staff are lovely and helpful. centre of town. big rooms

No hot water or water pressure. Needed binoculars to see the tiny tv from literally anywhere in the room. almost no plug sockets except the one by the desk. Pool area nothing like the pictures. hotel is on its last legs. FYI the hotel is dry. Not necasserilly a bad thing as i don't drink and it is Indonesia, but certainly worth noting for others wanting a beer.

the hotel is old and not been well maintained. even the non smoking rooms reek like smoke, overall i did not have a bad stay here but i don't know if i could recommended it to anyone else

Mooie kamer, centraal gelegen en lekker zwembad. Uitgebreiid ontbijt.

Check-in long waitng 50 minutes after check-in time 14.00, furniture old then smell, and no people when check-out in the morning. Breakfast menu standard, little variasion of menu, stall egg also long service, in my room hot water not function maximal

Rooms were old, if you move the bed side table the dirt behind is insane.. toilet was old. No one spoke decent English. They said they had spa services and that wasn’t the case

Hotel in central of Padang, the room price is too expensive for the quality, I pay about 850.000 Rupiah per night. An old hotel needs to renew. View from the room is good. Staff is very friendly, good food in walking distance.

I didn’t get the chance to enjoy the breakfast because I overslept. But overall this hotel serves maximum service. My check in and out went well. The room is big the air conditioner and hot water worked well. Will come back next time to enjoy the pool and the breakfast. The location is also strategic near the market and public access. Prepare some cash for deposit, just in case.

Stayed for 1 night. Hospitality at the best. Staffs were wonderful. Our room on 2nd floor have no view (twin room). Furniture outdated but clean. Bathroom is clean with toothbrushes. But moldy/stinky smell due to flooring carpet. Love the setting at Nuansa Lounge. Their Ice Caramel Macchiato was good. The foods we ordered was not bad. However, for extra towel you are required to pay extra Rp150.000. Located on a busy street especially during weekends. Walkable to restaurants, food stalls, shops, etc.

I would suggest anyone to recheck what you are booked for. Our experience at Rocky Plaza Hotel is as follows: 1. We were given a non smoking room of annoying smelly cigarette smoke room (even though the management gave a IDR 500,000 for smokin in the room fine). 2. Upon room changing - i found that less maintainamce have been done by the management, such as murky smeels, the parquete floor need change, bathroom doors, window, etc are either needed change nor need serious clean up until i settle for a compromised ‘ok’ room. 3. Bathroom - others than the above mentioned in no. 2 your water drainage system needed serous fix as the water wouldn’t drained quickly (either in bath area and also in wash basin) 4. Our room has windows, but we are facing a wall.. so practically no view! 5. Price - cant complaint, economical for our short trip. 6. Location, not bad.. near the famous Kampung Jawo market and so its near by good food/restaurants. We purposely not booking a room with breakfast since we wanted to taste the local breakfast around our hotel. 7. Service - front office team were very helpful 8. Cleanliness - this has to be one of the management focus as most of your room are not properly cleaned.. not only because the items are not properly dusted but i think some changes / renovation is needed. 9. The lounge at the lobby - dark! If you allowed guests to smoke in the lounge, please manage your air circulations! 10. Entrance.. our car had to queue due to the hotel entrance is at the same entrance of the department store next door. The entrance has no path for wheel (and wheel chair) so we had to carry our bagage. In overall, for my personal taste i found this hotel less enjoyable to stay.

The manager and staff couldn't have been more friendly, polite, and helpful ! We enjoyed the large pool and the terrific buffet breakfast. Central position with supermarket next door.

I stay here when surround the hotel is under construction and all the thing quite no contriol ,, but all is good , near market food and all the small convinience store , also walking distance small plaza

a little experience . the time when I check in even though I had booked the hotel online and was paid, but I was billed again by the receptionist named "Dudung", and in the end I was disappointed and replaced another hotel and reported to the hotelbeds, the hotelbeds confirmed my report strangely, the hotelbeds have made payments and my order status has been check in and has been check out and I have to pay the bill my advice please help the receptors named dudung is more cooperative, don't just make an argument, instead talk with a tone of snapping

bit old building but warm. good location just beside mall/market. unfortunately my room indows are dirty, otherwise the mountain view will be perfect. budget hotel. good variety of breakfasts. family friendly.

Me...so much like the location of the Hotel, near the Local Market, so its very easy to find local snack and the authentic cuisine with so much spice and tasty ingredients of local foods. very easy to find public transportation also to go around the city and blend with the local. Very comfort place to stay also.

Great hotel with fairly luxurious style, friendly staff, full facilities. Room was comfortable and clean, although it could have been slightly cleaner, with marble table surfaces showing some grime. Overall, a very good place to stay. Reasonable value for money without being an obvious bargain. The hotel attracts mainly well-to-do Malaysian and domestic travellers. My room was relatively quiet. If you like market shopping, you cannot get any closer to the absolutely enormous street markets right outside the front door.

