Hotel Alilass

Great stay, altho airport shuttle failed to collect us

Excellent included breakfast. Great location. Nice property with very helpful staff.

Property was clean

Very nice hotel, centrally located, close to many of the most interesting places to visit. The Blue Mosque is a less than 10 minutes walk away and from there you can easily reach the Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sofía, the Grand Bazar or the Topkapi Palace. The room is a tad small but I was by myself so no problem there. I wouldn't give them five stars just because it lacks an elevator so it's not accessible for everyone. Other than that I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend the Alilass Hotel.

Is our one night hotel to go in Istanbul

All good

Very nice hotel in a great location and amazing breakfast! Staff are very attentive and caring.

Wonderful stay at this small hotel. Rooms were clean, and as photographed. Breakfast was delicious and had a wide range of options that rotated on different days. Staff were really friendly. Area was not super noisy despite being in a busy tourist area. Close to tram links and Blue Mosque/Hagia Sofia. We had accidentally left personal items in the lobby twice and hotel staff kept and returned them to us safely and promptly when coming back to the hotel. Air conditioning is a god send and delightful to come back to after a hot day. Good room amenities (kettle, bar fridge), hairdryer was good.

Nice plece love

My stay was lovely! Hotel is in a great and accessible location, a 5 minute walk from the mosque and bazaar!!!! Dennis and the other lovely lady were very friendly. Bella the cat was so cute and loved pets! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Great experience with hotel Alinass, from the nice clean room (with balcony as we requested to have if possible) to the nice breakfast to the great kindness and services of the workers :)

Good location excellent service, nice and clean

Walking distance to sultamamet square. The staff were very helpful and caring nothing was too much. I have been in this hotel twice already and would definitely go again.

The property is well positiones within main attractions at walking distance like the blue mosque, also a variety of restaurants and shops nearby. The property is relly nice and the breakfast was really good and turkish style. Staff were attentive. The room was a bit on the smaller side as the building itself is old but fully renovated. It has all good amenities like AC, fridge, tea and cofees as well as bottle water refreshment everyday. The only downside was the shower door which opened inwards and as I am a bit muscular i could not fit and close the door due to limited space on the swing without fully squeezing.

Lovely place. The restaurants around the area are expensive but then it’s a very upmarket place. Nice view from the rooftop terrace where you can have takeaway. Lovely breakfast.

The hotel is very nice and well-situated within walking distance of the major attractions. Lots of good restaurants around too! The staff was super-nice and accommodating to me. They stored my bag before and after check-in, helped find a taxi, and even provided a vase for my birthday bouquet. When they found out it was my birthday, they gave me cologne. There’s also an adorable hotel cat named Bella. I highly recommend this hotel.

Only 2 English channels, both news. No elevator.

Breakfast is very good, no elevator. Walking on the stairs needs to be very careful, not for old person, good for young person.

Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Istanbul. The staff was helpful, amenities we great, breakfast was delicious.

Very convenient for main sites . Lots of restaurants nearby . Staff very helpful . Breakfast in garden very pleasant . Rooms small but modern and perfectly adequate .

Really nice staff, breakfast including which is really handy, room 304 nice and quiet

Cheep hotel

The staff and especially the Manager at the front desk was 10/10. Hotel was clean, cheap and budget friendly. The location was great as well, will definitely visit again.

It is a nice small clean place that is at walking distance to everything. The breakfast was great. Nice, simple and tasty. Shower water pressure was perfect and the bed was nice.

Me and my wife have stayed all over the world in different hotels but i have to say that this was one of our best stays. The location was absolutely amazing only 3 minutes walk from SultanAhmed Mosque and Higha Sofia Mosque and had so many restaurants and little grocery shops as soon as you come out of the hotel. The staff were absolutely Amazing so friendly and genuine. Murad, the young boy Bey , Daniel and the blond reception lady sorry cant remember her name. They arranged trips and guided us to whatever we wanted to see in istabul i can not say enough about them. Oh and the 2 cleaning ladies and the lady who made all the breakfast were brilliant aswell thankyou ladies. The hotel was spotless very clean rooms with everything you needed in them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone time and time again. 👏👏👏

The hotel staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the sites and the areas as well as helpful when I wanted to book a tour to the princess islands. They contacted the tour company and we were picked up from our hotel and dropped off at our hotel as well.

