 1 has a beautiful bathroom. Each room is different. The breakfast was excellent and the staff in dining area again couldn’t do enough for us. The cook was great making whatever we ordered off the extensive breakfast menu. Definitely we will be back.
Great location and wonderful staff. I recently complained about a young lady at the front desk, but by the next morning, the manager had gone out of way to apologize and it reminded me why I love this hotel You won’t be disappointed if you stay at this lovely hotel
Excellent service of the staff,, especially the NIGHT CREW,, i will came back again, this is the 3rd time..😉
We had a great experience and the location is awesome. A wonderful experience. A full breakfast too. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a that rustic charm.
I wish I could’ve stayed longer. It wad a such nice plsce
This hotel is a converted, traditional, Spanish Colonial mansion, broken up into individual guest rooms, all with separate entrance onto a central courtyard. Our room was tastefully-decorated with authentic touches indigenous to the region. There is a long courtyard for guests to share, complete with a fountain and chairs/tables to relax and enjoy. This B & B is truly a serene haven and also close to the great shopping, restaurants, and bustle that Tlaquepaque has to offer. Service was very accommodating and welcoming. I will return for a longer stay!
Well maintained and tastefully decorated, with friendly staff and convenient location in Tlaquepaque
Very comfortable, clean, quiet, safe, well located with an excellent Staff Team. Breakfast has lots of tasty options. Many thanks!
Location, friendly and clean, breakfast was delicious always.
Good service. Overpriced, ants on the restroom and on our clothes, I told them to control it never did, hard mattresses.
Staff was very accommodating. Our flight left late and they watched our luggage happily until then. Olga, Jorge and Ana were very friendly.
Location is awesome, close to plaza, parian, stores, restaurants..etc.. Don't like...hotel condition.a lot .mosquitos , poor illumination,
Very good full breakfast included. Nice walkable location and tucked away in private garden.
Great location, near the Jardin Hidalgo and art district. Cool, funky rooms off of a long outdoor courtyard.
Beautiful little gem in the heart of Tlaquepaque. We booked the family room and it was super spacious and clean. The only downside would be the steep stairs to get to it but my kids didn’t mind, however, it may not work for an older or disabled person. But the remaining rooms are on the first floor. It has a beautiful courtyard and breakfast included. It is also walking distance to Tlaquepaque and all the shops. Also, the staff was always very helpful and friendly.
l liked how close it was to the main part. Also very quiet and clean, loved the birds chirping in AM
Mexican colonial ambience, great place in a grear location.
Loved the hotel. Staff was wonderful! Room was charming. Location was great. Room was quite. Breakfast was good, made to order with several choices. Bed was a bit firm for my taste but otherwise perfect. Will stay there again for sure.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, good breakfast, clean room, exceeded our expectations!
This classic hotel is 5 star all the way. Friendly english speaking staff, gorgeous room, modern fixtures including USB on the wall.
this is a charming b&b with only six rooms with a wonderful garden corridor to reach your room that feels very calming with birds singing. there is a very tasty breakfast included with many menu choices. the staff is extremely nice and helpful. my room was large with a mix of colonial style furniture and some non chic shabby and it had an overwhelming smell of some bad cleaner but I asked them to have the maid clean with only water and it was much better for the remainder of my stay. location is perfect.
The location of the hotel and quality of customer service.
Good location real close to the artisan district of Tlaquepaque., cozy nice room, good breakfast.
Loved everything about it! Staff were very helpful and breakfast was great.
This small hotel is across the street from the shops and restaurants. The staff are very attentive looking after our every need promptly. Breakfast was delicious and is your choice of anything on the menu.
A nicely run boutique hotel. Perfect location for all Tlaquepaque has to offer. Extremely helpful staff. Great made to order breakfast. A fun experience.
The privacy of the room above the pathway was nice; not all desk clerks are as customer-friendly, but Jorge goes above and beyond, cheerfully.
We enjoyed the quietness and peaceful atmosphere. The location is ideal for shopping.
Very nice, small hotel, close to everything! And, a great free breakfast, that's made to order! Very friendly English speaking staff!
I stayed here four years ago , and the sewer gas smell was strong in the room. They remodeled the bathroom , but the. Smell was still there.