Good place to stay in Padang as it centrally located in the middle of the city. Located closed to street market and besides suzuya mall. Only took us 35 minutes to the airport which cost us IDR81,000 (approximately MYR 23) via GoCar (please use GoJek application as its really cheap! 😆) .. Plus, it located 10mins from Padang beach ! , around 15-20mins to Pantai Air Manis to see the stone sculpture of Malin Kundang... Transmart, basko mall, Masjid raya also located not very far from the hotel (via gocar) Hotel service was great!! Awesome breakfast with variety of food.. Well trained staff.. Thanks to a staff name RINO for helping us during our stay from 20 - 23 June 2018.. Definitely will come back again to this hotel for future visit! 😍

A bit old design but strategically located in the downtown. The room was spacious. It also integrated with a department store so it was easier to buy things. The breakfast was wonderful. Plenty of choices with authentic yet great tastes.

We stayed at this hotel on the weekend. We got a 7th floor room with twin bed. We got a montain view room. Over all the room was nice. But the toilet faucet was a little bit leaked, so it made a puddle on the bathroom floor. The breakfast was on 2nd floor. And it was delicious. there are many variation of breakfast. anything i want was there. many kinds of porridge, fried rice, soto, egg station, bread.. you name it. and i love my breakfast. And my kids love swimming pool. It was on 5th floor, an outdoor one. one of the advantage of this hotel is that it has a dept store on the 1st floot. so you can buy anything or just window shopping. Anyway, this hotel is located on Jl. Permindo. one of the street in the heart of Padang that full of many stores. At night, there are food street that offers you traditional cuisine. you could try some...:-)

The hotel facilities was very good. The location of the hotel in the heart of the market place helps in shopping. The bathroom fixtures can be changed as some of them look old and broken. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This was my first time to stay at the hotel. It is located in Bukit Tinggi and it just a five minutes walking distance to jam gadang and pasar atas. I forget what was my room type but it was comfortable room with mountain view balcony. I spent my night in the balcony because the weather was cool. Bukit Tinggi which means high land has cool weather. At the breakfast time, the restaurant also served traditional minang food such as ketupat gulai paku, lupis cake but it vary each day.

The Rocky Plaza Hotel is a cool hotel. Breakfast was splendid and the restaurant can cook up a storm. Staff are friendly and helpful and the housekeeping staff never disappoint by giving me clean and fresh towels every day without fail. The pool is also a feature of this hotel. It is one of my favourite places after a long day out cycling. Love this hotel and I will be back for sure.

The pillow Smells like saliva, and they almost charged me Rp .100.000,00 because i don't clean my food after i ate it what? And the room boy was rude ,this not about the money this is about the rule that i never sign before ,Ridiculous, this will be myfirst and my last

Book for twin room (1 night only), reception counter staff very good. Breakfast was delicious and many choice. Room was clean and this hotel have mini bar with live band. This hotel have pool, and market.

My daughter and I spent 9 nights here in January 2017, and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean and inviting. The foyer and ground floor lounge were impressive,and the bar/lounge also do light snacks. The pool was great, and they provided towels. Our room was at the back of the hotel; good, very clean, and the bathroom was clean and fresh, providing toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower caps. There was a jug provided and tea,coffee and sugar. The power point in our room was a bit dicey, so we used the jug in the bathroom.There was a small fridge. Hotel also provided 2 bottles of water daily. The best part was the free breakfast. Wow! It included juices, mineral waters,cereals and milk, plus a big hot buffet. It included noodle and rice dishes, chicken and fish. There was also an egg station, where they cooked fried eggs and omelets to order- delicious. There was a big range of sweet treats, cakes and donuts, also toast and condiments. Fantastic- enough to last you till tea-time! There are food stalls and other stalls in the street each evening. There is a department store next door, which sells groceries and other items. Shops all along the road, including a bakery and many clothes stores. Also a general market on weekends. Staff at reception were helpful, as were concierge staff. Apart from a booking hiccup -I would advise everyone to reconfirm your booking- we had no problems, and I would be happy to recommend this hotel to everyone.

kami sekeluarga menginap selama 2 malam, kamar dan pelayanan hotel sangat bagus, hanya saja akses menuju hotel melewati pasar. sekedar usulan, perlu dibuatkan jalur khusus agar perjalanan menuju hotel menjadi semakin mudah dan lancar.. salam,

Staff was friendly. The hotel is old and a bit rundown. Breakfast was mainly Asian dishes but you could get your scrambled eggs made. I checked in very early but got a room without hassle and they even gave me breakfast. You can get a massage in your room, no Spa in the hotel. Happy ending offered.
