I loved the fact that the towels were clean and the sheets were proper, the room was exceptional

The cleaners came knocking around 9 and burst open, I would have appreciated it if they check who has checked out before coming into the rooms

The fact that when doing the booking, I was under the impression that breakfast was included in the booking, only to find that it was not included.

We did not had breakfast.

Bathroom basin waste was blocked and the cupboard had old towel and waste inside.

No fridge in bedroom

The size of the room was vey appropriate and the bed was confortable

The attitude of staff when i told about tht charger in the room which was not working.It took them 48 hrs to solve the problem.Only one lady showed concern about my predicament. The fact that there were no plugs nearthe headboard.It made charging the phone a big project , hence, the dissapointment about the non-working plug.I also did like the comment about staffer who askes if who could ask trust me ro iron my clothes in another room which he had opened for me to iron the clothes.

The location is very good, I really liked the carpet inside the passage and inside the room, thanks very much for both the shower and the bath in the bathroom, some hotels have only a shower and some only a bath

Very cold water for showering in the morning

Staff was friendly and the location of the Hotel was good, quick to travel to Brooklyn and quick to het on the highway. Comfortable and clean cushions and bed.

The silicone sealant on the shower panels had a lot of mould on them and the carpets looks very old. The TV channels did not have 1 option that I enjoyed, with that said I didn't have time to watch TV but a few more options would be great.

It was close to most things and central. Safe parking and awesome restaurant. Rooms were spacious. Water pressure ok.

I was kept up all night by the noisy road and taxi stopping area. i will not stay there ever again if this is how it is. It kept me up all night and I had to drive to DBN the next day. The hotel security and night manager did nothing in anticipation of this, as if it was the norm. The noise from the taxi's and people on the road shouting was all night long and eventually stopped when we left at 7 as we were not there anymore.

We drove all the way from Botswana, but despite booking in advance, we had to wait because our rooms weren’t ready at check-in, we ended up getting different rooms from the ones we had booked, which was disappointing

It was very clean. And there was a 24 hour service watsapp line

There was no fridge in the rooms, I also would’ve appreciated a smart TV.

The place is clean and easily accessible. For work purposes or conferences around Hatfield, it is convenient and accommodating.

Guests having a party in their room next to us from 01:00 until 03:00, could not sleep at all. I called reception, at first they did not reply but when they returned my call the noise stopped. Rooms facing the street are quite noisy until very late, taxis.

There was no bar fridge in the room, it would be better if they could provide one in the rooms.

Our stay at City Lodge Hotel Hatfield this past weekend was nothing short of exceptional. As a frequent guest, I have always appreciated the quality and consistency of this establishment, but this visit truly exceeded all expectations. I had to undergo a small medical procedure during the weekend, and from the moment we arrived, Thabang was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable at all times, making every effort to assist with our needs during what could have been a stressful experience. His warm personality, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel completely at ease and truly welcomed. He is an absolute asset to the hotel and undoubtedly management material. The entire staff complemented this experience with their friendliness and professionalism, and the premises themselves were immaculate — neat, tidy, and exceptionally well maintained throughout our stay. We did experience a concern on our first night, which I discussed with the General Manager, Mr Mdu Mnyakeni, the following morning. I was deeply impressed by the manner in which he handled the situation. He listened attentively, treated the matter with seriousness and professionalism, and went well above and beyond what would normally be expected to ensure the remainder of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. His calm, experienced, and solution-driven approach speaks volumes about his leadership and dedication to guest satisfaction. I am genuinely in awe of both Thabang and Mr Mdu Mnyakeni for the outstanding way in which they handled everything. Their level of care, professionalism, and commitment to excellence is rare to find and deserves recognition. I would wholeheartedly recommend City Lodge Hatfield to anyone looking for superior service, outstanding hospitality, excellent facilities, and a team that truly cares about their guests. I have noted a concern there was no water for the toilet and bath facility and no drinking water in the room the bottle was empty and we told to fill to ourselves.

They did not inform us as we chose the property to prepare for surgery the next day.

The place is nice and clean, except that the room had no fridge and there was no drinking water in the room. Some of us especially if you not leaving in the area it's unsafe and uncomfortable to drink tap water.

Breakfast is a bit expensive R225 per person. Maybe they should also serve breakfast on the side that is not a buffet and which is affordable. If we are 4, thats almost R1000 for breakfast