I like everything about this hotel. It is quaint, friendly and run like the small family hotels in Europe. It is located next to nice restaurants and shops and the chef in the morning for breakfast is great. Everyone makes you feel welcome and important and try to do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.
Great location in the heart of Tlaquepaque, yet quiet and relaxing. Friendly staff with lots of good pointers.
Loved to stay in this hotel because its close to day & night activities and very comfortable stay
Beds need improved, mattress to hard, hurt my neck and back, mosquitos don't let me sleep..
The hotel was excellent thee service its excellent, beautifull everything just dont go out at nite i got picked pocket and other people had similar problems but during the day it was wonderfull
Wonderful breakfast! Kind employees! Loved my experience! I’ll make reservations again!
We had a wonderful time at Rosa Morada. Excelent costumer service, great food, very nice people it was more lake family♡♡ 10 out of 10
Property was great, the only thing we had an issue was that the bed was really hard and no AC in the room, just a fan.
I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to everyone. It’s prime location to everything. Chef oswaldo does a magnificent job.
Lovely hotel, great location
Great place to stay, close to shopping and entertainment, very courteous staff, clean, amenities, and loved the decor! I will go back.
Great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy walk to shopping and great restaurants.
Lovely staff, killer garden courtyard area, delicious breakfast!
It is just a few minutes walk away from the food, vendors and amazing sites. The actual site is beautiful and quiet. Don’t realize how near to all the activities you are it is so well disguised. The staff is courteous, very polite and the food by the Chef is Great as well.
Loved everything about this quaint bed and breakfast, including the food, decor, supplies.
The whole experience of staying at Rosa Morada was great. The staff were great and friendly. The room was clean. I would definitely stay at Rosa Morada again.
Great location, breakfast, and room. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the family room upstairs, and it had ample space. Our room also had a small refrigerator and it came in handy during our stay. This B&B is within walking distance to all the major sites, square, and restaurants in Tlaquepaque. I plan on returning soon and staying at Hotel Rosa Morada.
This is an excellent location with good security, excellent staff and a delicious breakfast. I always stay there.
The staff was wonderful. Great breakfast and right in the perfect location of the shopping and restaurant area.
The staff was amazing. There were able to get us a shuttle for 4:30am, very efficient. Made good recommendations for sightseeing and where to buy some tequila. Great hotel for a reasonable price.
Experience was great.
The location of the hotel could not be better. Alfredo at the desk was wonderful ! Very helpful in suggesting a great restaurant, calling a taxi and even gave me a hug when it was time to say good bye. r
We really enjoyed our stay at hotel Rosa Morada. The quaint little hotel had so many authentic features that it made us feel very much at home in Mexico. Its location was exceptional, it was only moments walk to the Pedestrian Mall, great and art galleries! The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the food was really tasty. We would definitely stay here again, but next time we would get a room with air conditioning.
Beautiful little B&B in the heart of Tlaquepaque! what’s not to love!
Everything was great. Food, great spot, rooms we’re clean great for couples, and the staff we’re polite... The only think I didn’t like was the mosquitos!!!
I loved staying here, the room was really nice and the staff so helpful, the breakfast was the best! I will definitely be back.
Have visited Tlaquepaque before and knew we wanted a closer hotel to the jardin area and shopping, this time. Hotel Rosa Morada B&B was a great choice. Convenient to everything we wanted. Breakfast items were of good quality and variety. Very satisfied. We recommend the Deluxe Room with king size cama. Self parkig however meant offsite and at market rates - $10.00 US in our case.
I loved my room! And the staff was amazing, helpful, and performed beyond my expectations. The location was perfect for visiting Tlaquepaque and returning to my room for a nap in the middle of the day.
Beautiful small hotel..so cozy and well decorated. We love it
Very good location close to the center of Tlaquepaque. Quiet place, but in the morning you can hear barking dogs and chickens.
Close to all activity bars restaurants main area of town
Great hotel in a prime location! Wish we could have stayed longer.
Pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for an old hotel and how well furnished and decorated.
