The room was clean & the staff was amazing.

It was noisy. Other tenants were very loud & the noise from the road in the night because it's very close to the main road. I was not happy with the breakfast options.

Good price. Very clean.

The linen was removed from the room when we had breakfast so when we went back to the room we could not use it although we had not checked out.

The location is perfect. The rooms are very clean. The staff was nice.

The beds are not comfortable, my body was aching. The iron needs to be cleaned or changed, I burned my trouser cause the iron was sticky.

The rooms are extremely small, the dressing table chair can hardly pull out then it is on the bed. Two work colleagues shared this room thus two single beds ...bathroom is. not private qt all when opening shower door you step into the room so need to get dressed in the shower, only TV channels is news and african channels, we did enquire at reception but was instructed that they cannot do anything about it. We were booked for two nights, but checked out after the first morning already

Food took long to be ready. Even when ordered online. Aircon wasn't working. Asked 1 of the staff member to assist me with that but unfortunately I was never assisted.

The friendly service since we arrived until we left. The bed was so comfortable. Warm water in the shower and enough towels for us to use.

Maybe there can be a toiletbrush in the bathroom and some airfreshner spray.

I got to my room and it was a disgusting mess. Beds were not made , sheets on the floor . They sent me to another room. Sleeper couch did not fit in the room . Sleeper couch was not made up. They gave me a sheet and I had to make the bed myself. Blanket in the cupboard smelled very bad and dirty . Main bed had hair and brown marks on the sheets. I immediately left and I got refunded .

The location was accessible, the restaurant beautiful, and all around clean.

I think I was not mentally prepared for how minimal the amenities were. The rooms are tiny and the shower is small. I am not saying it's wrong; I think as a first timer, the pictures don't prepare you for what you actually find.

The breakfast was good.

There was no electric blanket on the cold weather conditions, and charging station near the bed. The heater/air conditioner was too loud, and dried air in the room. The bed was not as confortable as it was from my last stay there.

Location

Cockroach in my room; noise from the kitchen/dining early morning; room too small, no window/extractor in bathroom, sleeper couch too small and uncomfortable; no room service even after I asked for it.

I have submitted the invoice application but have not received any response for a long time. I also raised a request via the app, yet there is still no feedback.

Noise levels made it difficult to get a good night's sleep, and the overall standard was well below what we expected. Customer service was also lacking. Staff were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in addressing concerns. The property did not represent good value for money, and the experience fell far short of the standard advertised. This was the starting point for Sunway Safaris and would not use again if they continue to use that hotel.

The overall service at the lodge was highly impressive and provided a much-needed relief during our local utility outages. The convenient location made it easy to manage our daily routine, and the breakfast was a great, hassle-free start to each day.

Since we stayed here to escape outages at home, we found everything met our expectations perfectly and have no real complaints.

We booked and paid in full for a 4-night stay (check-in Monday 29th, check-out Friday 3rd), including breakfast for two guests. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, our experience was extremely disappointing. On check-in, the staff allocated us the wrong room, and when we requested the room we had booked, the staff were rude and unhelpful. That same evening, my two colleagues ordered dinner at 7:00 p.m., but only received their food at 9:00 p.m. They were exhausted after a long day and were literally falling asleep while waiting. Despite the excessive delay, the staff showed no apology or concern. We also found the rooms to be below an acceptable standard of cleanliness. The following morning (Tuesday), my colleagues went for breakfast, only to be told that they could not be served because they had not ordered breakfast the previous evening. At no point during check-in or the night before were we informed that breakfast had to be pre-ordered. As a result, despite having paid for breakfast, they were left with nothing to eat. To avoid the same issue, breakfast was ordered for Wednesday morning. However, only one of the two guests received breakfast, even though we had paid for breakfast for both guests from Tuesday through Friday. The takeaway breakfast that was eventually provided was completely unacceptable and far below what anyone would reasonably expect. I contacted the manager to resolve the matter and request a refund for the breakfasts we had paid for but did not receive. Initially, she refused to speak to me. When she eventually did, she was dismissive and arrogant. During the conversation, she muted me while I was speaking and handed the phone back to my colleague without resolving the issue. Since then, staff have laughed at us, been disrespectful, refused to assist us, and made us feel embarrassed and unwelcome. We paid for services that were either not delivered or delivered to an unacceptable standard.

This has been my second time staying at Rivonia Lodge. Its very central to everywhere I needed to go to, close to the mall and restuarants and very friendly staff. As said in my previous post when I stayed at the lodge that Pearl is the reason I came back to the Lodge. She helped me since the time I arrived up until I left.She made me feel welcome and went beyond the call of duty.

Pearl welcomed me at the Lodge upon my return and made me feel welcomed from the moment I stepped in. She made sure that I was comfortable and kept checking up on me. So thank you Pearl for being such a gem. You are definitley the reason i will be coming back to the Lodge in Rivonia.

Gostei muito da estadia neste Hotel, próximo do local onde precisava estudar.Ambiente seguro, funcionários atensiosos, pequeno almoço bom e boa limpeza.

Gelegen in veilige regio in Johannesburg , personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Goed en betaalbaar ontbijt. Perfect als je een aantal musea in Johannesburg wil bezoeken (bv zeer dichtbij Liliesleaf Farm). Ook ideaal als je op doorreis bent en 1 nacht in de stad doorbrengt.

Door de ligging in een stad is er geen tuin of zwembad. En voor de alleenreiziger: er heerst geen hostel vibe. Dit doet er echter niks af aan de kwaliteit van het hotel!