Very good location. But there is no elevators at the hotel. It was horrible to carry all suitcases to 3rd floors ( with their help of course). The host is very friendly and the room is quiet

From checkin to checkout, wonderful in every way.

T

No elevators No a/c or heat

Fantastic family run hotel. Location is brilliant and only a few min walk to the main attractions. Restaurants on thr doorstep.

It was excellent experience the staff very nice very welcome friendly helpful the food hall so good the area close to everywhere I definitely like it more likely I will come back again. Thanks for all the stuff specially the girl in reception 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The girl on the front desk is very helpful in providing tourist information. Her command of English is good, other staff members less so. Breakfast dishes were very tasty.

Great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. The room and bathroom was very clean and modern.

Propert was close to the major tourist sites. Probably took 6 minutes to walk to. Alot of restaurants nearby to choose from.

Would recommend staying at this hotel, location was fantastic. Gozde on reception was really helpful and assisted with booking evening cruise. Rooms a little small but very clean. All in all 6 of us had a very good stay x

There always was someone at reception which felt very safe and was convenient. The room was spacious, clean and we appreciated the daily water bottles. The shower could have been a little cleaner; there was some signs of mold in the corners… We were so close to the Blue Mosque and so many other tourist sites that made our tours very convenient.

Great place and very nice room

The staff in the hotel were lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. The hotel was lovely and clean. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because there is no lift in the hotel and no lock on the bathroom door / the bathroom door didn’t fully close. Other than that it is a lovely wee hotel

Lovely small family run hotel in a very convenient location. We were able to walk to all the main attractions. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was good & there were some different options each day. Would definitely recommend this hotel & if we return to Istanbul, would stay here again.

Nice and still quiet hotel in a very busy touristic area, almost every building is either a restaurant or hotel or both. Convenient location only 10 min walking from some of the major historic attraction of Istanbul. (Warning: the hotel didn't have an elevator, or at least I didn't see one).

Excellent location, staff very helpful. Room was wonderful and breakfast options were plentiful.

A great hotel friendly staff lovely breakfast with a choice of food short walk from all the sights I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone 😁

Outstanding staff always willing to help and offer advice. Will definitely stay here when we next visit Istanbul

Centrally located, within minutes of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern. If your plan is just to have a nice place where to sleep, this is a great option. If you want fine dining, a gym, sauna, etc., then, it is not. It worked perfectly for me and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to all the action.

Very good hospitality

Good Hotel

Visited Istanbul many times over the last few years, revisited again august 2024 and booked hotel alilass. Booking in process was very simple and easy, location is excellent, 5 minutes walk to the blue mosque and surrounding areas, also 5/10 minute walk to tram station. Multiple food options at the door step! Staff are excellent, friendly and always happy to help. Room is average size bedroom, with en-suite! Our shower was leaking however notified staff and this was resolved immediately. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels. There are also loads of trips which can be booked via reception, myself and my partner opted for the massage which was amazing loved it, reception arranged everything and it was perfect. Breakfast option available too, good selection of food but also loads of breakfast places nearby. Location is excellent and staff are amazing!

Good service experience 100/

I would highly recommend this hotel, friendly staff and very clean! It was close to everything, we had an amazing time

Excellent location, staff very helpful

Excellent for everything. Walking distance to blue mosque. Staff very helpful nothing was too much. Will recommend this hotel.

I want to share my brief experience at this facility. Initially, they refused to refund me despite proof of non-entry to the country. Despite attempts from Expedia and direct messages, they showed no flexibility. However, they did agree to reschedule my stay. Upon arrival, the reception directed us to a room that looked nothing like the pictures on Expedia – it was really tiny. We accepted it, but later, when I took a shower, water leaked under the door and even went outside the room. When we called the reception, the staff member was rude, insinuating that we didn't know how to shower and even raising his voice. Despite showing him the issue with the door's isolation, he claimed he had never encountered this problem before. He acknowledged it was their mistake only after one day when I showed him the problem again. He offered us another room on the first floor, but it was very noisy due to its proximity to the shops. When we asked to return to our initial room, he was rude again, claiming that we had used two rooms. Regarding cleanliness, the drapes were clean. Overall, I'd like to thank the blonde girl who showed great empathy and the guy who helped us to our room initially (I think he was the cleaner ). Unfortunately, the other staff member's behavior cost you this bad review.

