A very clean and tidy one bedroom apartment with everything you need in a great location. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was a bonus. The hosts Matt and Hannah were exceptionally friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them.

A blind on the door for a bit of privacy would be good.

On the night we stayed, there was power outage across fox glacier and towns close by. Our detail of bookings were not accessible through their online system. However, we were provided with a beautiful and spacious room (we were able to see how nice the room is in the next morning :D). The restaurant nearby - Betsy and Jane, provide the best food indeed!. Tarn and Beamish are super cute and smart. Really nothing to complain

היינו שלושה אנשים, קיבלנו שדרוג לדירה עם חדר שינה נוסף, מפנק ממש. המקלחת הכי טובה שהיתה לנו בניו זילנד. מטבח מאובזר.

המקרר היה על מצב מקפיא ונהרסו הדברים שלנו במקרר, אבל לא נורא. חוץ מזה הכל היה מעולה.

Had an awesome view and was super warm

We liked the outlook and how helpful the staff were. They came up with good suggestions. It was warm and cosy and we appreciated the electric blankets. The updated bathroom was beautiful and the shampoos etc were quality. PS The dogs were adorable and obedient. Also liked the chooks and the horse.

Just a small detail but the room and bathroom were lacking hooks to hang your belongings.

I loved how close it was to everything and the views were incredible but the one thing that stood out was the friendly staff.

Only complaint would be the hot water ran out too quickly but I was in the shower for well over 10 minutes so that would be why.

Everything!!! Room was luxurious with plenty of space. Bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in a long time! Shower was amazing too! Chris & his partner were super accommodating & friendly to deal with!

Beautiful room and views ! Heated floors in bathroom. Plenty of heaters so room was nice and warm. The owners were very helpful as the roads south were closed and they helped provide information to help our journey!

It's a very nice place for those who enjoy peace & quiet. Fox Glacier is a very small town but a very peaceful place.

The nearest bigger town (which is also a pretty small town) is Franz Josef which is about 20 minutes drive away

Cottage was such a well equipped and comfortable space.

Clear glass on back entry door needs to be opaque for privacy.

It was a little cold for me, I could have done with another heater, but I was unwell.

We loved our stay in one of the cottages at the motel. It had everything we needed and it was in great condition. The bed was so big and comfortable and the bathroom even had heated tiles. The host, Matt, was very welcoming and friendly, as were his 2 dogs who were regular visitors to our cottage 😊 There was also a friendly horse in the paddock behind the cottage's small back yard. All in all it was a fantastic place and we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Ein unglaublich toller Aufenthalt im Cottage: unfassbare Aussicht direkt auf die Berge! Modern, chic eingerichtet und viel Platz, sehr sauber! Super ausgestattete Küche, renoviertes Bad mit Fußbodenheizung, Klimaanlage im Wohnzimmer und Heizung im Schlafzimmer. Idyllische Lage, Eigentümer super nett und immer hilfsbereit. Für Tierliebhaber geeignet: zwei sehr gut erzogene Hunde vom Motel, die frei herumlaufen und gene spielen und gestreichelt werden. Ein Pferd auf dem Nachbargrundstück direkt vor der Haustür.

Ubicación extraordinaria, con vistas al mount Cook y cerca del lago Matheson. Habitación amplia, cómoda y con buena calefacción. Propietario muy amable, con perros muy simpáticos. Muy buen precio, aprovechando que el invierno es temporada baja.

Nada, fue estupendo. Lo único es que está un poco alejado del pueblo, pero con coche no es problema, se gana en tranquilidad.

All round great stay. We had a cottage with an enormous bed. Unit was roomy and clean and equipt. Close to all needed and sights. Matt at reception was very informative.

Beautiful unit. The owner upgraded us to a more accessible unit when we mentioned that one of us was somewhat disabled. Thank you for that. Beautiful decor and furniture and perfectly situated to get amazing views of Aoraki Mount Cook.

Everything went very smoothly. Matt was lovely! We ended up getting a bigger room which was incredible. Lots of room, clean, heaters already on, had everything we needed.

Nothing that I did not like

The motel is in a great location, short drive to the main restaurants in fox glacier. The owner was so welcoming during our arrival and check in and made us feel right at home. Best part of the stay was spending time with the 2 cute dogs Beamish, Tarn and their pet chicken! Spent lots of time playing fetch with the dogs as it was rainy the whole time so we couldn’t go out. The house was warm, really spacious, comfortable and homely, equipped with sufficient kitchen stuff to cook a simple meal.

Only downside was the WiFi connection and tv connection due to the rain but other than that, we absolutely loved our stay!

The view of Mt Cook from our room was stunning. Our room had everything that we needed and more. Quiet, comfortable, spacious and very well equiped. 10 out of 10

Wonderful place! Very spacious apartment, with everything we needed. Amazing views. The washer in the laundry room was broken, so the staff offered to let us use their personal washer! Gave us great recommendations for the timing and place to get the best views of the glacier. Kitchen was well equipped, even providing six servings to make coffee! Also, Fox Glacier is much more relaxed and lower key than Franz Josef Glacier, which we appreciated. Hope to get the chance to stay there again!

The location was fantastic! The views from our room were spectacular and it was so quiet.

Just a small thing but hooks in the room/bathroom would have been nice to hang wet towels and our wet jackets after walking in the rain. Definitely not a make or break on how we felt during our stay.

We stayed in cottage 2 and it was excellent. Amazing view of the mountains. The cottage was newly renovated and had absolutely everything and more. From check in to check out, this was our best stay on our travels in NZ.

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely view from our room of Mt Cook. Location was excellent.

The front entry door had a large glass portion and you walked straight past it if accessing the bathroom. Anyone walking by could clearly see you. Not good if coming from the shower unclothed. The window in the door needs a blind or a curtain.

We stayed at the cottage and it had such a good view of Mount Tasman. Everything was squeaky clean, comfortable beds. Above all, great service! The owner let us check out late as I had an afternoon meeting and let me finish my meeting. We get to meet two friendly doggos and the owners cute son.