We had decided to go to Tlacapacque for just the day originally but with friends recommendation,we chose to do an overnite ....we were so glad that we did! The staff welcomed us at 0930 ,as we arrived....it is a quaint little hotel right in the heart of downtown, with walking distance to everything.!....with check-in at 2:00,our bags were stowed until we returned after enjoying the sights, restaurants,& shops for the day. With a party of 3 single ladies,we were prepared to be in a cramped room ,....we were pleasantly surprised with our room.....it was very large clean ...tooth the king size & queen size beds were quite comfortable ...we even had a separate changing room with ironing board & iron, writing desk all equipped with coffee for the morning too. The lighting was our only disappointment as energy saving bulbs were being used which do take some getting used to not being as bright & clear... The staff were friendly, efficient and happy.....the Mexican quaintness of this hotel was most welcoming ...though our room was located on the second floor, the stairs were not a bother as it added to the charm of La Rosa Morada. A typical Mexican breakfast was enjoyed the following morning which was included with our booking.. Already we have recommended this B& B Hotel to friends here in Ajijiic,Mexico.
Lots of art shops, stores and restaurants. Tons of pedestrians having a good time.
I stayed at this hotel 2 months ago and everything was great. This time terrible. The room was so dark I could not see anything at the end away from the head of the bed which had only 2 small lamps which were inadequate. There was no workspace to sit and use my computer. Then came the nightmare. My room was the closest to the office. There was conversation almost all night. I assume it was the desk clerk and someone else but I'm not sure. They apparently did not know how loudly they were and could be heard easily from the room. At 4 AM some music started playing also loud enough to be heard in my room. The breakfast was great again as on my previous visit.
I beg to differ with all the reviews about breakfast. The cook is not good. Hot cakes were not edible. I agree about the desk service with everybody it is excellent during the turn of the daytime employee. He goes beyond his duty to Assist guests. The location is a 5 star. The best in the town of Tlaquepaque. The room was not great, in fact I did not like it at all. I did not like the bed, nor any or the furnituteor the green parrot of the wall or the big chairs. The closet too small, the sink design in the bathroom was not very useful. In general I was unhappy with the room but happy with service and location. I loved the walk to my room through the garden, that was unique and beautiful. The laundry was nice too. Breakfast abundant. Not great but since it was included we had breakfast every day and kept thinking maybe today it will be better but it was nothing like the reviews. I would go back but with more realistic expectations and a different room.
really great B+B close to heart of Tlaquepaque. Staff was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable. Guests were noisy but that seems to be the norm in Mex.
Excellent location. Nice patio. Nice decorative touches.
Excellent service, Alfredo at front desk was very helpful.
Staying at this hotel is more about staying in Tlaquepaque where it is extremely well located. However, it could use some updating.
The staff are very welcoming. Lourdes offered me a drink on arrival. A large selection of breakfast choices.
I try to avoid chain hotels in my travels, I like the small quaint hotels when I travel. This hotel has the feel of Europe which I love. The people were very friendly, respectful and helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much and the location is great close to really nice restaurants and shops.
It was a great experience.
Beautiful decoration, everything was clean, romantic atmosphere, awesome breakfast! We would come back for sure.
The place is clean, bed is comfortable location is excellent. The only thing I didn't like was that we could hear people talking outside our room at 2am, but this was maybe because we picked the cheapest room which and everybody walks right past it. The other this noboddy mentioned is that parking is NOT included, so make sure you are prepared to pay 10 dollars extra for parking. Other than that it is great, breakfast is included and it was delicious.
We were welcomed with a corona! The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The heart of Tlaquepaque is just two blocks away. We enjoyed our visit will return the next time.
overall great. may need new bed sheets and comforter.. however I've stayed there many times....
Wanting to avoid Guadalajara proper I chose the Rosa Morada for its central location and walkability to the park, artisan shops and restaurants. The flamingo pink hotel was quiet, probably by virtue of its proximity to the City Police Dept. The maid, who looked like an extra in a Hitchcock film, eyed us with contempt while the overwhelmed desk clerk scurried around in a frenzy of activity. Given a gargantuan room key, we were lead down a courtyard of tropical splendor—lush native plants, brilliant flowers, swaying trees, birds winging their way to an azure sky. Outside paradise–inside “Night of the Iguana.” The dark room had Spanish Inquisition style décor although they were obviously aiming for a jungle theme. The bathroom was tiny, grungy and inconvenient. We couldn't decide if the pillows on our lumpy bed were filled with boiled potatoes or braided gym socks. Breakfast was a fiasco with an inept server and bland food.
Great space with clean rooms, great service and delicious breakfast.