The location of this hotel to all the main tourist attractions as well as lots of restaurants was its big draw for us. The room was clean and basic, a little small for longer that a few nights but more than enough for our three days. We were on the road side of the hotel and it was very, very noisy at night, which was inevitable given the location. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of home cooked cake and other products which showed a great attention to detail. There was a great rooftop terrace with a wonderful view of the sea with chairs and tables, which sadly didn’t seem to be used except by smokers and us!

It was a great place to stay! Staff are very friendly

Stayed in July. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Decent breakfast and friendly but unimposing staff. Didn’t love the aggressive tactics of the restaurant staff nearby but it seems to be everywhere. This hotel was an oasis of calm in busy Istanbul.

Loved it. Staff friendly and very helpful. Good location for restaurants and sites. I would recommend this hotel.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. Great location.

The hotel is in an excellent position for sight seeing. Major tourist places within easy walking distance. Lots of places to eat and drink on the doorstep. Very clean. Drink making facilities in room. Room was small but adequate/functional. Cleaned every day and linen changed. Would stay there again. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Excellent !

Great room. Helpful and friendly front desk team. The location was perfect to visit the main tourists spots in Istanbul.

Everything was good. The manager took great care of my parents and guided them well. The only drawback was that there was no lift in the hotel. The staff did carry my parent's luggage upstairs.

Located on a quiet street easily walkable to main attractions, Haggia Sofia and Topkapi Palace in about 5 minutes. Would stay there again.

Great location! If it is your first time in Istanbul this location is amazing, you are a short walk away from the blue mosque. The staff is friendly. The room is clean which is the many important part for me. And the size is good.

The room was very small and had almost no storage for clothes, toiletries or anything else. The only option was to keep clothes in the suitcase and store that under the bed. There was no room in the bathroom to keep any toiletries apart from a toothbrush and toothpaste. There was only one power socket in the bedroom, which was certainly not enough for 2 people with multiple devices. We had not realised in advance that there was no lift, and we were on the third floor, which was rather taxing, especially after a busy day out. However, the room was immaculately clean, the air conditioning very efficient, and the staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was fantastic. The rooms are clean and feels comfortable. We also enjoyed delicious breakfast and the staff was always friendly, helpful, especially in our early departure (3:30am). The gentleman who was taking care of the hotel was quite helpful and polite and helped us to arrange airport transportation. We loved this place and would stay there again.

Excellent hotel

Excellent property with excellent service. The room was in very good condition, the location of the hotel is perfect walking distance to all the landmarks such as the Sultan Ahmed Mosqie and Aya Sofia. Reception staff are extremely friendly and always happy to help with any questions. Highly recommended!

Hotel was in a nice location and a short walk to the Blue Mosque and Haiga Sofia. It was nice having breakfast included as well.

This hotel is cozy and clean. Friendly staffs. Location is walkable to the blue mosque, hagia sophia and cistern. It’s also near shops and restaurants. Parking is a bit hard and tricky.

Abbas and Godze were absolutely caring and the sweetest! They were a big reason to our relaxing stay at this hotel. Ready to help and guide us the second we needed something. 10/10 for sure!

This hotel is a gem! The room was clean and very nice. Breakfast was provided in the morning and had many options. It was so filling! Gozde at the front desk was always helpful in helping us find places. She would ask us every morning where we planed to go and gave us suggestions. She would check in with us upon our return every day. She was super nice. Abbas was helpful with our bags and he handled breakfast. He was ready with our coffee every morning. Overall this is a fantastic hotel located close to the blue mosque grand bazaar and the metro train which gets you to the port. The area is safe with many restaurants money exchange stores and markets. If you like shopping this is a great area. The hotel provides you with bottles of water in room

Wonderful hotel!!! Walking distance to all the major sites in the city like the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. The hotel itself was modern, clean and everything you could want from a city break. Highly recommend!

Great location. Small rooms. Helpful staff.

The hotel was brilliant! Everything was walking distance away. There are lots of restaurants just outside the door step. All staff was very helpful, booked all our excursions with just a few hours notice. Highly recommend staying here

The staff was unque helpful and respectful Especially dannis mourad and abbas

This was a really nice budget hotel. Great location. Clean and well maintained. Excellent and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Highly recommend!

We arrived on the 12th February. Denis along with his colleague were at the desk to great us. Staff have been really really helpful and made us feel welcomed. The hotel is situated in such a convenient place. We walked to the Great Blue Mosque, Sophia Mosque, The Great Mehmet Castle where he once lived and the Grand Bazaar! Honestly we didnt need to even get on the trams. Although if you wanted to its regular and near by to Alilass Hotel. Alilass is the place to stay especially if your a couple. Amazing food and shisha places around the hotel. I just want to say Thank you... to all the staff members for there kindness and for the amazing stay!

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very welcoming. Denis, Go”zde, Abbas and Murat were always available to attend to any needs or requests. A good team work all over. I will visit again and will recommend to friends and family. Keep the good works you are all doing.

A great little hotel just by the Blue Mosque.

Very clean and central, great hote

Everything in the hotel has a thoughtful design, from the minimalistic set up of the bedrooms to the inviting lounge and terrace. The hotel was impeccably clean, the rooms had exactly what you need, the location couldn’t be better and the staff was attentive, accommodating and friendly. I 100% recommend this place and definitely will be staying here on my next visit to Istanbul.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Alilass. We loved it so much that ended up booking more nights with them because we found it to be located in the perfect location, it's walking distance to all the great attractions! The staff was absolutely wonderful from checking-in to checking-out, amazing breakfast buffet, and overall the size and amenities of the room. We couldn't recommend this hotel enough!

The location was awesome! Minutes away from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Would've gave 5 stars if only they soundproof their room well. Space is a bit tiny and no elevator. Breakfast was great.

"The hotel staff was very good, and I would like to thank Mrs. Vasilica from housekeeping for her attention."

Really good hotel close to the haggis Sophia and blue mosque. Staff were helpful ,

Great service

Best hotel ever, staff, service, food, cleanliness…

This hotel is outstanding in every way except for the size of the rooms. The location is steps away from the main sites of interest and numerous restaurants. The hotel is modern, bright and clean. The breakfast room and the food are highly enjoyable. Most importantly the owners set a tone of friendly hospitality and service. We highly recommend this family run hotel.

An excellent family-run small hotel, which is ideally situated for exploring the delights of Istanbul. The staff are very efficient and friendly, providing many excellent suggestions to ensure their guests’ enjoyment of the city. The breakfast is great - lots of tasty options. Clean, modern rooms with everything you are likely to need. The few minor niggles we had on arrival (safe being left locked by previous guests, temperamental air con) were immediately and cheerfully fixed. Thoroughly recommended.

Great location and helpful staff

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff

Fab staff - especially Gozda on reception. Lovely breakfast (best eggs ever!) in a pretty garden room. Super convenient location. Would very happily stay here again.

Fantastic stay

Very good location. Boutique hotel with great staff. They arranged the airport shuttle for us at a reasonable price (EUR 45). AC worked well and room was very clean.

A friendly welcome when we checked in. Room was small, but comfortable and very clean with great air con. In a great location. Near to the Blue Mosque and tram links.

Please be aware this is a foul floor hotel with NO ELEVATOR. There is someone who helps you carry your bags, but what if you could not go up the stairs. Rooms very very very small! The photos you see on Expedia are not reflective of the property. There is no terrace. Breakfast is less than impressive and is in a very small Gazebo with all the hotel guests around you- you can’t breathe. And it’s only from 8-10 and they do not replenish the food once it’s gone. The nicest thing about this hotel is the kid Abbas who Carries the bags upstairs and serves you breakfast and served you at the bar. One man operation !

Absolutely wonderful to experience! Perfect location, comfortable rooms, great staff— even the breakfast was excellent! We’ll be back.

The courtyard is fabulous - a truly refreshing place to sit and unwind. The bedroom was adequate space for sleeping and clothes storage. The bathroom seems recently renovated and well designed. The breakfast buffet is served in a wonderful glass atrium. The service staff were very helpful and answered all my questions. The hotel is VERY close (3 blocks) to the Ayasofia and Blue Mosque. I used the airport taxi offered by Alilass Hotel. It was spacious, comfortable, and priced well.

We really liked the rooms it was very well furnished and designed. Very simple but elegant. Also the staff was very nice and helpful.
